August Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my August Glam Bag from Ipsy and wanted to share it with you today. The theme for this month is Ipsy Vibes. Good vibes only, peace and love type of thing, which I absolutely love. They had horoscopes on their website this month and I thought it was great. This month there were three different bags given out and the one I got is actually the one that I wanted, it has what will now be my new motto,  Peace, Love and Lipstick and I love the colors.

AGGB1

So the first product is the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. I love the Firma brushes, I have the 102 Blush Brush and I love it, use it all the time. These brushes are incredibly soft and I love the color scheme. I firmly believe that you can never have too many brushes, so I was excited to see this. And definitely check out Firma if you’re looking for brushes.

AGGB2

Next we have the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with red clay. I honestly love First Aid Beauty, their Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer is one of my favorite products, it’s done wonders for my skin. So I’m really excited to try this cleanser.

AGGB3

Moving on we have the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in the shade Light Beige. Let me tell you about this, I’m actually wearing it today and I think it’s got to be one of the best products I’ve used. I have this horribly annoying stress break out on my chin and I figured this would be the perfect time to see what this can really do and I’m honestly so impressed. It’s light to medium coverage, semi matte and it’s buildable, all things I really appreciate. And it’s SPF 34, which is a slightly weird number for an SPF, but nonetheless. Although I will warn you, I went on their website to check out other products and because they are a Korean brand the whole website is in Korean, which is not a language I speak, so it’s a little difficult to navigate.

AGGB4

The second to last product is from the Balm and it’s the Balm Voyage Vol. 2 eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha. This eyeshadow is a shimmery pale peachy color, highly pigmented and really pretty. Would make a great highlight under the brow or in the inner corner of the eye.

AGGB5

And the last product is the Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. You guys know how much I love trying new eyeliner so I was excited to see this and I’m excited to try it.

AGGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your August Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you got in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

July favorites

Hi everyone,

As it is the last week of July I thought it would be a good time to talk about my favorites and what I’ve been loving this month. Starting with beauty, I have a few favorites from my July Glam Bag, and I’ll link that post down below if you haven’t read it. My first favorite is the bag itself, I don’t think they could’ve chosen a more adorable mascot than Gudetama and I love that the bag has a 360 design.

JLGB2

JLGB3

Next up we have the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. I have loved this since the minute I put it on and it’s become an important part of my nightly routine. It’s light, smells good and my face feels so good. I have since ordered a full size version of this. Definitely recommend it.

JLGB4

My next beauty favorite is the Ciate London Wonderwand Gel-Kohl Hybrid liner in Black. Like I mentioned before I really like Ciate London, I think they’re a great brand with great products. Since joining Ipsy my collection of eyeliner has grown and I love it. This one goes on smooth and it’s long lasting. It’s also double ended so one end is the pencil and the other end is a smudging and blending brush.

JLGB5

My last Glam Bag favorite is the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea deep dive cleansing gel. I’ve been using this to take off my makeup and cleanse my face and I love it. The whole Rainforest of the Sea collection is brilliant and if you want a good cleansing product I recommend this. Like the Caudalie moisturizer, I’ve ordered a full size of this.

JLGB9

And my last beauty favorite is the LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Color Me Confident. LOC stands for Love Of Color and it’s a Birchbox brand. My mom is subscribed to Birchbox and she told me about this brand so I ordered one of these lipsticks just to try out and I really like it. This particular one is a cranberry red shade, which is usually the red I wear and I quite like it. I always love a matte lipstick, this one is highly pigmented and will last you all day without feeling like you’re wearing a matte lipstick because they can leave you with a heavy feeling. I definitely recommend it.

JLF1

JLF2

Next I have a book favorite and that’s Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly. I mentioned this book in my summer reading list post and if you haven’t read that I’ll link it below as well. But this book is about the African American women who were part of some of NASA’s biggest successes. I have loved every bit of this book so far, being the huge history nerd I am I’m so intrigued by this and I’m almost finished with it. It has been turned into a movie with the same name, and I wanted to wait until I’d read the book to see the movie but everyone has told me how great it was, so I can’t wait to watch it.

My next favorite is the Royal International Air Tattoo, or RIAT and it’s an international airshow, the world’s largest, held every year in England. This is an airshow that I’ve always wanted to go to and hopefully within the next few years I will, but I’ve been watching videos of it on YouTube and I think it’s really cool to see how many aircraft show up and how many countries take part.

My last couple of favorites are music related and the first is the song Grand Illusion from Barry Gibb’s 2016 album In The Now. The album is full of great songs, but Grand Illusion is definitely my favorite. I’ve loved Barry Gibb forever, I love the Bee Gees and I was happy to see that he had released another album. I’ve said this before but I honestly love to sing with Barry Gibb.

Next up we have the song Shame by Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams. I’ve thought this was a great song since it came out and it popped up recently when I put my phone on shuffle. This was the first song the two worked on after they resolved their issues and fixed their friendship and that’s what the song is about. The video is kind of ridiculous, but in a good way and I love it.

And my last favorite is Face To Face by Gary Barlow and Elton John. I think I’ve mentioned before how much I love Elton John and I love that he and Gary did this song. You can tell that this song is special and I think the meaning behind it is really sweet. Not a lot of people stuck by Gary when he went through his rough patch, but Elton did and this was his way of saying thank you. It’s a brilliant song and I 100% recommend looking it up on YouTube, just like the other songs I mentioned, if you haven’t heard them.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not let me know what you loved this month.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great July :).

July Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my July Glam Bag from Ipsy and thought today would be the perfect day to go over it. This month’s theme is Ipsy Over Easy, basically lazy Sunday vibes. I have to say that this month’s bag may be the most adorable they’ve done.

JLGB1

I don’t normally talk in depth about the bags themselves, but this one is too cute not to. The mascot for Ipsy Over Easy is an incredibly chill egg named Gudetama. I think this is a great concept and applaud them for making the bag design 360, it’s adorable.

JLGB2

JLGB3

Moving on to actual products, the first is Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. I actually used this last night and I’m a big fan. It smells amazing, it really sinks into your skin and it’s light. All things I appreciate.

JLGB4

The second product is the Ciate London Wonderwand Gel-Kohl Hybrid liner in Black. I really like Ciate London as a brand. I mostly buy their nail polishes, which are amazing if you’re looking for a new polish brand, but I’ve only ever heard good things about the rest of their products. What I like about the eyeliner is that it’s double ended. One side is the pencil and the other side is a smudging/blending brush.

JLGB5

Next we have Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold blush. This blush is really pretty, it has ginger, lychee, mangosteen, and chamomile extracts that help give radiance and hydration. Color wise it’s a light pink with a gold shimmer and I can’t wait to wear it.

JLGB6

The second to last product is Winky Lux Double Matte Whip in Angel Food. Essentially a gorgeous nude. You guys know how much I love matte lipsticks, so I’m excited by this.

JLGB7

JLGB8

And lastly we have the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea deep dive cleansing gel. Tarte is one of my all time favorite brands and I think their Rainforest of the Sea is brilliant. This product in particular is for taking off your makeup and cleansing your face. I’m almost out of my current cleanser, so this is a product I will be trying within the next couple of days.

JLGB9

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your July Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

June Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

I got my June Glam Bag from Ipsy yesterday and I thought today would be the perfect day to go over it. This month’s theme is Ipsy Volume Up. It’s all about being yourself and not being afraid to speak up. I think the bag is adorable, it’s the perfect size to stick in your handbag if you are looking for a smaller makeup bag or pencil case, etc. It has a set of lips on it and it’s perfect for the theme.

JNGB1

So the first product I’m going to talk about is a couple of facemasks from BioRepublic Skincare. I got two sheet masks, one is a green tea detox with green tea extract and vitamin E. It’s supposed to boost anti-oxidants and leave you with clean, supple and refined skin. The other is an aloe rescue with aloe vera juice and vitamin E. And it’s supposed to provide immediate hydration and leave you with healthy, revitalized and lush skin. This time of year people spend a lot of time in the sun and after a day in the sun this would be perfect. I love facemasks, so I’m excited to try these.

JNGB2

Next is a Luna by Luna eyeshadow in Jace. This is dusty peach color and it’s really pretty. I don’t typically wear a lot of colors like this, but I’m sure I can make it work.

JNGB3

The next product, from the Balm is the Balm Springs blush in the shade In Full Swing. This is a really light pinky blush and it’s perfect for summer. I can’t wait to wear it, the Balm blushes are great.

JNGB4

The second to last product is one of my favorites and it’s a NYX Whipped Lip and Cheek Soufflé in Plush. I love NYX, I think all of their products are great. This is a really pretty pink, I’ll probably use it just for lips, the fact that it’s whipped makes it nice to wear and to me it smells like vanilla frosting, which I love. I would definitely recommend anything NYX.

JNGB7

JNGB5

And the last product is a nail polish from Trust Fund Beauty and it’s in the shade Game Changer. I really like the Trust Fund Beauty nail polishes. The formulation is really nice and they have good staying power. I love the color of this one it’s bright and perfect for summer. I can’t wait to put it on my nails.

JNGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your June Glam Bag let me know and if not let me know what you got in yours.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

May Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Over the weekend I received my May Glam Bag from Ipsy and figured today was the perfect day to talk about it. This month’s theme is Ipsy Summer Fridays. The theme really carries through. The bag is covered in ice cream and popsicles. It’s also plastic so that makes it perfect to take to the beach or the pool. When I pulled it out of the envelope it reminded me of how pool floaties smell which made me think of summer.

MYGB1

So the first product is Urban Decay Afterglow 8-hour powder highlighter in Sin. I’ve mentioned how much I love Urban Decay and this highlighter is amazing. It’s a gorgeous champagne shade and it did last most of the day, which I loved.

MYGB2

Next we have a Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense eyeshadow duo in Electric. When I opened this I was excited because I absolutely love these colors. I wore this on Saturday and really liked it. I used the rosey one as the base and put a little bit of the gold on top and after I blended it it was so pretty. It is really pigmented and I definitely recommend it.

MYGB3

Sticking with eyes, we have the Pixi by Petra Endless Silky eye pen in BlackNoir. Pixi is a brand I really like, their skincare is fantastic, but I hadn’t tried any of their makeup. Let me tell you, I will be going to their website and browsing through the makeup. Like I’ve said before, I’m always looking to try new eyeliner, doesn’t matter how many I have. And I really like this one. It was long lasting, it didn’t smudge, and it was incredibly smooth putting it on. It really lives up to it’s silky name.

MYGB4

Going on to lips, the next product is a Caked Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. I’m so in love with this liquid lipstick. Not only is the color fantastic, but it smells like cake batter. I mean, if it didn’t smell like cake I would still love it because it’s lightweight and doesn’t feel like it’s taking all of the moisture out of my lips. But the fact that it does makes it a million times more fun and I will definitely be purchasing more colors in the future.

MYGB5

And lastly, we have Beauty and Pin-Ups Fearless Hair Rescue Masque. I haven’t used this yet, but it smells really good. I love hair masks, thankfully my hair is really healthy and always has been, but being able to give it that extra love and softness is always nice. So I can’t wait to try this.

MYGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your May Glam Bags let me know, and if not I’d love to know what you got in yours.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

April favorites

Hi everyone,

As it is the last week of April I thought it was time to do my April favorites. I think I have a fun mix this month, so let’s get into it. Starting with beauty, the first thing is from my April Glam Bag from Ipsy, if you haven’t read that I’ll link it below, and it’s the bag itself. As far as design goes, this is the most fun bag they’ve done this month. It’s a red-orange ticket and I think it’s so perfect for this time of year. Fair season is coming up and if you’re like me and don’t really go to a lot of fairs this is perfect for spring/ summer. It will bring an element of color and fun to any outfit.

APF1

Next we have the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. I’m always looking for a good eyeliner, especially liquid liner and I have found one in this. It’s quick drying, smudge proof, it lasts all day and it’s super easy to take off at the end of the day. For anyone looking, I would 100% recommend this.

AGB4

And lastly from my April Glam Bag is the Meg twin nail polish in Lovey Dovey. I’ve worn both the colors, I’m actually wearing the nudey one right now. I really like the formulation, the color comes through nicely and the staying power is great.

AGB5

Moving on, we have the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip kit. I will also link that post down below if you haven’t read it. I really like everything that’s in that kit. I have worn the Buxom Full on Lip Cream since then and I did like it. It smells amazing, and it lasts on your lips for a while. If I would change anything, I think it would be the color. This one is in White Russian, and I think it was a little bit light for me personally, but I would order any of their other colors.

SH1

My next favorite is Easter. This year when my family got together we had a pretty chill day, watching baseball and playing games. But it was really nice and relaxing. And this is what I wore.

APF2

And speaking of baseball, that’s my next favorite. Baseball season is here, we’re almost through the first month of the season. My Seattle Mariners are off to a slightly slow start, they’re 8-13 right now which isn’t too horrible, very easy to get to .500 from here. And they’re in the middle of a road trip right now. I think this is one of the most talented teams we’ve had in a little while. Everyone is wanting to hit, having good at bats, defense is great, and the thing that has excited me the most is how many guys we have stealing bases. For the last five years at least I’ve been saying that we need to steal more bases and it’s finally happening. For the most part they have really adopted the Whatever It Takes mentality and I’m excited about the rest of the season.

APF3

Next up we have a food favorite. The other day I was looking through an ad that came in the mail for Fred Meyer or QFC and it was advertising a new flavor of the Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Pieces so I thought I would try them because I hadn’t yet and I love pretzels. When I got there they were sold out of the new flavors so I ended up buying the jalapeno ones and they were so good. When I opened the bag it instantly reminded me of the Tim’s Cascade chips, which I absolutely love. And they don’t hold back on the jalapeno flavor. Now I definitely want to try all of the other flavors.

And my last April favorite is The Bee Gees. Every couple of years the Grammy’s does a salute to a person or group who has been making music for a long time, they have other artists perform the honorees songs and at the end that person or group comes up and does a couple of their own songs. That I know of they’ve done Stevie Wonder and The Beatles, who I love very much, and this year it was The Bee Gees. I was pleasantly surprised at how many of their songs I knew, and since then I’ve been listening to their music regularly. And I very much want to sing with Barry Gibb, he’s amazing. If you’re not familiar with their music look them up on YouTube or iTunes, they’ve got some great songs.

That about wraps it up for this post. If we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not let me know what you’ve been loving this month.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you’ve had a great April :).

April Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my April Glam Bag, so I thought today would be the perfect day to go through it. This month’s theme is Ipsy Side Show. I think when it comes to bag designs, this one is the most fun yet. It’s a red-orange bag in the shape of a ticket and I think that’s genius. Fair season is coming up so it’s the perfect bag for something like that.

AGB1

So starting with hair, the first thing in this bag is from Theorie. It’s a Marula Oil transforming hair serum. It’s supposed to moisturize, smooth, protect and repair hair. I usually don’t put oils in my hair, but I’m interested to try it out.

AGB2

Next we have a Hikari cream pigment eye shadow in the shade Honey Dew. This is such a gorgeous color. I swatched it yesterday and I think it’s going to be so pretty on.

AGB3

Moving on, from EM Cosmetics, we have their Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. I’m actually wearing this today and I think it’s great. I’m always on the hunt for a good eyeliner and this one definitely gets an A from me.

AGB4

Going next to nail polish, from Meg, it’s their Twin nail polish in Lovey Dovey. The color on the left is gray with a purple undertone and it’s really pretty. I’ve got it on and I like it a lot. The formulation is really nice. The color on the right actually reminds me of how my coffee looks after I’ve added creamer. But I’m always looking for a good nude toned nail polish.

AGB5

And the last thing in this months bag is a brush. But not just any brush. It’s the Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Angle Brush. When I was growing up Lisa Frank was really big, all of my friends were decked out with notebooks, folders, stickers, the whole lot. I had a couple of things myself, so when I saw this brush it was a total childhood flashback. The whole design is great, the rose gold on the handle, the pink center of the brush itself. And on top of all that, this is now definitely one of the softest brushes I own.

AGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your April Glam Bags let me know and if not, let me know what you got in yours.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).
