October Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

First off, I want to say that I know I’m a couple of days late with this so I want to apologize, I’ve been crazy busy. But anyway, I received my October Glam Bag from Ipsy the other day and I wanted to go through it with you guys. The theme for this month is Ipsy Spellbound. It’s about embracing everything bewitching and what this time of year brings, I love this time of year so I think this is a great theme. Something I don’t often talk about is the little cards that come in the bags, they usually have the hashtag for the month and explain what the theme is. This one in particular says In my defense the moon was full and I was left unsupervised. I think that it’s hilarious and completely accurate. Moving on to the bag itself, it’s red with a lace overlay and a little black bat as the zipper. It’s adorable and is perfect for Halloween without being overkill.

OGB1

The first thing in this month’s bag is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. You guys know how much I love First Aid Beauty, so I was excited when I saw this. I don’t have particularly dry skin but this time of year with the cold I do find myself moisturizing more, especially as the day goes on, so I think I’ll get a lot of use out of this.

OGB2

Next we have the Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics eyeshadow in Bronzed. My only previous experience with Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics was one of their blushes, which I loved, so I was interested to see what their eyeshadows would be like. I can only describe this color as a dirty gold. I haven’t worn it yet, but I have swatched it and it’s quite pretty. It has a nice sparkle to it, it’s very pigmented and it’s buildable. All good things and I can’t wait to wear it.

OGB4

The next product is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. I always say that subscribing to Ipsy was the best thing for my eyeliner collection but it’s true and I’m not complaining about it. I wore this the other day and I bloody love it, it glides on so smooth, doesn’t smudge and it truly lasts all day. Definitely recommend it and it comes in a bunch of different and fun colors.

OGB3

Second to last we have a product that I already love and brand that I have quickly come to love and it’s the MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro. I love a liquid lipstick, most days that’s what I go for so I was intrigued when I saw this in the bag. I’ve honestly fallen in love with it, I will post a picture of myself wearing it, but I did forget the other day. Besides the color being lovely, the formulation as well as the staying power are amazing. I’ll for sure be purchasing other MDMflow lipsticks and I highly recommend them, great brand.

OGB5

OGB6

And lastly, we have a Pretty Woman NYC nail polish in Wine With Ice, Garçon. I’m wearing now and it’s so pretty. It’s a deep wine color and if you wrapped up fall in a bag and put a bow on it, it would look like this nail polish. Some of the things I love about the Pretty Woman nail polishes is they’re long lasting, quick drying and high shine. If you’re looking for a good nail polish, check them out.

OGB7

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your October Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Mini beauty haul- Fall 2017

Hi everyone,

Today I wanted to talk about a few products I’ve recently purchased and have been loving. The first is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. For a long time I was using the e.l.f. HD Powder and loving it, still love it, and around the time I was almost out of it I was hearing good things about this powder so I decided to try it. I love Tarte anyway so I knew it would be good and it is. It leaves you with a nice natural looking, matte finish. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good finishing powder.

MH1

The next product is the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil, 12 hour wear in 01 Black Lace. This is waterproof and has a matte finish. When it comes to eyeliners I don’t have a whole lot of pencils, it’s mostly liquid liners, so in an effort to try and even that out I picked this up and I honestly really like it. It goes on smooth, it is long lasting and it comes in a lot of different colors and a couple different finishes. I’m for sure going to be going back and buying a couple more.

MH2

And lastly we have an Urban Decay Vice liquid lipstick in shade Amulet. The Urban Decay Vice lipsticks are some of my absolute favorites. There are a ton of different colors and I think six different finishes and I love them. I have the shade 1993 in the Comfort Matte finish, it’s a darker brown and I really like it, I’ll link the post below where I originally talked about it so you guys can see it. This lipstick on the other hand is more of a rosey brown and it’s highly pigmented. I really recommend the Vice lipsticks in any shade or finish.

MH3

MH5

MH4

That about wraps it up for this post, I always enjoy doing hauls so look for more of these posts in the future.

Until next time, if any of you guys have tried these let me know and you can never have too many beauty products :).

September favorites

Hi everyone,

I’m a little bit late with this, but today I wanted to talk about my September favorites. September honestly flew by and I can’t believe we’re into the first week of October and I’m already planning my Halloween costume. So the first thing I want to talk about is beauty. I have a few favorites from my September Glam Bag, if you haven’t read that post I will link it down below. My first Glam Bag favorite is the bag itself, it fit the Ipsy Boss theme perfectly. I love the black and gold with the spikes and I’ve been carrying this in my handbag since I got it and I love it.

SPTF1

My next favorite is the Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey. This has a great shimmer, it’s nicely pigmented and the lighter shade is great on it’s own as a highlighter.

SGB4

My third Glam Bag favorite is the ColourPop Lippie Stix in the shade Glam Bag. I really liked this shade when I swatched it and even more when I put it on. It’s matte, which I love and it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. If you haven’t checked out ColourPop already, definitely do. Their lipsticks are fantastic.

SGB5

SPTF2

My last Glam Bag favorite is the Adesse New York Organic Infused Gel Effect nail lacquer in Deception. I really liked the color of this nail polish when I saw it. I love grey nails, especially this time of year and this didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend Adesse New York if you’re looking for a good nail polish.

SPTF3

Moving on I have a couple of food favorites, the first is the Vanilla Blueberry Kind bars. I always keep bars like these in my handbag, they’re a great on the go snack and lately Kind bars have been my favorite brand. These ones specifically have blueberries, vanilla, and 5 super grains, oats, millet, amaranth, buckwheat and quinoa. They really are so good.

And my last food favorite is on the other side of the healthy spectrum and they are the Strawberry Peanut M&M’s. I don’t always eat M&M’s, but I saw these in the grocery store and I couldn’t help but pick them up and they were delicious.

And lastly, I have a music favorite and it’s Ringo Starr’s new album Give More Love. Top to bottom this is truly fantastic. Some of my favorite songs from this album are Give More Love and Standing Still. If you haven’t heard any of this album yet definitely check it out on iTunes or YouTube, it’s worth a listen.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what you loved during September.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope everyone had a great September :).

September Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my September Glam Bag from Ipsy and wanted to go through it with you guys today. This month’s theme is Ipsy Boss. I think it’s a great theme, it’s all about empowerment and being the strongest and most fierce version of yourself. I really like the bag, it’s black and studded, it has a gold zipper and the material on the inside is a bluey purple color.

SGB1

The first thing is two sheet masks and they’re the Beauty Planner masks from Manefit.  The first is Mugwort, Astringent and Pore Care which is supposed to help with clearing your skin and moisturizing. The other is Lily, Whitening and Brightening which is meant to hydrate your skin. I love sheet masks, so I’m excited to try these.

SGB2

The second product we have is the Luxie Beauty 207 Medium Angled Shading Brush. Not only is this brush really soft, but it’s aesthetically pleasing and will look nice with my other brushes. I’ve said this before, but I strongly believe that you can never have too many brushes.

SGB3

Next is the Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey. This blush duo is honestly so pretty, and has a really nice shimmer and shine to it. I haven’t worn them together yet, but I did want to test it this morning so I’m wearing the lighter color as a highlighter and I like it a lot. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good blush.

SGB4

The second to last item is the ColourPop Lippie Stix in the color Glam Bag. I love ColourPop, their lipsticks are incredible and I cannot wait to wear this. It’s matte and I’m all about matte lips right now and I think this is a great color.

SGB5

SGB6

And lastly we have a nail polish. The Adesse New York Organic Infused Gel Effect nail lacquer in the shade Deception. I think the color is great, it’s not quite a gun metal gray, I would say it’s a shade lighter. But I love gray nail polish, especially this time of year.

SGB7

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your September Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you got in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Summer 2017

Hi everyone,

Today, as summer is pretty much over, I wanted to share three of my favorite outfits and makeup looks from summer 2017. I’ve done a couple of these previously and I really enjoy them. So the first look is from July and I’m still so in love with it, I don’t know where the shorts are from as they were a gift but the necklace I bought at Forever 21 ages ago.

Ootds1

Ootds4

So, starting with my face and after going through my morning routine, I started with my foundation, which I am out of but I’m going on a little shop tomorrow to pick up another, I use the L’Oreal Paris true match super-blendable foundation in the shade N2, Classic Ivory. To go with that I use the matching L’Oreal true match concealer in N 1-2-3, Fair/Light and I top that with the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer and use an e.l.f. powder brush to apply. I’m almost out of that too, but I ordered the Tarte Amazonian Clay finishing powder so I’ll let you know what I think of that. As for my bronzer I use the bronzer in the e.l.f. blush palette in light and the blush I used is the blush from the palette on the right in the bottom left corner. And finishing off my face I use the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin, still my favorite highlighter definitely recommend it and I apply that with the e.l.f. fan brush.

Ootds6

Moving on to eyes, I went to one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, the e.l.f. Everyday Smoky palette. I used the two brown shades in the middle, I applied the lighter brown with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and blended the darker brown with the Skone blending brush and used another brush to apply a light shimmer, third from the left, to the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. Mascara wise I used my trusty Maybelline Falsies Volum Express and Maybelline Great Lash and using an angle brush, I filled in my brows using Too Faced Up in Smoke. And I finished the look with a Too Faced Melted Matte lipstick, which are some of my favorite lipsticks, in the shade Queen B.

My second look is from July 4th and I always love doing a festive look.

Ootds2

Ootds4

Face wise I kept everything the same as my last look.

Ootds7

For my eyes I used Smolder from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and blended it out and used White Lie in the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is one of my favorites, I’ve talked about it many times, and it’s the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a Brush Tip. The Falsies and Great Lash for my lashes and Up in Smoke for my brows. And of course I had to do a red lip, so I used the Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. This is hands down one of my favorite red lipsticks.

And my last look is actually from yesterday and not technically an OOTD. But I was wearing dark skinny jeans and a Ramones shirt.

Ootds3

Ootds5

For this look I did use a couple of different products. In addition to my normal concealer I used the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige, this gives great coverage and I definitely recommend it, and I apply that with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. I also used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. It’s a great size and it’s one of the softest brushes I own. And the final thing I changed was my blush. This time I used the Balm, Balm Springs blush in the shade In Full Swing.

Ootds8

This look is something I don’t normally do and I didn’t know how it would look on me but I ended up really liking it and I already know a couple of things I want to do different next time to enhance it. For this I used the Hikari Cosmetics cream pigment in Honey Dew. I had used this as a highlight shade but not as a base, but it’s very pigmented and the color payoff is great. I then used White Lie on the inner corner and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. The Falsies and Great Lash on my lashes and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème in 246, Slow Burn. I really like the formulation of the Marc Jacobs lipsticks and they last, which is a major plus.

That about wraps it up for this post. Like I said, I really enjoy doing these posts so I’ll probably do another for fall.

Until next time, take as many OOTD pictures as possible and have fun with your looks :).

August favorites

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a great weekend! As August is almost over, I thought today would be the perfect day to do my favorites for the month. So starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my August Glam Bag and if you haven’t read that I’ll link it down below. My first favorite is the bag itself, there were three possible bags and this one was definitely my favorite. I love the colors, the tassel and the fact that it says Peace, Love, Lipstick. That’s a great motto.

AGF2

Next we have the Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. I’ve worn it a couple of times, including today, and I really like it. The tip is more pen like and you get a nice line, definitely check it out if you’re looking for a new eyeliner.

AGGB6

Moving on, we have the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in the color Light Beige. I bloody love this, it’s 100% one of the best things I’ve gotten in a Glam Bag and probably one of my favorite products I’ve put on my face. It’s semi matte, hides everything and is an SPF. Highly, highly recommend it.

AGGB4

And my last Glam Bag favorite is the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with red clay. This stuff is honestly great, it’s supposed to remove excess oils, purify and unclog pores and it does what it says on the tin. My skin feels and look great after I use it and my love for First Aid Beauty is continuing to grow.

AGGB3

Now on to two non Glam Bag beauty favorites. The first is a micro mini beauty blender, I bought this at Sephora after I got the BB concealer because I wanted something to apply it with that wasn’t a brush. And I’ve been loving it.

And my last beauty favorite is the Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo. I’ve been looking for a really good dry shampoo forever. I’ve tried a few different here and there and this has definitely been the favorite so far so I think I’m going to stick with it. It doesn’t create a bunch of buildup and it smells absolutely amazing.

AGF1

Moving on, my next favorite is baking. Recently the last season of the Great British Bake Off finally came to America and I’m so glad it did because I’m totally addicted. But it definitely made me excited for fall/ winter and baking so I got a jump start and made banana bread, I did post the recipe and if you haven’t read that I’ll link it down below. But I honestly can’t wait to do some more baking.

My second to last favorite is a YouTube favorite. You guys know how much I love Robbie Williams, he’s got an album of songs that didn’t make previous albums coming out soon, it’s called Under The Radar Vol. 2. But while he’s on tour he’s releasing vlogs of tour life, called Vloggie Williams, leading up to the release of the album on his YouTube channel. I personally love watching vlogs so I think this is great and I’ve been enjoying it.

And my last favorite is a song favorite and it’s Days Like This by Van Morrison. I don’t usually listen to Van Morrison, but this song came up on one of my Pandora channels and I instantly fell in love with it. It’s truly a great song and if you haven’t heard it definitely give it a listen.

That about wraps it up for this post, if any of you guys have the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what you’ve loved this month.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you’ve had an amazing August :).

August Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my August Glam Bag from Ipsy and wanted to share it with you today. The theme for this month is Ipsy Vibes. Good vibes only, peace and love type of thing, which I absolutely love. They had horoscopes on their website this month and I thought it was great. This month there were three different bags given out and the one I got is actually the one that I wanted, it has what will now be my new motto,  Peace, Love and Lipstick and I love the colors.

AGGB1

So the first product is the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. I love the Firma brushes, I have the 102 Blush Brush and I love it, use it all the time. These brushes are incredibly soft and I love the color scheme. I firmly believe that you can never have too many brushes, so I was excited to see this. And definitely check out Firma if you’re looking for brushes.

AGGB2

Next we have the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with red clay. I honestly love First Aid Beauty, their Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer is one of my favorite products, it’s done wonders for my skin. So I’m really excited to try this cleanser.

AGGB3

Moving on we have the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in the shade Light Beige. Let me tell you about this, I’m actually wearing it today and I think it’s got to be one of the best products I’ve used. I have this horribly annoying stress break out on my chin and I figured this would be the perfect time to see what this can really do and I’m honestly so impressed. It’s light to medium coverage, semi matte and it’s buildable, all things I really appreciate. And it’s SPF 34, which is a slightly weird number for an SPF, but nonetheless. Although I will warn you, I went on their website to check out other products and because they are a Korean brand the whole website is in Korean, which is not a language I speak, so it’s a little difficult to navigate.

AGGB4

The second to last product is from the Balm and it’s the Balm Voyage Vol. 2 eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha. This eyeshadow is a shimmery pale peachy color, highly pigmented and really pretty. Would make a great highlight under the brow or in the inner corner of the eye.

AGGB5

And the last product is the Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. You guys know how much I love trying new eyeliner so I was excited to see this and I’m excited to try it.

AGGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your August Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you got in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).
