December favorites/2017 wrap up

Hi everyone,

Today, as we are in the last couple days of December and of 2017, I thought it would be the perfect day to do my December favorites and wrap up this year. So, starting with beauty and I have a couple of favorites from my December Glam Bag, if you haven’t read that post I’ll link it below, and the first is the bag itself. It’s silver with a band of silver sparkles around the top and the inside as well as the zipper is aqua and I love it. Not only is it wintery, but it’s so my colors.

DF13

My next Glam Bag favorite is the Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume Mascara in Deep Black. I’ve worn this a couple of times and I really like it. It does give my lashes volume and thickness.

DGB3

And my last Glam Bag favorite is the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Legendary. I’ve always liked the Smashbox lipsticks and this one is no different. It’s a gorgeous red, it’s long lasting and it doesn’t dry out your lips like some red lipsticks can do. I definitely recommend it.

DGB6

I want to make a note quickly and say that I haven’t yet had a chance to try out the Purlisse sheet masks, but I will let you know what I think once I have.

Next up I’m going to talk about a few of the things that I got for Christmas and for that I’ll start with my stocking. The first thing I pulled out of my stocking was a set of four gold rings from H&M. I love rings and these are the perfect simple accessory.

DF1

The next thing was a full sized Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar 24 hour moisture Ultra Shea body cream. This is one of my favorite scents from Bath and Body Works and probably my favorite lotion.

DF2

The rest of my stocking was full of a loofa, some toiletries (toothpaste, makeup wipes, etc) and candy.

Moving on to some of my presents, there are a few that I wanted to mention and the first is a curling iron. I was in desperate need of a medium sized curling iron, I have one with a small barrel and one with a really big barrel, but I was lacking some middle ground so this is perfect. It’s a Conair Instant Heat curling iron with a 1 1/4 barrel. I’ve always liked  Conair because I have a lot of hair and it’s thick and these get really hot and create nice curls.

DF3

Next up is one of my favorite gifts I received and it’s the Too Faced Best Year Ever collection. You guys know how much I love Too Faced and I’m so in love with this. It comes in a little zip up case that is gold with pink stripes on the outside and it says “I have way more makeup at home” on the front.

DF4

When you open it you see black and white stripes and the three palettes are stacked on one another and there is a mini Better Than Sex mascara on the top. It also comes with a little booklet that has four different looks and how to create them.

DF5

Like I said, there’s three palettes and they are I Believe in Pink, Natural Beauty and Super Fun Night.

DF6

I Believe in Pink has six eyeshadows ranging from super light pink to purple with a blush in the shade Pink Poinsettia. I have over the last three days worn at least one color from each palette and these shadows are very pigmented and look fantastic on.

DF7

Natural Beauty has six eyeshadows in the gold and brown shades and a bronzer in Warm My Heart.

DF8

And Super Fun Night has six eyeshadows in a mix of different colors and a highlighter in Dashing Through The Glow.

DF9

I will be doing a more in depth post on the Best Year Ever in the new year, so look out for that.

And the last beauty related thing is actually a sample that I got with the Too Faced collection. It was a small bottle of the Atelier Mandarine Glaciale perfume. I’m going to be honest with you guys, the second I smelled it I was in love. It has mandarin, ginger and vetiver and is a really fresh and warming scent. It also reminds me of something from when I younger, but I can’t remember what it is. I did order a full size bottle of this and it is on the pricier side but Sephora offers it in at least two sets that I’ve seen that have other Atelier scents.

I have a couple of clothing favorites, this Christmas was very sports heavy for my family and none of us were mad about it. When it comes to college football USC is my team and I was lacking in things to wear on game day but now that’s not the case. First up is a racerback ombre tank top. Ignore the wrinkles, I had it folded. But I love a tank top and can’t wait to wear this.

DF10

Next we have a white V-neck t-shirt that says Fight On! which is the name of the USC fight song. What I like about this shirt is it’s incredibly soft and it’s slightly on the baggy side, not overly but I tried it on and it looks great tucked into jeans.

DF11

And finally we have a black and gray hoodie. I don’t think I’ve taken this off since I got it, it’s fleece lined on the inside and it does a great job keeping me warm.

DF12

USC plays Ohio State tomorrow in the Cotton Bowl and I think it’s going to be a great game. Go Trojans!

And my last couple of favorites are music favorites. The first is the Ed Sheeran song Perfect. Everyone has been talking about this song recently and with good reason, it’s fantastic. If you somehow haven’t heard it yet, go and listen to it.

The last two are from Robbie Williams Under The Radar Vol. 2 album, which came out recently and my two favorites from this album are Bambi and 9 To 5. Bambi is one of my favorite songs of 2017, it’s a fun and very Robbie Williams. And I love the fact that he covered 9 to 5, if you like the original version of the song then you’ll like this one.

That about wraps it up for this post and I want to take a minute and thank you guys for reading, liking and commenting this year. 2017 was a crazy year and I can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring.

Until next time, I hope you all had a great December and 2017 and I appreciate every one of you :).

Blogmas Day 20: A year of Glam Bags

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day 20! I can’t believe it’s already the 20th and we’re near the end of Blogmas, it’s gone by so quickly. Today I’m going to be talking about the Glam Bags I received this year from Ipsy. I got a lot of great products this year and a lot of cool bags, so let’s get into it.

YGB1

I think as the months went on the bag designs got more fun and I found myself liking more and more of the products.

jgb1

From the January Glam Bag, my favorites were the blush, the nail polish and Manna Kadar 3 in 1 bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow.

fgb1

In the February Glam Bag, I really liked the design of the bag with the denim and the orange zipper that was in the shape of lips. When it came to what was in the bag, I liked everything but my favorites were the face masks, nail polish, lipstick and eyeshadow.

MGB2

I loved the March bag. The design was great, I loved the colors and I loved that it gave you more space. Product wise, I loved everything and with the exception of the brush and the blush I have repurchased and been happily using those products.

AGB1

The April bag had a really fun design, the fair ticket was a great idea. The EM Cosmetics eyeliner was one of my favorite things from any bag that I got and I use it all the time. I love the nail polish, two colors I didn’t have and I’m glad I do now. And the same with the eyeshadow, I didn’t really wear a lot of pink shadows before, but this has a good amount of sparkle to it and I’ve figured out a couple of fun looks with it. And I couldn’t not mention the Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank brush, it’s adorable.

MYGB1

The May bag was a great way to get people in the summery mood, the different ice creams and the fact that to me at least, it smelled like pool floaties. Again, this was a bag where I loved everything but my favorites were the liquid lipstick, which smells like cake batter, the eyeshadow duo, the eyeliner pencil, and the highlighter.

JNGB1

I thought the June bag with the kind of pop art lips was a great choice design wise. I really loved the face masks, the nail polish and the blush from this bag.

JLGB1

The July bag had the cutest design of all with Gudetama gracing the front and back. From this bag my favorites were the cleanser, the moisturizer and the eyeliner. I have repurchased all of them.

AGGB1

On to August, I loved the color of this bag, I know there were a couple of different ones you could get but I liked this one the best and it says Peace, Love and Lipstick on it which is a great motto. I genuinely loved and use everything in this bag.

SGB1

The theme for September was one of my favorites, it was Ipsy Boss. Which was all about channeling your inner boss and owning it. I loved the design of the bag with the black,  the gold zip, the purple/midnight blue fabric on the inside and the little spikes on the outside. I have this in my handbag now as my makeup bag. This was another month where I loved everything and use them all.

OGB1

The October bag had a Halloween flair. It was crimson with a lace overlay and a little bat on the zipper. My favorites from that bag were the nail polish, eyeliner, the liquid lipstick and the hand cream.

NGB9

The second to last bag, from November was very autumnal. And I absolutely loved everything in it.

DGB1

And finally we have the December bag. I won’t say too much about it because I haven’t done my monthly favorites yet. But I will say that I’m a big fan of this bag.

That about wraps it up for this post, Ipsy has sent me a lot of great products this year. What has been the favorite or favorites that you guys have received from Ipsy this year?

Until next time, I hope you guys have had a great year of Glam Bags and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

Blogmas Day 14: December Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day 14! Today I’m going to be showing you guys what I got in my December Glam Bag from Ipsy. The theme this month is Ipsy Snow Globe and besides being wintery it’s all about sharing who you are and your ideas and inspiring one another. The bag itself is, in my opinion, one of the best they’ve done this year. It’s silver and has a sparkly band that wraps around the top and the inside is lined in an aqua fabric. It’s fantastic, so my colors.

DGB1

So first up we have two Purlisse sheet masks. The first is a Green Tea and Ginger Rejuvenating mask for moisturizing and detoxifying. The second is Coconut and Rice Nourishing mask for moisturizing and soothing. I haven’t used any of the Purlisse masks, but I’ve only heard amazing things about them so I can’t wait to put them on.

DGB2

Next up we have the Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume Mascara in Deep Black. I put this on this morning and I was really surprised. With one coat my lashes looked thick and were definitely defined. I’m usually quite picky with my mascara and I like this one.

DGB3

Moving on we have the NYX Slide on Pencil in Brown Perfection. I don’t own any brown eyeliner, but I have green eyes so I’m interested to see what looks I can create.

DGB4

Second to last we have the Seraphine Botanicals Orange and Cream Lip Polish. This smells like creamsicle, which is a delicious smell. I don’t typically use lip scrubs or polishes but I’m definitely willing to give this a try.

DGB5

And lastly we have the Smashbox lipstick I mentioned yesterday. It’s the Be Legendary Lipstick in Legendary. It’s a gorgeous red and I can’t wait to wear it.

DGB6

RLC3

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your December Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

November Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my November Glam Bag from Ipsy and I thought that today would be a good day to go through it. The theme this month is Ipsy All You, which is all about reflecting on what’s important and matters most. With Thanksgiving being next week this is a perfect theme. The bag itself is half mustard and half gold and it’s very autumnal.

NGB9

This bag is full of amazing products, but the first one I’m going to talk about is the ColourPop Pressed Shadow in Come And Get It. I’ve mentioned before how much I love ColourPop but I hadn’t tried any of their eyeshadows. This one is a gorgeous metallic rose and it’s highly pigmented. I will definitely be purchasing more ColourPop eyeshadows in the future.

NGB7

NGB8

Next we have the ‘Tini Beauty Barfly Highlighter in Candlelit. I actually don’t have any highlighter sticks so when I saw this I was immediately interested. Then I swatched it and fell in love. When it hits the light it’s so reflective and I can’t wait to wear it.

NGB6

The third product is the Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in the shade Feisty. I’ve said a thousand times how much I love Tarte and everything in their Amazonian Clay collection is fantastic. This blush in particular is a dusty rose color and is very blendable, which is always a plus with a blush.

NGB5

Second to last we have the SKYN ICELAND Berry Lip Fix with Wintered Red Algae. During the winter the cold can be harsh on your skin and that includes lips, which people tend to forget about, so products like this are great. I haven’t used any of the SKYN products previously, but from everything I’ve heard they’re amazing so I can’t wait to add this in to my skincare routine. And it smells amazing which is a major upside.

NGB3

And lastly we have the EM Cosmetics Infinite Lip Cloud in Rose Nude. I’m wearing this today and I love it. The color is great, it’s whipped so it gives you a really light feeling on the lips and it does last very well through eating and drinking throughout the day. I’m a big fan of EM Cosmetics and I definitely recommend this lipstick.

NGB2

I also want to take a minute to talk about the packaging, EM Cosmetics does it right.

NGB1

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your November Glam Bags let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

October Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

First off, I want to say that I know I’m a couple of days late with this so I want to apologize, I’ve been crazy busy. But anyway, I received my October Glam Bag from Ipsy the other day and I wanted to go through it with you guys. The theme for this month is Ipsy Spellbound. It’s about embracing everything bewitching and what this time of year brings, I love this time of year so I think this is a great theme. Something I don’t often talk about is the little cards that come in the bags, they usually have the hashtag for the month and explain what the theme is. This one in particular says In my defense the moon was full and I was left unsupervised. I think that it’s hilarious and completely accurate. Moving on to the bag itself, it’s red with a lace overlay and a little black bat as the zipper. It’s adorable and is perfect for Halloween without being overkill.

OGB1

The first thing in this month’s bag is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. You guys know how much I love First Aid Beauty, so I was excited when I saw this. I don’t have particularly dry skin but this time of year with the cold I do find myself moisturizing more, especially as the day goes on, so I think I’ll get a lot of use out of this.

OGB2

Next we have the Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics eyeshadow in Bronzed. My only previous experience with Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics was one of their blushes, which I loved, so I was interested to see what their eyeshadows would be like. I can only describe this color as a dirty gold. I haven’t worn it yet, but I have swatched it and it’s quite pretty. It has a nice sparkle to it, it’s very pigmented and it’s buildable. All good things and I can’t wait to wear it.

OGB4

The next product is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. I always say that subscribing to Ipsy was the best thing for my eyeliner collection but it’s true and I’m not complaining about it. I wore this the other day and I bloody love it, it glides on so smooth, doesn’t smudge and it truly lasts all day. Definitely recommend it and it comes in a bunch of different and fun colors.

OGB3

Second to last we have a product that I already love and brand that I have quickly come to love and it’s the MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro. I love a liquid lipstick, most days that’s what I go for so I was intrigued when I saw this in the bag. I’ve honestly fallen in love with it, I will post a picture of myself wearing it, but I did forget the other day. Besides the color being lovely, the formulation as well as the staying power are amazing. I’ll for sure be purchasing other MDMflow lipsticks and I highly recommend them, great brand.

OGB5

OGB6

And lastly, we have a Pretty Woman NYC nail polish in Wine With Ice, Garçon. I’m wearing now and it’s so pretty. It’s a deep wine color and if you wrapped up fall in a bag and put a bow on it, it would look like this nail polish. Some of the things I love about the Pretty Woman nail polishes is they’re long lasting, quick drying and high shine. If you’re looking for a good nail polish, check them out.

OGB7

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your October Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

September Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my September Glam Bag from Ipsy and wanted to go through it with you guys today. This month’s theme is Ipsy Boss. I think it’s a great theme, it’s all about empowerment and being the strongest and most fierce version of yourself. I really like the bag, it’s black and studded, it has a gold zipper and the material on the inside is a bluey purple color.

SGB1

The first thing is two sheet masks and they’re the Beauty Planner masks from Manefit.  The first is Mugwort, Astringent and Pore Care which is supposed to help with clearing your skin and moisturizing. The other is Lily, Whitening and Brightening which is meant to hydrate your skin. I love sheet masks, so I’m excited to try these.

SGB2

The second product we have is the Luxie Beauty 207 Medium Angled Shading Brush. Not only is this brush really soft, but it’s aesthetically pleasing and will look nice with my other brushes. I’ve said this before, but I strongly believe that you can never have too many brushes.

SGB3

Next is the Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey. This blush duo is honestly so pretty, and has a really nice shimmer and shine to it. I haven’t worn them together yet, but I did want to test it this morning so I’m wearing the lighter color as a highlighter and I like it a lot. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good blush.

SGB4

The second to last item is the ColourPop Lippie Stix in the color Glam Bag. I love ColourPop, their lipsticks are incredible and I cannot wait to wear this. It’s matte and I’m all about matte lips right now and I think this is a great color.

SGB5

SGB6

And lastly we have a nail polish. The Adesse New York Organic Infused Gel Effect nail lacquer in the shade Deception. I think the color is great, it’s not quite a gun metal gray, I would say it’s a shade lighter. But I love gray nail polish, especially this time of year.

SGB7

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your September Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you got in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

August Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my August Glam Bag from Ipsy and wanted to share it with you today. The theme for this month is Ipsy Vibes. Good vibes only, peace and love type of thing, which I absolutely love. They had horoscopes on their website this month and I thought it was great. This month there were three different bags given out and the one I got is actually the one that I wanted, it has what will now be my new motto,  Peace, Love and Lipstick and I love the colors.

AGGB1

So the first product is the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. I love the Firma brushes, I have the 102 Blush Brush and I love it, use it all the time. These brushes are incredibly soft and I love the color scheme. I firmly believe that you can never have too many brushes, so I was excited to see this. And definitely check out Firma if you’re looking for brushes.

AGGB2

Next we have the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with red clay. I honestly love First Aid Beauty, their Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer is one of my favorite products, it’s done wonders for my skin. So I’m really excited to try this cleanser.

AGGB3

Moving on we have the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in the shade Light Beige. Let me tell you about this, I’m actually wearing it today and I think it’s got to be one of the best products I’ve used. I have this horribly annoying stress break out on my chin and I figured this would be the perfect time to see what this can really do and I’m honestly so impressed. It’s light to medium coverage, semi matte and it’s buildable, all things I really appreciate. And it’s SPF 34, which is a slightly weird number for an SPF, but nonetheless. Although I will warn you, I went on their website to check out other products and because they are a Korean brand the whole website is in Korean, which is not a language I speak, so it’s a little difficult to navigate.

AGGB4

The second to last product is from the Balm and it’s the Balm Voyage Vol. 2 eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha. This eyeshadow is a shimmery pale peachy color, highly pigmented and really pretty. Would make a great highlight under the brow or in the inner corner of the eye.

AGGB5

And the last product is the Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. You guys know how much I love trying new eyeliner so I was excited to see this and I’m excited to try it.

AGGB6

That about wraps it up for this post. If you guys got any of the same products in your August Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you got in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).
