Sephora Favorites Holiday Lip Kit Review

Hi everyone,

Since we’re in that weird time between Christmas and New Years and no one has any idea what day it is, I thought that this would be the perfect time for a new post. I have a fun one today, and we’re going to be going through the Sephora Favorites Holiday Lip Kit. Every year Sephora brings out a new version of this kit, and I think it’s great. I don’t always love them, but this one went on my wishlist as soon as it came out.

This kit has seven lip products that include lipstick, lip shine, glossy lip balm and lip plumper. Two of the seven are full size.

The first product we’re going to start with is the Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Glossy Lip Balm in Nearly Neutral. This is one is full size. This is what I would call medium brown, almost chocolate, in color. When I swatched it it didn’t seem to be overly sticky and even though it’s a glossy lip balm, it doesn’t seem to be too sheer. You definitely get some decent color payoff. I also really like the packaging on this. Most tubes of lip gloss are just that, round tubes that roll everywhere, but this one is flat on the back and I really like little details like that.

Next up we have the second full size product, the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. You guys already know, this lipstick is iconic. The hold that it has on the beauty world is absolutely justified, it’s an incredible lipstick. Goes on smooth, lasts all day and the color is perfect. Plus, the packaging is just beautiful. Pillow Talk will forever be part of my makeup collection.

Moving on we have the Nars Afterglow Lip Shine in Orgasm. This is a high shine, hydrating lip gloss that claims it lasts for up to eight hours (which I can confirm, because I’ve already worn it). This is in the shade Orgasm, which is the iconic Nars shade name and color and in this application it’s a very pretty peachy pink with gold shimmer. I really like this, definitely recommend if you’re looking for a really good lip gloss for your collection.

The fourth product we have is the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumper in Clear. This is also an iconic lip product, this plumper is the go to for a lot of people, including myself, and has been for ages. This has a high shine finish and is actually pretty hydrating.

Next up we have the Urban Decay Vice Hydrating Lipstick in Backtalk. This is a hydrating, long wearing lipstick in a very pretty mauve/nude pink shade. I’m wearing this today and I’m really liking it. It went on super smooth and it’s very pigmented. I definitely recommend if you haven’t given this lipstick a try. It’s also on sale right now at Sephora and they still have a few good shades left, including this one.

The second to last lipstick we have is the GVXE Anaheim Shine High Performance Satin Lipstick in Original Recipe. For anyone that doesn’t know, GVXE is Gwen Stefani’s makeup line. It made a lot of sense to me why this was in this kit when I saw the color because it’s a true red, and beauty wise, one of the things she’s known for is wearing a red lip. And I can honestly say, based on the swatch, that this is a really good red lipstick. It is high shine, which isn’t typically where I lean for a red, but the color is so nice that it’s piqued my interest and I’m excited to wear it.

And the last lip product we have is the Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick in Vendetta. This lipstick calls itself lightweight and richly pigmented with a modern matte finish. I haven’t worn this yet so I can’t comment on the weight of it, but just from the one swipe swatch I did, I can tell you it’s incredibly pigmented. It’s dark red in color and so pretty. It’s that kind of dark red that is starting to lean into berry but still maintains being red and I’m excited to try it out.

That about wraps it up for this post, I’m excited to wear all of these and I’ll let you guys know what I think when I do!

Until next time, I hope you’ve having a great holiday and I’ll see you in January :).

Sephora Favorites Lashstash To Go Review

Hi everyone,

Today I have a fun post for you. I’m going to be giving you an in depth look at the Sephora Favorites Lashstash To Go. I have the full size version of this, I talked about it a few months ago but I will leave a link to that post down below. I was looking through the Sephora app when I saw this and instantly thought it would not only make a great gift but if you’re wanting a new mascara but are unsure of what to get, this gives you five great mini mascaras to try out. I like the packaging on this, the container is in a sleeve that has a picture of all of the mascaras. The actual container is gold metal box, which I think is perfect for travel. When you open it there’s a card that on the front talks about the mascaras and on the back is a voucher. You select which mascara of the five is your favorite and you take it to Sephora to be redeemed, meaning you get a full size of that product. And under that card is the mascaras all lined up.

SFM2

SFM3

SFM4

So the first mascara we have is Urban Decay Perversion in Black. This is such a great mascara, it gives your lashes volume and length and it doesn’t clump. The brush is big and fluffy and it does a great job of coating all your lashes.

SFM5

SFM6

Next we have Too Faced Better Than Sex in Black. This is a holy grail mascara for a lot of people, it’s one of my personal favorites, and it’s a mascara that I always recommend. This has a really nice formula and the brush is like an hourglass shape so it gets in there and hits every lash. And for me every time I use it I get big, full, ooo look at that lashes.

SFM7

SFM8

Moving on we have the Milk Makeup Kush Mascara in Boom. So I have a love hate relationship with this mascara. When I tried it the first time I hadn’t tried anything from Milk Makeup and I know a lot of people love them as a brand. This mascara is said to give you high volume which for me it did and I appreciate that and you get a pretty big brush which is great. The problem for me came with the formulation, it’s not my favorite because I did experience some transfer but it’s not the worst mascara I’ve ever used. And it didn’t clump.

SFM9

SFM10

SFM11

Second to last we have a mascara that I have yet to try and that’s the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes, 4-in-1 Mascara in Black. I have heard really great things about this and I quite like Tarte, so I’m excited to try it out. It’s supposed to condition, lengthen, volumize and curl your lashes. And the brush is supposed to be really great. So I’ll let you guys know what I think.

SFM12

SFM13

And the last mascara we have is the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara in Ultra Black. I’m actually wearing this today and it’s just so good. This makes my lashes really nice and full. This is a mascara that you could get away with wearing one coat of, but if you’re like me and just never do that, it’s very buildable. And it doesn’t feel heavy at all. This brush is tapered at the end and I find it really convenient when doing my bottom lashes.

SFM14

SFM15

SFM16

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have tried this box, I’d love to know which one is your favorite.

Until next time, may your lashes always be full and you can never have too many mascaras :).

January Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of the month I’m going to be doing my January favorites. For me this month was busy but also about 74 years long. But we made it, congrats everyone. This month I had a pretty good mix of things that I loved, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, my first favorite is the Verb  Ghost Oil. I got this in my December Sephora Play Box and was instantly intrigued. It not only gives heat protection, but it helps with getting rid of frizz. I’m not even kidding, I think it doubled my hairs softness. I definitely recommend it.

DSP3

My second beauty favorite is a concealer and it’s the Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in 03 Fondant. I got this as a sample with a recent Sephora purchase and I’ve been loving it. It’s doesn’t feel heavy on and it’s very buildable. This shade is always out of stock on the Sephora website, so I’m going to pick one up at Sephora. But if you’re looking for a new concealer I would say try this one.

My second to last favorite is two mascaras. For my birthday, one of the things I got was the Sephora Favorites Lashstash and I’ll leave a link down below if you haven’t read it. It’s a set of ten mascaras, two of which are full size. And in the recent weeks I’ve been really loving two of them. The first is the Urban Decay Perversion Bigger, Blacker, Badder in Black. This mascara has a big and fluffy-ish brush and it gives my lashes length and a lot of volume.

sfl5

sfl6

My second favorite mascara is the Benefit BAD gal BANG! Mascara in Black. This 100% lived up to all of the hype. This gives you insane volume and length, I’m really impressed. It has a long, skinny silicone brush and it has a lot of flex in it so you really get all of your lashes.

sfl26

sfl27

My last beauty favorite is Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelette Singles. You guys have seen my nightly routine, so you know I pretty much never use makeup wipes to take off my makeup. And if I do it’s because I’m really tired and just can’t be bothered to do my whole routine. But I keep these in my handbag, my makeup bag and I love these for when I swatch. They take everything off the first time and they don’t leave a ton of liquid behind so you have to rinse after using them.

jnf4

jnf3

Moving on, I have a food favorite and it’s the Lotus Biscoff & Go Cookie Butter and Breadsticks. I am a lover of Biscoff, it’s my favorite cookie butter and the actual Biscoff cookies are delicious. I will throw one of these in my handbag along with a granola bar of some sort as a snack and call it good. They’re the perfect little snack and not overly sweet. If you haven’t tried them or the Biscoff cookies, I highly recommend them.

jnf1

Next, I have two kind of random favorites. The first is IMSA. You guys know how much I love the IMSA series and they just kicked off their season with the 24 Hours of Daytona. It was a great race with cautions and a ridiculous amount of rain that resulted in two red flags, one of which ended the race early. I can’t wait for the rest of the season, I can tell it’s going to be a good one.

And my second random favorite is organization. A few weeks ago I decided to reorganize my makeup collection and to do that I needed bigger storage, which I was able to find and since doing that I’ve been super happy with it. And I decided, come spring I’m going to be doing some bigger projects.

Finally, I have a couple of music favorites, two Robbie Williams songs. The first is I just Want People To Like Me and the second is Gold. These are from the upcoming album Under The Radar Vol 3, which comes out on February 14th. The thing about Robbie Williams is he can do any genre and it’s still undeniably him. I Just Want People To Like Me is more pop and Gold is what I would call 80’s style. These are both such good songs, and I can’t wait to hear the whole album.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your January favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you all had a great January :).

Sephora Favorites Lashstash Review

Hi everyone,

Today I have a fun post for you, it was my birthday last Friday and one of the presents I received was the Sephora Favorites Lashstash. This is a set of ten mascaras, two of which are full size. I love trying different mascaras, so this was a great gift. I really like this packaging, the box is in a sleeve that has a picture of all of the mascaras and a description of them on the back. Once you take that off you see a nice pinky purple box with what I would describe as up close images of glitter and sparkles. On the inside it says Love, Sephora #sephorafavorites and all the mascaras are lined up.

sfl1

sfl2

sfl3

sfl4

The first mascara we have is full size and it’s the Urban Decay Perversion Bigger, Blacker, Badder in Black. I haven’t tried all of them yet, but this one I have worn and I quite like it. Prior to this I hadn’t worn Urban Decay mascara, so I was excited to try it. It not only gave my lashes volume, but they looked longer and it went on really smooth. The brush is more of a big and fluffy-ish brush and when I saw it I expected there would be some clumping but there really wasn’t.

sfl5

sfl6

The second mascara we have is the Milk Makeup Kush Mascara in Boom. I am a Milk Makeup newbie, I haven’t tried any of their products. So I’m interested to try this and see what it does for my lashes, I have heard good things. And this is supposed to give you long lasting high volume.

sfl7

sfl8

Next we have the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara in Ultra Black. As a brand, I really like Hourglass. Their Ambient Lighting Powders are incredible and their foundation sticks are really nice. So, when I saw this mascara I was excited by it. I have worn this and it gave me really nice, full lashes. One coat probably would have done it, but I never do just one coat, and I was happily surprised at not only how buildable this is, but at how light it felt after layering. And this brush is cool in the fact that the end isn’t pointed, I guess I would call it tapered, and I was able to get all of my lashes successfully.

sfl9

sfl10

sfl11

Moving on, we have the Smashbox Super Fan Fanned-Out Mascara in Black. This is the first mascara that I tried when I got this box and it definitely does what it says on the tin. My lashes were lengthened and fanned out and I really liked the look. This has a silicone brush and it’s a 360 design, so no matter how you turn it, you’re getting the mascara. I know some people don’t like the silicone brushes, but I’ve never had a problem and this one is nice, the bristles are the perfect length.

sfl12

sfl13

There are three mascaras in this box that I use regularly and love, and this is one of them. It’s the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara in Black. This mascara really does give you big volume and it has jojoba oil so it doesn’t flake or clump. The brush is curved in the middle so you get maximum coverage.

sfl14

sfl15

The next mascara that I use and love has been my go-to holy grail mascara forever and it’s Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I always get full, defined and luscious lashes and this has a permanent spot in my makeup bag.

sfl16

sfl17

Moving on, we have the second full size mascara, Lancôme Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara in 01 Excessive Black. I’ve never worn a Lancôme mascara before, but I was intrigued by this one. The brush has a pretty serious curve in it and it’s supposed to give you big lashes in one coat, so I’ll let you guys know what I think.

sfl18

sfl19

sfl20

The third mascara that I use and love is the Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir. You really do get major volume from this and it has a nice big brush.

sfl21

sfl22

The second to last mascara isn’t a mascara, it’s the Dior Diorshow Maximizer 3D/ Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer. I’ve never worn a lash primer, but my mom really likes them, so I’ll give this a try and see what I think.

sfl24

sfl23

sfl25

And the last mascara we have is the Benefit BAD gal BANG! Mascara in Black. There was a lot of hype when this came out and now I fully understand why. The length and volume you get from this is insane. I was really impressed and this will for sure have a place in my makeup bag. The brush is a long, skinnier silicone brush that has a lot of flex in it, so you can get all of your lashes.

sfl26

sfl27

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have tried/use any of these regularly let me know which one and if you have this box, I’d love to know which is your favorite.

Until next time, you can never have too many mascaras and may your lashes always be full :).

Sephora Favorites The New Neutrals Review

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be going through the Sephora Favorites The New Neutrals lipstick box with you guys. This is one of the things that I got for Christmas and since then I’ve worn a few of the lipsticks and I’m loving them. So, I thought it would be fun to talk about and show you guys what you get in this box. I don’t know if you can still get this at Sephora, if I can find a link I’ll put it down below and if not I’ll put the links to the individual lipsticks.

nn1

Within this box you get five lipsticks, one of which is full size and the range of brands is quite nice.

nn2

The first one we have is the full size and it’s the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Crush. This is one that I’ve worn and I really like it. It feels light on the lips, the formulation is great, it’s really long lasting and it smells good. Color wise, it’s a peachy nude and I would definitely recommend this. It’s really pretty.

nn3

nn8

The second lipstick we have is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Crush. I wore this on New Years Eve, I mixed it with MDM Flow Retro and I really liked how it came out. This is a matte lipstick and it’s in a  pinky beige shade. This is the first time I’ve worn one of the Anastasia Beverly Hills lipsticks and I’ll definitely be buying more.

nn4

nn9

Next we have the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme. This is a plumping lip gloss that’s clear with a pinky blue shine. I haven’t worn this yet, but I’ve heard really good things, so I’m excited to try it. Plus it smells really good.

nn5

The second to last lipstick we have is the Kat Von D Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ludwig. I’m a fan of Kat Von D Beauty, so I’m always excited to try out one of her products. This a matte lipstick, that I haven’t worn yet, but from the swatch I did I can tell it’s highly pigmented and it went on really smooth. This is a nudey brown in color and I know this comes in a bunch of other colors, so I’m sure I’ll be trying some of those as well.

nn6

nn10

And the last lipstick we have is the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Color Splash Lipstick in Salt Lyfe. This I have worn and I really like it, I have two other lipsticks from this collection, so I knew I would like it. These lipsticks are really pigmented and moisturizing. This one in particular is a pinky brown and has a purple undertone. It’s really nice on.

nn7

nn11

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have tried this box or any of these lipsticks, I’d love to know what your favorite is.

Until next time, do you prefer matte or glossy and you can never have too many lipsticks :).
