Hi everyone,
I was looking through my Instagram the other day and saw three fun makeup looks that I did recently and I thought it would be fun to share with you guys how I did them. I’ve done a few posts similar to this in the past and I quite like them. A couple little notes before we start, I forgot to include them, but for all three looks I used the Too Faced Primed and Peachy Cooling Matte Skin Perfecting Primer and the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. And since I took these pictures I’ve switched foundation and concealer so those aren’t present in the pictures. And if you want an in depth look at some of the products I’m going to talk about I’ll leave links to corresponding posts below. With that being said, let’s get into it.
This first look was my New Years Eve look and I know I showed it in a January post, but I didn’t get in depth with it. This was the first time I had really played around with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette, and I’m still so happy with how it turned out.
Starting with my face, the first thing I did after putting on primer was put on my foundation, L’Oreal True Match super-blendable foundation in N2. Then I applied the matching True Match concealer in N 1-2-3, Fair/Light and in the spots I wanted more coverage, the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige and I made sure that was well blended with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. To top that off I applied the Kat Von D Beauty Lock-It Setting Powder in Translucent with an e.l.f. Powder Brush. When it came to my bronzer I used the one in the top right corner of the e.l.f. Blush Palette in Light and a Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. The blush I used is the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush, it’s definitely become one of my favorites, and I used a big fluffy brush to apply that. And the last thing I did was highlighter and for that I used the Tini Beauty Barfly Highlighter in Candlelit.
Now for the fun part, eyes. After applying the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base I went in with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and applied Birch and Dystopian in the crease and blended that out with a Skone Blending Brush. Then I applied Noir and blended. Once I was satisfied with that I used my L’Oreal True Match concealer, which I now only use for things like this, and applied Cyborg. It is worth saying that I did copy the eyeshadow part of this look from a picture on Pinterest. Next up was eyeliner and for that I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper and the mascara I used was Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir. I curled them and brushed them out. After that I took another shadow brush and applied Cyborg in inner corner of my eye and a little bit of Noir at the end. Then, taking an angled brush, I filled in my brows using Dystopian and I topped off the look by combining MDM Flow Retro and Anastasia Beverly Hills Crush. I was slightly unsure about combining them, but it created a nice color.
The second look we have is from Valentine’s Day and I really wanted to have fun with pinks.
For this look I used pretty much all of the same products on my face with the exception of the bronzer. And what I used this time is Warm My Heart from the Natural Beauty Palette and that’s from the Too Faced Best Year Ever makeup collection. It has a nice shimmer and gives you a summery glow.
I used two palettes for this look, Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry and ColourPop She. The first shadow I used is Bloom from the ABH palette and I applied that with the Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and blended it with the Skone Blending Brush. Then I used Missy from the ColourPop Palette, that is really pretty matte burgundy and blended that. I applied concealer then used Rose Quartz from the ABH palette. I topped that with the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner and used the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara in Ultra Black. I curled and brushed out my lashes and applied a little bit of Rose Quartz on the inner corner of my eye and a little bit of Missy at the end. I filled in my brows with Dystopian and topped off the look with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Crush.
And the third look I did on a random Saturday and was wanting to play with color.
For my face I used the same products that I used in the first look.
Even though this look is purples, I think it adds a lot when you use another color as a base. So the first thing I did was take my Bare Escentuals brush and put Bloom in the crease and blend it out with my Skone Blending Brush. Then I went to the ColourPop She palette and used Damsel, which is a really pretty matte violet shade and blended that. Next I applied concealer and applied Empress, which is a really pigmented, really pretty metallic purple. The liner I used is the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and I used the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara. After curling and brushing out my lashes I applied a little Empress on the inner corner of my eye and a little Damsel at the end. I filled in my brows with Dystopian and finished the look with the Model Co Illusion Lip Liner and Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Crush.
That about wraps it up for this post, like I mentioned, these are some of my favorite posts to do so look out for more in the future and I’d love to know which of these three looks is your favorite.
Until next time, have fun creating your looks and you can never take too many makeup pictures :).
