Blogmas Day Nine: Winter Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Nine! Today I’m going to be showing you guys my winter skincare routine. I do these posts every season, and I really enjoy them, so with that being said let’s get into it.

The first thing I do is take the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips put that on a cotton pad and swipe it over my eyes and lips. One of the things I really like about this is it has a really gentle formula so you don’t have to scrub and it takes off every long wear, waterproof product you’re wearing.

JLSP2

Then I take the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel to remove the rest of my makeup. You put this on your hands, rub until it’s foamy, then put on your face. And it leaves your skin feeling really nice.

MYSP3

My next step is to take the Caudalie Concentrated Brightening Essence on a cotton pad and swipe all over my face. This removes any dead skin cells you may have so that your serums and moisturizers can really sink in and do their job.

JSP5

Then it’s time for serums. This winter I’ve been rotating between my two favorites, the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum which is really great at evening out your skin tone and brightening your skin and honestly during winter I feel like brightening is key because the cold can be so harsh on the skin. And the Olehenriksen Truth Serum, which has vitamin C, green tea, aloe juice and orange extract and is very hydrating and brightening as well.

OSP3

SSP7

I follow that with moisturizer and this winter I’ve been loving two. The first is the Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen, which I talked about 975 times during the summer months and I still freaking love it. This has a really buttery texture, it makes my skin feel really soft, hydrated and almost dewy. It’s a vegan collagen, has ceramides, alguronic acid, Mary Thistle and is free of pretty much everything. The second is the Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb. This makes my skin again feel really soft and smooth. The callout is that it can retain moisture for up to 26 hours and it does feel like it moisturizes for a long time.

AUSP3

SPSP2

My second to last step is eye cream and for that I have my trusty duo of the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb and the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. The Belif cream has been my holy grail eye cream for a while, it makes my under eye look and feel moisturized. The Clinique Pep-Start is really hydrating, brightening and I look more refreshed after using it.

FSP3

APB9

And my last step is lips. For this I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla and the Vanilla Softlips. I’ve been using the Laneige more because it gives that extra moisture that my lips want during winter. But the Softlips is always really hydrating and both of these smell really good.

JUSP5

AF3

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routines and you can never have too many skincare products :).

Summer 2019 Post Shower Moisturizing Routine

Hi everyone,

Today I’m doing something that I haven’t done before, and that’s sharing my post shower moisturizing routine for this summer. I have done quite a few seasonal skincare posts, but never expanded beyond my face, and I thought why not. With that being said, let’s get into it.

I have two routines, one for the morning, which is the one I do most often and the other for nighttime. So the first thing I do after I shower is moisturize my body, which in the past has not been my favorite, probably because of the lotions I was using. But a few months ago, in the winter Walmart beauty box, I got a travel size Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer and within the first two or three times of using it I was hooked. Because it’s a wet skin moisturizer you put it on right after you shower. It sinks in quickly, there’s no greasy feeling afterwards and you towel dry and continue on with your day. My skin loves it, it’s been so soft and smooth and I’m loving it. You can get this at any drugstore, it’s about the same price at all of them, and I believe you can get it on Amazon as well.

PSR1

My next step is to moisturize my feet. For the longest time this wasn’t something I did, I just didn’t think of it, but now that I’ve been doing it for a while I wouldn’t go back. For this I use the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing with Aloe. I use this during the winter as one of my hand lotions and it’s so good. It’s a little bit thicker but it sinks in pretty quickly and you don’t feel sticky or greasy after. Along with the aloe it has vitamins A, C and E. I just ran out of this, so I need to buy another and you can also get this lotion at any drugstore.

PSR2

After that I move on to my face and for that I’ve been using two products. The first is the Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow. I will pop this on before I put my makeup on, it has hyaluronic acid, glycerin as well as vitamins C and E. I really like this, it protects your skin from anything harsh in the environment while boosting the moisture that’s in your skin. It basically makes your skin really soft and smooth. The second product I use is the Ren Clean Skincare Global Protection Day Cream. I wear this on the days that I shower and don’t wear makeup. This has a ton of antioxidants, protects from UV damage, soothes the skin and has antiaging benefits. I’ve only been using this for a little while but I do like it. My skin definitely feels hydrated.

JUSP2

AUSP4

And my last step is my lips. Normally I pop on a little of my Vanilla Softlips before I do my makeup. But on the days I don’t wear makeup I use the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy in Dream. This smells really good, is very moisturizing and slightly plumping plus it gives you a nice light pink on the lips.

AF3

APB4

For my nighttime routine, I only change a few things. It’s still Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer first.

PSR1

Then the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing with Aloe.

PSR2

In the beginning of summer I was using the Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow at night as well. But now I’m using the Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen. I’ve been talking about this a lot lately but I absolutely love it and my skin loves it.

JUSP2

AUSP3

And for my lips I use the Vanilla Softlips pretty much every night but on the night where I want a little more I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla. It smells really good and it’s very hydrating.

AF3

JUSP5

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know the products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routines and you can never have too many skincare products :).

Summer 2019 Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Today, as summer is coming to a close, I thought it would be the perfect time to share my summer skincare routine. I have two routines, one from the beginning of the summer and one that I’m using right now. So with that being said, let’s get into it.

So the first thing I do is take my trusty Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lips and Lashes, put that on a cotton pad and swipe it over my lips and eyes. This has a really gentle formula and you don’t have to scrub to get the makeup off.

JLSP2

Then I take the Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water. I’ve been using this for a little while and I like it a lot. It has Matcha Green Tea extract which is great for the skin and it’s soap free so you don’t have to rinse after using it. And I put it on a cotton pad and use on my whole face to remove the rest of the makeup.

APB8

My next step is to take the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence on a cotton pad and swipe all over my face. This removes dead skin cells so any serums and moisturizers you use can sink in and work to their fullest.

JSP5

Then it’s serum time. I have a couple that I really like, but this summer I’ve been using the Olehenriksen Truth Serum. This serum is super hydrating and brightening and it’s full of vitamin C along with aloe juice, green tea and orange extracts.

SSP7

I follow that with my moisturizer which is Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow. I’ve been using this for a few months and I like it a lot, I’ll even use this in the morning. It has vitamins C and E, hyaluronic acid and glycerin. All of those combined help to boost the moisture in your skin while protecting it from anything nasty in the environment and preventing dryness. It’s also free of parabens, sulfates SLS and SLES, phthalates and many others. It’s also $16.00 for the full size and $9.00 for the smaller version.

JUSP2

My second to last step is eye cream and for that I’ve been using the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. This is really brightening, hydrating and I can tell a difference after using it. I look and feel refreshed.

APB9

And my last step is lips. I have two products that I use for this, for the nights when I want more I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla. This makes my lips feel really moisturized and smooth, plus it smells really good. And my second lip product is my go to, the Vanilla Softlips. It’s always really hydrating and again, it smells good.

JUSP5

AF3

For my second routine, there are a few newer products, but I can honestly say I’m loving them. My first step hasn’t changed, it’s still the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. I had mentioned in my spring makeup routine that I was using the Lancôme Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover and I ended up recently finishing the one I had and I haven’t decided if I’m going to repurchase yet. But if you’re considering it, it’s quite good.

JLSP2

The next step is an old favorite of mine, the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. I used this forever, ran out, then got a sample in a Sephora Play Box and it reminded me how much I like it so I decided to repurchase. You put this on your hands, rub until it’s foamy then put it on your face. It takes off all your makeup, doesn’t leave anything behind and makes your skin feel nice.

MYSP3

Next up is the Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil. Prior to this I hadn’t really used face oils but this one was intriguing to me. It has noni extract, pomegranate oil, rosehip oil and sea buckthorn oil. All of which are high in antioxidants and the essential fatty acids so it really brightens and nourishes. My skin feels more naturally glowy along with being softer and very hydrated. This is good for sensitive, normal, dry, oily and combination skin so if you’re thinking about trying a face oil I would recommend this one.

MYSP4

From there I go straight to my moisturizer, the Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen. This is so good, I’ve been using this since I got it and my skin loves it. It has a really creamy, almost buttery feeling when you put in on. I’ve noticed that my skin looks and feels really smooth, soft and fresh. This is an expensive product, but in my opinion it’s so worth it, especially when it comes to skincare.

AUSP3

Then I go to eye cream and I’ve still been using the Clinique Pep-Start but I’ve also brought my favorite Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb back into the mix. It’s my holy grail eye cream and these two together is just so good.

APB9

FSP3

And the last step is to use either the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla or my Vanilla Softlips.

JUSP5

AF3

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routines and you can never have too many skincare products :).

June Favorites

Hi everyone,

Today, as it’s the end of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to do my June favorites. I have quite a few things I loved this month, and a pretty good mix, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a few favorites from my June Sephora Play Box and I will link that post down below if you haven’t read it. My first Sephora Play favorite is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla. I mentioned that I had never used a lip sleeping mask, so I didn’t quite know what to expect, but I really like this one. You put this on before you go to bed and when you wake up you remove the remaining product and you’re left with really smooth and moisturized lips. This also smells really good and I definitely recommend it.

JUSP5

Next we have the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer. I’ve been using this primer off and on for a while now and it’s one that I really like. It has marine plant extracts, turmeric and hyaluronic acid which helps to really wake up your skin and it gives you a great base to work with. The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea line has a ton of great products and this is a primer that I always recommend.

JUSP3

And my last Sephora Play favorite is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream. I’ve been slowly incorporating this into my skincare routine and I’m really liking it. It’s really light, sinks into the skin pretty quickly and I feel very moisturized.

JUSP4

Moving on, I have a jewelry favorite and it’s these earrings. I did a whole post about them and I’ll link that down below. But basically they’re from Earfleek and I like them a lot. They’re simple but I think they add the perfect little bit to a look.

EF5

Next I have a racing favorite and it’s the 24 Hours of Le Mans. One of the biggest races of the year, it takes place at the Circuit de le Sarthe, Le Mans, France and this was the 87th running. I watched most of it, like I try to every year, and it was very exciting and there was a lot going on like in any endurance race and then there were some not so great moments. But I would one thousand percent recommend watching it if you never have.

My last kind of random favorite is a TV show, Good Omens on Amazon Prime. I had been seeing ads for Good Omens everywhere and it looked kind of interesting so I decided to give it a go. I’m so glad I did because it’s brilliant and I absolutely loved it. I think the casting was absolutely perfect and I love the humor that it brings. The only thing that I didn’t like is that’s it’s only six episodes because I wanted more, but being based off of a book, I understand. And now I’m going to read the book because I’m interested to see how it translated and because the book has great reviews. I absolutely, 10/10 recommend it.

And my last couple of favorites are music favorites. The first is the song Holy Mountain by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. This song came out of nowhere, it popped up randomly on my Spotify and I’m happy I did it. This was my first Noel Gallagher experience and because I liked this one so much I’ve been having a little look through his music and finding songs I quite like. The song Rattling Rose from his new album Black Star Dancing is a great listen.

My second music favorite is The Doobie Brothers Live from the Beacon Theater. This concert was recorded in November of 2018, the first time in 25 years they had played there and this concert is special because they played their albums Toulouse Street and The Captain and Me. PBS showed a handful of the concert recently and it was great. I know The Captain and Me pretty well but I only knew a couple songs from Toulouse Street so it’s been great to hear some of these songs for the first time. I did preorder the 2CD set and the Blu-ray, the 2CD, DVD and 2CD + DVD is being released on June 28th and the Blu-ray on July 12th. So I’m really excited to watch and listen to the full concert and I highly recommend giving it a watch/listen.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your June favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great June :).

June Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my June Play Box from Sephora and I thought today would be a great time to go through it. The theme for this month is Destination Beauty, basically it’s products that will help you to look and feel great no matter where you’re going. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure, the front is see through orange with various beauty and lifestyle products and Play! By Sephora in the middle. The back is white with ‘Work hard, PLAY! harder #SephoraPlay’ written in orange. It gives off major creamsicle vibes and it’s perfect for summer.

JUSP1

The first product we have is the Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow. This is a weightless moisturizer with glycerin, hyaluronic acid and vitamins E and C that is supposed to not only moisturize and nurture your skin but it’s supposed to help give you a natural glow. I love a good moisturizer and on the days when I don’t wear makeup or do a no makeup makeup look I love a natural glow, especially this time of year. So I’ll let you guys know what I think.

JUSP2

Next up we have the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer. This is a primer that I use and I really like. It has marine plant extracts, turmeric and hyaluronic acid and really helps your skin to wake up and it gives you a great base to work with. I definitely recommend it.

JUSP3

Moving on we have the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream. This cream is supposed to help keep out things that are bad for your skin like allergens, pollution and irritants while keeping in the moisture. I’ve tried a few different products from First Aid Beauty and I’ve really liked them all. They’re a great brand and I always recommend them because they have a huge range of products so you’re bound to find something you like and all of their products are safe for sensitive skin.

JUSP4

The next product we have is the Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara in Blackest Black. If you read my recent post about mascara, I’ll link it below, then you’ll know how I feel about this one. Basically I have a love hate relationship with it. While it gave me nice volume, I don’t like the formulation. I had some transfer and I was not a fan of that.

JUSP6

JUSP7

The second to last product we have is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla. You put this on before you go to bed and when you wake up you wipe off the remaining product. And it’s supposed to really moisturize your lips. I’ve actually never used a lip sleeping mask so I’m excited to try this and it smells really good, which is a major plus.

JUSP5

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Briogeo Superfoods Shampoo and Conditioner. The shampoo is Be Gentle, Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo and the conditioner is Be Gentle, Be Kind Kale + Apple Replenishing Superfood Conditioner. This has no parabens, silicones or harsh sulfates and is supposed nurture and replenish your hair, helping to get rid of any dullness. I think this is interesting so I’ll have to give it a try.

JUSP8

That about wraps it up for this post, if you got any of the same products in your June Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next times, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).
