Blogmas Day Three: Winter Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Three! Today I thought it would be fun to share my winter skincare routine with you guys. I used to do a skincare routine post every season because I was changing and trying new products all the time, but my skin got very mad at me for doing that. I had to strip it back to very few things and once that started working I added a few things here and there and that’s where I’m at with it right now.

So the first thing I do is take off my eye makeup and lipstick and to do that I used the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. This is a product I’ve been using for ages and I really like it. It has a gentle formula but it’s super effective so you’re not scrubbing and accidently ripping out your lashes.

CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips 4.2 oz/ 125 mL

The next thing I do is take off the rest of my makeup with the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. I’ve also been using this for a really long time and I still like it a lot. It takes off all of the long wearing makeup and doesn’t leave anything behind.

tarte - SEA Deep Dive Cleansing Gel 5 oz/ 150 mL Clean at Sephora

From there I move to the Volition Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil. This is to help reduce the appearance of dark spots and discoloration along with hydrating and helping with moisture retention. I have a couple of dark spots and I can honestly say that this has helped tremendously with getting them to go away. I’m a little weary sometimes of correcting oils and such because I have used some that have done nothing, but this is not one of those. This is one I highly recommend.

Volition Beauty - Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil 1.1 oz/ 35 mL Clean at Sephora

The next step in my routine is serum and for that I use the Mine Tan. Body. Skin. Hydra Glow Sleep Serum with Triple Action Hyaluronic Acid. This serum is so good! It’s fast absorbing, it’s incredibly lightweight and says it’s anti-inflammatory. Because it’s a triple action Hyaluronic Acid you get the instant hydration but it’s also time release so you get that as you sleep giving you hydrated and glowy skin in the morning.

MineTan Body Skin Hydra Glow Sleep Serum Mine Skincare

After serum comes moisturizer and for that I use the Murad City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturizer. This is more than just your standard moisturizer. It does have nourishing botanicals to moisturize and plump while helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, but it also detoxifies the skin by neutralizing daily damage caused by pollutants and blue light. Which I really like because I spend a lot of time on my computer. This is also a slightly thicker consistency, which I like for winter and the colder months.

Murad - City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturizer 1.7 oz

The second to last thing I do is eye cream. I’ve been using two as of late. The first is one that I’ve been using for a while and really like, the Murad Hyrdo-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes. This deeply quenches and nourishes the under eye area, seals in moisture to restore smoothness and helps to reduce fine line and wrinkles along with dull and dry skin. The second is the Mudmasky Vitamin Infused Eye Serum. This has Vitamin C which is very refreshing and has an antioxidant effect. This also feeds, nourishes and firms the skin under the eye along with giving a vitamin boost and moisture boost. I like it a lot.

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture 1.7 oz/ 50 mL

Vitamin-infused Eye Serum

And the last thing I do is apply a lip product. Right now, and for a bit, my go to lip product has been the eos Natural & Organic Lip Balm Stick in Sweet Mint. I find the eos lip balms to be super hydrating and this one smells really good.

Eos Smooth Stick Lip Balm - Sweet Mint

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products in our winter skincare routines let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, enjoy doing your skincare routine and I’m glad you’re all liking Blogmas :).

Blogmas Day Five: Winter Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Five! Today I’m going to be talking about my winter skincare routine. In the past year I’ve been on a journey with my skincare routine for all seasons, basically I tried too many new products back to back and my skin hated me for it. So I scaled it way back and now I’ve found a routine that my skin really likes and I’m super happy about it.

So the first thing I do is use the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips and take off my eye makeup and whatever is on my lips. This has a really gentle, but effective formula so you don’t have to scrub. I’ve been using this for a while and I really like it, plus it takes off every kiss proof, waterproof, long wearing product you might have on.

IMG_6785

Then I take the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel and take the rest of my makeup off. This does a fantastic job of taking off all of my makeup while getting rid of any excess oil and not drying out my skin. This has Marine Plants, which reduce the look of wrinkles and fine lines, Allantoin, which softens and protects the skin. Vitamin B5 to moisturize and hydrate, Indian Gooseberry to help brighten the skin and Lavender for toning and soothing skin.

IMG_6786

From there I use the MineTan Body Skin Hydra Glow Sleep Serum with triple action hyaluronic acid. I got this in a BoxyCharm box months ago and I’ve been using it every day since. This absorbs into the skin instantly and because it’s time release, as you sleep it continues to hydrate so you have glowing skin.

IMG_6787

Moving on, the next thing I do is moisturize my entire face using the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer. This is a 30 percent hyaluronic acid complex cream that helps lock in hydration for up to 72 hours. This is good for normal, combination, oily and dry skin and if you have wrinkles/fine lines, dryness or uneven texture then this is the perfect cream for you. This is incredibly lightweight and it sinks in really quickly. I used to only use thicker creams during the winter, but this one is so moisturizing that I don’t feel the need to use a thicker cream.

IMG_6788

The second to last thing I do is apply my eye cream and for that I use the Murad Hyrdo-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for eyes. This is also a product I received in a BoxyCharm box and have been using every day since. This helps to seal in moisture and restore smoothness, while deeply quenching and nourishing the eye area.

IMG_6789

And the last thing I do is apply a lip product and right now I’m using, and loving, the eos Sweet Mint Lip Balm. This does come in the ball and stick forms, but I like the sticks. This is free of gluten, parabens and phthalates and made from 100% natural ingredients. There are a variety of flavors, but I like the Sweet Mint the best, it’s nicely minty but it’s not over the top. These are incredibly moisturizing and all of them smell really good.

IMG_6790

That about wraps it up for this post, if you use any of the same products in your winter skincare routine let me know and if not I’d love to know what your routine consists of.

Until next time, you can never be too moisturized and I hope you’re enjoying Blogmas :).

Blogmas Day Nine: Winter Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Nine! Today I’m going to be showing you guys my winter skincare routine. I do these posts every season, and I really enjoy them, so with that being said let’s get into it.

The first thing I do is take the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips put that on a cotton pad and swipe it over my eyes and lips. One of the things I really like about this is it has a really gentle formula so you don’t have to scrub and it takes off every long wear, waterproof product you’re wearing.

JLSP2

Then I take the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel to remove the rest of my makeup. You put this on your hands, rub until it’s foamy, then put on your face. And it leaves your skin feeling really nice.

MYSP3

My next step is to take the Caudalie Concentrated Brightening Essence on a cotton pad and swipe all over my face. This removes any dead skin cells you may have so that your serums and moisturizers can really sink in and do their job.

JSP5

Then it’s time for serums. This winter I’ve been rotating between my two favorites, the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum which is really great at evening out your skin tone and brightening your skin and honestly during winter I feel like brightening is key because the cold can be so harsh on the skin. And the Olehenriksen Truth Serum, which has vitamin C, green tea, aloe juice and orange extract and is very hydrating and brightening as well.

OSP3

SSP7

I follow that with moisturizer and this winter I’ve been loving two. The first is the Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen, which I talked about 975 times during the summer months and I still freaking love it. This has a really buttery texture, it makes my skin feel really soft, hydrated and almost dewy. It’s a vegan collagen, has ceramides, alguronic acid, Mary Thistle and is free of pretty much everything. The second is the Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb. This makes my skin again feel really soft and smooth. The callout is that it can retain moisture for up to 26 hours and it does feel like it moisturizes for a long time.

AUSP3

SPSP2

My second to last step is eye cream and for that I have my trusty duo of the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb and the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. The Belif cream has been my holy grail eye cream for a while, it makes my under eye look and feel moisturized. The Clinique Pep-Start is really hydrating, brightening and I look more refreshed after using it.

FSP3

APB9

And my last step is lips. For this I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla and the Vanilla Softlips. I’ve been using the Laneige more because it gives that extra moisture that my lips want during winter. But the Softlips is always really hydrating and both of these smell really good.

JUSP5

AF3

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routines and you can never have too many skincare products :).

November Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my November Play Box from Sephora and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme for this month is Beauty For Self Care, meaning that these are products you can use and play with when you’re treating yourself to a chill night. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure on the top. The front is a pretty see through purple with various beauty and lifestyle products and ‘Play! By Sephora’ in the middle. The back is white with ‘Jugar, Spielen, Giocare, PLAY! #SephoraPlay’ written in purple. Those all mean play in various languages, there is another language as well but it’s an Asian language and I don’t even know how I would attempt to write that.

NVSP5

The first product we have is the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. This is a moisturizer that you can either wear on it’s own or under your foundation. Because this is infused with pearl particles it highlights as it hydrates. I’m wearing this right now and when I put it on I was surprised at how glowy it was. It smells nice, sunk in to my skin quickly and I can tell that I’m more glowy than usual. Overall I really like it.

NVSP1

Next we have the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30. You put this on after your serum and before your foundation. It’s supposed to give you sun protection, a good base to work with and because of the tiger grass, reduce any redness you have plus protect your skin from environmental aggressors. I’ve used one Dr. Jart+ product in the past and I did like it so we’ll see.

NVSP2

Moving on we have the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Mascara. This is a mascara that promises big, full lashes in one coat. The brush you get with this is an odd shape, it’s shaped like an S. I have tried Lancôme mascaras in the past, but the one I used I really didn’t like, the formula was too thick for my liking. But this one seems to be better. I will definitely let you guys know what I think.

NVSP3

NVSP4

The next product we have is the Nars Satin Lipstick in Tolede. This is a really pretty rosy pink shade with a satin finish. I’m wearing this today and I honestly love it. It’s really creamy, nicely pigmented and it has great staying power. I’ve been eating and drinking and it’s holding up really well. I would definitely recommend it.

NVSP6

NVSP7

NVSP8

The second to last product we have is the Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. This is a unique lip product, it’s a lip balm meets lipstick. So you get this nice plum lipstick color but with a lip balm texture. This swatched really nicely and the color is really pretty. I’ll definitely let you guys know what I think, I’ll probably post pictures on Instagram.

NVSP9

NVSP10

NVSP11

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. I have a bottle of this and I absolutely love it. It’s a slightly spicy and very warm scent. It has vanilla undertones and it’s very well balanced. If you haven’t smelled this and you get the chance definitely do, it’s so good.

NVSP12

NVSP13

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your November Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Summer 2019 Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Today, as summer is coming to a close, I thought it would be the perfect time to share my summer skincare routine. I have two routines, one from the beginning of the summer and one that I’m using right now. So with that being said, let’s get into it.

So the first thing I do is take my trusty Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lips and Lashes, put that on a cotton pad and swipe it over my lips and eyes. This has a really gentle formula and you don’t have to scrub to get the makeup off.

JLSP2

Then I take the Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water. I’ve been using this for a little while and I like it a lot. It has Matcha Green Tea extract which is great for the skin and it’s soap free so you don’t have to rinse after using it. And I put it on a cotton pad and use on my whole face to remove the rest of the makeup.

APB8

My next step is to take the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence on a cotton pad and swipe all over my face. This removes dead skin cells so any serums and moisturizers you use can sink in and work to their fullest.

JSP5

Then it’s serum time. I have a couple that I really like, but this summer I’ve been using the Olehenriksen Truth Serum. This serum is super hydrating and brightening and it’s full of vitamin C along with aloe juice, green tea and orange extracts.

SSP7

I follow that with my moisturizer which is Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow. I’ve been using this for a few months and I like it a lot, I’ll even use this in the morning. It has vitamins C and E, hyaluronic acid and glycerin. All of those combined help to boost the moisture in your skin while protecting it from anything nasty in the environment and preventing dryness. It’s also free of parabens, sulfates SLS and SLES, phthalates and many others. It’s also $16.00 for the full size and $9.00 for the smaller version.

JUSP2

My second to last step is eye cream and for that I’ve been using the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. This is really brightening, hydrating and I can tell a difference after using it. I look and feel refreshed.

APB9

And my last step is lips. I have two products that I use for this, for the nights when I want more I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla. This makes my lips feel really moisturized and smooth, plus it smells really good. And my second lip product is my go to, the Vanilla Softlips. It’s always really hydrating and again, it smells good.

JUSP5

AF3

For my second routine, there are a few newer products, but I can honestly say I’m loving them. My first step hasn’t changed, it’s still the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. I had mentioned in my spring makeup routine that I was using the Lancôme Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover and I ended up recently finishing the one I had and I haven’t decided if I’m going to repurchase yet. But if you’re considering it, it’s quite good.

JLSP2

The next step is an old favorite of mine, the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. I used this forever, ran out, then got a sample in a Sephora Play Box and it reminded me how much I like it so I decided to repurchase. You put this on your hands, rub until it’s foamy then put it on your face. It takes off all your makeup, doesn’t leave anything behind and makes your skin feel nice.

MYSP3

Next up is the Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil. Prior to this I hadn’t really used face oils but this one was intriguing to me. It has noni extract, pomegranate oil, rosehip oil and sea buckthorn oil. All of which are high in antioxidants and the essential fatty acids so it really brightens and nourishes. My skin feels more naturally glowy along with being softer and very hydrated. This is good for sensitive, normal, dry, oily and combination skin so if you’re thinking about trying a face oil I would recommend this one.

MYSP4

From there I go straight to my moisturizer, the Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen. This is so good, I’ve been using this since I got it and my skin loves it. It has a really creamy, almost buttery feeling when you put in on. I’ve noticed that my skin looks and feels really smooth, soft and fresh. This is an expensive product, but in my opinion it’s so worth it, especially when it comes to skincare.

AUSP3

Then I go to eye cream and I’ve still been using the Clinique Pep-Start but I’ve also brought my favorite Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb back into the mix. It’s my holy grail eye cream and these two together is just so good.

APB9

FSP3

And the last step is to use either the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla or my Vanilla Softlips.

JUSP5

AF3

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routines and you can never have too many skincare products :).

July Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought today would be the perfect day to talk about my July favorites. I have an interesting mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my July Sephora Play Box, I’ll of course link that post below if you haven’t read it. And my Play favorite is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. You guys know how much I love this. I’ve been using it for ages and it not only takes off every stay proof, waterproof, long lasting bit of makeup, but it does so with a gentle formula so there’s no scrubbing or irritation.

JLSP2

Next up we have the Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Glace. Again, this is something I’ve been using for a little while and it’s just so good. This particular shade is like a dusty mauve and it’s so pretty. These lip crayons are super pigmented and really long wearing. I have quite a few Bite Beauty products and honestly they’re all great. If you’ve never checked them out then I highly recommend doing so.

JLSP7

JLSP8

My last Play favorite is the Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Love Eau So Sweet. This is a scent that I would describe as very summery. It’s floral, fruity and just a little bit sugary, which is perfect. This isn’t one of those perfumes that you have to worry about being completely faded by the end of the day, it wears well and lasts a long time. I definitely recommend smelling this if you haven’t and you get the chance.

JLSP9

My second to last beauty favorite is the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots. I received this first in my Walmart Beauty Box, link below, and in my Target Beauty Box later, link below. So I figured I would give it a try. I take pretty good care of my hair so I didn’t know if it would really do a lot, but I have to say that I’m impressed. You use this after you’ve shampooed and conditioned and you apply it from the middle of your hair to the ends. It’s purpose is to target any damage you may have and to help prevent split ends, what I’ve noticed is that the portion of my hair I applied it has been softer than normal and I quite like that.

WBB9

And my last beauty favorite is Aloe Vera. Earlier this month I was doing something I’m going to talk about later in this post, outside in the heat of the day, for a long period of time, and I got the worst sunburn I’ve had in a really long time. It was so red and so painful and using aloe absolutely saved me. It ended up not peeling and actually turned into a nice little tan.

My next favorite is a book and it’s Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I talked about the show adaptation in my favorites last month and after watching and loving that I decided that I had to read the book. I absolutely loved it, it was so funny and now I fully understand why so many people have loved this book for so long. It’s just fantastic. I 1000% recommend reading it if you haven’t and watching the show because David Tennant and Michael Sheen are incredible and do an outstanding job of bringing the characters to life.

JLYF5

Moving on, my next favorite is my sunflowers and the planter box I built for them, aka the thing that caused my sunburn. Back in June a neighbor of mine told me she had some extra sunflower starts that she didn’t have a use for and I very happily took them off her hands. I knew that sunflowers like to root pretty deep and have space to grow so I decided to build my own planter box. It came out so good, I’m super happy with it and the sunflowers have been thriving since I put them in there. I have to give a shout out to my dad for helping me with this because my woodworking experience is limited.

JLYF1

JLYF2

JLYF3

JLYF4

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the song Superstitious by Europe. I feel like Europe is a band that gets forgotten about/people don’t know has more songs than Final Countdown. But my discovering this song was totally random, it popped up in my recommended on YouTube and I’m glad I clicked because I really like it. I listen to a lot of music and this song has one of, in my opinion, the best guitar solos. It’s just so good. And I would definitely say to give this song a listen if you haven’t, it’s pretty great.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your July favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great July :).

July Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my July Play Box from Sephora and thought that today would be a good day to go through it. The theme this month is Desert Island Essentials, basically it’s products that if you were on a desert island would serve you well. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure, the front is a see through green with various beauty and lifestyle products and Play! By Sephora in the middle. The back is white with ‘Ready. Set. Play! #SephoraPlay’ written in green.

JLSP1

The first product we have is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. This is something I use often and have been using for a while. It has a gentle formula, you don’t have to tug to remove any makeup and it really does take everything off. This is something I always recommend to people and will probably continue to do so.

JLSP2

Next we have the Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser with Bamboo Booster. This is a cleansing balm that is supposed to take off all of the water resistant, long lasting makeup and remove any traces of makeup/dirt/sunscreen. It also comes with a little packet of Bamboo Booster which is a bamboo extract and charcoal powder mix. You add that to your Slaai and it is supposed to exfoliate and help to remove dead skin cells. I’ve never actually used anything from Drunk Elephant so I’m excited to try this out.

JLSP3

JLSP4

Moving on we have the Caudalie Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum. This is supposed to get rid of blemishes and reduce the look of pores, it also doubles as an overnight spot treatment. You guys know how much I like Caudalie as a brand, so I’m excited to try this and I’ll let you know what I think.

JLSP6

The next product we have is the Kiehl’s Ginger Leaf and Hibiscus Firming Mask. This is an overnight mask that you put on before bed and is supposed to leave you with smoother and firmer skin. I don’t usually wear overnight masks, but since I’ve been wearing the overnight lip mask I’ve been looking into them, so this one comes at a great time.

JLSP5

The second to last product we have is the Bite Beauty Matte Cream Lip Crayon in Glace. I have this exact lip crayon and I love the color. It’s a dusty mauve and it goes so well with so many different looks. It’s super pigmented, and long wearing. Bite Beauty has so many great products and if you haven’t ever checked them out I definitely recommend it.

JLSP7

JLSP8

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Love Eau So Sweet. This is a very complex scent, it’s fruity, floral and a little sugary. But it’s so well balanced and every time you smell it you can pick out something different. It’s like the perfect summer scent. I would recommend smelling it if you haven’t and you get the chance to.

JLSP9

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your July Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Spring Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be sharing my spring skincare routine with you. I’ve done a few of these posts in the past and I quite like them. I have two routines, one from the beginning of spring and one that I’ve been doing more recently and that includes products that I got more recently. I will link all the products I mention below. That being said, let’s get into it.

So for the first routine, the first thing I do is use the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lips and Lashes. It has a great formula that is really gentle but super effective, no scrubbing needed. I put this on a cotton pad and swipe it over my eyes and lips.

JNSP4

My next step is to take off the rest of my makeup and for that I use the IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cleanser. All you do is gently massage this onto wet skin for about 30 seconds and rinse when you’re done. This is different to other cleansers because it not only cleanses but it moisturizes. The first time I used this I wanted to see how good it really was so I didn’t use anything else after and I was impressed. So it’s great in either application.

MRSP2

After that I use the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence. I put this on a cotton pad and swipe it over my entire face. This really helps to remove any dead skin cells so your serums and moisturizers can really sink in to work to their fullest.

JSP5

My next step is serum and I have two that I go between. The first is the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. This is really great for evening out your skin tone and brightening your skin. The second is the Olehenriksen Truth Serum. This is full of Vitamin C, aloe juice and green tea and orange extracts. It’s super hydrating and also brightens your skin.

OSP3

SSP7

I follow that with my moisturizer, which is the Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream. I recently repurchased this because I was using it almost everyday and it’s so good. It’s very moisturizing, it sinks in to the skin quickly and my skin loves it.

AGSP9

My second to last step is to apply eye cream. For that I use my holy grail eye cream that I talk about all the time, Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb. I’ve been using this for a while now and I love it.

FSP3

And the last thing I do, and I do this right before I go to bed, is to put on a lip product. I have two that I go between. The first is Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Natural, I’ve been using this for a while and it always makes my lips super soft. And the second is Vanilla Softlips. I’ve been using Softlips for years and it’s a product that I know is always going to hydrate my lips and smell good doing it.

JSP4

AF3

On to the second routine, this has quite a few new/different products starting with what I use to take off my eye makeup. And that is the Lancôme Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover. This easily takes off all of the long lasting/waterproof whatever I’m wearing and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

DSP5

My next step is to take off the rest of my makeup and to do that I use the Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water. This is a very recent addition to my skincare routine and I’ve really been liking it. I put it on a cotton pad and swipe over my entire face. This is soap free so you don’t have to rinse after using and it has Matcha Green Tea extract which is great for the skin.

APB8

I follow that with the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence.

JSP5

And my serums, Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum and Olehenriksen Truth Serum.

OSP3

SSP7

I then moisturize using the Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto Replenishing Hydrator. This is incredible. It sinks in to the skin quickly, it’s light and it does keep hydrating your skin. My face feels so soft after using it, it’s been a game changer in my routine.

FBSP3

My second to last step is eye cream and for that I use the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. This is the only thing I’ve tried that really rivals the Belif cream. This is really good. It hydrates, brightens and I can tell that I look more refreshed after using it.

APB9

When it comes to putting on a lip product, besides the Vanilla Softlips, I’m also using the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment in Dream. This always leaves my lips feeling really moisturized and it smells amazing.

AF3

APB4

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routine and you can never have too many skincare products :).

April Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of April, I thought today would be the perfect day to do my favorites. I think that I have a pretty good mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my April Sephora Play Box, I’ll leave a link to that down below if you haven’t read it. The first is the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. I’ve been using an eye cream that I really liked but I was interested by this because I’m a big Clinique fan. And since I started using it I’ve not been disappointed. It hydrates, brightens and I feel like I look more refreshed. So this now has a permanent spot in my skincare cabinet.

APB9

My second Sephora Play favorite is the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer in Smoothing Primer. I really like this, it smells good and it’s lightweight. It also really locks in my makeup and when I put it on I feel like it really gives me an extra nice surface to work with. If you’re looking for a new primer I would say definitely check this one out.

APB7

My last Sephora Play favorite is the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Treatment in Dream. I put this on before I go to bed and the next morning I can see/feel the difference. My lips are very moisturized and they have a slight plump to them. This also smells really good and there’s a slight pink tint to it so if you wanted to wear this during the day you’d get a little color.

APB4

APB5

APB6

And my last beauty favorite is hairstyle. I got bored a few weeks ago and wanted to change up my bun a little so after I pulled my hair into a high ponytail I decided to braid it then shape it into the bun and I’m really happy with how it turned out. APRF3

APRF2

Next I have a fashion favorite and it’s this off the shoulder light blue top with little flowers on the sleeves from H&M. I bought this a little while and hadn’t had a chance to wear it yet, so when Easter came around I figured it was a good time. And I finished this look with a pair of white wedges. I don’t know if you can still get this top but they have quite a few other off the shoulder options.

APRF6

Moving on I have a food favorite and it’s Meiji Hello Panda cookies. I was at the grocery store a few weeks ago in the Asian food section looking for Pocky and I saw these next to it on the shelf. And they’re little cream filled cookies that are shaped like pandas and have pandas doing various activities on them. I bought them in strawberry and in the store they also had chocolate, which I want to try and I believe there are other flavors you can get online. But they’re really good and a fun little snack.

APRF4

APRF5

My second to last favorite is a puzzle I did at the beginning of the month. You guys know how much I love puzzles. This one is 1,000 pieces and it took me a little longer to complete than the last one I did but most of the pieces are similar color, which in the grand scheme of things I appreciate. But this is a Thomas Kinkade and it’s a winter scene. Thomas Kinkade puzzles are always so pretty and I have a few sitting in my Amazon cart right now.

APRF1

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the Doobie Brothers Brotherhood album. This album falls into that time period of the band’s music that I didn’t previously know a lot about and I only recently got into. And let me tell you, this album in my opinion, is super underrated. I mean top to bottom it’s full of fantastic, well written, well produced songs. If you haven’t ever listened to it, I would 100% recommend doing so.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what you favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great April :).

April Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

The other day I received my April Play Box from Sephora and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme this month is Winning Beauty, meaning that these products rate highly with the people. The bag this month is the same style as the previous months in the fact that it’s plastic and has a snap and lock closure, but this one is a really nice dark pink shade. So the front is see through pink with various lifestyle and beauty products and Play! By Sephora in the middle. The back is white and says ‘Player. A beauty connoisseur with a keen sense of *adventure* #SephoraPlay’ written in pink.

APB1

The first product we have is the Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water. You put this on a cotton ball/cotton pad and it’s supposed to not only remove your makeup but any dirt and impurities. This is soap free so there’s no need to rinse after using it and it has Matcha Green Tea extract which is great for the skin. I don’t use anything like this in my current skincare routine, so I’m interested to try this out.

APB8

The next product we have is the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. This eye cream is lightweight and is supposed to hydrate and brighten your skin while helping to depuff so you’re left looking refreshed. I always talk about how much I love my current eye cream, but I’m big Clinique fan, so I’m excited to try this. I’ll let you guys know what I think.

APB9

Moving on, we have the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer in Smoothing Primer. I’ve been using this since I got it and I really like it. It’s lightweight, I know that when I put this on my makeup is going to stay in place and I feel hydrated while using it. Plus it smells good. If you’re looking for a new primer I would definitely recommend this one.

APB7

Next up we have the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara in Black. This is a mascara that I use all the time and I love it. It has a nice big brush that gets to all of your lashes so you get that full bodied and volumized look. And it doesn’t clump.

APB2

The second to last product we have is the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment in Dream. I’ve also been using this since I got it and I have to say I’m really liking it. It has sugar, sea fennel and orange extract and the combination of the three is doing wonders for my lips. I put this on before I go to bed and my lips always feel moisturized the next day. I can also see that they’re plumper after using this. Plus it smells good. This has a slight pink tint to it so you can wear it on it’s own and get a little color. But it also comes in translucent.

APB4

APB5

APB6

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Christophe Robin Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts. This is a shampoo that has clay and it transforms from a paste into a foam. It’s supposed to absorb oil and impurities, help to create volume that comes from the roots and help to lock in your color. I’ve never used anything like this before so I’m intrigued by it.

APB3

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your April Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).
