2023 Sephora Birthday Gift Review

Hi everyone,

It’s that time again, today I have for you a review of the 2023 Sephora Birthday Gift and not only that, but all of the options that you can choose from this year when your birthday comes around.

So, starting with what I got, I had a more difficult time picking this year, because I liked pretty much everything, but what I selected is the Ouai “The Ouai of Life” Set.

Packaging wise, it has the classic Sephora black polka dots, and on the front is has a gold ribbon, to give it the birthday feel.

On the top of the box it says ‘Happy Birthday’ in light pink. Under that it says ‘Joyeux Anniversaire’ which is Happy Birthday in French and below that it says, ‘Turn It All The Ouai Up!’

So, getting into it. This is a four piece set, which is the most out of all the sets and this set, unless I say otherwise, is available for all Sephora Beauty Insiders. It comes with a detox shampoo, a leave in conditioner, a body cleanser and a perfume.

First up, we have the Leave In Conditioner. This calls itself a multitasking product that will work all day to detangle, soften and smooth your hair. All while protecting against heat/other damage and reducing frizz and flyaways.

Next up we have the Detox Shampoo. This shampoo is made with apple cider vinegar and thus concentrated. It’s supposed to deeply cleanse away oil, dirt and any product buildup. It also has keratin, so while it’s detoxing, it’s helping to strengthen your hair.

The second to last product we have is the St. Bart’s Body Cleanser. This cleanser is exclusive to Sephora. It’s infused with the St. Bart’s scent, so it has notes of dragon fruit, orange blossom, tuberose and Baltic amber. It’s not the typical scent I would go for in a cleanser, but it smells pretty good and definitely has vacation vibes, which is great right now in the middle of winter.

And the last product we have is the Melrose Place Eau de parfum. This describes itself as a velvety rich rose fragrance with notes of bergamot, lychee, cedar wood and white musk. I really struggle with rose sometimes, it either has the perfect balance or it’s just so overpowering, so I was nervous to spray this. However, all of the other scents balance it so well, that it’s not overly rose, in fact it reminds me of another perfume, but it’s definitely a scent I would and will wear.

So, there are four other options you can have that are open to all Sephora Beauty Insiders. The first is the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Skincare Set. With this set you get the Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops. This is a multiuse highlighting serum that visibly reduces the look of hyperpigmentation and hydrates the skin for a reflective, dewy glow. You also get the Watermelon Glow Pore Tight Toner. This is a gentle PHA and BHA infused watermelon toner that minimizes the appearance of pores and hydrates the skin.

Next we have the ILIA Makeup Set. For those that don’t know, ILIA are a clean brand, and I know a lot of people look for that in a makeup brand. This set includes the Limitless Lash Mascara in After Midnight. This mascara is supposed to lift, lengthen, curl and separate lashes without smudging or flaking. You also get the Multi-Stick in At Last which is a mauve rose color. The multi-stick is for cheeks and lips and gives you a buildable wash of color.

Next, you can select 250 Bonus Points. This is a great option for those who like to spend their points on the regular or are saving them up for a specific product because it adds an additional 250 points to your Beauty Insider account.

And the last of the available to all, is the Dior Fragrance Set. This one is a bit tricky though. It pretty much sold out the day it was released, so it is now an In Store Only option. But, from my understanding not all stores had it, that may have changed, but the best thing to do, if you really want it, is to call your Sephora store or the ones in your area if there are multiple, and ask them if they have it. But, this set comes with two fragrances, the Miss Dior eau de parfum, which they say describe as a colorful floral bouquet. It celebrates the sensuality of the centifolia rose, is heightened by fresh lily of the valley along with spicy peony and is enveloped by powdery iris. The second fragrance is Sauvage eau de parfum, which is described as a captivating blend of Calabrian bergamot, nutmeg and vanilla absolute.

The last Birthday Gift option we have is for VIB and Rouge members only, and it’s the Farmacy Clean Skincare Set. This set includes the Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm, a face cleanser that gets rid of even the most stubborn makeup, SPF, oil and dirt while leaving your skin hydrated with no residue. The Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer, an intense moisturizer that replenishes distressed, dry skin with lasting hydration while visibly plumping and improving the look of fine lines. And the last thing you get is the Honey Potion Plus Ceramide Hydration Mask. A warming honey mask that intensely hydrates, nourishes and strengthens the skin’s moisture barrier. This is the upgraded formula, so it contains ceramides, upcycled apples and cica.

That about wraps it up for this post, there are a lot of great options this year, and I’m really happy with what I chose.

Until next time, have fun choosing, and I’d love to know what you go for :).

Fall Walmart Beauty Box Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Today we’re going to be talking about the fall Walmart Beauty Box. This is the first official box since the revamp. The box itself is white on the outside with the Walmart logo in red and pink lipstick swatches. Usually it’s glossy, but this one is matte.

IMG_6659

So one thing that changed with the revamp is now you get a pamphlet that has the full size prices of the items in your box. I really wish that with this revamp they would have included some tissue paper or something in the box because it would’ve added a little bit of color and protected the items a bit. I have some squished squeezy tubes in this box.

IMG_6660

So the first product we have is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Original. This has oil absorbing rice starch and is supposed to be light on your hair and not weigh it down. This isn’t my ultimate favorite dry shampoo but I know a lot of people do really like it.

IMG_6661

Next up we have the Earth to Skin Honey Manuka Cleanser. This has Manuka honey extract and glycerin, which draw in water and replenish the skin by helping to create a protective skin barrier. I’m really happy with my current skincare routine, but this is interesting to me. I’ll let you know what I think of it.

IMG_6662

Moving on we have the NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Crisp. The Butter Glosses apply really smooth and silky, aren’t too sticky, which is one of my least favorite things about lip gloss and there’s a number of gorgeous fall colors. The thing about these glosses is you do get a sheer to medium coverage so they’re buildable without looking gloppy and they smell really good. This is probably my favorite thing in the entire box.

IMG_6663

IMG_6664

IMG_6668

The second to last product we have is a pretty smashed and dented tube of Gold Bond Ultimate Strength and Resilience lotion. This is formulated with seven plumping moisturizers, three vitamins, proteins and lipids to replenish moisture and texture. Basically this will keep your skin radiant in the winter, which is always a good thing.

IMG_6665

And the last product we have is the Anecdote Weekend Vibe perfume. This has pineapple water, sandalwood, pink passion fruit and whipped musk. This is in a roller ball which I do like because they’re great to throw in your handbag. I do really like the scent of this, to me it’s more spring/summer than fall/winter but I will be wearing it.

IMG_6666

IMG_6667

That about wraps it up for this post, if you got any of these items in your fall Walmart Beauty Box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get. I’d also love to know what you think of this new revamped box.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what will be in the winter box :).

March Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to do my March favorites. It seems like this month has been 97 years long and there’s been a lot going on, but I hope you’re all doing well. I have a good group of favorites this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my March Sephora Play Box and I’ll link that below if you haven’t read it. My first Play favorite is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black. This is a product I used long ago and loved and now having used it a few times since getting it, I still love it. It glides on really smooth, there is room for error with this liner which you don’t always get and once it dries then it’s not smudging or going anywhere.

IMG_5323

My next Play favorite is the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides. I’ve been using this since I got it and I really like it. It’s a rich cream that sinks in quickly and because it is whipped, feels nice and light on the skin. It makes my skin really soft and it feels very moisturized. Definitely a moisturizer I would recommend if you’re looking for a new one.

IMG_5322

And my last Play favorite is the Versace Bright Crystal perfume. This is a really well balanced scent. It’s fruity and floral with the perfect hint of freshness. A great scent for spring and summer and I have ordered a full size of this perfume. If you haven’t smelled this and you get the chance, I say definitely do.

IMG_5324

My next two favorites come from the winter Walmart Beauty Box, which I’ll link down below, and the first is the Curel Dry Skin Therapy Hydra Skin Moisturizer. I use the Curel Wet Skin Moisturizer and love that so I had high hopes for this and it delivered. It sinks in to the skin quickly, leaves my skin feeling really moisturized but not greasy and has a nice almost citrusy scent.

IMG_5238

My other Walmart Beauty Box favorite is the Color Club Nail Lacquer in 1198, It’s Complicated. This is a really pretty, nicely pigmented magenta shade. The formula is nice, it goes on smooth and for me two coats was perfect. It also held up pretty well and lasted on my nails once it was on. This is a brand I hadn’t purchased from before but now I’m definitely going to see what other polishes they have.

IMG_5242

IMG_5243

IMG_5254

And my last beauty favorite is the e.l.f. Bite Size Shadow palette in Rose Water. This is a mix of pinks and purples. The shimmers are really nicely pigmented and creamy and the mattes are very smooth. I’ve talked about a few of these and I definitely recommend them, they’re great little palettes.

IMG_5201

IMG_5212 (1)

Moving on I have a drink favorite and it’s the Pure Leaf Raspberry Tea. Pure Leaf is always my go to if I want a good tea in a bottle and I typically stick with the same one or two, but I love raspberry tea so I decided to try it and I’m glad I did. I also saw that Pure Leaf has some new and different teas and I picked up a Peach Hibiscus to try, and I’m excited about that. It’s the perfect spring/summer tea flavor.

I want to quickly mention something that isn’t exactly a favorite because I just started watching last night, but I’m 3 episodes in to Tiger King on Netflix and holy wow. It’s already not what I expected. No spoilers, but I want to know if you guys are watching/have watched and what do you think?

And my last favorite is a music favorite and it’s AC/DC’s album Rock Or Bust. Something I’ve been doing recently is a deep dive into some of my favorite bands/musicians and listening to music of theirs that I haven’t heard or have forgotten about. It’s been a lot of fun. The songs on this album are pretty short, but in this case it works. Like most AC/DC songs the chorus’ are catchy and when you hear a riff you know it’s them you’re listening to. Overall great album. Speaking of musicians I like, I want to wish Slowhand himself, Eric Clapton a happy 75th birthday. I’m listening to music as I write this.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your March favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you all had a good March :).

March 2020 Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

The other day I received my March Play Box from Sephora and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme for this month is Wild Beauty. These are must have products that will be great and work for you no matter what you’re doing. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure on top. The front is a see through minty green that is perfect for spring, with various beauty and lifestyle products and ‘Play! By Sephora’ in the middle. The back is white with ‘Excitement level 100’ written in the same minty green.

IMG_5306

The first product we have is the Drybar Detox Clear Invisible Dry Shampoo. I’ve tried Drybar dry shampoos before and I do like them. I think they work well and they always smell good. Of course the worst thing about some dry shampoos is they can leave a residue behind so I really like the sound of a clear and invisible dry shampoo.

IMG_5318

Next we have something that I’m very familiar with, the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer. I use this primer all the time, it hydrates the skin and gives you a great base to work with.

IMG_5319

Moving on we have the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. This is a moisturizer that you can wear on it’s own, under your foundation or you can even use as a highlighter. I have one of these and I really like it. It smells great and it gives a nice subtle glow under foundation. I definitely recommend giving this a try if you haven’t.

IMG_5320

The next product we have is the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides. This is a rich moisturizer with a luxe texture that is supposed to leave you feeling super hydrated. I haven’t tried a Drunk Elephant moisturizer but sounds like it’s right up my alley and I’m excited to try it out.

IMG_5322

The second to last product we have is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black. I’ve used this liner, it was forever ago, but I really liked it. It has a precise tip so you have a lot of maneuverability, glides on smooth and once it dries it’s not going anywhere. Definitely an eyeliner I recommend.

IMG_5323

And the last product, this month’s bonus, is the Versace Bright Crystal perfume. I can’t even tell you how good this smells. It’s got the perfect mix of floral and fruity but it’s also got some freshness. If you haven’t smelled this and you get a chance, I recommend it. This is a great scent for spring and summer.

IMG_5324

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your March Play Box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

January 2020 Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be unboxing my January Sephora Play Box. The theme this month is Stress-Free Beauty. That means that these are products that you can count on in your routine to work every time. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure at the top. The front is a see through tealy/blue with various beauty and lifestyle products and ‘Play! By Sephora’ in the middle. The back is white with ‘How to PLAY! 1. Open 2. Heart eyes emoji 3. Repeat #SephoraPlay’ written in that same tealy/blue.

IMG_4964

The first product we have is the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask. This is supposed to smooth, hydrate and help protect your hair. You put this on after you shampoo and you lather from root to tip and leave in for five to ten minutes. I have this in my shower right now and I love it. It smells great and my hair feels extra soft and smooth after I use it. If your looking for a hair mask I definitely recommend this one.

IMG_4965

Next we have the GlamGlow SUPERMUD Activated Charcoal Treatment Mask. You put a thin layer of this on your skin, you can also use this as a spot treatment, leave on until it hardens and wash off with warm water. Because this has activated charcoal it’s supposed to be really purifying and great for the skin. I really like charcoal masks, so I’m excited to try this.

IMG_4967

Moving on we have the Shiseido WASO Clear Mega Hydrating Cream. This is a clear gel moisturizer with peony root extract and whole carrot cells that is supposed to give you intense hydration and help to brighten the skin. I tried this a few months ago and there’s something in it that my skin does not like because it made me break out. But I know a lot of people do like this.

IMG_4968

The next product we have is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. This is one of my absolute favorite eyeliners. It’s really precise, you get a great line and it’s great if you want a hassle free cat eye.

IMG_4969

The second to last product we have is the Lancome Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base. This is a mascara primer, it has a microfiber brush so it gets each lash and vitamin E which helps to nurture and condition your lashes. I personally don’t use mascara primers, I don’t really like them, but this one has great reviews and people seem to really like it.

IMG_4970

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Philosophy Amazing Grace Eau de Toilette. I’m gonna be honest, I have a cold and I’m stuffed up so I have no idea what this smells like. But it says that it’s floral with bergamot and lily of the valley. I don’t always go for a floral scent in perfume because they can be heavy but I’ll let you guys know what I think of this once I can fully smell.

IMG_4972

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your January Play Box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Blogmas Day Ten: Sephora Play, A Year In Review

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Ten! Today I thought it would be fun to go through the Sephora Play Boxes I’ve received this year and let you guys know what I’m still loving and what I’ve repurchased. I do a monthly favorites, so I won’t be going super in depth for each box. And full disclosure, I haven’t received my December Play Box yet, but I will be doing an unboxing. That being said, let’s get into it.

The first bag I received was February.

FBSP1

This was a great first bag of the year and I genuinely like everything in this bag. The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple has become one of my go to red lipsticks. I will leave a link down below to each post if you guys want more info on each of the products.

MRSP1

March brought a little bit of everything, which I always appreciate. The products that I use the most now out of this bag are the Amika Dry Shampoo, the Nars Bronzer and the Sephora Collection Mascara. I do really like that IT Cosmetics Cleanser, but I used the one I had and just haven’t repurchased yet.

APB1

With the April Box came a change in color of the bag and some great products. The Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment in Dream secured itself a place on my nightstand, I actually need to repurchase because mine is almost empty. You guys know how much I love the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream and the Make Up For Ever Primer is great.

MYSP1

The May Box reunited me with a skincare favorite, the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. Gave me a summer skincare favorite, the KORA Organics Noni Glow Face Oil and I got a backup for one of my all time favorite mascaras, Benefit BADgal BANG!

JUSP1

June was another differently colored bag and it was very skincare heavy. The Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow was one of my absolute favorites during the summer. The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer made itself back into the front of my primer drawer and since June you guys have seen how much I love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla.

JLSP1

In July I added to my always growing Bite Beauty collection in my lipstick drawer with the Matte Cream Lip Crayon in Glace, when I received this I already had this exact one but it was basically empty so I was happy to see this because this is one of my favorite shades. The Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet made it’s way onto my fragrance shelf, the OG Daisy is one of my all time favorite scents, but the whole Daisy collection is so nice.

AUSP1

The August Box was great, I loved the color of the bag and it was full of great products. Most of which I’m still using.

SPSP1

September was another fantastic bag. This is yet another month where I’m still using and loving everything in the bag. And it was a good mix of skincare and makeup products.

OCTSP1

In October I received a mini of one of my all time favorite, holy grail products, the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I keep this one in my handbag makeup bag and it’s a great size to carry around. I was given another of the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer, also kept in my handbag makeup bag. And I think this is one of the first times this Sephora Play year that I’ve had genuine product disappointment. I was so excited to try the WASO: Clear Mega-Hydrating Moisturizer and I did really like the feel of it when I put it on initially but there was something in there my skin did not like and it broke me out. But one good thing about Sephora Play is along with finding things you love, you get to try new products and not like them without paying full price for them.

NVSP5

The November box was honestly amazing. I so love everything in here and the bag itself is a lovely purple. I’m wearing three of these products right now actually, the Glamglow Glamstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer, Lancôme Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Mascara and Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. It’s all so good.

That about wraps it up for this post, Sephora has sent me a ton of amazing products this year. I love how they switched up the color of the bags and I’m excited to see what’s in my December Box. If any of you guys were doing Play this year I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, Sephora Play was and is definitely worth it and I’m excited to continue next year :).

November Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought it would be the perfect time to do my November favorites. I have fun mix of items this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, all of my favorites are from my November Sephora Play Box, which I will link down below. My first favorite is the Glamglow Glamstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I really like this. It has pearl particles infused in it so it highlights as it’s hydrating. It sinks into the skin quickly, it smells nice and when you put it under foundation you do get a nice subtle glow.

NVSP1

My next beauty favorite is the Nars Satin Lipstick in Tolede. This is a beautiful rosy pink shade with a satin finish. I don’t have a lot of lipsticks in this shade but this one has made it’s a way to the front of my lipstick drawer. It’s nicely pigmented, has a creamy formula and has great staying power. This is one of those lipsticks that works in any season and I definitely recommend it.

NVSP6

NVSP7

NVSP8

And my last beauty favorite is the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. I’ve talked about this in the past, this is one of my favorite scents. I have a bottle of it sitting in my perfume shelf right now. It’s a very warm and slightly spicy scent with a vanilla undertone. I think it’s very well balanced and it’s perfect for this time of year. I definitely recommend smelling this if you haven’t and you get the chance.

NVSP12

NVSP13

My next favorite is a food and drink favorite and it’s holiday teas. I haven’t been listening to Christmas music yet, but I have gone in on the festive foods. Here I have the Celestial Seasonings Decaf India Spice Chai (I drink this all year, but more in fall/winter), Bigelow Peppermint Bark (Minty Chocolate Herbal Tea), Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Spice (I haven’t tried this one yet but I’m excited to) and Twinings Holiday Berry. I think the Peppermint Bark is my favorite right now but they’re all great and Twinings has another seasonal one that I want to pick up.

NVF1

Moving on I have what I guess you could call a lifestyle favorite and it’s HotHands hand warmers. I always buy a box of these in late November/early December but it got cold quick here so I bought some at the beginning of the month. I always keep a couple in my handbag and I’ve been appreciating myself for it. They stay warm for quite a while and they’re great to have around.

My second to last favorite is a website and it’s FoodTribe. FoodTribe is the sister site of DriveTribe, started by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May of The Grand Tour, and it’s all about food. There are a bunch of different categories or tribes on a ton of different food related subjects. I’ve been doing a little bit of food writing and recipe posting so I will link my FoodTribe profile down below.

And my last favorite is a music favorite, it’s Take That Odyssey-Greatest Hits Live. This album is from their recent tour, which celebrated their 30th anniversary, and it was recorded at the last show of that tour in Cardiff. This also has a DVD companion. I’ve been listening to this on Spotify since it came out and it’s so good, I also have seen little bits and pieces of the tour on YouTube. I think they did a brilliant job and I love the way they stayed true to their classic songs and changed the arrangement on others. I highly recommend giving this a listen if you haven’t.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and if you’re celebrating I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving :).

November Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my November Play Box from Sephora and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme for this month is Beauty For Self Care, meaning that these are products you can use and play with when you’re treating yourself to a chill night. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure on the top. The front is a pretty see through purple with various beauty and lifestyle products and ‘Play! By Sephora’ in the middle. The back is white with ‘Jugar, Spielen, Giocare, PLAY! #SephoraPlay’ written in purple. Those all mean play in various languages, there is another language as well but it’s an Asian language and I don’t even know how I would attempt to write that.

NVSP5

The first product we have is the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. This is a moisturizer that you can either wear on it’s own or under your foundation. Because this is infused with pearl particles it highlights as it hydrates. I’m wearing this right now and when I put it on I was surprised at how glowy it was. It smells nice, sunk in to my skin quickly and I can tell that I’m more glowy than usual. Overall I really like it.

NVSP1

Next we have the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30. You put this on after your serum and before your foundation. It’s supposed to give you sun protection, a good base to work with and because of the tiger grass, reduce any redness you have plus protect your skin from environmental aggressors. I’ve used one Dr. Jart+ product in the past and I did like it so we’ll see.

NVSP2

Moving on we have the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Mascara. This is a mascara that promises big, full lashes in one coat. The brush you get with this is an odd shape, it’s shaped like an S. I have tried Lancôme mascaras in the past, but the one I used I really didn’t like, the formula was too thick for my liking. But this one seems to be better. I will definitely let you guys know what I think.

NVSP3

NVSP4

The next product we have is the Nars Satin Lipstick in Tolede. This is a really pretty rosy pink shade with a satin finish. I’m wearing this today and I honestly love it. It’s really creamy, nicely pigmented and it has great staying power. I’ve been eating and drinking and it’s holding up really well. I would definitely recommend it.

NVSP6

NVSP7

NVSP8

The second to last product we have is the Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. This is a unique lip product, it’s a lip balm meets lipstick. So you get this nice plum lipstick color but with a lip balm texture. This swatched really nicely and the color is really pretty. I’ll definitely let you guys know what I think, I’ll probably post pictures on Instagram.

NVSP9

NVSP10

NVSP11

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. I have a bottle of this and I absolutely love it. It’s a slightly spicy and very warm scent. It has vanilla undertones and it’s very well balanced. If you haven’t smelled this and you get the chance definitely do, it’s so good.

NVSP12

NVSP13

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your November Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Fall Walmart Beauty Box Review

Hi everyone,

Today I’m back with another Walmart Beauty Box, this time Fall. I did skip the Summer box but that wasn’t on purpose, I got a new card, forgot to resubscribe and by the time I remembered it was time for the Fall box and here we are. The theme for this box is Fall Faves. The box itself is white with a magenta Walmart logo in the center and the tissue paper that’s wrapped around the products is the same color.

FWB1

FWB2

The first product we have is the Clean & Clear Lemon Zesty Scrub with Vitamin C. This is supposed to gently buff and brighten and is oil free. They have a whole lemon and vitamin C range, and while I don’t use Clean & Clear I know someone who will absolutely love this.

FWB3

Next we have the Biore Witch Hazel Ultra  Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. This is supposed to remove 2x more deep pore clogs. I love a good pore strip and I actually haven’t tried these so I’m interested to see how it works.

FWB4

Moving on we have the NYX Lip Lingerie in 16, Cheekies. This is a warm pinky nude shade and it’s really pretty. I have a couple of these and I really like them, they dry down to a nice matte, they’re light on the lips and they’re long lasting.

FWB5

The next product we have is the Nivea Coconut and Monoi Oil lotion. I’ve used Nivea lotions in the past and found them to be really moisturizing and always great smelling.

FWB6

The second to last product we have is the Schick Intuition f.a.b. razor. This came at the perfect time because I was going to buy a new razor. So I’ve been using this since I got it and I like it. This has moisture gel so it glides really smooth and with this razor you can shave forwards and backwards.

FWB7

And the last product we have is the Sofia Vergara Lost In Paradise perfume. This has a floral and fruity scent with a woody undertone. It does smell nice but I think for me personally it’s a little too floral.

FWB8

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your Fall Box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next season :).

July Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought today would be the perfect day to talk about my July favorites. I have an interesting mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my July Sephora Play Box, I’ll of course link that post below if you haven’t read it. And my Play favorite is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. You guys know how much I love this. I’ve been using it for ages and it not only takes off every stay proof, waterproof, long lasting bit of makeup, but it does so with a gentle formula so there’s no scrubbing or irritation.

JLSP2

Next up we have the Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Glace. Again, this is something I’ve been using for a little while and it’s just so good. This particular shade is like a dusty mauve and it’s so pretty. These lip crayons are super pigmented and really long wearing. I have quite a few Bite Beauty products and honestly they’re all great. If you’ve never checked them out then I highly recommend doing so.

JLSP7

JLSP8

My last Play favorite is the Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Love Eau So Sweet. This is a scent that I would describe as very summery. It’s floral, fruity and just a little bit sugary, which is perfect. This isn’t one of those perfumes that you have to worry about being completely faded by the end of the day, it wears well and lasts a long time. I definitely recommend smelling this if you haven’t and you get the chance.

JLSP9

My second to last beauty favorite is the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots. I received this first in my Walmart Beauty Box, link below, and in my Target Beauty Box later, link below. So I figured I would give it a try. I take pretty good care of my hair so I didn’t know if it would really do a lot, but I have to say that I’m impressed. You use this after you’ve shampooed and conditioned and you apply it from the middle of your hair to the ends. It’s purpose is to target any damage you may have and to help prevent split ends, what I’ve noticed is that the portion of my hair I applied it has been softer than normal and I quite like that.

WBB9

And my last beauty favorite is Aloe Vera. Earlier this month I was doing something I’m going to talk about later in this post, outside in the heat of the day, for a long period of time, and I got the worst sunburn I’ve had in a really long time. It was so red and so painful and using aloe absolutely saved me. It ended up not peeling and actually turned into a nice little tan.

My next favorite is a book and it’s Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I talked about the show adaptation in my favorites last month and after watching and loving that I decided that I had to read the book. I absolutely loved it, it was so funny and now I fully understand why so many people have loved this book for so long. It’s just fantastic. I 1000% recommend reading it if you haven’t and watching the show because David Tennant and Michael Sheen are incredible and do an outstanding job of bringing the characters to life.

JLYF5

Moving on, my next favorite is my sunflowers and the planter box I built for them, aka the thing that caused my sunburn. Back in June a neighbor of mine told me she had some extra sunflower starts that she didn’t have a use for and I very happily took them off her hands. I knew that sunflowers like to root pretty deep and have space to grow so I decided to build my own planter box. It came out so good, I’m super happy with it and the sunflowers have been thriving since I put them in there. I have to give a shout out to my dad for helping me with this because my woodworking experience is limited.

JLYF1

JLYF2

JLYF3

JLYF4

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the song Superstitious by Europe. I feel like Europe is a band that gets forgotten about/people don’t know has more songs than Final Countdown. But my discovering this song was totally random, it popped up in my recommended on YouTube and I’m glad I clicked because I really like it. I listen to a lot of music and this song has one of, in my opinion, the best guitar solos. It’s just so good. And I would definitely say to give this song a listen if you haven’t, it’s pretty great.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your July favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great July :).
