December favorites/2017 wrap up

Hi everyone,

Today, as we are in the last couple days of December and of 2017, I thought it would be the perfect day to do my December favorites and wrap up this year. So, starting with beauty and I have a couple of favorites from my December Glam Bag, if you haven’t read that post I’ll link it below, and the first is the bag itself. It’s silver with a band of silver sparkles around the top and the inside as well as the zipper is aqua and I love it. Not only is it wintery, but it’s so my colors.

My next Glam Bag favorite is the Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume Mascara in Deep Black. I’ve worn this a couple of times and I really like it. It does give my lashes volume and thickness.

And my last Glam Bag favorite is the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Legendary. I’ve always liked the Smashbox lipsticks and this one is no different. It’s a gorgeous red, it’s long lasting and it doesn’t dry out your lips like some red lipsticks can do. I definitely recommend it.

I want to make a note quickly and say that I haven’t yet had a chance to try out the Purlisse sheet masks, but I will let you know what I think once I have.

Next up I’m going to talk about a few of the things that I got for Christmas and for that I’ll start with my stocking. The first thing I pulled out of my stocking was a set of four gold rings from H&M. I love rings and these are the perfect simple accessory.

The next thing was a full sized Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar 24 hour moisture Ultra Shea body cream. This is one of my favorite scents from Bath and Body Works and probably my favorite lotion.

The rest of my stocking was full of a loofa, some toiletries (toothpaste, makeup wipes, etc) and candy.

Moving on to some of my presents, there are a few that I wanted to mention and the first is a curling iron. I was in desperate need of a medium sized curling iron, I have one with a small barrel and one with a really big barrel, but I was lacking some middle ground so this is perfect. It’s a Conair Instant Heat curling iron with a 1 1/4 barrel. I’ve always liked  Conair because I have a lot of hair and it’s thick and these get really hot and create nice curls.

Next up is one of my favorite gifts I received and it’s the Too Faced Best Year Ever collection. You guys know how much I love Too Faced and I’m so in love with this. It comes in a little zip up case that is gold with pink stripes on the outside and it says “I have way more makeup at home” on the front.

When you open it you see black and white stripes and the three palettes are stacked on one another and there is a mini Better Than Sex mascara on the top. It also comes with a little booklet that has four different looks and how to create them.

Like I said, there’s three palettes and they are I Believe in Pink, Natural Beauty and Super Fun Night.

I Believe in Pink has six eyeshadows ranging from super light pink to purple with a blush in the shade Pink Poinsettia. I have over the last three days worn at least one color from each palette and these shadows are very pigmented and look fantastic on.

Natural Beauty has six eyeshadows in the gold and brown shades and a bronzer in Warm My Heart.

And Super Fun Night has six eyeshadows in a mix of different colors and a highlighter in Dashing Through The Glow.

I will be doing a more in depth post on the Best Year Ever in the new year, so look out for that.

And the last beauty related thing is actually a sample that I got with the Too Faced collection. It was a small bottle of the Atelier Mandarine Glaciale perfume. I’m going to be honest with you guys, the second I smelled it I was in love. It has mandarin, ginger and vetiver and is a really fresh and warming scent. It also reminds me of something from when I younger, but I can’t remember what it is. I did order a full size bottle of this and it is on the pricier side but Sephora offers it in at least two sets that I’ve seen that have other Atelier scents.

I have a couple of clothing favorites, this Christmas was very sports heavy for my family and none of us were mad about it. When it comes to college football USC is my team and I was lacking in things to wear on game day but now that’s not the case. First up is a racerback ombre tank top. Ignore the wrinkles, I had it folded. But I love a tank top and can’t wait to wear this.

Next we have a white V-neck t-shirt that says Fight On! which is the name of the USC fight song. What I like about this shirt is it’s incredibly soft and it’s slightly on the baggy side, not overly but I tried it on and it looks great tucked into jeans.

And finally we have a black and gray hoodie. I don’t think I’ve taken this off since I got it, it’s fleece lined on the inside and it does a great job keeping me warm.

USC plays Ohio State tomorrow in the Cotton Bowl and I think it’s going to be a great game. Go Trojans!

And my last couple of favorites are music favorites. The first is the Ed Sheeran song Perfect. Everyone has been talking about this song recently and with good reason, it’s fantastic. If you somehow haven’t heard it yet, go and listen to it.

The last two are from Robbie Williams Under The Radar Vol. 2 album, which came out recently and my two favorites from this album are Bambi and 9 To 5. Bambi is one of my favorite songs of 2017, it’s a fun and very Robbie Williams. And I love the fact that he covered 9 to 5, if you like the original version of the song then you’ll like this one.

That about wraps it up for this post and I want to take a minute and thank you guys for reading, liking and commenting this year. 2017 was a crazy year and I can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring.

Until next time, I hope you all had a great December and 2017 and I appreciate every one of you :).

Blogmas Day 20: A year of Glam Bags

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day 20! I can’t believe it’s already the 20th and we’re near the end of Blogmas, it’s gone by so quickly. Today I’m going to be talking about the Glam Bags I received this year from Ipsy. I got a lot of great products this year and a lot of cool bags, so let’s get into it.

I think as the months went on the bag designs got more fun and I found myself liking more and more of the products.

From the January Glam Bag, my favorites were the blush, the nail polish and Manna Kadar 3 in 1 bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow.

In the February Glam Bag, I really liked the design of the bag with the denim and the orange zipper that was in the shape of lips. When it came to what was in the bag, I liked everything but my favorites were the face masks, nail polish, lipstick and eyeshadow.

I loved the March bag. The design was great, I loved the colors and I loved that it gave you more space. Product wise, I loved everything and with the exception of the brush and the blush I have repurchased and been happily using those products.

The April bag had a really fun design, the fair ticket was a great idea. The EM Cosmetics eyeliner was one of my favorite things from any bag that I got and I use it all the time. I love the nail polish, two colors I didn’t have and I’m glad I do now. And the same with the eyeshadow, I didn’t really wear a lot of pink shadows before, but this has a good amount of sparkle to it and I’ve figured out a couple of fun looks with it. And I couldn’t not mention the Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank brush, it’s adorable.

The May bag was a great way to get people in the summery mood, the different ice creams and the fact that to me at least, it smelled like pool floaties. Again, this was a bag where I loved everything but my favorites were the liquid lipstick, which smells like cake batter, the eyeshadow duo, the eyeliner pencil, and the highlighter.

I thought the June bag with the kind of pop art lips was a great choice design wise. I really loved the face masks, the nail polish and the blush from this bag.

The July bag had the cutest design of all with Gudetama gracing the front and back. From this bag my favorites were the cleanser, the moisturizer and the eyeliner. I have repurchased all of them.

On to August, I loved the color of this bag, I know there were a couple of different ones you could get but I liked this one the best and it says Peace, Love and Lipstick on it which is a great motto. I genuinely loved and use everything in this bag.

The theme for September was one of my favorites, it was Ipsy Boss. Which was all about channeling your inner boss and owning it. I loved the design of the bag with the black,  the gold zip, the purple/midnight blue fabric on the inside and the little spikes on the outside. I have this in my handbag now as my makeup bag. This was another month where I loved everything and use them all.

The October bag had a Halloween flair. It was crimson with a lace overlay and a little bat on the zipper. My favorites from that bag were the nail polish, eyeliner, the liquid lipstick and the hand cream.

The second to last bag, from November was very autumnal. And I absolutely loved everything in it.

And finally we have the December bag. I won’t say too much about it because I haven’t done my monthly favorites yet. But I will say that I’m a big fan of this bag.

That about wraps it up for this post, Ipsy has sent me a lot of great products this year. What has been the favorite or favorites that you guys have received from Ipsy this year?

Until next time, I hope you guys have had a great year of Glam Bags and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

Blogmas Day 15: Christmas tree and favorite ornaments

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day 15! Today I’m going to be showing you guys my 2017 Christmas tree and some of my favorite ornaments. I don’t have a theme to my tree, then again I never do, it’s just ornaments that I’ve bought/ be given over the years that I really like.

So this year my tree is a spruce and it actually took me forever to find it, I went to a couple different places before I found one that I liked. And if I can remember where some of the ornaments came from I’ll mention it.

So, on to my favorite ornaments, the first was a gift from my brother and it’s from Bronner’s, the best Christmas store ever. I have always believed in Bigfoot, I know there are a ton of people that don’t but personally I’ve seen enough evidence and had enough of my own experiences to make me a believer. And my brother, knowing that bought me this and it proudly sits near the top of my tree.

This next ornament I’ve had since I was a small child. It came from my aunt who was one of my absolute favorite people and she’s not around anymore so when I see this it reminds me of her, all the good times we had and it makes me smile.

These next two were made for me by a close family friend, each of my siblings and my parents have these with their names and we all put them on our trees each year.

The next couple I have no idea where they came from because they’re kind of old but I love them. Racing and airplanes are two of my favorite things in the world so it’s only fitting that I have Open Wheel Racing Santa and Pilot Santa.

The next four came from Hallmark and are movie/ TV related. The first is the USS Enterprise. I love Star Trek. It was a huge part of my childhood, I would watch it all the time with my dad. It was one of those things we did together and I’ve watched every series and all of the movies. I have one and my dad has one and it does light up but the batteries need to be replaced.

The next three are from A Christmas Story, one of the best Christmas movies. And it’s Ralphie in various situations from the movie. If there is one thing I would change about them, it would be with the two that talk. It’s not the original audio from the movie, and I understand why, but it’s just not the same when you hear it.

This one is when he’s imagining that he has his gun and is protecting his family from Black Bart.

This is the iconic “Oh Fudge” moment, this is one that talks and makes noise.

And this last one is the pink nightmare/bunny suit moment. And this one also talks and makes noise.

If you read my Indoor Decorations post, then you would have seen the Coca Cola Santa plaque, there’s actually four throughout the house, and this next ornament won’t surprise you. I have a couple of these, with different scenes on my tree and I love them.

The last couple are what I would call classic Christmas ornaments.

These three, along with others not pictured, came from a big box of ornaments that I bought at Costco.

These two came in their own sets, but I bought them at the same time and I think it was Fred Meyer but I might be wrong. I’ve had them for a while.

And finally I do have some classic colored ornaments.

That about wraps it up for this post, I have a lot more ornaments on my tree but if I showed every single one we would be here for absolute ages.

Until next time, enjoy your trees and do you guys have white or multicolored lights on your tree?  🙂

Blogmas Day 2: Christmas favorites, YouTube edition

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day 2! Today I wanted to talk about a favorite of mine and that’s Vlogmas, if I ever start a YouTube channel it’s definitely something that I would do, but until then there a few peoples that I really enjoy watching.  I will leave the links to all the channels I mention below.

So the first is Zoe Sugg, she does Vlogmas on her second channel MoreZoella. Zoe is one of the first people I subscribed to when I started watching YouTube and she is basically the queen of Christmas so I always look forward to seeing the content on her channel during December.

Next up is Joe Sugg, Zoe’s brother. Every year Joe does an attempt to do Vlogmas, but I think this year he might actually do it. In my opinion Joe is one of the funniest people on YouTube. The content on each of his channels and ideas he has are incredible and he never fails to make me laugh. The way he is with his friends reminds me of how some of my friend groups are and that makes me laugh even more. The Suggs are very relatable and down to earth and I think that’s why they have so much success and so many subscribers. They do it right.

Second to last we have Dan and Phil Games. They don’t do the traditional Vlogmas, they do Gamingmas on their gaming channel and it’s up there with one of the funniest things on the Internet. These days it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t watch or at least know who Dan and Phil are and it’s so easy to see why.

And lastly we have the SacconeJolys. They don’t do traditional Vlogmas either because they are daily volggers, but they are my favorite family to watch on YouTube. This year they are doing #SJXMAS which is a really cool idea. Basically you have the opportunity each day to win a prize by using the hashtag and tweeting the company or brand involved with that day.

That about wraps it up for this post, I watch these channels all year, along with many others, and besides the fact that I think they all do Christmas time really well they all make me laugh a lot and I think that’s so important. If you guys like watching any of these YouTubers during December let me know and if not let me know who you do like to watch.

Until next time, have fun watching YouTube and I hope you’re enjoying Blogmas :).

November favorites

Hi everyone,

Today, as November is nearly over, I thought that I would do my November favorites. But before I get into that I want to mention something exciting, this year I’m doing Blogmas. So every day up until Christmas, starting December 1st, there will be a new Christmassy blog post, this is something I’ve wanted to do since I started blogging and I’m excited about it. But back to this month, starting with beauty I have a couple of favorites from my November Glam Bag from Ipsy and as always I’ll link that post down below if you haven’t read it. First we have the ColourPop Pressed Shadow in Come And Get It. I’ve worn this a couple of times since talking about it and I bloody love it. It’s a gorgeous shade, very versatile and the color payoff is fantastic. ColourPop eyeshadows are where it’s at.

Next up we have the Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush is Feisty. There are a couple of things I love about this blush, first being the color. It’s a dusty rose and that’s a shade that I think is great all year round. The formulation is really nice and it’s very blendable/buildable. All good things if you ask me.

Continuing with the beauty favorites we have the EM Cosmetics Infinite Lip Cloud in Rose Nude. I highly recommend EM Cosmetics lipsticks. The formulation is really nice, they’re long lasting, feel great and light on the lips, and it smells really good.

My last Glam Bag favorite is the SKYN ICELAND Berry Lip Fix with Wintered Red Algae. I put this in my skincare routine after I got it just to see and I can honestly tell you that I love it. It’s always been part of my routine to put something on my lips right before I go to bed, I wear a lot of lipsticks and different products and want to keep my lips healthy and soft. I normally use the Vanilla Softlips, and I love it, but I started alternating between that and this and my lips have never been softer. And if that wasn’t enough for you, it smells incredible. I will definitely be delving more into SKYN ICELAND.

Moving right along, I have a couple of app favorites. The first is Poshmark. I was going through my closet recently and found some pieces that I either hadn’t worn, don’t know why I bought them to begin with, or had worn once or twice but didn’t have a real place in my wardrobe anymore and I wanted to do something with them and found that Poshmark was the best app for the job. I made my first sale a couple of weeks ago and it was a really easy process. I highly recommend it and I have a couple of really cute shirts in my Posh closet right now, @kyrasage18 if you guys are interested. Let’s do some business :).

My second app favorite is the Design Home app. I’m one of those people that quite likes interior design and I have a couple of house flipping shows that I absolutely love. I will admit that when I first saw the ad for this app I was skeptical, but I downloaded it and I love it, it’s a lot of fun.

Next up I have a website favorite and that’s Etsy. I recently started my Christmas shopping and was looking for something specific for a friend of mine, I won’t say what on the off chance she reads this, but I found it, beautifully made and reasonably priced and I’m really happy with it.

My next favorite is something I discovered randomly, the other week I was scrolling through YouTube late at night looking for something to watch and I came across this segment from Michael McIntyre’s Big Show called Send To All. Basically what he does is takes the phone of a celebrity guest on the show, sends out a crazy text to all the contacts in that persons phone and reads out the replies. It is one of the funniest things and I think that Michael McIntyre is one of the funniest people, really makes me laugh.

My second to last favorite is Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving, the food, the fun and the ridiculous amount of laughter that comes with my family getting together. I made apple pie like always do and I was really pleased with the way it turned out, it was delicious. I really should make this pie more throughout the year.

And my last favorite is a song and it’s Hard To Say Sorry by Chicago. I listened to Chicago growing up, thanks Dad, and they have a ton of great songs, but this is probably my favorite song of theirs. It’s just one of those songs that I will belt out and I have no shame. If you haven’t heard it definitely  give it a listen.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what you loved during November.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great November :).

October favorites

Hi everyone,

First off I want to say happy November. I can’t believe this year has gone by so fast, but as it is the first of the month I thought it would be a good time to do my October favorites. Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my October Glam Bag. If you haven’t yet read that post I will link it down below. The first is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I’ve been using this everyday since I got it and I absolutely love it. I don’t have particularly dry skin, but it is getting colder and the cold can be harsh on your skin and this is the perfect thing to combat that. I definitely recommend it.

My next favorite is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. This is one of my favorite pencil liners that I’ve used. It glides on smooth and once it’s on it doesn’t smudge. However, I am the type that if I’m going to mess up my liner it’s going to be with a pencil opposed to a liquid, so if you do happen to mess this up or smudge while applying it can get a little messy. And definitely don’t be like me and try to do eyeliner in the car. But besides that, I love it.

Next up we have the MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro. I can’t express how much I love this lipstick. I absolutely love the color and the formulation and staying power are amazing. It’s a very well made product and I want to wear all of the MDMflow lipsticks. Definitely check them out.

And here’s a picture of me wearing the Urban Decay liner and this MDMflow lipstick.

And my last favorite is a Pretty Woman NYC nail polish in the shade Wine With Ice, Garçon. I’ve mentioned how much I love the Pretty Woman NYC nail polishes, they last and the formulation is really nice. And this one in particular, it being a deep wine color, is the perfect shade for fall.

Moving on, I have a food favorite. And it’s the Yoplait French style Oui yogurt. These yogurts are thick, creamy and only made with a few ingredients and I really like them. They come in these little glass pots and I think they’re the perfect size. There are a couple of different flavors, but my favorites are the Vanilla, Black Cherry and Lemon.

My second to last favorite is Halloween. Halloween kicks off the holiday season and it’s always been one of my favorites. I love to dress up and be festive. I went to a Halloween party like I do every year and I honestly changed my mind on my costume like four times, but I ended up going as a cowgirl and I had a lot of fun.

It is worth noting that my lipstick is the Too Faced Melted Matte lipstick in Lady Balls, it’s one of my favorite red lipsticks, and my boots are from Just Fab.

I also carved a pumpkin because you can’t have Halloween without pumpkins and I went with a bat design this year.

And my last favorite is a music favorite. And it’s two songs from Eric Clapton’s Behind The Sun album. Behind The Sun has always been an album that I liked and it has some fantastic songs on it. The first is It All Depends and the second is Something’s Happening. These two songs are so different but they’re both amazing and if you haven’t heard them or any other songs from the album definitely give them a listen. It’s so worth it.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites in October let me know and if not I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope everyone had a great October :).

September favorites

Hi everyone,

I’m a little bit late with this, but today I wanted to talk about my September favorites. September honestly flew by and I can’t believe we’re into the first week of October and I’m already planning my Halloween costume. So the first thing I want to talk about is beauty. I have a few favorites from my September Glam Bag, if you haven’t read that post I will link it down below. My first Glam Bag favorite is the bag itself, it fit the Ipsy Boss theme perfectly. I love the black and gold with the spikes and I’ve been carrying this in my handbag since I got it and I love it.

My next favorite is the Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey. This has a great shimmer, it’s nicely pigmented and the lighter shade is great on it’s own as a highlighter.

My third Glam Bag favorite is the ColourPop Lippie Stix in the shade Glam Bag. I really liked this shade when I swatched it and even more when I put it on. It’s matte, which I love and it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. If you haven’t checked out ColourPop already, definitely do. Their lipsticks are fantastic.

My last Glam Bag favorite is the Adesse New York Organic Infused Gel Effect nail lacquer in Deception. I really liked the color of this nail polish when I saw it. I love grey nails, especially this time of year and this didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend Adesse New York if you’re looking for a good nail polish.

Moving on I have a couple of food favorites, the first is the Vanilla Blueberry Kind bars. I always keep bars like these in my handbag, they’re a great on the go snack and lately Kind bars have been my favorite brand. These ones specifically have blueberries, vanilla, and 5 super grains, oats, millet, amaranth, buckwheat and quinoa. They really are so good.

And my last food favorite is on the other side of the healthy spectrum and they are the Strawberry Peanut M&M’s. I don’t always eat M&M’s, but I saw these in the grocery store and I couldn’t help but pick them up and they were delicious.

And lastly, I have a music favorite and it’s Ringo Starr’s new album Give More Love. Top to bottom this is truly fantastic. Some of my favorite songs from this album are Give More Love and Standing Still. If you haven’t heard any of this album yet definitely check it out on iTunes or YouTube, it’s worth a listen.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what you loved during September.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope everyone had a great September :).
