June Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

I got my June Glam Bag from Ipsy yesterday and I thought today would be the perfect day to go over it. This month’s theme is Ipsy Volume Up. It’s all about being yourself and not being afraid to speak up. I think the bag is adorable, it’s the perfect size to stick in your handbag if you are looking for a smaller makeup bag or pencil case, etc. It has a set of lips on it and it’s perfect for the theme.

JNGB1

So the first product I’m going to talk about is a couple of facemasks from BioRepublic Skincare. I got two sheet masks, one is a green tea detox with green tea extract and vitamin E. It’s supposed to boost anti-oxidants and leave you with clean, supple and refined skin. The other is an aloe rescue with aloe vera juice and vitamin E. And it’s supposed to provide immediate hydration and leave you with healthy, revitalized and lush skin. This time of year people spend a lot of time in the sun and after a day in the sun this would be perfect. I love facemasks, so I’m excited to try these.

JNGB2

Next is a Luna by Luna eyeshadow in Jace. This is dusty peach color and it’s really pretty. I don’t typically wear a lot of colors like this, but I’m sure I can make it work.

JNGB3

The next product, from the Balm is the Balm Springs blush in the shade In Full Swing. This is a really light pinky blush and it’s perfect for summer. I can’t wait to wear it, the Balm blushes are great.

JNGB4

The second to last product is one of my favorites and it’s a NYX Whipped Lip and Cheek Soufflé in Plush. I love NYX, I think all of their products are great. This is a really pretty pink, I’ll probably use it just for lips, the fact that it’s whipped makes it nice to wear and to me it smells like vanilla frosting, which I love. I would definitely recommend anything NYX.

JNGB7

JNGB5

And the last product is a nail polish from Trust Fund Beauty and it’s in the shade Game Changer. I really like the Trust Fund Beauty nail polishes. The formulation is really nice and they have good staying power. I love the color of this one it’s bright and perfect for summer. I can’t wait to put it on my nails.

JNGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your June Glam Bag let me know and if not let me know what you got in yours.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Spring 2017

Hi everyone,

This week I wanted to do something I did last summer and really enjoyed. And that’s going through three of my recent outfits and makeup looks. I said that I may do one in the winter, but I totally forgot, and here we are. I went through my recent Instagram’s and picked the ones I liked best and I think the oldest is from April, so these are recent. And if you don’t follow me on Instagram, it will be below like always. So starting with the first one, this one is the one from April, so it was still a bit cold and rainy, and I wanted a fun look.

Ootd1

Ootd1a

Starting with my face, after I did my morning routine and prepped it, I started with my foundation. I’m still using and still loving the L’Oreal true match super-blendable foundation and I’m the shade N2, Classic Ivory. For my concealer I use the matching true match concealer in N 1-2-3 Fair/ Light. Next I use the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer on my whole face and apply with an e.l.f. powder brush. As for bronzer I used the e.l.f. Blush Palette in light, as you can see I ran out of it in the original palette, so I did buy another one and I use an angled contour brush. And finally for blush I use the same e.l.f Blush Palette and I use the blush in the bottom left corner (palette on the right) with a big fluffy brush. And finally for my highlight I used the Manna Kadar 3 in 1 highlighter/ bronzer/ eyeshadow in Fantasy and to apply that I use the e.l.f. fan brush. If you don’t own a fan brush I definitely recommend getting one.

Ootd1b

Moving on to eyes, for my shadow I used a Hikari Cream Pigment in Latte and a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush to apply and blend. In the  inner corner of my eye and under my eyebrow I used White Lie from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette, then I used Maybelline Expert Wear in Velvet Black eyeliner. When it comes to my mascara I still use two, first I use the Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express, it has a slightly curved brush, which I love, then I use my eyelash curler and on top of that I use the Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes. I’ve been using that on my bottom lashes as well. And finally I comb out my lashes making sure there’s no clumps. The second to last thing I do is fill in my brows. I brush them out, then with and angled brush I fill them in using Up in Smoke from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette. It’s pretty much the perfect match for my brows, a nice ashy brown. And the last thing I do is my lips. For this look I used the NYX Butter Lipstick in Ripe Berry.  And I finished it with a top knot.

The second look is less of an OOTD, but I really like this look. In the interest of fair reporting I was wearing a Mariners shirt and blue skinny jeans.

Ootd2

Ootd2a

For my face I used the same products, but changed my highlighter to the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin. This highlighter is amazing, I definitely recommend it.

Ootd2b

For my eyes I used In a Flash from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and White Lie in the inner corner and under my eyebrow. The EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip, if you’re looking for a liquid eyeliner this is a great one. The Falsies and Great Lash for my mascara, Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb. And a braided, side ponytail to finish.

And my last look is from Monday. The weather has been gorgeous lately, so I went with a summer dress. I forgot how much I like wearing summer dresses.

Ootd3

Ootd3a

I pretty much kept my face as the last look for this one.

Ootd3b

This look I like a lot, for my eyes I used both colors in the Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense eyeshadow duo in Electric. I used the rose gold one as the base and blended in a tiny bit of the gold. In the inner corner and under my eyebrow I used the Hikari Cream Pigment in Honey Dew, it’s a gorgeous sparkly pink. Eyeliner was the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. The Falsies and Great Lash mascara. Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and finally for lips I used the Cake Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. And a top knot to finish off the look.

That about wraps it up for this post, I’ll probably do another one of these come summer because I really enjoy them.

Until next time, enjoy your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).

May favorites

Hi everyone,

As this month is almost over, where did the time go, I wanted to do my May favorites.  This month I think I got a pretty good mix, so let’s get into it. Starting off with beauty, we have a couple of items from my May Glam Bag from Ipsy and if you haven’t read that post, I’ll link it below. The first is the Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense eyeshadow duo in Electric. The first time I wore this I used both colors and blended them and it was very pretty, but since then I’ve worn them on their own and I really like both colors. I definitely recommend it.

MYGB3

Next up we have the Pixi by Petra Endless Silky eye pen in BlackNoir. I always like to try different eyeliner because you never know what you’re going to like and what’s going to work for you and this really went to the top for me. It is really silky and smooth when you apply it and it lasts all day.

MYGB4

My next favorite is the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin. I always talk about how much I love Urban Decay and this highlighter makes me love them even more. It’s in a champagne shade and it does wonders. It’s really glowy and it’s long lasting. If you’re looking for a new highlighter definitely give this one a try.

My last Glam Bag favorite is the Caked Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. This is a gorgeous color and it lasts all day, but beyond that it smells like cake batter. Like actually, and it’s fantastic. No matter what I want to buy more of their Lip Fondants, but if they all smell like cake batter that will make it even better.

MYGB5

And my last beauty favorite is the Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon shower gel. I’ve always really liked this shower gel, it’s summery and it makes my skin feel nourished. I just ordered another one because I’m down to the last couple drops in my current bottle.

Moving to I guess kitchen items, I have two favorites. The first is the Mr. Coffee 3-Quart Iced Tea Maker. I had this iced tea maker for absolute ages, I really liked it and got a lot of use out of it. And when it finally quit on me I had to order another one. It’s getting to that time of the year where the weather is gorgeous and a lot of outdoor parties are happening, and iced tea is a popular drink. So I think you can get this in three colors, but I bought mine in blue and I’ll leave a link to it below.

The next item is the Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven. I had been wanting a dutch oven for ages because there’s so many uses and you can cook so many different dishes in them. My sister has one and wanted another for her birthday, and after seeing the one my mom bought her I knew this was the one I wanted. I bought the Caribbean Blue, 6 quart. But you can get different colors and quart sizes and I’ll link that below as well.

Next I have two TV show favorites. the first I know I am incredibly late to the party on, but it’s Sherlock. I was told forever that I should watch Sherlock and I never did, but recently I was looking for something to watch on Netflix and came across it. I watched the first three seasons in a couple of days. I honestly really love it. The fourth season was just added to Netflix, and I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. So if you have watched season four no spoilers please.

And my second favorite TV show this month is on History channel. It’s called JFK Declassified: Tracking Oswald. Basically a retired CIA agent, like a lot of people, was never satisfied with what came out of the Warren Commission report and since over 2 million documents about the JFK assassination have been declassified and released he wanted to do his own investigation. I am a huge history nerd and things like this really fascinate me. I don’t have as much information on this as I do other things throughout history, but this has more conspiracy theories than anything else, so it’s interesting. Last summer History channel did a show about DB Cooper and I loved it. DB Cooper is closer to home for me, so I have more information and I have my theories. If you guys have any theories on either, I’d love to know what you think.

And my last favorite for May is the song Thunderstruck by AC/DC. I’ve liked this song for a long time, as many people have, but I’ve been using it as a pump up song when I workout and it’s been working great. If you haven’t heard definitely look it up on YouTube. It’s a great song.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same favorites this month let me know. And if not, I’d love to know what you’ve been loving this month.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you’ve had a good May :).

May Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Over the weekend I received my May Glam Bag from Ipsy and figured today was the perfect day to talk about it. This month’s theme is Ipsy Summer Fridays. The theme really carries through. The bag is covered in ice cream and popsicles. It’s also plastic so that makes it perfect to take to the beach or the pool. When I pulled it out of the envelope it reminded me of how pool floaties smell which made me think of summer.

MYGB1

So the first product is Urban Decay Afterglow 8-hour powder highlighter in Sin. I’ve mentioned how much I love Urban Decay and this highlighter is amazing. It’s a gorgeous champagne shade and it did last most of the day, which I loved.

MYGB2

Next we have a Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense eyeshadow duo in Electric. When I opened this I was excited because I absolutely love these colors. I wore this on Saturday and really liked it. I used the rosey one as the base and put a little bit of the gold on top and after I blended it it was so pretty. It is really pigmented and I definitely recommend it.

MYGB3

Sticking with eyes, we have the Pixi by Petra Endless Silky eye pen in BlackNoir. Pixi is a brand I really like, their skincare is fantastic, but I hadn’t tried any of their makeup. Let me tell you, I will be going to their website and browsing through the makeup. Like I’ve said before, I’m always looking to try new eyeliner, doesn’t matter how many I have. And I really like this one. It was long lasting, it didn’t smudge, and it was incredibly smooth putting it on. It really lives up to it’s silky name.

MYGB4

Going on to lips, the next product is a Caked Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. I’m so in love with this liquid lipstick. Not only is the color fantastic, but it smells like cake batter. I mean, if it didn’t smell like cake I would still love it because it’s lightweight and doesn’t feel like it’s taking all of the moisture out of my lips. But the fact that it does makes it a million times more fun and I will definitely be purchasing more colors in the future.

MYGB5

And lastly, we have Beauty and Pin-Ups Fearless Hair Rescue Masque. I haven’t used this yet, but it smells really good. I love hair masks, thankfully my hair is really healthy and always has been, but being able to give it that extra love and softness is always nice. So I can’t wait to try this.

MYGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your May Glam Bags let me know, and if not I’d love to know what you got in yours.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

April favorites

Hi everyone,

As it is the last week of April I thought it was time to do my April favorites. I think I have a fun mix this month, so let’s get into it. Starting with beauty, the first thing is from my April Glam Bag from Ipsy, if you haven’t read that I’ll link it below, and it’s the bag itself. As far as design goes, this is the most fun bag they’ve done this month. It’s a red-orange ticket and I think it’s so perfect for this time of year. Fair season is coming up and if you’re like me and don’t really go to a lot of fairs this is perfect for spring/ summer. It will bring an element of color and fun to any outfit.

APF1

Next we have the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. I’m always looking for a good eyeliner, especially liquid liner and I have found one in this. It’s quick drying, smudge proof, it lasts all day and it’s super easy to take off at the end of the day. For anyone looking, I would 100% recommend this.

AGB4

And lastly from my April Glam Bag is the Meg twin nail polish in Lovey Dovey. I’ve worn both the colors, I’m actually wearing the nudey one right now. I really like the formulation, the color comes through nicely and the staying power is great.

AGB5

Moving on, we have the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip kit. I will also link that post down below if you haven’t read it. I really like everything that’s in that kit. I have worn the Buxom Full on Lip Cream since then and I did like it. It smells amazing, and it lasts on your lips for a while. If I would change anything, I think it would be the color. This one is in White Russian, and I think it was a little bit light for me personally, but I would order any of their other colors.

SH1

My next favorite is Easter. This year when my family got together we had a pretty chill day, watching baseball and playing games. But it was really nice and relaxing. And this is what I wore.

APF2

And speaking of baseball, that’s my next favorite. Baseball season is here, we’re almost through the first month of the season. My Seattle Mariners are off to a slightly slow start, they’re 8-13 right now which isn’t too horrible, very easy to get to .500 from here. And they’re in the middle of a road trip right now. I think this is one of the most talented teams we’ve had in a little while. Everyone is wanting to hit, having good at bats, defense is great, and the thing that has excited me the most is how many guys we have stealing bases. For the last five years at least I’ve been saying that we need to steal more bases and it’s finally happening. For the most part they have really adopted the Whatever It Takes mentality and I’m excited about the rest of the season.

APF3

Next up we have a food favorite. The other day I was looking through an ad that came in the mail for Fred Meyer or QFC and it was advertising a new flavor of the Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Pieces so I thought I would try them because I hadn’t yet and I love pretzels. When I got there they were sold out of the new flavors so I ended up buying the jalapeno ones and they were so good. When I opened the bag it instantly reminded me of the Tim’s Cascade chips, which I absolutely love. And they don’t hold back on the jalapeno flavor. Now I definitely want to try all of the other flavors.

And my last April favorite is The Bee Gees. Every couple of years the Grammy’s does a salute to a person or group who has been making music for a long time, they have other artists perform the honorees songs and at the end that person or group comes up and does a couple of their own songs. That I know of they’ve done Stevie Wonder and The Beatles, who I love very much, and this year it was The Bee Gees. I was pleasantly surprised at how many of their songs I knew, and since then I’ve been listening to their music regularly. And I very much want to sing with Barry Gibb, he’s amazing. If you’re not familiar with their music look them up on YouTube or iTunes, they’ve got some great songs.

That about wraps it up for this post. If we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not let me know what you’ve been loving this month.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you’ve had a great April :).

April Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my April Glam Bag, so I thought today would be the perfect day to go through it. This month’s theme is Ipsy Side Show. I think when it comes to bag designs, this one is the most fun yet. It’s a red-orange bag in the shape of a ticket and I think that’s genius. Fair season is coming up so it’s the perfect bag for something like that.

AGB1

So starting with hair, the first thing in this bag is from Theorie. It’s a Marula Oil transforming hair serum. It’s supposed to moisturize, smooth, protect and repair hair. I usually don’t put oils in my hair, but I’m interested to try it out.

AGB2

Next we have a Hikari cream pigment eye shadow in the shade Honey Dew. This is such a gorgeous color. I swatched it yesterday and I think it’s going to be so pretty on.

AGB3

Moving on, from EM Cosmetics, we have their Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. I’m actually wearing this today and I think it’s great. I’m always on the hunt for a good eyeliner and this one definitely gets an A from me.

AGB4

Going next to nail polish, from Meg, it’s their Twin nail polish in Lovey Dovey. The color on the left is gray with a purple undertone and it’s really pretty. I’ve got it on and I like it a lot. The formulation is really nice. The color on the right actually reminds me of how my coffee looks after I’ve added creamer. But I’m always looking for a good nude toned nail polish.

AGB5

And the last thing in this months bag is a brush. But not just any brush. It’s the Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Angle Brush. When I was growing up Lisa Frank was really big, all of my friends were decked out with notebooks, folders, stickers, the whole lot. I had a couple of things myself, so when I saw this brush it was a total childhood flashback. The whole design is great, the rose gold on the handle, the pink center of the brush itself. And on top of all that, this is now definitely one of the softest brushes I own.

AGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your April Glam Bags let me know and if not, let me know what you got in yours.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Sephora haul

Hi everyone,

Recently I was going through the Sephora website to see if they had anything new or anything I hadn’t seen yet, and I did find one thing that I really liked. The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip kit. I’m always looking for new lip products, you can never have too many in my opinion and I love the colors of this.

SH1

The first product is the Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian. I haven’t worn this yet, and I’m wondering what it will look like on me because the swatch is really light, but it smells incredible so I’m interested to put it on.

SH2

SH3

Next is one of my all-time favorite brands Too Faced. I love all of their products, but recently I’ve really been loving their melted lipsticks. And this is a Melted Matte in the shade Queen B. It’s a gorgeous soft mauvey color and I love it. I wore it the other day and was super happy with it.

SH4

SH5

SH6

Next up is a lip liner. It’s the Estee edit by Estee Lauder, The Barest Contour Lip Liner in 05 In The Buff. I don’t usually line my lips, but I’m a big fan of Estee Lauder so I’m interested. And it’s a nice color so I’ll definitely be trying it out.

SH7

SH8

So moving on to lipsticks, we have a Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb. I wore this yesterday and fell in love. It’s a gorgeous beigey nude. It’s long lasting, but doesn’t feel heavy. But it smells really good, I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is. But it’s definitely citrusy.

SH9

SH10

The next lipstick is from Marc Jacobs and it’s a Le Marc Lip Crème in 246, Slow Burn. I would describe this as being more in the rose family, shade wise. I wasn’t sure initially how it would look on me, but I liked it. This was my first time trying a Marc Jacobs lipstick, and I would definitely recommend it.

SH11

SH12

And the last lipstick is from Urban Decay. It’s a Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in the shade 1993 Comfort Matte. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but I love Urban Decay, I think all of their products are great and I really like their lipsticks. I’m actually wearing this today, and I’ll probably post a picture on Instagram of it later, so if you follow me on Insta look for that. But I really like this color, it’s a medium brown, which I will admit I was slightly unsure of when I saw just how brown it is. But I think it looks good and it’s not too dark for me. I also really like the packaging. When you take the lid off, to me it looks like a shell casing and I’m all for that.

SH13

SH14

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any lipstick recommendations let me know.

Until next time, you can never have too many lipsticks and the next time you’re in Sephora definitely give this kit a look :).
