Blogmas Day Eight: Winter Fashion

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Eight! Today I’m going to be talking about winter fashion. The weather around here has been pretty cold and recently there was a stretch of about a week/week and a half where it was absolutely freezing. So I wanted to share with you guys an example of how I’ve been dressing this winter. I have four different looks, so let’s get into it.

The first is for the days when it’s absolutely freezing and bundling up is the only option.

WF1

Here I’ve gone for a hat, scarf (which is tucked into my jacket), winter jacket (this jacket is a bomber style jacket and I love that it keeps me so warm but isn’t too bulky) and warm boots. Normally I’ll wear a pair of gloves, either black or silver, but I keep those in my handbag all winter anyway.

This second look is for those days when it’s a little bit cold but not so much that you need a massive jacket. And really if you wanted to not wear a massive jacket during winter you probably could get away with it with the right layers.

WF3

So I went with a long sleeve gray sweater, it’s not a super thick material so you can wear it for multiple seasons and not just winter. Then I have a black vest with a faux fur collar, this vest is a little bit puffy so it keeps you warm. And I paired it with a these over the knee boots from JustFab. These are the Lyrica boots in black and they’re actually quite comfortable. JustFab and ShoeDazzle are two of my favorite places to shop for boots because they have such a great selection, so I’ll leave some links down below.

My third look is the cozy look. For the time in the day/weekend when you want to get cozy and just chill.

WF2

This one is pretty basic. I’ll go for a sweatshirt, the one I choose depends on how cold I am because they’re all vary in thickness. A pair of leggings, again, how cold I am will depend on the length of the leggings. And my slippers, these are from Deerfoam and they’re the best, so warm and comfy. Plus they have tread on the bottom so I can wear them outside if I need to without worrying about ruining them.

And my last winter look is the dressed up look. This or a version of this is what I’ll be wearing to Christmas parties/on Christmas Eve this year.

WF4

I love this outfit. I’m calling this a sweater dress, on me it’s long enough to be, and it’s a really nice dark blue with gold and cowl neck with three gold buttons. It’s so soft and keeps me warm. I paired that with some black leggings that have a leather strip down the side and a pair of peep toe pumps that are embellished with little gems. Definitely one of my favorite pairs of heels, they add a little extra to any outfit.

That about wraps it up for this post, what are your fashion go-tos during winter?

Until next time, have fun planning your outfits and stay warm this winter :).

Summer 2018 OOTD’s and makeup looks

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing one of my favorite posts, OOTD’s and makeup looks, and this one is for summer. I have three different looks I’m going to be featuring, so let’s get into it.

The first look we have is one that I’ve been going for a lot more when I can, no makeup. In Washington, and pretty much everywhere else, a lot of this summer has been a ridiculous heat wave. So putting on makeup hasn’t been my first choice. As for my outfit, I went with a plain black tank top and a pair of floral shorts from Forever 21, I’ll link them down below if I can find the link, and a gold chain necklace.

SO1

SO4

This particular existence, I had showered and was feeling the natural look. I did use two products though, after I showered I used the Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel, which I love and one hundred percent recommend. It clears your pores and removes dead skin and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. And I also used the SKYN Iceland Berry Lip Fix with Wintered Red Algae, I’ve talked about this before, you guys know how much I love this. It’s super hydrating and that’s always important, especially during incredible cold or incredible hot.

My second look is from the Fourth of July and I always like to have fun with my look.

SO2

SO6

Starting with my face, and after my morning routine, the first thing I do is put on my foundation which is the L’Oreal Paris True Match super-blendable foundation in N2, Classic Ivory. I then apply my concealer which is the matching True Match concealer in N 1-2-3, Fair/Light and for the spots I want a little heavier coverage I use the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige and I blend that in with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender, which I know is really dirty, but I ordered some new ones so they should be here soon. And I topped that off with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder which I apply with an e.l.f. powder brush. Bronzer and blush wise, I went with my classic e.l.f. combo from the two palettes in the top corner. The bronzer I apply with my favorite Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour brush and I use a big fluffy brush to apply my blush. The final thing I do is highlighter and for that I used the Too Faced Super Fun Night palette from the Too Faced Best Year Ever makeup collection. It’s called Dashing Through The Glow and it’s a gorgeous champagne color.

SO7

For my eyes I used one of my go to palettes, the Too Faced Smokey Eye and I used Smolder, which is blue and I used a Bare Escentuals eye shadow brush to apply and blend a little and I put White Lie in the inner corner of my eye and under my brows. I did a little winged liner and for that I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper and Mascara was Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume in Deep Black. As always I used an angled brush and filled in my brows with Up In Smoke and finished the look off with the LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Color Me Confident, it’s a really pretty cranberry red and it has great staying power.

For the third look, I was feeling a little extra girly and this was the result. This dress, which is one of the most comfortable I own, is from H&M and again, if I can find a link I’ll put it down below.

SO3

SO5

I pretty much used the same products for this look, except I used the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. It gives you a really pretty glow and I really like the way the sparkle in it works with the sparkle and shine of the highlighter. And I used the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder. I really love this powder, it really sets my makeup and I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the market for a new powder.

SO8

For the rest of my look, starting with my eyes, I used the e.l.f. Everyday Smoky palette. The eye shadow I used is the second to last gray shade, it has a little bit of sparkle to it and it blends nicely. In the inner corner of my eye and under my brows I used the third color in, it’s really nice pale sparkly pink. I used the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion for my eye liner, the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir. I love this mascara it really does give major volume. I filled in my brows with Up In Smoke and I finished it off with one of my favorite lipsticks, Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Let’s Go Crazy.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always enjoy doing these, so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun with your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).

Four easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- March-April 2018

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing one of my favorite posts, four of my recent makeup looks and the outfits that went with them. Normally I would do three, but I couldn’t decide between two of them so I added them both. And with that being said, let’s get into it.

The first look is from St. Patrick’s Day. Outfit wise I was wearing a blue and green plaid shirt with a black, cami style bodysuit underneath and a pair of dark wash skinny jeans. I can’t remember where the shirt is from, I’ve had it for a little while, but the bodysuit is from Forever 21 and I think the jeans are from Macy’s but I’ve had them forever.

OOTDM1

OOTDM1a

Starting with my face, after I do my morning routine I start with my foundation, which is the L’Oreal Paris true match super-blendable foundation in the shade N2, Classic Ivory. With that I use the matching concealer in N 1-2-3 Fair/Light and on the spots I want heavier coverage the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige and I blend that in with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. I top all of that with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder and apply that with the e.l.f. powder brush. Bronzer wise I use the bronzer in the e.l.f. blush palette in light, top right in the palette on the left, I used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour brush to apply and the blush I used is the one on the bottom left from the palette on the right and to finish off my face I used the Dashing Through The Glow highlighter from the Too Faced Super Fun Night palette which is from the Too Faced Best Year Ever makeup collection. And I use an e.l.f. fan brush to apply that.

OOTDM1b

Moving on to eyes, I went with a simple brown shadow look. I really like to wear brown eyeshadows, I have green eyes and it tends to make them pop. For the shadow I went to the Too Faced Natural Beauty palette and picked Sleigh My Name. It’s a nice medium/dark brown with a bit of a shimmer. I applied that with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and I blended it out with a Skone Cosmetics blending brush. In the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows I used Angelic from the same palette. Mascara wise, I used Too Faced Better Than Sex, it’s one of my absolute favorite mascaras. Using an angled brush, I filled in my eyebrows with Too Faced Up in Smoke and I finished the whole look off with the Sephora Collection Rouge Matte Lipstick in Rebel Chic.

My second look is one that I wouldn’t normally add because it’s filtered but I really like it and the vintage feel it has. For the OOTD part of this I was wearing a white scoop neck shirt, which I believe is from Forever 21, the necklace I’m wearing is also from Forever 21, it’s a gold chain. I was also wearing really light washing skinny jeans, which are from Kohl’s.

OOTDM2

OOTDM1a

For my face, everything is the same as the last look.

OOTDM2a

I really like to play around with gold shadows, so this is one of my favorite looks. For the base shadow I used the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Rose Gold, not only is this shadow gorgeous but it’s highly pigmented. On top of that, mostly in the crease, I used a darker gold and blended it with my finger. In the inner corner and under my brows I used Angelic. The eyeliner that I used was the Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen in BlackNoir. The mascara is Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume in Deep Black, this is a great mascara it makes your lashes look really thick and defined. As always I filled in my brows with Up in Smoke and finished it all off with one of my favorite liquid lipsticks, the Caked Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. It smells like cake batter.

My second to last look is from Opening Day, one of my favorite days in March. My jersey is from the Mariners Team Store and my jeans are new and they are from Kohl’s.

OOTDM3

OOTDM3a

I changed up the blush in this look and the one I used is the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush.

OOTDM3b

This is a really simple look. Eyeshadow is from the Too Faced palette on the far left, it’s this shimmery emerald shadow and I only wear it a couple times a year and Opening Day is one of those days. It is really pretty though. I put White Lie in the inner corner and under my brows, used the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara on my lashes and Up in Smoke for my brows. And finally I used the MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro.

And my last look is from Easter. This is a better look at the new jeans I was talking about and the shirt is also new and it’s from Buckle. I love the pattern and the bell sleeves and it’s open in the back which is a great surprise when you turn around.

OOTDM4

OOTDM1a

For this look I went back to how I normally do my face, but I did make a change to my morning routine, I did it with the last look to and I added in the Bobbi Brown Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm. You put it on before you do your makeup and it illuminates your skin and gives it an extra oomph.

OOTDM4a

For this look I wanted something light and springy and I think I achieved that, I’m really happy with the way it came out. For the shadow itself I used the Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment in Honey Dew. It’s a gorgeous light pink and it is highly pigmented. I used Angelic in the inner corner and under my brows, the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black, the Essence Cosmetics mascara on my lashes and Up in Smoke on my brows. And to top it all off I used the EM Cosmetics Infinite Lip Cloud in Rose Nude.

That about wraps it up for this post, I really like doing posts like this, so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun with your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).

Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Summer 2017

Hi everyone,

Today, as summer is pretty much over, I wanted to share three of my favorite outfits and makeup looks from summer 2017. I’ve done a couple of these previously and I really enjoy them. So the first look is from July and I’m still so in love with it, I don’t know where the shorts are from as they were a gift but the necklace I bought at Forever 21 ages ago.

Ootds1

Ootds4

So, starting with my face and after going through my morning routine, I started with my foundation, which I am out of but I’m going on a little shop tomorrow to pick up another, I use the L’Oreal Paris true match super-blendable foundation in the shade N2, Classic Ivory. To go with that I use the matching L’Oreal true match concealer in N 1-2-3, Fair/Light and I top that with the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer and use an e.l.f. powder brush to apply. I’m almost out of that too, but I ordered the Tarte Amazonian Clay finishing powder so I’ll let you know what I think of that. As for my bronzer I use the bronzer in the e.l.f. blush palette in light and the blush I used is the blush from the palette on the right in the bottom left corner. And finishing off my face I use the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin, still my favorite highlighter definitely recommend it and I apply that with the e.l.f. fan brush.

Ootds6

Moving on to eyes, I went to one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, the e.l.f. Everyday Smoky palette. I used the two brown shades in the middle, I applied the lighter brown with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and blended the darker brown with the Skone blending brush and used another brush to apply a light shimmer, third from the left, to the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. Mascara wise I used my trusty Maybelline Falsies Volum Express and Maybelline Great Lash and using an angle brush, I filled in my brows using Too Faced Up in Smoke. And I finished the look with a Too Faced Melted Matte lipstick, which are some of my favorite lipsticks, in the shade Queen B.

My second look is from July 4th and I always love doing a festive look.

Ootds2

Ootds4

Face wise I kept everything the same as my last look.

Ootds7

For my eyes I used Smolder from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and blended it out and used White Lie in the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is one of my favorites, I’ve talked about it many times, and it’s the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a Brush Tip. The Falsies and Great Lash for my lashes and Up in Smoke for my brows. And of course I had to do a red lip, so I used the Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. This is hands down one of my favorite red lipsticks.

And my last look is actually from yesterday and not technically an OOTD. But I was wearing dark skinny jeans and a Ramones shirt.

Ootds3

Ootds5

For this look I did use a couple of different products. In addition to my normal concealer I used the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige, this gives great coverage and I definitely recommend it, and I apply that with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. I also used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. It’s a great size and it’s one of the softest brushes I own. And the final thing I changed was my blush. This time I used the Balm, Balm Springs blush in the shade In Full Swing.

Ootds8

This look is something I don’t normally do and I didn’t know how it would look on me but I ended up really liking it and I already know a couple of things I want to do different next time to enhance it. For this I used the Hikari Cosmetics cream pigment in Honey Dew. I had used this as a highlight shade but not as a base, but it’s very pigmented and the color payoff is great. I then used White Lie on the inner corner and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. The Falsies and Great Lash on my lashes and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème in 246, Slow Burn. I really like the formulation of the Marc Jacobs lipsticks and they last, which is a major plus.

That about wraps it up for this post. Like I said, I really enjoy doing these posts so I’ll probably do another for fall.

Until next time, take as many OOTD pictures as possible and have fun with your looks :).

Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Spring 2017

Hi everyone,

This week I wanted to do something I did last summer and really enjoyed. And that’s going through three of my recent outfits and makeup looks. I said that I may do one in the winter, but I totally forgot, and here we are. I went through my recent Instagram’s and picked the ones I liked best and I think the oldest is from April, so these are recent. And if you don’t follow me on Instagram, it will be below like always. So starting with the first one, this one is the one from April, so it was still a bit cold and rainy, and I wanted a fun look.

Ootd1

Ootd1a

Starting with my face, after I did my morning routine and prepped it, I started with my foundation. I’m still using and still loving the L’Oreal true match super-blendable foundation and I’m the shade N2, Classic Ivory. For my concealer I use the matching true match concealer in N 1-2-3 Fair/ Light. Next I use the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer on my whole face and apply with an e.l.f. powder brush. As for bronzer I used the e.l.f. Blush Palette in light, as you can see I ran out of it in the original palette, so I did buy another one and I use an angled contour brush. And finally for blush I use the same e.l.f Blush Palette and I use the blush in the bottom left corner (palette on the right) with a big fluffy brush. And finally for my highlight I used the Manna Kadar 3 in 1 highlighter/ bronzer/ eyeshadow in Fantasy and to apply that I use the e.l.f. fan brush. If you don’t own a fan brush I definitely recommend getting one.

Ootd1b

Moving on to eyes, for my shadow I used a Hikari Cream Pigment in Latte and a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush to apply and blend. In the  inner corner of my eye and under my eyebrow I used White Lie from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette, then I used Maybelline Expert Wear in Velvet Black eyeliner. When it comes to my mascara I still use two, first I use the Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express, it has a slightly curved brush, which I love, then I use my eyelash curler and on top of that I use the Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes. I’ve been using that on my bottom lashes as well. And finally I comb out my lashes making sure there’s no clumps. The second to last thing I do is fill in my brows. I brush them out, then with and angled brush I fill them in using Up in Smoke from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette. It’s pretty much the perfect match for my brows, a nice ashy brown. And the last thing I do is my lips. For this look I used the NYX Butter Lipstick in Ripe Berry.  And I finished it with a top knot.

The second look is less of an OOTD, but I really like this look. In the interest of fair reporting I was wearing a Mariners shirt and blue skinny jeans.

Ootd2

Ootd2a

For my face I used the same products, but changed my highlighter to the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin. This highlighter is amazing, I definitely recommend it.

Ootd2b

For my eyes I used In a Flash from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and White Lie in the inner corner and under my eyebrow. The EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip, if you’re looking for a liquid eyeliner this is a great one. The Falsies and Great Lash for my mascara, Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb. And a braided, side ponytail to finish.

And my last look is from Monday. The weather has been gorgeous lately, so I went with a summer dress. I forgot how much I like wearing summer dresses.

Ootd3

Ootd3a

I pretty much kept my face as the last look for this one.

Ootd3b

This look I like a lot, for my eyes I used both colors in the Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense eyeshadow duo in Electric. I used the rose gold one as the base and blended in a tiny bit of the gold. In the inner corner and under my eyebrow I used the Hikari Cream Pigment in Honey Dew, it’s a gorgeous sparkly pink. Eyeliner was the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. The Falsies and Great Lash mascara. Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and finally for lips I used the Cake Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. And a top knot to finish off the look.

That about wraps it up for this post, I’ll probably do another one of these come summer because I really enjoy them.

Until next time, enjoy your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).
