Summer 2019 Post Shower Moisturizing Routine

Hi everyone,

Today I’m doing something that I haven’t done before, and that’s sharing my post shower moisturizing routine for this summer. I have done quite a few seasonal skincare posts, but never expanded beyond my face, and I thought why not. With that being said, let’s get into it.

I have two routines, one for the morning, which is the one I do most often and the other for nighttime. So the first thing I do after I shower is moisturize my body, which in the past has not been my favorite, probably because of the lotions I was using. But a few months ago, in the winter Walmart beauty box, I got a travel size Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer and within the first two or three times of using it I was hooked. Because it’s a wet skin moisturizer you put it on right after you shower. It sinks in quickly, there’s no greasy feeling afterwards and you towel dry and continue on with your day. My skin loves it, it’s been so soft and smooth and I’m loving it. You can get this at any drugstore, it’s about the same price at all of them, and I believe you can get it on Amazon as well.

PSR1

My next step is to moisturize my feet. For the longest time this wasn’t something I did, I just didn’t think of it, but now that I’ve been doing it for a while I wouldn’t go back. For this I use the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing with Aloe. I use this during the winter as one of my hand lotions and it’s so good. It’s a little bit thicker but it sinks in pretty quickly and you don’t feel sticky or greasy after. Along with the aloe it has vitamins A, C and E. I just ran out of this, so I need to buy another and you can also get this lotion at any drugstore.

PSR2

After that I move on to my face and for that I’ve been using two products. The first is the Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow. I will pop this on before I put my makeup on, it has hyaluronic acid, glycerin as well as vitamins C and E. I really like this, it protects your skin from anything harsh in the environment while boosting the moisture that’s in your skin. It basically makes your skin really soft and smooth. The second product I use is the Ren Clean Skincare Global Protection Day Cream. I wear this on the days that I shower and don’t wear makeup. This has a ton of antioxidants, protects from UV damage, soothes the skin and has antiaging benefits. I’ve only been using this for a little while but I do like it. My skin definitely feels hydrated.

JUSP2

AUSP4

And my last step is my lips. Normally I pop on a little of my Vanilla Softlips before I do my makeup. But on the days I don’t wear makeup I use the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy in Dream. This smells really good, is very moisturizing and slightly plumping plus it gives you a nice light pink on the lips.

AF3

APB4

For my nighttime routine, I only change a few things. It’s still Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer first.

PSR1

Then the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing with Aloe.

PSR2

In the beginning of summer I was using the Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow at night as well. But now I’m using the Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen. I’ve been talking about this a lot lately but I absolutely love it and my skin loves it.

JUSP2

AUSP3

And for my lips I use the Vanilla Softlips pretty much every night but on the night where I want a little more I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla. It smells really good and it’s very hydrating.

AF3

JUSP5

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know the products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routines and you can never have too many skincare products :).

Summer Cocktails

Hi everyone,

We’re pretty much in the middle of summer, so I thought that today it would be fun to talk about some summer cocktails. I’ve been lucky that it hasn’t been too hot this summer, but whether it’s 100 degrees or 75 degrees, these drinks are the perfect mix of boozy and refreshing. So with that being said, let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is Frozen Peach Bellini’s. I think Bellini’s are perfect for spring and summer and freezing it makes them that much better. This recipe makes four drinks.

What You Need:

  • 3 cups of diced, fresh or frozen peaches
  • 1/12 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 3 cups of champagne, prosecco or your favorite sparkling wine

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take your blender and to that add your diced peaches, sugar and the ice cubes. Then blend until it’s smooth.
  • Next add in your wine and pulse that until it’s well combined.
  • Pour into your glasses and top with a peach slice.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next cocktail we have is Raspberry Vodka Mojito’s. I quite like Mojito’s and raspberry is one of my favorite fruits. This recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

Raspberry Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 6 ounces of fresh raspberries

Raspberry Vodka Mojito:

  • 1 lime cut into slices
  • 6 mint leaves with additional for garnish
  • 2 ounces of vodka
  • 4 ounces of lime seltzer or lime sparkling water
  • 3 to 4 raspberries for garnish

What You Do:

Raspberry Simple Syrup:

  • Take your saucepan and add the water, sugar and raspberries and place over high heat. Once you bring that to a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Remove that from the heat and let it cool. Then strain to remove raspberry seeds and let chill completely.

Raspberry Vodka Mojito:

  • Take your cocktail shaker and add half of the lime slices, the mint and muddle. Then add your vodka and fill with ice.
  • Shake for 2 to 3 minutes and strain into your glass.
  • To that add ice, 3 to 4 tablespoons of the raspberry simple syrup and top with seltzer/sparkling water.
  • Garnish with the remaining lime, raspberries and fresh mint.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The third cocktail we have is Watermelon Basil Margarita’s. Watermelon is pretty much the ultimate refreshing fruit and great in pretty much everything. This recipe makes two drinks.

What You Need:

  • 3/4 cup of cubed watermelon
  • 8 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of agave nectar
  • 3 tablespoons of triple sec
  • 3 tablespoons of fresh lime juice

For the rim:

  • 1/4 cup of turbinado sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

What You Do:

  • The first step is to take your cocktail shaker and add the watermelon, basil and a few ice cubes. Then muddle until the watermelon is well juiced and the basil is torn.
  • Once you’ve done that add the agave, triple sec, lime juice and fill with ice. Shake for 10 to 15 seconds.
  • To rim your glasses, rub with a lime wedge and dip into the sugar/chili mixture making sure they’re well coated.
  • Double strain into the freshly rimmed glasses and top with fresh ice.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The last cocktail we have is Strawberry Basil Moscow Mules. I love a good Moscow Mule and this one is perfect for summer. This recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 3 to 4 medium/large ripe strawberries. Hulled and quartered, with extra for garnish
  • 3 to 5 fresh chopped basil leaves, with extra for garnish
  • 1 1/2 to 3 ounces of vodka, depending how boozy you want it
  • The juice of 1 lime
  • Crushed ice
  • 2 to 3 ounces of chilled ginger beer

What You Do:

  • In your mug place the strawberries, basil, a splash of the ginger beer and muddle for 1-2 minutes. Then pour in the lime juice and vodka. Stir that and let it sit for a few minutes.
  • Fill your mug about 3/4 of the way up with the crushed ice, top with the chilled ginger beer and stir. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and fresh basil leaf.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these let me know which and how it turns out. And I’d love to know what your favorite cocktails are for summer.

Until next time, have fun making drinks and cheers to summer :).

Three Recent Makeup Looks, Summer 2019

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing one of my favorite styles of post and that’s showing you guys three of my recent makeup looks and how I achieved them. These range from May to July and are looks that I had a lot of fun with. There are a few things I want to mention quickly, when I was taking the pictures there were a few things that I forgot to include. For every look I used the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Smoothing Primer and the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. And I finished the first and third look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and I finished the second look with the Supergoop Defense Refresh Setting Mist Broad Spectrum SPF 50, I used that because I was outside all day, it was sunny, and I wanted a little SPF. With that being said, let’s get into it.

So the first look is from May, there was a stretch of a week or so where the weather was amazing and I wanted a fun glowy look to match. So for my face, once I primed, I went in with my foundation which is the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory. Then I used the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory to highlight under my eyes and a few other places. I’ve been using 5 and 10 together but my skin has been so good recently I’ve been using one or the other. And to top that off I used the Kat Von D Beauty Lock-It Setting Powder in Translucent. I put it all over my face, but I always pack a little extra under my eyes to do a little baking.

RML1

For the rest of my face, the first thing I used is my current favorite bronzer, the Nars bronzing powder in Laguna. This is so pretty and when it hits the light it has a beautiful glow. Then I used the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose Gold blush. This is a blush I like a lot because it’s the perfect pinky/peachy shade for any time of year and it has a rose gold sparkle to it. And I finished it off with the Too Faced Dashing Through The Glow highlighter. This is from the Super Fun Night palette and there’s not that much of it left. It’s a really nice champagne shade and it blends really nicely. I’m in the market for new highlighters so let me know the ones that you guys are loving.

RML2

RML3

Moving on to eyes, after I primed, because I wanted a glowy look I went with golds and the first that I used is the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rose Gold and I put it all over the lid. I really like the Caviar Sticks, they’re pretty versatile, nicely pigmented and I like the way they blend. Then I went into the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette and used Steampunk and Cinder in the crease and the outer lid and blended until I was happy with the look. I then took Steampunk and put in on my lower lash line to bring the look together. I used a little Dashing Through The Glow to highlight under my brow bone and filled in my brows using Dystopian. I then used my trusty Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. Lipstick wise I used the LOC Color Me Confident Vibrant Matte Lipstick, which is one of my favorite reds.

RML4

RML5

RML15

Moving on, the second look we have is from the 4th of July. I always try to be patriotic with my makeup on the 4th and I’m happy with the way this one came out. And overall, even though it was different to how my typical 4th would look it was such a fun day. This is when I used the Supergoop Setting Mist which kept my face protected, I didn’t feel sticky which sometimes can happen with an SPF, and my makeup stayed in place. For my face I used the same base as the first look.

RML1

For the rest of my face I used the Nars bronzing powder in Laguna, the Seraphine Botanicals blush and for my highlight I used the Tini Beauty Barfly Highlighter in Candlelit. I like this one because it’s a really nice pinky shade that is so gorgeous when light hits it you get a lovely glow.

RML6

RML7

For my eyes, after priming, I went into the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette and first used Twig in the crease and then Slate a little bit lower and blended. Then I went into the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and used Smolder on the outer corner, blending and bringing it in a little bit. I then went back to the ABH palette and used Cyborg on the rest of the lid and blended a little. For my liner I used Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner and the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. And I topped it off with the LOC Color Me Confident Vibrant Matte Lipstick.

RML8

RML9

RML16

And the third look we have is from the other day. It was a rainy day and I wanted to have fun with color and create something vibrant. For my face I used the same base as the previous looks.

RML1

For the rest of my face I used the Nars bronzing powder in Laguna, then I switched it up for my blush. I placed an order at Sephora recently and one of the samples I selected was some Buxom Wanderlust blushes because I’ve never tried them. What I ended up doing was mixing them and they created a really nice color. What I used was Dolly, which is a mauve and Mykonos, which is a peachy shade. And for my highlight I used Dashing Through The Glow.

RML10

RML11

For my eyes, after priming, I went into the Colourpop She palette and used Dear in the crease and a little bit lower. Then I went with Missy in the outer corner, making sure to blend and bringing it in a little bit. Then I used Babe on the rest of the lid, blending a little and because I wanted a bit more sparkle I went into the ABH Sultry palette and put a little bit of Pearl on top of Babe. Then I used the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner and the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. For my lipstick I took two matte liquid lipsticks, Anastasia Beverly Hills Crush and MDMFlow Retro and mixed them together, which I’ve done before and it creates a really pretty pinky shade. And I topped that with the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Lip Gloss for a little sparkle/shine and some plumping. What I like about this lip plumper is you can feel and see it working but it’s not so crazy to where it feels like your lips are going to fall off.

RML18

RML13

RML14

RML17

That about wraps it up for this post, like I mentioned, these are some of my favorite posts to write so look out for more in the future and I’d love to know which of the three looks is your favorite. And I am going to link everything that I could find below.

Until next time, have fun creating your looks and you can never take too many makeup of the day pictures :).

Summer skincare routine

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing my summer skincare routine, I did one of these during the winter and I enjoyed it so I figured I would do another. If you never read the winter one, I will link it down below. Before I get into this I’m going to be completely honest with you guys, I spent time yesterday taking some photos for this and it was great. I had the perfect lighting and I was really excited to post these pictures. However, when I went to look at the pictures on my laptop they were gone. I don’t know what happened or how it happened, but I’m not thrilled with it, so I’ll be using the existing pictures I have of these products. But if at any point in the future I’m able to recover the photos I will come back and insert them. I will be linking all the products down below, and with that said, let’s get into it.

I’ve been using a few different products this summer. Because I do subscribe to Sephora Play, I’m always getting new products and incorporating them into my routine, so I now have two routines that I switch between. At the very start of the summer, this is what it looked like. To take off my makeup I would use the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. One pump of this goes into my hand and I rub my hands together until it gets foamy then I put it on my face. I’ve been able to get away with just using this and not a secondary cleanser because I haven’t been wearing as much makeup/ not as heavy coverage wise, this summer.

JLGB9

The next thing I do is take the Caudalie Vine Activ Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum and put a couple drops of that into my moisturizer, which is the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. On it’s own the Moisturizing Sorbet is amazing and I absolutely love it, but the addition of the Serum gives your skin that extra boost.

SSK1

JLGB4

And the final thing I do is take my favorite eye cream, the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb and apply that. It really is one of the best eye creams I’ve ever used.

FSP3

The last thing I do is put something on my lips. I have three products that I use and I rotate through them. I’ll put all the pictures in the second routine so it’s not to repetitive.

The second routine I have is to start I’ve been using the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. I really like this because it has a gentle formula and it doesn’t sting or irritate my skin and to apply I put this on a cotton pad.

JNSP4

Then to remove the rest of my makeup, I’ll use the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel.

JLGB9

The next thing I do is use the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence. I put this on a cotton pad and rub it over my entire face and it removes your dead skin cells so whatever serums and moisturizers you’re using can really sink in and do what they’re supposed to do. And since getting this, I use it with my other routine to complete the Caudalie trifecta.

JSP5

Next I use the Murad Nutrient Charged Water Gel to moisturize my face and I honestly love this. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly moisturized.

JNSP3

The second to last thing I do is apply the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb.

FSP3

And the last thing I do, is put something on my lips. I rotate between Vanilla Softlips, SKYN Iceland Berry Lip Fix with Wintered Red Algae and Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. I wear a lot of lipsticks and other lip products, so I’ve always taken extra steps to make sure I moisturize my lips. I’ve been using Vanilla Softlips for ages and it never does me wrong, plus it has an SPF in it. The SKYN Iceland Berry Lip Fix is a favorite of mine from the winter and it does a great job of preventing lips cracking and it was great when I got sunburnt. And the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask is a product I love to pieces and I’ve loved for a while. It makes my lips feel so smooth and hydrated.

AF3

NGB3

JSP4

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys use any of the same products in your summer skincare routine let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, you can never have too many skincare products and I hope you’re having a great summer :).

A look into my shoe closet: Sandals and flip flops

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing a look into my shoe closet, sandals and flip flops edition. I did something similar to this a while ago with a look into my makeup collection and really liked it so I thought I would do another one. Being that we are in the heart of summer and these are the shoes I’m grabbing the most, I figured it was the perfect time to do this. If I can find links to any of these shoes I will put it down below.

Starting sandals, we have the Desii Flat Sandal from Shoe Dazzle. I’ve been looking for a good gladiator sandal for a while and when I came across these I was quite happy. What originally drew me to these opposed to other pairs was that it was laced with ribbon, I thought it was a great touch. Now I’ve only worn these twice since I bought them and while they are super cute and actually pretty comfortable, they take a minute to put on but once you’ve put them on a few times it’s not so bad. I bought these in black and I love the gold hardware but these do come in two other colors, taupe and blush and I might actually go back and buy the taupe because they are super cute and like the black, they’ll go with most outfits.

SS1

SS2

SS3

SS4

SS5

Next is a pair of Simply Vera Vera Wang sandals. These are gray and have three gray stones and silver hardware. They’re great for when you need to slip on something quick, but want a step up from a flip flop.

SS6

SS7

The second to last sandal is one I think I’ve talked about before, a while ago, and these are white with white and silver flowers.

SS8

SS9

The last sandal we have are flowered and I bought in two colors, silver and gold, because they are insanely comfortable and you can’t go wrong with adding a little extra color to an outfit. These are from Kohls, like the shoes above.

SS10

SS11

SS12

SS13

Moving on to the flip flop section of this post, the first pair I talked about in my Summer and Other Bits Haul post, they’re white with black polka dots and they are from Forever 21. These also come in black and red.

SS14

The next pair are gold with a gold glitter on the top and they are from Target. I will admit that I am not an active Target shopper, I’ve bought throw pillows and little things there, but that’s about it. Although after finding these, I might be doing more shopping at Target.

SS15

Now to Old Navy, I love Old Navy flip flops I find them to be super comfortable and they have a great selection of colors. That being said, this first group isn’t very colorful but I always like to have the basic colors. These I’ve had since last summer and these are the ones I just grab if I’m going to the store or running errands. I also have a green pair that are my outside work flip flops and I didn’t include them because they’re dirty.

SS16

This next group I bought this summer, because who doesn’t love a flip flop sale, and I wanted a little more color. Plus I needed another black pair, black is my go to and they’re starting to wear down a little.

SS17

That about wraps it up for this post, I really like doing posts like this so look out for more in the future. And I’d love to know, are you a sandal person or a flip flop person? Or do you like both or neither?

Until next time, you can never have too many summer shoe options and I hope you’re all having a great summer :).

Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Summer 2017

Hi everyone,

Today, as summer is pretty much over, I wanted to share three of my favorite outfits and makeup looks from summer 2017. I’ve done a couple of these previously and I really enjoy them. So the first look is from July and I’m still so in love with it, I don’t know where the shorts are from as they were a gift but the necklace I bought at Forever 21 ages ago.

Ootds1

Ootds4

So, starting with my face and after going through my morning routine, I started with my foundation, which I am out of but I’m going on a little shop tomorrow to pick up another, I use the L’Oreal Paris true match super-blendable foundation in the shade N2, Classic Ivory. To go with that I use the matching L’Oreal true match concealer in N 1-2-3, Fair/Light and I top that with the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer and use an e.l.f. powder brush to apply. I’m almost out of that too, but I ordered the Tarte Amazonian Clay finishing powder so I’ll let you know what I think of that. As for my bronzer I use the bronzer in the e.l.f. blush palette in light and the blush I used is the blush from the palette on the right in the bottom left corner. And finishing off my face I use the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin, still my favorite highlighter definitely recommend it and I apply that with the e.l.f. fan brush.

Ootds6

Moving on to eyes, I went to one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, the e.l.f. Everyday Smoky palette. I used the two brown shades in the middle, I applied the lighter brown with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and blended the darker brown with the Skone blending brush and used another brush to apply a light shimmer, third from the left, to the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. Mascara wise I used my trusty Maybelline Falsies Volum Express and Maybelline Great Lash and using an angle brush, I filled in my brows using Too Faced Up in Smoke. And I finished the look with a Too Faced Melted Matte lipstick, which are some of my favorite lipsticks, in the shade Queen B.

My second look is from July 4th and I always love doing a festive look.

Face wise I kept everything the same as my last look.

For my eyes I used Smolder from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and blended it out and used White Lie in the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is one of my favorites, I’ve talked about it many times, and it’s the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a Brush Tip. The Falsies and Great Lash for my lashes and Up in Smoke for my brows. And of course I had to do a red lip, so I used the Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. This is hands down one of my favorite red lipsticks.

And my last look is actually from yesterday and not technically an OOTD. But I was wearing dark skinny jeans and a Ramones shirt.

For this look I did use a couple of different products. In addition to my normal concealer I used the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige, this gives great coverage and I definitely recommend it, and I apply that with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. I also used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. It’s a great size and it’s one of the softest brushes I own. And the final thing I changed was my blush. This time I used the Balm, Balm Springs blush in the shade In Full Swing.

This look is something I don’t normally do and I didn’t know how it would look on me but I ended up really liking it and I already know a couple of things I want to do different next time to enhance it. For this I used the Hikari Cosmetics cream pigment in Honey Dew. I had used this as a highlight shade but not as a base, but it’s very pigmented and the color payoff is great. I then used White Lie on the inner corner and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. The Falsies and Great Lash on my lashes and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème in 246, Slow Burn. I really like the formulation of the Marc Jacobs lipsticks and they last, which is a major plus.

That about wraps it up for this post. Like I said, I really enjoy doing these posts so I’ll probably do another for fall.

Until next time, take as many OOTD pictures as possible and have fun with your looks :).

Summer reading list 2017

Hi everyone,

This week I wanted to talk about something I haven’t talked about in a while and that’s books and reading. Ever since I could read I’ve been a huge bookworm. I don’t have as much time to read as I used to but when I do get time I go all in. Basically I put together a list of books that I wanted to have for this summer and hopefully I could get around to reading at least two and if not I can always read them later and with so many amazing books out and coming out right now it was hard to choose. But I did manage to pick my top four. I will leave links down below for each book if you find yourself wanting a new read.

The first book is Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly. This book was turned into a movie, which I heard was absolutely amazing but I haven’t watched yet. I might just be a weirdo, but if I can help it I like to read the book first before watching the movie. But if you’re not familiar with either it’s about the untold story of the African American women who took part in some of NASA’s biggest successes. This is the book I’m currently reading, I started it on Saturday and I’m loving it so far. This is something I never knew about and being the history nerd that I am, I’m so fascinated by it.

The next book is also space related and it’s Astronaut Wives Club by Lily Koppel. Astronaut Wives Club is about the wives of the Mercury Seven astronauts and their lives. I think I was so intrigued by it because I didn’t think about what it would have been like to be an astronaut’s wife, especially back then. There were so many unknowns and it was a risk to go to space, or attempt to go to space and I think these women were extraordinarily strong. This book was turned into a show on ABC, with the same name, in 2015 and I loved it. I understand why it only was one season, but I wish it would’ve lasted longer.

The third book is Can I Speak to Someone in Charge by Emily Clarkson. This book actually just came out, but I can’t wait to read it. It’s about Emily essentially writing a series of open letters on various different topics. I’ve been reading her blog Pretty Normal Me for a while, and I think it’s great. She has great wit and she isn’t afraid to talk about anything. Her dad is Grand Tour presenter Jeremy Clarkson, who I love and find hilarious, and I find the two of them to be similar so if you like him definitely check her out.

And finally, this isn’t new, but one thing I’ve been wanting to do for a while is reread Harry Potter, so I bought this box set of all the Harry Potter books. It’s been absolute ages since I’ve sat down and read them and I’m excited to do so.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys are reading or have read any of these books let me know and let me know what’s on your reading list this summer.

Until next time, enjoy your books and happy reading :).

Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Spring 2017

Hi everyone,

This week I wanted to do something I did last summer and really enjoyed. And that’s going through three of my recent outfits and makeup looks. I said that I may do one in the winter, but I totally forgot, and here we are. I went through my recent Instagram’s and picked the ones I liked best and I think the oldest is from April, so these are recent. And if you don’t follow me on Instagram, it will be below like always. So starting with the first one, this one is the one from April, so it was still a bit cold and rainy, and I wanted a fun look.

Starting with my face, after I did my morning routine and prepped it, I started with my foundation. I’m still using and still loving the L’Oreal true match super-blendable foundation and I’m the shade N2, Classic Ivory. For my concealer I use the matching true match concealer in N 1-2-3 Fair/ Light. Next I use the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer on my whole face and apply with an e.l.f. powder brush. As for bronzer I used the e.l.f. Blush Palette in light, as you can see I ran out of it in the original palette, so I did buy another one and I use an angled contour brush. And finally for blush I use the same e.l.f Blush Palette and I use the blush in the bottom left corner (palette on the right) with a big fluffy brush. And finally for my highlight I used the Manna Kadar 3 in 1 highlighter/ bronzer/ eyeshadow in Fantasy and to apply that I use the e.l.f. fan brush. If you don’t own a fan brush I definitely recommend getting one.

Moving on to eyes, for my shadow I used a Hikari Cream Pigment in Latte and a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush to apply and blend. In the  inner corner of my eye and under my eyebrow I used White Lie from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette, then I used Maybelline Expert Wear in Velvet Black eyeliner. When it comes to my mascara I still use two, first I use the Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express, it has a slightly curved brush, which I love, then I use my eyelash curler and on top of that I use the Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes. I’ve been using that on my bottom lashes as well. And finally I comb out my lashes making sure there’s no clumps. The second to last thing I do is fill in my brows. I brush them out, then with and angled brush I fill them in using Up in Smoke from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette. It’s pretty much the perfect match for my brows, a nice ashy brown. And the last thing I do is my lips. For this look I used the NYX Butter Lipstick in Ripe Berry.  And I finished it with a top knot.

The second look is less of an OOTD, but I really like this look. In the interest of fair reporting I was wearing a Mariners shirt and blue skinny jeans.

For my face I used the same products, but changed my highlighter to the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin. This highlighter is amazing, I definitely recommend it.

Ootd2b

For my eyes I used In a Flash from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and White Lie in the inner corner and under my eyebrow. The EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip, if you’re looking for a liquid eyeliner this is a great one. The Falsies and Great Lash for my mascara, Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb. And a braided, side ponytail to finish.

And my last look is from Monday. The weather has been gorgeous lately, so I went with a summer dress. I forgot how much I like wearing summer dresses.

Ootd3

Ootd3a

I pretty much kept my face as the last look for this one.

Ootd3b

This look I like a lot, for my eyes I used both colors in the Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense eyeshadow duo in Electric. I used the rose gold one as the base and blended in a tiny bit of the gold. In the inner corner and under my eyebrow I used the Hikari Cream Pigment in Honey Dew, it’s a gorgeous sparkly pink. Eyeliner was the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. The Falsies and Great Lash mascara. Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and finally for lips I used the Cake Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. And a top knot to finish off the look.

That about wraps it up for this post, I’ll probably do another one of these come summer because I really enjoy them.

Until next time, enjoy your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).
