April 2022 Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought it would be the perfect time to do my April Favorites. I feel like this month went by so fast and I was so busy so I don’t have a huge list, but it’s a good mix so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, all of my beauty favorites are from my April BoxyCharm box and if you haven’t read that post, I’ll link it below. My first beauty favorite is the Beauty Bakerie Sour Ya Doin’? Palette. I have a ‘Three Recent Looks’ post coming with this palette so I won’t say too much. But I think it’s fantastic. The formulation, the pigmentation, it’s all top tier. Very well done by Beauty Bakerie.

My next favorite is the Dominique Cosmetics Creamy Fill & Define Lip Liner in Crush. This is so good! It’s very creamy, goes on smooth, and it has the teardrop shape so you can use the top to get that precise line and the bottom to fill in. I really like this color as well, it’s a nice light/medium nudey brown so it will go with so many lipsticks. I also used this as an all over lip color, which I do often with lip liners to get a true sense of their color and I recommend it. I also recommend this lip liner.

And my last beauty favorite is the Flirtacious Looks Cosmetics The Perfect Duel: Foundation Travel Set and specifically the sponge, the Quick Beat. At first I thought this sponge was maybe a little firmer than what I usually like, but after I wet it it softened up and I do like it. It has a sharp tip and a flat edge for smooth application and you can tell when you’re applying that it is going on smooth and blending well. I don’t like this as much as the Real Techniques sponges, but it’s a good sponge.

Moving on I have a TV Show favorite and it’s Selling Sunset Season 5 on Netflix. I’ve been watching since season 1 so I have my favorite cast members, but the fashion and the real estate have really elevated over the five seasons and I can’t wait to see what they wear and what they sell next.

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the Heavy Load Blues (Deluxe Edition) album from Gov’t Mule. This is a band I’ve been listening to for years and I think this is one of the best albums to date. Not only is it one of their best, I really think that this is the blues album the world needs right now. Top to bottom it’s full of great songs and I definitely recommend giving it a listen if you haven’t.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your April favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great April :).

September Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to do my September Favorites. I was so busy this month and I feel like I didn’t try a whole lot of new things, but I still have a pretty good mix so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my September BoxyCharm box, and if you haven’t read that I’ll link it below. My first Boxy favorite is the Pinky Rose Cosmetics Multi Use Makeup Base Sticks. This is the Duo Hip Hop and Jazz set. I have yet to use the Jazz side, but I have used Hip Hop a couple of times and I’m really liking it. Hip Hop is a cream primer stick and I’ve been using it as an eyeshadow primer. I like it because it’s on the slightly thicker side and once you apply it you can really feel that it’s going to do it’s job. It’s definitely made it’s way into my eyeshadow primer collection and it’s the only one that I have in stick form, so I’ve been reaching for it more purely for the convenience.

IMG_9307

IMG_9308

My last Boxy favorite is the Half Caked 813 Duo Brush. This brush is 100% synthetic, has a light lavender handle and the brush itself is a a tan shade on the bottom with a brown line in the middle and white fibers on top. This brush is decently soft, and it did sort out it’s shape after being smashed in the box, so it’s fully functioning now. One of the selling features of this brush is it’s supposed to give you an airbrushed finish and it really does. I usually have one or two brushes I use for blush, but this one is quite good and I think it’s decently priced for brush like this.

IMG_9314

And my last favorite is the Tarte Fall Feels Palette. I did a separate post on this, which I’ll link below, so I’m not going to talk too much about it. But I will say that I’m in the middle of doing my Three Recent Looks post for it and I’m liking it a lot. These are fun shadows to play with and I definitely recommend giving this palette a try if you haven’t already.

IMG_9261

IMG_9263

Moving on I have a TV show favorite and it’s the new season of the Great British Bake Off. I love Bake Off, it’s always one of my favorite shows and for the longest time America had to wait to see the seasons but with the deal they have with Netflix we get the episodes a couple days after they air in the UK and I love that. If you’re not watching this season yet, you should be, it’s a good one.

And my last favorite, well favorites, are music favorites. The first is the most recent Little Mix song Love Sweet Love. It’s such a bop, they’re making top tier music like always, but it’s so good and the music video is dreamy. Their costuming and set design is just epic.

My second music favorite is the most recent Doobie Brothers song American Dream. I’ve had this one on repeat as of late and it has all the hallmarks of a song of summer but you just want to sing along, and I obviously already know all the words. Their new album Liberte is out tomorrow and I can’t wait to hear everything. I preordered it and I’m excited to get it. If the entire album is as good as what’s been released so far we are in for an epic album.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your September favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great September :).

August Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to do my August favorites. I have a pretty good mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my August BoxyCharm box, and if you haven’t read that post I’ll link it down below. My first Boxy favorite is the Vitamasques Glow Juicy Berries Face Mask. I love a good sheet mask and this is exactly that. It probiotic and adaptogenic with Vitamin C, Niacinamide and a Super Berry Complex that has blackberry and raspberry to brighten the skin and improve uneven skin tone. I did feel like this brightened my skin and I would repurchase. This came in a set with another mask, which after this I can’t wait to use. I definitely recommend Vitamasques if you’re in the market for good face masks.

IMG_9031

My next beauty favorite is the Voilition Beauty Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil. This is an oil that redeuces the appearance of dark spots and discoloration, soothes the appearance of stressed skin, hydrates and helps to improve moisture retention and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I have a couple little dark spots from acne scars so I started using this right after I got it and it does seem to be helping. One of them has completely gone away and I can definitely tell that the others are lightening. This comes with a little dropper applicator, so you don’t get too much coming out and you do get 35 ml/1.1 oz, so there’s a decent amount. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a face oil.

IMG_9033

And my last beauty favorite is the Dito Cosmetics Limited Edition Venus 12 Shade Eyeshadow Palette. I was really excited when I saw this palette because I’m a big space nerd and obviously I love makeup, so it’s the perfect combination. I’m currently working on a ‘3 Recent Looks’ with this palette, so I won’t say too much about it or give too many opinions, but I am liking it. It’s a really fun palette.

IMG_9035

IMG_9037

Moving on to a random favorite, I’m really loving the weather right now. We’re at the end of summer right now so it’s not as hot, but this week we’ve had some colder and definitely more fall-like days and I’m all for it. I also love that we’re seeing the seasonal foods, beauty/skincare, decor and clothes start to pop up.

And my last favorite is a music favorite, well actually, multiple music favorites. So many of my favorite bands/musicians have new music out right now and it’s a good time. The Doobie Brothers have four new songs out currently, and their newest album, which I have preordered and I preordered a physical copy, is coming out in October, so I’m very excited for that. I really like the four songs they have out now, so if the whole album is like that it’s going to be fantastic. Joe Bonamassa also has another new song out, the second single from his upcoming album, and I like it a lot. I like it more than the first single, and this one is more blues forward which, in my opinion, is what he does best even though he absolutely gets away with genre bending and blending. I absolutely recommend giving all these songs a listen if you haven’t.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your August favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great August :).

July Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought it would be the perfect time do my July Favorites. This month was so busy for me and I feel like it flew by, but I did manage to put together a pretty good mix of favorites.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my July BoxyCharm box, and I’ll link that post below if you haven’t read it. My first Boxy favorite is the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black. I’ve been using this quite a bit and I like it a lot. It has a tapered and flexible tip so you can easily do a really bold or a really thin line. It has great staying power, once it dries down it’s there all day and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a new liner.

IMG_8798

IMG_8799

My last Boxy favorite is the Mudmasky Vitamin-Infused Eye Serum. This is a Vitamin C serum for your under eye that nourishes, moisturizes, and firms the skin along with helping to reduce dark circles. I’ve been using this pretty much since I got it because I was intrigued by it and I’ve been seeing Mudmasky everywhere recently, and I can honestly say that I’m really liking it. I’m starting to be able to see a slight difference from before I started using it to now and that’s a very good thing. This is a product I would definitely recommend giving a try.

IMG_8803

And my last beauty favorite is the lip liner and lipstick combo I wore yesterday for National Lipstick Day. I looked back at some of my pictures from National Lipstick Day from the past couple years and found it funny that without realizing it, I’ve been doing very different colors every year. What I wanted to do yesterday, because I already had my eyeshadow look done when I realized and was going to do it anyway, it something in the nude/brown area. So what I went with is the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Nude Lip Liner and the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bombshell. It’s one of my favorite combos for a nude/brown lip and I love the Huda liquid lipsticks, the formula is really nice and you get incredible pigmentation and color payoff.

IMG_8944

IMG_8945

Moving on to a more random favorite, there is a squirrel that’s been hanging around my backyard for a while, getting more and more bold as he does, and recently he’s been coming up on my deck and chilling, so I’ve started feeding him and I think it’s adorable. He’s a cute little guy and to his credit has only tried to come in house once. And the funny thing is multiple of my neighbors have had similar instances with squirrels over the years, so I’m not surprised this happened.

IMG_8950

And my last favorite is a music favorite, actually it’s a couple of songs. This month a lot of good songs came out that I’m enjoying. Little Mix and Anne-Marie’s song is a bop. Bonamassa’s new song is great, I hope that the rest of the album, assuming there will be an album, will follow along the same vibe because that would be nice to hear. And Eric Clapton has released a couple of songs from his 50th anniversary album and I’m liking them a lot. There’s a lot of songs on there that I either don’t know if I’ve listened to, haven’t heard in ages, or just really like and am enjoying like always. If you haven’t given any of these a listen, I definitely recommend doing so.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not, I’d love to know what your July favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great July :).

December Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought it would be the perfect time to do my December favorites. This month as been really busy, but I still managed to find a good group of favorites.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of BoxyCharm favorites, I’ll link that post down below if you haven’t read it. My first Boxy favorite is the Tarte Maneater mascara. I was a little but unsure about this mascara when I opened it because it has a spiky plastic brush and those tend to not be my favorite, but I really like this one. It says that the wand is custom made and it has over 500 bristles to coat every lash, and I feel like it does. The formula is nice and buildable and I haven’t experienced any clumping or transferring. Definitely recommend giving this mascara a try if you want your lashes to stand out.

IMG_6809

IMG_6810

My next beauty favorite is the Ofra Cosmetics Pressed Banana Brightening Powder. This does have a light banana scent, reminds me of the banana flavored Laffy Taffy. I really like this powder, I use it to set my foundation/concealer and brighten the under eye area.

IMG_6811

IMG_6812

IMG_6813

And my last beauty favorite is the MAC Matte Lipstick in 612, Russian Red. This is a super pigmented lipstick and it’s a nice deeper red, but it’s not too deep.

IMG_6814

IMG_6815

IMG_6818

Moving on to more random things, I have a fashion favorite and it’s a pair of camo leggings. I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping online and I came across these leggings. I’m of the school of thought that you can never have too many pairs of leggings and I didn’t actually have any camo ones prior to this, so I had to pick these up. They’re super comfy and they fit great.

IMG_6899

And my last couple of favorites are music favorites. The first is my new Epiphone Les Paul Acoustic-Electric Concert Ukulele. Since I tuned this I’ve been playing around with it and I’m loving it. Not only is it beautiful, but it sounds incredible. I can’t wait to get an amp so I can see what it sounds like electrically.

IMG_6923

My second music favorite is my 2020 Spotify Wrapped playlist. This has some of my favorites on it and I’ve been playing it quite a bit over the past couple weeks, it’s a great mix of music.

That about wraps it up for this post, I want to thank everyone for reading, following, commenting and everything else. It means a lot and I always appreciate it.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great December :).

May Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month I thought it would be a good time to do my May favorites. I tried quite a few new things this month, so I have a good mix. That being said, let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I started BoxyCharm and because I subscribed at the very end of April I got my April box in May along with my May box, meaning I have favorites from both. I will of course link both of those posts down below if you haven’t read them. The first is the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. My go to eyeshadow primer is the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but this one is now up there as a go to. It’s on the thicker side and has a fade proof and crease proof translucent finish that really does make my shadow last all day and brings out the vibrance.

IMG_5551

My second beauty favorite is the Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for eyes. This has hyaluronic acid and algae extract for smoothness, to seal in moisture and help in reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This has quickly become a favorite of mine. I’ve been using this since I got it and I do feel like I can see a difference. I’ve used a few different Murad products and they’re honestly all great. I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a new eye cream.

IMG_5511

My second to last BoxyCharm favorite is the Alamar Cosmetics Colorete Blush Trio in Medium-Tan. In this palette you get three blushes, hence blush trio, but you have Seclusion which is an orangey/peach shade, Isla which is a coral and Toasted, a rosey pink. These blushes are all very pretty. They’re buildable, blend out nicely and are quite  pigmented without being too much.

IMG_5515

IMG_5516

IMG_5517

My last BoxyCharm favorite is the Vintage By Jessica Liebeskind Cashmere Lip Pencil in Mocha. This is honestly a great lip pencil. It’s in a really nice medium brown that goes super well with most of my current nudey/brown lipsticks. I’ve also worn this on it’s own all over my lips, it goes on really smooth and has great staying power.

IMG_5518

IMG_5519

IMG_5520

And my last, non Boxy favorite is the e.l.f. Bite Size eyeshadow palette in Truffles. This palette is a mix of darker neutrals, browns and blacks. There is a lot of versatility in this palette and I’ve worn it a few times since talking about it. I also ordered the rest of the Bite Size palettes I was missing and got them yesterday, so look for part four of the Bite Size series soon.

IMG_5476

IMG_5477

IMG_5478

Moving on, I have a food favorite and it’s the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Popcorn. Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are one of my favorite snacks and I love popcorn, so when I saw these I was intrigued. These don’t have as much of that vinegar pop that you get with the Cheetos, but they have a good heat and will leave your fingers that bright red-orange.

IMG_5561

IMG_5573

And my last favorite, a music favorite, is the 20th Anniversary Edition of B.B. King and Eric Clapton’s Riding With The King album. This comes out on June 26th, but it’s available for pre-order now on CD, 2 LP and Digital. Along with being remastered, this album has also been expanded. So you get two unreleased tracks, Rollin’ and Tumblin’ and Let Me Love You Baby. I have the original CD, but I’ve pre-ordered this. Rollin’ and Tumblin’ has been released on Spotify and I think it’s great. Eric has done a few versions of this song over the years and this one fits in perfectly with the rest of the album and I’m glad they decided to add it in now.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your May favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great May :).

April Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of month, I thought it would be the perfect time to do my April favorites. I have a fun mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my April Sephora Play Box, which I will link below if you haven’t read. My first Play favorite is the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb. This is a holy grail product for me, I’ve been using it for a while and I always recommend it. It detoxifies, soothes the skin and helps with skins elasticity.

IMG_5434

My next favorite is the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara in Black. I’ve worn this a few times since I got it and I really like it. There’s no clumping or transferring and it makes my lashes look full and long. Basically it does what it says on the tin and if you’re looking for a new mascara or just want to change it up then I definitely recommend giving this a try.

IMG_5431

IMG_5432

My last Play favorite is the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dance Fever. I have a few of these Nars lip pencils and they’re some of my favorites. This one in particular is a really nice medium brown. These go on so smooth and have great staying power.

IMG_5438

IMG_5439

IMG_5440

I wanted to say quickly that as Sephora Play has ended I have subscribed to BoxyCharm and starting next month I will be unboxing those. I’m super excited about it and I hope you guys enjoy reading it.

And my last beauty favorite is the Sinful Colors Quick Bliss Nail Polish in 2674, Flushed. I’m always buying nail polish and when I saw the Quick Bliss line online, I was interested. The Quick Bliss line is quick dry, says it dries in 1 minute and I can attest to the fact that it dried down super quickly. They also have cherry oil which helps to protect from breakage. Flushed is a really pretty and sparkly pinky purple that goes a little bit gold when it hits the light.

IMG_5363

IMG_5362

Moving on I have a book favorite and it’s Tom Clancy’s Enemy Contact, A Jack Ryan Jr. Novel by Mike Maden. I’ve always really liked the Jack Ryan series, including the Amazon show. I haven’t read all of the books but after reading this one I picked up a few more. I really like that the series was expanded to Jack Ryan Jr and I think the writing is fantastic. This is definitely a series of books I recommend.

And my last favorite is a music favorite, and it’s the song A Conversation With Alice by Joe Bonamassa. This is a new song from Joe and I’ve been really liking it. I think the story behind it is great and I love the fact that he took his experience and turned it into a song. This song has a lot of elements that I like in a blues song and Joe plays slide, which I always really like. I first heard this on Spotify, but I’ll link the YouTube video below. It’s definitely worth a listen.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your April favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you all had a good April :).

September Favorites

Hi everyone,

Happy October and Happy Spooky Season. I’m a couple days late, but today I’m going to be doing my September favorites. I feel like the first half of September flew by and the second half moved at a snail’s pace, but in that time there were a few things that became favorites. And with that being said, let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty I have a couple of favorites from my September Sephora Play Box, which I’ll link below. My first being the First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Pores Be Gone Matte Primer. This primer is oil free, has a matte finish, does a great job of blurring pores and is safe for sensitive skin. I don’t use matte primer a lot but this one I’ve really been liking. It does have a scent, which isn’t something I typically like, but this is a fruity/fresh smell so it’s not bad at all. First Aid Beauty makes some of my favorite skincare products and this is now one of them.

SPSP3

My other Play favorite is the Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara in Classic Black. I honestly can’t even tell you how much I love this mascara. From the minute I put it on I was so impressed. It makes my lashes really full and voluminous and super long. Lashes for days. The formula is great because it’s really smooth, I haven’t experienced any flaking or transfer and because it’s so smooth it’s really buildable so no lashes sticking together and looking clumpy. I also really like the brush. Its nice and big and it gets all of my lashes. I highly recommend.

SPSP5

SPSP6

My second to last beauty favorite is a nail polish. It’s Sinful Colors 2621, Nakey Nay from the Naughty Nudes Collection. This polish is so pretty. It’s a bronzey almost caramel color and when the light hits it you can really see the depth and the sparkle. I’ve looked into the rest of the Naughty Nudes Collection and it all looks so nice and like I’m going to be buying more nail polish soon.

SEPT2

SEPT3

SEPT1

And my last beauty favorite is my new hair. I had been growing my hair for so long and I decided it was time to change it up. I knew that I wanted to cut a lot of it off, it ended up being somewhere between 12-15 inches, and I knew that I wanted to be more blonde again. So I told my hairdresser and she went from there. I didn’t ever think that I would do anything in the red family but I really like the shade she chose and overall I’m so happy with it and I feel like it brightens me up, which I’m happy about.

SEPT4

Moving on I have a TV show favorite and it’s Downton Abbey. I was scrolling through Amazon looking for something to watch after finishing a show and I came across Downton. I didn’t watch it when it was on originally but I know what a huge success it was and continues to be. I’m currently on season 3, I think I have one or two episodes left but I’m absolutely loving it. I’m excited to see the movie as well. If you’ve seen the movie, no spoilers, but I’d love to know what you thought.

And my last favorite is a music favorite, and it’s This Train from Joe Bonamassa’s Live At The Sydney Opera House album, which is available on October 25th. This is one of those really fun songs that’s like the perfect balance of bluesy and bouncy. And I’m excited to hear the rest of the album and I definitely recommend giving it a listen if you haven’t.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great September :).

July Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought today would be the perfect day to talk about my July favorites. I have an interesting mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my July Sephora Play Box, I’ll of course link that post below if you haven’t read it. And my Play favorite is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. You guys know how much I love this. I’ve been using it for ages and it not only takes off every stay proof, waterproof, long lasting bit of makeup, but it does so with a gentle formula so there’s no scrubbing or irritation.

JLSP2

Next up we have the Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Glace. Again, this is something I’ve been using for a little while and it’s just so good. This particular shade is like a dusty mauve and it’s so pretty. These lip crayons are super pigmented and really long wearing. I have quite a few Bite Beauty products and honestly they’re all great. If you’ve never checked them out then I highly recommend doing so.

JLSP7

JLSP8

My last Play favorite is the Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Love Eau So Sweet. This is a scent that I would describe as very summery. It’s floral, fruity and just a little bit sugary, which is perfect. This isn’t one of those perfumes that you have to worry about being completely faded by the end of the day, it wears well and lasts a long time. I definitely recommend smelling this if you haven’t and you get the chance.

My second to last beauty favorite is the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots. I received this first in my Walmart Beauty Box, link below, and in my Target Beauty Box later, link below. So I figured I would give it a try. I take pretty good care of my hair so I didn’t know if it would really do a lot, but I have to say that I’m impressed. You use this after you’ve shampooed and conditioned and you apply it from the middle of your hair to the ends. It’s purpose is to target any damage you may have and to help prevent split ends, what I’ve noticed is that the portion of my hair I applied it has been softer than normal and I quite like that.

And my last beauty favorite is Aloe Vera. Earlier this month I was doing something I’m going to talk about later in this post, outside in the heat of the day, for a long period of time, and I got the worst sunburn I’ve had in a really long time. It was so red and so painful and using aloe absolutely saved me. It ended up not peeling and actually turned into a nice little tan.

My next favorite is a book and it’s Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I talked about the show adaptation in my favorites last month and after watching and loving that I decided that I had to read the book. I absolutely loved it, it was so funny and now I fully understand why so many people have loved this book for so long. It’s just fantastic. I 1000% recommend reading it if you haven’t and watching the show because David Tennant and Michael Sheen are incredible and do an outstanding job of bringing the characters to life.

Moving on, my next favorite is my sunflowers and the planter box I built for them, aka the thing that caused my sunburn. Back in June a neighbor of mine told me she had some extra sunflower starts that she didn’t have a use for and I very happily took them off her hands. I knew that sunflowers like to root pretty deep and have space to grow so I decided to build my own planter box. It came out so good, I’m super happy with it and the sunflowers have been thriving since I put them in there. I have to give a shout out to my dad for helping me with this because my woodworking experience is limited.

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the song Superstitious by Europe. I feel like Europe is a band that gets forgotten about/people don’t know has more songs than Final Countdown. But my discovering this song was totally random, it popped up in my recommended on YouTube and I’m glad I clicked because I really like it. I listen to a lot of music and this song has one of, in my opinion, the best guitar solos. It’s just so good. And I would definitely say to give this song a listen if you haven’t, it’s pretty great.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your July favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great July :).

December Favorites and 2018 Wrap Up

Hi everyone,

Today, as there’s only a couple of days left in the month, I’m going to be doing my December favorites and kind of wrapping up 2018. I have quite a few things to talk about, so let’s get into it.

Starting off with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my December Sephora Play Box. The first is the Too Faced Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer- Peaches and Cream Collection. I used this on Christmas Day and I really like it. It blurs any imperfections you have and it helps to brighten your skin. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a primer. And it smells like peaches and cream which is nice bonus. The Peaches and Cream collection is really great.

My second favorite is the Trestique Lip Glaze in Paris Pink. I’ve worn this a couple times since getting it and I like it a lot. I would say it’s in between a lipstick and a lip balm. The color is really nice, it’s really long lasting and it’s very hydrating. I’m definitely going to be checking out Trestique to see their other products.

And my last Sephora Play favorite is the Sephora Collection Rouge Gel Lip Liner in 02 Nothin’ But Nude. This is a really pretty nudey brown and it goes with so many different lipsticks. I like that it’s really soft on the lips and basically glides on. And it has a matte finish. It’s got everything going for it. You can get this in something like 40 shades and I have a couple sitting in my cart right now that I’ll go and purchase after this.

Moving on, my next favorite is Christmas and within that what I got for Christmas. Starting with my stocking, my parents are pretty good at nailing stocking stuffers. Besides some of my favorite candy, there was a bottle of  Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Spray, which is one of my favorite Bath & Body Works scents. A pack of hair ties, which is always needed, and a little loofa. There was also three mini products. I keep a little kit in my handbag that’s full of minis for all situations, so any additions to it I like. So there’s a Crest 3D White toothpaste, a Softsoap Juicy Pomegranate and Mango Infusions Moisturizing Body Wash and a Gold Bond Ultimate Skin Therapy Cream with Aloe.

Moving on to my actual presents, there were a few things I didn’t take pictures of and those were socks and some black tank tops, the basics. I did get one other clothing item and it’s a Mariners sweatshirt. I have some Mariners gear but I didn’t have any sweatshirts and I didn’t have any gear in the Sunday colors which are navy blue and gold. I wore this yesterday, it’s super comfortable and cozy and I like the way it fits.

CP10

Next I have a couple of beauty presents and each of these are going to get their own posts, so I’m not going to get too in depth about them. The first is the Sephora Collection The New Neutrals. This is a little box that has five different nude/neutral lipsticks and they’re all really pretty. I’ve worn two of them so far and I’m really happy with them. I’m excited to get into the details of this box.

CP2

The second beauty item is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette. I’ve been drooling over this palette since I opened it and honestly I still kind of am. I’ve worn three of the colors so far, not at the same time, but I’m so happy with it. It’s a gorgeous palette.

CP3

CP4

I have one music item and it’s Jeff Lynne’s ELO Wembley Or Bust concert. I bought this on iTunes and have been listening to it but I have yet to watch it and this comes with two CDs and one Blu Ray. I’m definitely excited to watch this.

CP6

CP7

CP8

My last two items are lifestyle related. The first is new headphones. Mine were just old and I had gotten a lot of use out of them. And it’s always funny to me when you get new ones to remember what they’re supposed to sound like.

CP5

The second is also getting it’s own post and it’s an Erin Condren Life Planner. The one I got is the teal and platinum, has my name on it and is the vertical layout. I’m so happy with this, I’ve already started writing in things and I can’t wait to use it throughout 2019.

CP9

That about wraps it up for this post, I want to thank each and everyone of you for reading, following, liking, commenting and everything else. It means a lot. I hope you guys had a good year and here’s to an even better 2019.

Until next time, I hope you all had a great December and I appreciate you all :).
