Three Recent Looks, PowerPuff Girls x ColourPop Palette

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! Today I’m back with one of my favorite styles of post, a Three Recent Looks and this time it’s all about the PowerPuff Girls x Colourpop Palette. I’ve been saying for a while that this post was coming, life happens, other palettes show up and require attention, but I’m a woman of my word so here we are.

I really like this palette. I think that it’s very versatile and you can have a lot of fun with it. All of the shadows are very pigmented and nicely formulated.

For the first look I wanted to do something that incorporated all of the PowerPuff Girls and I really like how this one turned out. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed using the Hanalei Beauty Company Matte Bronzer. Then, because I wanted a different tone of blush, I went into the Too Faced Christmas In London Palette and mixed the Pretty & Punk and Carnaby Sweet blushes. I highlighted with a mix of the first two shades from the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glowdient Palette

IMG_1529

IMG_1535

For my eyes, I first primed them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I moved to the palette. The first shade I took was Silico and I not only packed it on the outer corner of my eye, but blended it up into the crease as well. Then I took Chemical X and applied on the rest of my eyelid. To bring together the theme of representing all of the PowerPuff Girls, I then took RowdyRuff Boys and brought that halfway under my eye and for the other half I applied The Fashionistas. On the inner corner of my eye, I dabbed a little bit of Chemical X. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips, I lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner and filled them in with the KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Muneca. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

My second look is Blossom inspired and I love how this turned out, I think it really showcases how pretty the eyeshadows are. So the first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_1527

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer. Then I applied the Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and highlighted with the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter.

When it came to my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette and applied a light layer of Pokey Oaks in the crease. I then took Girls Rock and packed it on the outer corner of my eye and for the rest of my lid, applied Frenemy. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara. For my lips I took the Dominique Cosmetics Creamy Fill & Define Lip Liner in Crush and used it as an all over lip color. I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

My third look is Bubbles inspired and I had a lot of fun with this one. Any look you can use glitter, is an extra fun one. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Translucent

IMG_1528

For the rest of my face, first bronzed with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer, then I applied the Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and highlighted with the shade Icy from the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette

IMG_1533

IMG_1539

When it came to my eyes, I first primed them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette and blended a very light layer of Crime Fighting in the crease. I then took RowdyRuff Boys and packed it on the outer corner of my eye. I decided that I wanted an extra pop and fun element, so I used one of the glitters, Townsville. I thought about using the other glitter, Superfriends, but I wanted a contrast. Although I have used Superfriends in another look and it’s very pretty. I wanted a little pop of color and brightness to bring it all together, so I took the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Big Splash and lined my water line. I lined my eyes with the KVD Vegan Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips, I first lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner and filled them in with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

Three Recent Looks, Beauty Bakerie Sour Ya Doin’? Palette

Hi everyone,

Today we’re back with one of my favorite styles of post, a Three Recent Looks and this time it’s with the Beauty Bakerie Sour Ya Doin’? Palette. You guys, this palette is SO GOOD! The formulation is great, as is the color range. All the shadows are very pigmented, go on smooth and creamy and blend very well. Beauty Bakerie did a fantastic job with this one.

This is a 9 pan palette with the theme of lemons and lemonade, it’s perfect for spring and summer.

IMG_1099

IMG_1100

IMG_1101

So, for the first look I really wanted to play off of the lemonade theme and use the yellow shades and holy crap. The metallic shadows in this palette are truly next level. The first thing I did was prime my face and to do that I used the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder

IMG_1354

For the rest of my face I first bronzed with the Hanalei Beauty Company Matte Bronzer, applied the blush from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee and highlighted with a mix of the first two shades from the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glowdient palette

IMG_1355

IMG_1362

For my eyes, I primed them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light, then I went into the palette. I took the matte yellow, Tart and blended it into the crease. Sometimes yellows can be disappointing in palettes because they are hard to formulate, but this one is nice. I then took Icy and applied it on my entire lid. Because I wanted a little extra brightness, I took the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Extra Frosting and applied it in my water line. I then took Tart and ran it 3/4 of the way under my eye and for the rest and in the inner corner of my eye, I applied a lighter layer of Icy. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara. For my lips I took the Dominique Cosmetics Creamy Fill & Define Lip Liner in Crush and used it as an all over lip color. I set the look with the Maven Beauty Rose Setting Spray

For my second look I wanted to play on the sweeter side of the Sour palette and I like this look a lot. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_1354

For the rest of my face I bronzed using the Hanalei Beauty Company Matte Bronzer. Then I went into the Ofra Charm Your Cheeks Mini Mix Face Palette and used a mix of the Pink Satin and Candy Apple blushes. I highlighted with a mix of Radiant and Icy from the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette

IMG_1357

IMG_1364

For my eyes, I first primed them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light, then I went into the palette. I took Sour and blended that into the crease, the I took Pink Lemonade and packed that on the outer corner of my eye, bringing it in about half way. For the rest of my eye I applied Sangria, I originally thought that this would be a good shade to use as a topper, and it still would, but this stands well on it’s own and I like it a lot. I then took Pink Lemonade and ran it under my eye about half way, for the rest of the way and the inner corner of my eye, I applied Sangria. I lined my eyes with the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner and filled them in with the Sephora Collection #LipStories Lipstick in 36, Spring Break. I set the look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

For the third look I wanted to use the other metallic in this palette, the orange, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder in Translucent

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer, I then used the blush from the e.l.f Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee and highlighted with a mix of the first two shades from the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glowdient Palette.

IMG_1366

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light, then I went into the palette. I took Bellini Me and blended that in the crease and for the entirety of my lid, applied Refresher. I then took Bellini Me and put it under my eye about 3/4 of the way and for the rest of the way and in the inner corner of my eye, I applied Refresher. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara. For my lips I lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner and filled them in with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set the look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

Three Recent Looks, Wander Beauty Wanderess Escape Palette

Hi everyone,

Today I have one of my favorite types of post, a Three Recent Looks, and this time it’s with the Wander Beauty Wanderess Escape Palette. I received this palette in my February BoxyCharm box and quickly discovered that I really like it, I’m actually wearing it today. Because they brand this as a ‘universal palette’ I wanted to test the range and I’m super happy with it.

When I get a new palette I do one of two things, I go for the brightest look I can put together or I go for a neutral look. And what I did with this one was go for a neutral with brown and a rose gold. For my face, the first thing I did was prime with the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_0984

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Hanalei Beauty Company Matte Bronzer. Then I applied the blush from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee and highlighted using a mix of Glowing and Gleaming from the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette

IMG_0985

IMG_0992

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. I then went into the palette. I put Nude Beach in the crease, then took Overnight and packed that onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it into the crease just a bit and blending that out. For the rest of my lid, I applied Daydream and because it’s so pretty, I then put Moonlit in the inner corner of my eye. I then took Overnight and put that under my eye, about 3/4 of the way and for the other 1/4, I applied Moonlit. I lined my eyes with the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips, I lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled them in with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set the look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

IMG_0986

IMG_0993

IMG_0794

For the second look I wanted to play around with the mauve/purple shades in the palette.

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer. Then I applied the Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and highlighted with a mix of Glowing and Radiant from the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette.

IMG_0987

IMG_0994

For my eyes, I first primed them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette and took Enchanted, putting it liberally in the crease. It’s a very buildable shade, so it was perfect to work with. Once I had built that up to where I wanted, I took Flourish and applied that to my whole lid. It’s a foiled shadow and it’s so pretty. I then took Enchanted and brought that under my eye about 3/4 of the way and the rest of the way and into the inner corner of my eye, I applied Flourish. I lined my eyes with the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I went to something that’s been a combo I’ve been really liking recently. I first applied a thin layer of the Trestique Prep + Shine Lip Crayon in Paris Pink, then on top of that, I applied a thin layer of the Wander Beauty Double Duty Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous and blended them together. I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

For the third look I really wanted to play off the beachy/vacation vibe you get when you look at the palette and there was a specific shadow I wanted to use. For my face, the first thing I did was prime using the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Translucent

IMG_0989

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Nars Laguna Bronzer. I then applied the blush from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee and highlighted with a mix of Glowing and Gleaming from the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette.

IMG_0990

IMG_0996

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette, took Sunkissed and put it in the crease. For the rest of my lid I applied Sea Glass, which is a shade I’ve been excited about since I saw the palette, and it really did live up to my hopes for it. It’s such a pretty shade. I then took Sunkissed and brought it under my eye about 3/4 of the way and for the rest and into the inner corner of my eye, I applied Sea Glass. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara. For my lips, I first lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled them in with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

Three Recent Looks, Too Faced Christmas In London Palette

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! Today I’m back with one of my favorite style of posts, a Three Recent Looks and this time it’s all about the Too Faced Christmas In London Palette. I find this palette to be super versatile, there’s a nice range of shades and finishes so the possibilities as far as looks go is endless really. The mattes are really smooth and blend out nicely, the shimmers are creamy and everything nicely formulated and very pigmented. The blushes are that way as well. It’s overall a very solid palette.

For the first look I wanted to do something fun but not too over the top and I do like a peachy/pink look. Overall I’m super happy with how this one came out. The first thing I did was prime my face and to do that I used the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_0728

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Hanalei Beauty Company Matte Bronzer. Then I went into the Christmas In London Palette and mixed Pretty & Punk and Carnaby Sweet blushes, it looks a little dark in the swatch but I did much less in real life. And I highlighted with the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter.

IMG_0729

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette, took Tower Of Lovin and put that in the crease. I took Piccadilly Thrilly and packed that on the outer corner of my eye, winged it out a little, and also brought it up into the crease a bit. For the rest of my lid I applied Too Faced At Carnaby. For a little brightness, I took the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Exit, and lined my waterline. I then went with Piccadilly Thrilly under my eye, about 3/4 of the way and for the rest and the inner corner of my eye, I applied Too Faced At Carnaby. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips, I first lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled them in with the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Crush. Blogmas Day Three: Winter Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Three! Today I thought it would be fun to share my winter skincare routine with you guys. I used to do a skincare routine post every season because I was changing and trying new products all the time, but my skin got very mad at me for doing that. I had to strip it back to very few things and once that started working I added a few things here and there and that’s where I’m at with it right now.

So the first thing I do is take off my eye makeup and lipstick and to do that I used the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. This is a product I’ve been using for ages and I really like it. It has a gentle formula but it’s super effective so you’re not scrubbing and accidently ripping out your lashes.

CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips 4.2 oz/ 125 mL

The next thing I do is take off the rest of my makeup with the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. I’ve also been using this for a really long time and I still like it a lot. It takes off all of the long wearing makeup and doesn’t leave anything behind.

tarte - SEA Deep Dive Cleansing Gel 5 oz/ 150 mL Clean at Sephora

From there I move to the Volition Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil. This is to help reduce the appearance of dark spots and discoloration along with hydrating and helping with moisture retention. I have a couple of dark spots and I can honestly say that this has helped tremendously with getting them to go away. I’m a little weary sometimes of correcting oils and such because I have used some that have done nothing, but this is not one of those. This is one I highly recommend.

Volition Beauty - Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil 1.1 oz/ 35 mL Clean at Sephora

The next step in my routine is serum and for that I use the Mine Tan. Body. Skin. Hydra Glow Sleep Serum with Triple Action Hyaluronic Acid. This serum is so good! It’s fast absorbing, it’s incredibly lightweight and says it’s anti-inflammatory. Because it’s a triple action Hyaluronic Acid you get the instant hydration but it’s also time release so you get that as you sleep giving you hydrated and glowy skin in the morning.

MineTan Body Skin Hydra Glow Sleep Serum Mine Skincare

After serum comes moisturizer and for that I use the Murad City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturizer. This is more than just your standard moisturizer. It does have nourishing botanicals to moisturize and plump while helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, but it also detoxifies the skin by neutralizing daily damage caused by pollutants and blue light. Which I really like because I spend a lot of time on my computer. This is also a slightly thicker consistency, which I like for winter and the colder months.

Murad - City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturizer 1.7 oz

The second to last thing I do is eye cream. I’ve been using two as of late. The first is one that I’ve been using for a while and really like, the Murad Hyrdo-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes. This deeply quenches and nourishes the under eye area, seals in moisture to restore smoothness and helps to reduce fine line and wrinkles along with dull and dry skin. The second is the Mudmasky Vitamin Infused Eye Serum. This has Vitamin C which is very refreshing and has an antioxidant effect. This also feeds, nourishes and firms the skin under the eye along with giving a vitamin boost and moisture boost. I like it a lot.

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture 1.7 oz/ 50 mL

Vitamin-infused Eye Serum

And the last thing I do is apply a lip product. Right now, and for a bit, my go to lip product has been the eos Natural & Organic Lip Balm Stick in Sweet Mint. I find the eos lip balms to be super hydrating and this one smells really good.

Eos Smooth Stick Lip Balm - Sweet Mint

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products in our winter skincare routines let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, enjoy doing your skincare routine and I’m glad you’re all liking Blogmas :).

Three Recent Looks, Tarte Falls Feels Palette

Hi everyone,

Today I have one of my favorite posts, a Three Recent Looks. This time with the Tarte Falls Feels Palette. I’ve been really enjoying this palette, even though it’s a smaller palette it has a lot of versatility and I’m having a lot of fun creating with it.

So for the first look I wanted to do something simple but still very much fall inspired. The first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with my Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_9521

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze using the Nars Laguna Bronzer. I then applied the blush from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee and highlighted using the mixture of the first two shades from the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glowdient Palette

IMG_9523

IMG_9529

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime using the Elizabeth Mott Cosmetics Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette and I first applied Homecoming, just to test it out, then on top of that, and in the crease, I applied a lighter layer of Hayride and on my entire lid I applied Apple Picking. I then took Hayride and put it 3/4 of the way under my eye and for the rest and in the inner corner of my eye applied Apple Picking. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. I lined my lips using the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled in my lips with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. Even though I forgot to include it in any of the pictures, I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

IMG_9524

IMG_9326

For the second look I went for ‘pumpkin but subtle’ and you’ll see what I mean. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with my Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze using the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer. I then applied the blush from the Fall Feels Palette and it’s aptly named, Fall Feels. And I highlighted with the Too Faced Angel Kisses highlighter.

IMG_9525

IMG_9531

For my eyes, I first primed them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette and in the crease, applied Hayride. I then took Pumpkin Patch and put that all over my lid. Because I was going for the pumpkin look, I took Sippin’ Cider, which is a deep green, and used that as liner. I then took Hayride and applied that 3/4 of the way under my eye and for the rest and in the inner corner of my eye applied Pumpkin Patch. And I topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips I lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled in my lips with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

IMG_9341

For the third look I went with one of my favorite combinations, gold and a dark color, this time blue, and with this combo it meant that I used all of the shadows in the palette. The first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Loose Setting Powder in Translucent Peach Whisper

IMG_9522

For the rest of my face I used the Ofra Mini Mix Face Palette in Good To Go. The bronzer is in the shade Current, blush in the shade Intentions, and I used a mix of the two lightest shades in the All Of The Lights highlighter.

IMG_9527

IMG_9533

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette and in the crease, applied Hayride. On the outer corner of my eye and into the crease just a bit, I applied Tailgate and for the rest of my lid, applied Corn Maze. I then took Tailgate and put that halfway under my eye and for the rest and in the inner corner of my eye applied Corn Maze. I lined my eyes using the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black. And I topped it off with the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara. Now, I didn’t intend to use the same lip color for every look, but I did them so far apart and without preplanning the looks, that it just ended up that way. For my lips I lined them using the Model Co Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled them in with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

IMG_9534

IMG_9374

That about wraps it up for this post, I really like this palette. The shadows are all really smooth, creamy and super pigmented. Even the blush is great, I like it a lot. Like I said, I like doing this style of post a lot, so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

October BoxyCharm Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my October BoxyCharm box and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme this month is Spellbound, which is obviously the perfect theme with Halloween and there are definitely some products in here that fit the theme well.

IMG_9433

So the first product we have is the Tarte Wink of H2O Vegan Collagen Eye Cream. They say that this is like an espresso shot for your under eyes. It’s supposed to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, has a light water based formula that gives 24 hour hydration and helps to firm and fight signs of aging with what they call hydroflex technology. This has a mix of marine plants, peptides, SEA surge complex, avocado oil, shea butter, caffeine and a vegan collagen complex. What it doesn’t have is parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate and gluten. I do really like the eye cream I’m using right now, and my skin is 50/50 on Tarte skincare so I think I’ll give this a try and if my under eyes like it then I’ll definitely incorporate it into my routine.

IMG_9442

The next product we have is the Ace Beaute Falling For You Eyeshadow Palette. When I saw this palette in the spoilers for the October box I was excited and was hoping I would get it because it looked so pretty and like the embodiment of fall. I have another Ace Beaute palette that I love and use all the time, so I knew what the quality of the palette would be. I love what they did with the outside of this palette, I like the use of the orange, gold and the fall leaves.

IMG_9445

You do get a decent size mirror with this palette and it has a nice gold boarder around it.

IMG_9446

This is a 12 pan palette with a mix of matte and metallic shadows that they say have been carefully milled and packed so you get the easiest application and excellent color payoff.

IMG_9447

I swatched these in the rows they appear in in the palette. So the first shadow we have is Apple, a really pretty metallic rose gold. Next to that is Squash, which is a matte lighter pink. Then we have Pumpkin Pie, which is a unique color, it’s a matte reddish/orange brown and the last shadow in the row is Autumn, which is a matte deep apricot.

IMG_9460

The first shadow in the second row is Pine Cone which is a matte, darker sienna brown. Next to that is Cherry Pie, a metallic pinky red with some purple glitter. Then there’s Spice, a metallic taupe shade but it’s a deep taupe and it’s actually really nice. And the last shadow in the row is Cranberry, a matte berry shade that I like a lot.

IMG_9461

The first shadow in the third row is Chestnut, a matte deeper purple. Almost like a raisin tone. Next to that is Persimmon, a matte yellow/orange. Then there’s Cider, which is an almost green/gold metallic and the last shadow in the row is Candy Corn, which is a very bright, matte blood orange. What I can tell so far about these shadows is they’re all very pigmented and have a really nice formula. I’m excited to play around with them.

IMG_9462

Moving on we have the Appeal Cosmetics Adhesive Liquid Liner in Jet Black. This is ultra fine liner that will have you ditching the tubes of glue to apply your false lashes. Prior to this I hadn’t tried an adhesive liner so I was excited to and I’m testing it today. So far I really like it. It’s simple and easy to use, all you do is wait for it to get tacky, then apply your lashes. If you’re someone who wants easier application or is just over lash glue in general, I would say to give this a try.

IMG_9448

IMG_9449

The second to last product we have is the Camara Aunique Beauty Mary Lash. These are faux mink lashes that they say are the most natural in their collection, is perfect for any woman who wants to keep it real with her beauty. These are a soft and light whisper lash that look perfect on any eye shape. I’m not the type to wear lashes everyday, but I do love a good set of lashes and these look like a good set so I’m excited to try them out and see how they look.

IMG_9450

IMG_9451

And the last product we have is the Tresluce Beauty Like An Artista Brush Set. Tresluce Beauty is a newer brand from Becky G and this is four piece brush set. These brushes are vegan mixed texture fibers so they make it easy to blend and create your ideal eye look. I really like the packaging on these and the fact that the brushes themselves are that same matte blue. They’re also really nice to grip.

IMG_9452

IMG_9454

One thing that I appreciate about the way they packaged these brushes is that each brush in the box has it’s own individual packaging. I can’t tell you how many times I take brushes out of a box and they’re smashed in some way.

IMG_9453

So with this set you get four brushes. The first is the B100 Deluxe Blending Brush. This brush, and all of them, are really soft. This one seems like a nice blender.

IMG_9456

Next is the B101 Classic Blending Brush. This is very similar to the Deluxe, but it’s shorter and slightly less fluffy.

IMG_9459

Then we have the B102 Angled Blending Brush. I don’t always use an angled blending brush, but they’re really nice to have.

IMG_9457

And the last brush we have is the B121 Rounded Pencil Brush. This is a great brush for applying color to your lower lash line.

IMG_9455

That about wraps it up for this post, if you got any of the same products in your October BoxyCharm box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get in my November box :).

September Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to do my September Favorites. I was so busy this month and I feel like I didn’t try a whole lot of new things, but I still have a pretty good mix so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my September BoxyCharm box, and if you haven’t read that I’ll link it below. My first Boxy favorite is the Pinky Rose Cosmetics Multi Use Makeup Base Sticks. This is the Duo Hip Hop and Jazz set. I have yet to use the Jazz side, but I have used Hip Hop a couple of times and I’m really liking it. Hip Hop is a cream primer stick and I’ve been using it as an eyeshadow primer. I like it because it’s on the slightly thicker side and once you apply it you can really feel that it’s going to do it’s job. It’s definitely made it’s way into my eyeshadow primer collection and it’s the only one that I have in stick form, so I’ve been reaching for it more purely for the convenience.

IMG_9307

IMG_9308

My last Boxy favorite is the Half Caked 813 Duo Brush. This brush is 100% synthetic, has a light lavender handle and the brush itself is a a tan shade on the bottom with a brown line in the middle and white fibers on top. This brush is decently soft, and it did sort out it’s shape after being smashed in the box, so it’s fully functioning now. One of the selling features of this brush is it’s supposed to give you an airbrushed finish and it really does. I usually have one or two brushes I use for blush, but this one is quite good and I think it’s decently priced for brush like this.

IMG_9314

And my last favorite is the Tarte Fall Feels Palette. I did a separate post on this, which I’ll link below, so I’m not going to talk too much about it. But I will say that I’m in the middle of doing my Three Recent Looks post for it and I’m liking it a lot. These are fun shadows to play with and I definitely recommend giving this palette a try if you haven’t already.

IMG_9261

IMG_9263

Moving on I have a TV show favorite and it’s the new season of the Great British Bake Off. I love Bake Off, it’s always one of my favorite shows and for the longest time America had to wait to see the seasons but with the deal they have with Netflix we get the episodes a couple days after they air in the UK and I love that. If you’re not watching this season yet, you should be, it’s a good one.

And my last favorite, well favorites, are music favorites. The first is the most recent Little Mix song Love Sweet Love. It’s such a bop, they’re making top tier music like always, but it’s so good and the music video is dreamy. Their costuming and set design is just epic.

My second music favorite is the most recent Doobie Brothers song American Dream. I’ve had this one on repeat as of late and it has all the hallmarks of a song of summer but you just want to sing along, and I obviously already know all the words. Their new album Liberte is out tomorrow and I can’t wait to hear everything. I preordered it and I’m excited to get it. If the entire album is as good as what’s been released so far we are in for an epic album.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your September favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great September :).

Tarte Fall Feels Palette Review

Hi everyone,

Today we’re back with another palette review and this time it’s of the Tarte Fall Feels Eye & Cheek Palette. I saw looking through the Sephora website recently, to see if they had any good fall-like palettes and I came across this one.

I normally wouldn’t show the outer packaging of a palette, but this box was too cute not to. The gold with the pink and the black and white really does give the fall vibes without being stereotypical fall. It’s a nice touch.

IMG_9260

The palette itself is one of the cutest I’ve seen in a while. It’s a pink and black flannel with a yellow stripe, and the best part, is it’s actually fuzzy. I love that they did this, it’s super cute and is the definition of fall feels.

IMG_9261

You do get a mirror with this palette, it’s a little round mirror that says ‘Tarte’ on the bottom. You might be able to see in this picture, and you’ll definitely be able to see in the next picture, that the flannel pattern runs inside as well with the shinier black on top of the matte black.

IMG_9262

So this palette is an 8 pan palette, 7 of those are eyeshadows and 1 is a blush. This palette has Amazonian Clay like a lot of Tarte products do for longer, truer and better wear, mineral pigments to soften and soothe skin and it has a light chocolate scent. This palette is also cruelty free, gluten free and has no parabens, phthalates, mineral oil or triclosan.

IMG_9263

The blush is in the shade Fall Feels and it’s a lighter pinky nude shade. It’s a little bit lighter than I usually go for, but I built it up for the picture and when it’s built up I like it a lot more.

IMG_9264

On to the shadows, the first shadow we have is Homecoming, which is a light matte cream. Next to that is Hayride, which is a matte warm tan. Then there’s Corn Maze, a really nice gold shimmer and the last shade on the top is Pumpkin Patch, a deep copper shimmer.

IMG_9265

Moving to the bottom, the first shade we have is Apple Picking, a red shimmer. Next to that is Sippin’ Cider which is a darker, forest green shimmer and the last shadow we have is Tailgate, which is a navy blue shimmer.

IMG_9266

That about wraps it up for this post, overall I think this is a great little palette and there is a lot of versatility. From the swatches I can tell you that the mattes are really smooth, the shimmers are nicely pigmented and pretty creamy. I will be doing a Three Recent Looks post with this palette, so look out for that.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Three Recent Looks, Dito Cosmetics Venus Palette

Hi everyone,

Today I have one of my favorite posts for you, a Three Recent Looks. This time with the Dito Cosmetics Venus Palette. I got this palette in my BoxyCharm box last month and instantly liked it when I saw it. I’m a huge space nerd and this appeals to that side of me.

IMG_9035

You get a good size mirror with this palette, which is always a plus and it’s actually a really good mirror for a palette.

IMG_9036

This is a 12 pan palette with 5 different finishes, there’s matte, shimmery, creamy, ultra shiny glitter and shimmer with sparkle. Because this palette was inspired by Venus there is a bit of diversity with the color range, so you do get the option to create some fun and different looks.

IMG_9037

So for the first look I wanted to do something with the golds in the palette and I’m really happy with how it came out. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder

IMG_9215

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed using the Nars bronzer in Laguna. I used the blush from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee and highlighted using the Touch In Sol Glowdient Palette and mixing together the first two shades.

IMG_9216

IMG_9222

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I moved into the Venus Palette and first applied Phobos in the crease. Because I wanted a darker brown on the outer corner I went into the ColourPop Limoncello Palette, took the shade Vespa and packed that onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it up into the crease just a little. For the rest of my lid I applied Jupiter and for a little extra glitter, dabbed a little bit of Deimos. I then brought Vespa under my eye about three quarters of the way and for the rest and into the inner corner of my eye I applied Jupiter. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I wanted a lighter brown for my lips, so I first lined them with the Vintage Cosmetics by Jessica Liebeskind Cashmere Lip Pencil in Mocha and filled them in with the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bombshell. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

IMG_9217

IMG_9223

IMG_9139

IMG_9141

For my second look I really wanted to play with the fun colors and do something the pinky shades and purples.

IMG_9215

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze using the Too Faced Extra Toasty bronzer. I then applied the Too Faced Daydreamer blush and highlighted with the Touch In Sol Glowdient Palette, using a mix of the first and third shades.

IMG_9218

IMG_9224

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Elizabeth Mott Cosmetics Eyeshadow Primer. Because I wanted a berry shade in the crease, I went into the Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions Palette and first used the darker shade (first shadow in the middle row) and to lighten it up just a bit, blended that with the lighter berry shade (last shadow in the third row). Then I went into the Venus Palette and because I wanted a purple shade, took Europa and packed it onto the outer corner of my eye, blending it up into the crease just a little bit. For the rest of my lid I applied Kallisto and topped it with Venus, which is such a gorgeous topper. I brought Europa under my eye about halfway and the rest of the way and into the inner corner of my eye I applied Kallisto mixed with Venus. I lined my eyes with the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara. I wanted a lighter lip with this look, so I first lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Nude Lip Liner and filled them in with the KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Muneca. And I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

IMG_9219

IMG_9225

IMG_9154

I did the third look when it was a colder, more fall like day, so I went for the orangey/brown fall vibes. The first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_9215

For the rest of my face I used the Ofra Mini Mix Face Palette in Good To Go. The bronzer is in the shade Current, the blush in the shade Intentions and the highlighter, which I used the top, bottom and shade on the left side, is in the shade All Of The Lights. It’s such a great and versatile palette.

IMG_9220

IMG_9226

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. I then went into the Venus Palette and first used Mercury in the crease, it’s a nude shade, but I wanted to bring a little brightness. I then took Phobos and packed it onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it into the crease just a little. It was looking a little light at that point, so I mixed in just a bit of Vespa from the ColourPop Limoncello Palette. For the rest of my eye I applied Mars topped with a dab of Moon. Looking at it you might wonder why I used Moon because it is a pinker shade, but it has some gold flecks in it that really come through if you have a light hand and it added a lot to the look. I then brought the Phobos/Vespa mix under my eye about half way and for the other half and into the inner corner of my eye applied the Mars/Moon combo. I lined my eyes with the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Liner in Black and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. I wanted a lighter nudey/brown lip so I first lined my lips with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Nude Lip Liner and filled them in with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

IMG_9221

IMG_9227

IMG_9169

That about wraps it up for this post, I really do like this palette, I think it’s a lot of fun and the shades are pigmented, blend well and you get a nice color payoff. I know that Dito Cosmetics has themed palettes similar to this one, so I’m definitely going to look at those. Like I said, I really like doing these posts so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).
