Three Recent Looks, Too Faced You Drive Me Glazy Palette

Hi everyone,

As promised, today we have one of my favorite styles of post, a Three Recent Looks, and this time it’s all about the Too Faced You Drive Me Glazy Palette. I’ve really been liking this palette a lot, there’s a lot of versatility and I definitely recommend.

So, for the first look I wanted to do something with the lighter shades, so I went for a champagne sparkle and it’s become one of my favorite subtle sparkly looks.

The first thing I did was prime my face, and you won’t see this in any of the pictures because I had a sample and simply threw it away when I was done without thinking, but I used the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Item Beauty Air Hug Concealer in 100 and I set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed and to do that, I used the third shade in the Ace Beaute Bronzed In Paradise Palette. Then I applied the Kiss Miss blush from the Too Faced You Drive Me Glazy palette and used the shade Glowing from the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette, to highlight.

When it came to my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette and in the crease, I applied a light-ish layer of Drummer Girl. Then, all over my lid, I applied Ho Ho-Nut. I then took Drummer Girl and ran it about 3/4 of the way under my eye and for the rest and the inner corner of my eye, applied Ho Ho-Nut. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Laura Gellar Lash Boss Mascara. For my lips, I lined them first with the Model Co Illusion Lip Liner and on top of that, applied the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

For my second look I did something that I do with most every palette, if it’s an option, a brown and gold combo. Now, with this palette there are multiple ways to do brown and gold, but this was the one I was feeling on the day.

The first thing I did was prime my face with the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Item Beauty Air Hug Concealer in 100 and I set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, I went into the Ofra Mini Mix Face Palette in Good To Go and used that for everything. Bronzer is Current, blush is Intentions and highlight is the lightest shade from All Of The Lights.

The first thing I did for my eyes was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into then palette and using Maple Bar, I created a little wing, then brought it about halfway onto my lid. For the rest of my lid I applied Such A Snowflake. I then brought Maple Bar under my eye about halfway and for the rest and the inner corner of my eye, applied more of Such A Snowflake. I wanted a little more depth, but didn’t want to overpower the look with a lot of liner, so I took the NYX Slide On Glide On Eyeliner Pencil in SL15 – Brown Perfection, and did just a little. I topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips, I started to line them with the Beauty Vaulte Kozy Kira liner, but ended up putting it all over my lips, and for a little shine, topped that with a very light layer of the Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Glossy Balm in Nearly Neutral. I set everything with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

For the third look I wanted to do something more dramatic and use one of the darker shades I had been eyeing because it’s really pretty in the pan and I liked the swatch. I will say, I don’t love how it translated onto the eye, and I had the same problem with this shadow that I did with the shade Jam Packed. I don’t know if it’s just a formulation issue, but by the end of the day, there was only a small line of it left on my eye.

But, as for how I did it, I first primed my face with the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Item Beauty Air Hug Concealer in 100 and I set it with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Translucent.

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer. Then I applied the Kiss Miss blush and highlighted with the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter.

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette, I applied a very light layer of Drummer Girl in the crease. Then all over my lid, I applied Blueberry Blitzen. I didn’t want too dark of an undereye, so I applied Drummer Girl 90% of the way, and for the inner corner of my eye, applied a little bit of the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Too faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I lined my lips with the Model Co Illusion Lip liner, then filled them in with a light layer of the Sephora Collection #LipStories Lip Balm in Roller Boogie, which I’m really liking, and for a little more shine, I topped that with just a bit of the Nars Afterglow Lip Shine in Orgasm. And I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have a favorite look let me know which, and if you have this palette, I’d love to know what your favorite look is that you’ve done with it. Like I said, this is one of my favorite styles of post, so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Blogmas Day Eleven: 3 Recent Holiday Looks

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Eleven! Today I’m going to be showing you 3 festive looks that I’ve done during December. I already have my Christmas Day Makeup figured out, but if you don’t, hopefully this post will give you a little inspiration.

The first look I did was gold. I have quite a few gold shadows I could’ve used, but I went with a bold gold. The first thing I did was prime my face and to do that I used the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory and my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory. And set it with the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Loose Setting Powder in Translucent Peach Whisper.

IMG_6883

For the rest of my face I first bronzed and to do that I used the Too Faced Extra Toasty bronzer. I then went into the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee for my blush and highlighter. This blush is a nice light/medium pink and it’s nicely buildable. And the highlighter is a nice gold with a little bit of rosiness.

IMG_6885

IMG_6887

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime and to do that I used the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer. Then I went into the e.l.f. Haute Chocolate Eyes Sugar Cookie palette and the first thing I did was take the matte nude shade and put it all over my lid. Then I took a light brown and put it in the crease. I then used a dark chocolaty brown and packed that on the outer corner of the eye and brought it a little bit into the crease. For the rest of my eye I applied the bright gold. I then took that chocolatey brown under my eye and brought it about two-thirds of the way in and put the gold on the remaining third and in the inner corner of my eye. I then lined my eyes using the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon in Blacquer and topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume mascara. Because it’s the holidays all of these looks feature red lipstick and for this look I used the Clarins Velvet Lip Perfector in 03 Velvet Red and I set the entire look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

IMG_6886

IMG_6888

IMG_6780

For the second look I wanted to do something fun and a little bit over the top, so I went with green. For my face I used the same products as the first look with the exception of the powder. For this look I used the Ofra Cosmetics Banana Powder

IMG_6884

For the rest of my face I started with bronzer and for that I used the Benefit Hoola bronzer. For my blush and highlighter I used the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo palette in Lychee.

IMG_6889

IMG_6890

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime and for that I used the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the e.l.f. Haute Chocolate Eyes Sugar Cookie palette and I put the nude shadow all over my lids. Then I put a light brown shadow in the crease, just to have a background shade and a little bit of depth. Then I applied the shimmery emerald green all over my lid. It’s such a pretty color and translates really well from pan to eye. To mix it up a little I went into the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party palette and from that took Nooks & Cranberries, a matte red shade, and put that under the entirety of my eye and then put the white shimmery shade form the e.l.f. palette in the inner corner of my eye. To line my eyes I used the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black and topped off the eyes with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I applied the MAC Matte Lipstick in 612, Russian Red. And I set the entire look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

IMG_6896

IMG_6891

IMG_6863

And for the third look I wanted to do something that mixed a couple of colors so I went with a red and gold look. For my face, I used the same products that I used in the first look.

IMG_6883

For the rest of my face I applied the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer, Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and e.l.f. highlighter in Lychee.

IMG_6892

IMG_6894

For my eyes I first primed using the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer. Then I went into the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party palette and took the nude shade, Cream Filling, and put it all over my eye. I then went into Nooks & Cranberries and put it in the crease lightly, then I packed it on the outer corner and the inner corner of my eye. In the middle I left a space and put Icing On Top, it’s a very pretty gold. To line my eyes I used the Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer and I topped it off with the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara. I applied the YSL Tatouage Couture in 5 Rosewood Gang on my lips and set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

Blogmas Day Three: Red Lipstick and Liner Collection

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Three! As one of the essentials for the holiday season is red lipstick, I thought it would be fun to show you my current collection of red liners and lipsticks.

IMG_6740

Starting with liners, the one red liner I have is the Beauty Vaulte liner in Natty Nat. As far as tone, this is a pretty true and classic red that goes with a lot of the lipsticks in my collection, but I also really like it as and all over lip color.

IMG_6741

IMG_6742

IMG_6743

Going into lipsticks, the first one we have is the NYX Shout Loud Satin Lipstick in Red Haute. This is a nice warm red. These lipsticks are nicely pigmented and are infused with mango and shea butter so you get 4 hours of hydration.

IMG_6744

IMG_6745

IMG_6746

Moving on, the next lipstick we have is the e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet. This is a lipstick that I’ve repurchased many times over the years. This is really rich and creamy when you put it on and the color is very vibrant. e.l.f. lipsticks have a great formula and I always recommend them if someone is looking for a good drugstore lipstick.

IMG_6747

IMG_6748

IMG_6749

Next up we have the Sephora Collection Matte Lipstick in 23-Cabin Fever/23-After Hours. This is a darker red and I really like it. It’s so pigmented and long lasting and during the holidays and during college football season, this is a lipstick I wear a lot.

IMG_6750

IMG_6751

IMG_6752

Next up we have the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. Bite Beauty did discontinue their Amuse Bouche lipsticks, I believe it was to reformulate and from what I understand they’re supposed to be relaunching sometime soon. I have quite a few of the Amuse Bouche lipsticks and I really like the formulation and pigmentation of them all. This one is a darker red, ever so slightly than the SC Cabin Fever, and it’s so pretty.

IMG_6753

IMG_6754

IMG_6755

The last of the bullet lipsticks is the MAC Matte Lipstick in 640, Red Rock. This is the first MAC lipstick I’ve had and when I was shopping for it there was no question in my mind that I had to buy a red because MAC does red so well. This shade in particular is a really classic, true red and it’s just so good in every way.

IMG_6756

IMG_6757

IMG_6758

The second to last lipstick we have is the YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Lip Stain in 5-Rosewood Gang. This is a lip stain so it’s a little bit lighter and I do like to layer it, but it stands up well to that and doesn’t get gloppy. Color wise this looks red on me, but it does have some pink/purple undertones. I’m actually running low and I need to pick up another one.

IMG_6759

IMG_6760

IMG_6761 (1)

And the last lipstick we have is the Clarins Velvet Lip Perfector in 03 Velvet Red. This is a liquid lipstick in a matte finish with shea butter that is super pigmented. This lipstick feels very light on the lips, which I appreciate and I do like the cushion applicator.

IMG_6762

IMG_6763

IMG_6764

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have any of the same lipsticks let me know which and if not I’d love to know what your favorite red lipstick is for the holidays :).

February 2020 Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Over the weekend I received my February Sephora Play Box and I thought today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme for this month is Beauty Soul Mates, which means these are products that you will fall for. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure. The front is a see through tealy blue with various beauty and lifestyle products and Play! By Sephora in the middle. The back is white with ‘How to PLAY! 1. Open 2. Heart eyes emoji 3. Repeat #SephoraPlay’ written in that same tealy blue.

IMG_5146

The first product we have is the Tarte SEA Water Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 15N Fair-Light-Neutral. This is a weightless, buildable foundation that is supposed to reduce the look of wrinkles and fine lines. I’ve never used a Tarte foundation before but I’m intrigued by this and I’ll let you guys know what I think.

IMG_5152

Next we have the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer. This has Lotus Root extract and Maca Root extract which are supposed to help with uneven texture, dryness and dullness all while leaving your skin with a nice glow. I have used this before and it’s not my absolute favorite moisturizer but it is really good and I would recommend it.

IMG_5153

Moving on we have the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream. This is an ultra moisturizing cream that is supposed to keep your skin moisturized and feeling like it’s on cloud nine for up to 72 hours. I really like Peter Thomas Roth as a brand, they make some amazing skincare, so I’m excited to try this.

IMG_5154

The next product we have is the KVD Vegan Beauty Lock-It Setting Powder. This is one of my favorite setting powders and has been for a while. It’s weightless, takes away unwanted shine and it’s not bad for baking either.

IMG_5155

IMG_5156

The second to last product we have is the Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in 5 Rosewood Gang. I haven’t worn any of the YSL lip products but they’re supposed to be lightweight, long wearing and very pigmented. I really like the color of this one when I swatched it, it’s a really pretty deep pinky mauve and I’ll definitely let you guys know what I think.

IMG_5157

IMG_5148

And the last product, this month’s bonus, is the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner. This is supposed to keep your blonde looking blonde and your hair healthy. I got one of these in a Play Box a few months ago and I haven’t gotten around to trying it yet but they have great reviews.

IMG_5158

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your February Play Box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

November Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought it would be the perfect time to do my November favorites. I have fun mix of items this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, all of my favorites are from my November Sephora Play Box, which I will link down below. My first favorite is the Glamglow Glamstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I really like this. It has pearl particles infused in it so it highlights as it’s hydrating. It sinks into the skin quickly, it smells nice and when you put it under foundation you do get a nice subtle glow.

NVSP1

My next beauty favorite is the Nars Satin Lipstick in Tolede. This is a beautiful rosy pink shade with a satin finish. I don’t have a lot of lipsticks in this shade but this one has made it’s a way to the front of my lipstick drawer. It’s nicely pigmented, has a creamy formula and has great staying power. This is one of those lipsticks that works in any season and I definitely recommend it.

NVSP6

NVSP7

NVSP8

And my last beauty favorite is the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. I’ve talked about this in the past, this is one of my favorite scents. I have a bottle of it sitting in my perfume shelf right now. It’s a very warm and slightly spicy scent with a vanilla undertone. I think it’s very well balanced and it’s perfect for this time of year. I definitely recommend smelling this if you haven’t and you get the chance.

NVSP12

NVSP13

My next favorite is a food and drink favorite and it’s holiday teas. I haven’t been listening to Christmas music yet, but I have gone in on the festive foods. Here I have the Celestial Seasonings Decaf India Spice Chai (I drink this all year, but more in fall/winter), Bigelow Peppermint Bark (Minty Chocolate Herbal Tea), Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Spice (I haven’t tried this one yet but I’m excited to) and Twinings Holiday Berry. I think the Peppermint Bark is my favorite right now but they’re all great and Twinings has another seasonal one that I want to pick up.

NVF1

Moving on I have what I guess you could call a lifestyle favorite and it’s HotHands hand warmers. I always buy a box of these in late November/early December but it got cold quick here so I bought some at the beginning of the month. I always keep a couple in my handbag and I’ve been appreciating myself for it. They stay warm for quite a while and they’re great to have around.

My second to last favorite is a website and it’s FoodTribe. FoodTribe is the sister site of DriveTribe, started by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May of The Grand Tour, and it’s all about food. There are a bunch of different categories or tribes on a ton of different food related subjects. I’ve been doing a little bit of food writing and recipe posting so I will link my FoodTribe profile down below.

And my last favorite is a music favorite, it’s Take That Odyssey-Greatest Hits Live. This album is from their recent tour, which celebrated their 30th anniversary, and it was recorded at the last show of that tour in Cardiff. This also has a DVD companion. I’ve been listening to this on Spotify since it came out and it’s so good, I also have seen little bits and pieces of the tour on YouTube. I think they did a brilliant job and I love the way they stayed true to their classic songs and changed the arrangement on others. I highly recommend giving this a listen if you haven’t.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and if you’re celebrating I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving :).

November Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my November Play Box from Sephora and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme for this month is Beauty For Self Care, meaning that these are products you can use and play with when you’re treating yourself to a chill night. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure on the top. The front is a pretty see through purple with various beauty and lifestyle products and ‘Play! By Sephora’ in the middle. The back is white with ‘Jugar, Spielen, Giocare, PLAY! #SephoraPlay’ written in purple. Those all mean play in various languages, there is another language as well but it’s an Asian language and I don’t even know how I would attempt to write that.

NVSP5

The first product we have is the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. This is a moisturizer that you can either wear on it’s own or under your foundation. Because this is infused with pearl particles it highlights as it hydrates. I’m wearing this right now and when I put it on I was surprised at how glowy it was. It smells nice, sunk in to my skin quickly and I can tell that I’m more glowy than usual. Overall I really like it.

NVSP1

Next we have the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30. You put this on after your serum and before your foundation. It’s supposed to give you sun protection, a good base to work with and because of the tiger grass, reduce any redness you have plus protect your skin from environmental aggressors. I’ve used one Dr. Jart+ product in the past and I did like it so we’ll see.

NVSP2

Moving on we have the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Mascara. This is a mascara that promises big, full lashes in one coat. The brush you get with this is an odd shape, it’s shaped like an S. I have tried Lancôme mascaras in the past, but the one I used I really didn’t like, the formula was too thick for my liking. But this one seems to be better. I will definitely let you guys know what I think.

NVSP3

NVSP4

The next product we have is the Nars Satin Lipstick in Tolede. This is a really pretty rosy pink shade with a satin finish. I’m wearing this today and I honestly love it. It’s really creamy, nicely pigmented and it has great staying power. I’ve been eating and drinking and it’s holding up really well. I would definitely recommend it.

NVSP6

NVSP7

NVSP8

The second to last product we have is the Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. This is a unique lip product, it’s a lip balm meets lipstick. So you get this nice plum lipstick color but with a lip balm texture. This swatched really nicely and the color is really pretty. I’ll definitely let you guys know what I think, I’ll probably post pictures on Instagram.

NVSP9

NVSP10

NVSP11

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. I have a bottle of this and I absolutely love it. It’s a slightly spicy and very warm scent. It has vanilla undertones and it’s very well balanced. If you haven’t smelled this and you get the chance definitely do, it’s so good.

NVSP12

NVSP13

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your November Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).
