What I Got For Christmas 2019

Hi everyone,

Today I thought it would be fun to share with you guys what I got for Christmas. I do want to say that I’m in no way trying to brag, I’m one of those people that enjoy reading and watching this type of post. This year I didn’t have a real list of things I wanted, so I was happily surprised by a few of these gifts.

The first thing we have is what was in my stocking. Besides my favorite candy, there was a Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar mist and body lotion. It’s my favorite scent from Bath and Body Works. Along with that there was a little flashlight, I love little practical things like this and you can never have too many flashlights. The last two things that were in my stocking were a mini Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Loose Setting Powder infused with peach and sweet fig milk and the Peach Kiss Lipstick in Sex On The Peach.

WIGC1

I used the setting powder yesterday and today and I really like it. Added bonus, it smells like peaches. The lipstick also smells like peaches and it’s a comfort matte, long wearing and also infused with peach and sweet fig milk. Too Faced lipsticks are always really pigmented and this one is no different. I believe there are 13 shades of the Peach Kiss Lipsticks and I’m definitely going to be purchasing a few more.

WIGC2

WIGC3

Continuing on with the beauty theme, the first thing I unwrapped was the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party set. I was honestly so, so shocked to see this because I had mentioned it in a text to my mom like right after it came out then didn’t say anything after. I was considering buying this for myself as a Christmas gift but it was sold out on Sephora and Too Faced when I looked but for whatever reason I didn’t check at my local Sephora and they had a couple left which I’m super happy about. I’m going to be doing a separate post on this, so I’m not going to get into it too much, but I will say that yesterday I wore a couple of the shadows and I’m really happy with them. It was a good makeup day.

WIGC14

WIGC15

The second beauty item I got was the Sephora Collection Frosted Kisses Lip Stories Lipstick Set. This is also going to get it’s own post, but I will say that I’ve swatched all of these, wore one on Christmas Day and I’m wearing one now. I’m really liking them and I recommend them.

WIGC13

Next up we have a fashion item and it’s this light powder pink shoulder bag from H&M. I have a few different handbags and clutches but nothing like this. Like I said this is a light powder pink suede with silver hardware and leathery handles. It has a snap closure, one medium sized pocket on the very front, the main compartment and another pocket inside the main. You can adjust the way you wear it, so if the handles are the same length then it’s a shoulder bag, but if you stretch it out you can wear it like a crossbody. I didn’t realize when I was taking the pictures that it was a little crooked but that’s because of the pull on the door and not that bag.

WIGC9

WIGC10

WIGC11

WIGC12

Moving on we have a couple of practical things. The first is a 2020 Erin Condren Planner. I got my first Erin Condren Planner last Christmas and it was an absolute game changer, so I knew I had to have one for the new year. This will be getting it’s own post, but I did go for a different pattern, different colors and I put my first and middle name on it.

WIGC6

WIGC7

The second practical gift I got was a calendar. I have a couple of calendars that I use for different things and sometimes they’re different sizes but this one is my main calendar. There are two or three themes I typically go for when it comes to calendars, this one is jet themed. And has some great pictures.

WIGC4

WIGC5

And the last thing we have is music related, and it’s the Doobie Brothers Live From The Beacon Theatre Blu-Ray and CD Set. I talked about this when it came out, I have it on my phone and they showed a little bit of it on PBS. I like to have a physical copy of music, hence the CD Set and if I can help it I buy all discs in Blu-Ray. So I’m excited to have a music night and watch the full concert.

WIGC8

That about wraps it up for this post, I did also receive some socks, because it’s not Christmas if you don’t get socks, and a mug but it’s currently in the dishwasher because I used it this morning.

Until next time, enjoy your gifts and I hope you all had an amazing Christmas :).

April Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of April, I thought today would be the perfect day to do my favorites. I think that I have a pretty good mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my April Sephora Play Box, I’ll leave a link to that down below if you haven’t read it. The first is the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. I’ve been using an eye cream that I really liked but I was interested by this because I’m a big Clinique fan. And since I started using it I’ve not been disappointed. It hydrates, brightens and I feel like I look more refreshed. So this now has a permanent spot in my skincare cabinet.

APB9

My second Sephora Play favorite is the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer in Smoothing Primer. I really like this, it smells good and it’s lightweight. It also really locks in my makeup and when I put it on I feel like it really gives me an extra nice surface to work with. If you’re looking for a new primer I would say definitely check this one out.

APB7

My last Sephora Play favorite is the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Treatment in Dream. I put this on before I go to bed and the next morning I can see/feel the difference. My lips are very moisturized and they have a slight plump to them. This also smells really good and there’s a slight pink tint to it so if you wanted to wear this during the day you’d get a little color.

APB4

APB5

APB6

And my last beauty favorite is hairstyle. I got bored a few weeks ago and wanted to change up my bun a little so after I pulled my hair into a high ponytail I decided to braid it then shape it into the bun and I’m really happy with how it turned out. APRF3

APRF2

Next I have a fashion favorite and it’s this off the shoulder light blue top with little flowers on the sleeves from H&M. I bought this a little while and hadn’t had a chance to wear it yet, so when Easter came around I figured it was a good time. And I finished this look with a pair of white wedges. I don’t know if you can still get this top but they have quite a few other off the shoulder options.

APRF6

Moving on I have a food favorite and it’s Meiji Hello Panda cookies. I was at the grocery store a few weeks ago in the Asian food section looking for Pocky and I saw these next to it on the shelf. And they’re little cream filled cookies that are shaped like pandas and have pandas doing various activities on them. I bought them in strawberry and in the store they also had chocolate, which I want to try and I believe there are other flavors you can get online. But they’re really good and a fun little snack.

APRF4

APRF5

My second to last favorite is a puzzle I did at the beginning of the month. You guys know how much I love puzzles. This one is 1,000 pieces and it took me a little longer to complete than the last one I did but most of the pieces are similar color, which in the grand scheme of things I appreciate. But this is a Thomas Kinkade and it’s a winter scene. Thomas Kinkade puzzles are always so pretty and I have a few sitting in my Amazon cart right now.

APRF1

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the Doobie Brothers Brotherhood album. This album falls into that time period of the band’s music that I didn’t previously know a lot about and I only recently got into. And let me tell you, this album in my opinion, is super underrated. I mean top to bottom it’s full of fantastic, well written, well produced songs. If you haven’t ever listened to it, I would 100% recommend doing so.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what you favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great April :).

Summer 2018 OOTD’s and makeup looks

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing one of my favorite posts, OOTD’s and makeup looks, and this one is for summer. I have three different looks I’m going to be featuring, so let’s get into it.

The first look we have is one that I’ve been going for a lot more when I can, no makeup. In Washington, and pretty much everywhere else, a lot of this summer has been a ridiculous heat wave. So putting on makeup hasn’t been my first choice. As for my outfit, I went with a plain black tank top and a pair of floral shorts from Forever 21, I’ll link them down below if I can find the link, and a gold chain necklace.

SO1

SO4

This particular existence, I had showered and was feeling the natural look. I did use two products though, after I showered I used the Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel, which I love and one hundred percent recommend. It clears your pores and removes dead skin and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. And I also used the SKYN Iceland Berry Lip Fix with Wintered Red Algae, I’ve talked about this before, you guys know how much I love this. It’s super hydrating and that’s always important, especially during incredible cold or incredible hot.

My second look is from the Fourth of July and I always like to have fun with my look.

SO2

SO6

Starting with my face, and after my morning routine, the first thing I do is put on my foundation which is the L’Oreal Paris True Match super-blendable foundation in N2, Classic Ivory. I then apply my concealer which is the matching True Match concealer in N 1-2-3, Fair/Light and for the spots I want a little heavier coverage I use the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige and I blend that in with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender, which I know is really dirty, but I ordered some new ones so they should be here soon. And I topped that off with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder which I apply with an e.l.f. powder brush. Bronzer and blush wise, I went with my classic e.l.f. combo from the two palettes in the top corner. The bronzer I apply with my favorite Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour brush and I use a big fluffy brush to apply my blush. The final thing I do is highlighter and for that I used the Too Faced Super Fun Night palette from the Too Faced Best Year Ever makeup collection. It’s called Dashing Through The Glow and it’s a gorgeous champagne color.

SO7

For my eyes I used one of my go to palettes, the Too Faced Smokey Eye and I used Smolder, which is blue and I used a Bare Escentuals eye shadow brush to apply and blend a little and I put White Lie in the inner corner of my eye and under my brows. I did a little winged liner and for that I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper and Mascara was Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume in Deep Black. As always I used an angled brush and filled in my brows with Up In Smoke and finished the look off with the LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Color Me Confident, it’s a really pretty cranberry red and it has great staying power.

For the third look, I was feeling a little extra girly and this was the result. This dress, which is one of the most comfortable I own, is from H&M and again, if I can find a link I’ll put it down below.

SO3

SO5

I pretty much used the same products for this look, except I used the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. It gives you a really pretty glow and I really like the way the sparkle in it works with the sparkle and shine of the highlighter. And I used the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder. I really love this powder, it really sets my makeup and I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the market for a new powder.

SO8

For the rest of my look, starting with my eyes, I used the e.l.f. Everyday Smoky palette. The eye shadow I used is the second to last gray shade, it has a little bit of sparkle to it and it blends nicely. In the inner corner of my eye and under my brows I used the third color in, it’s really nice pale sparkly pink. I used the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion for my eye liner, the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir. I love this mascara it really does give major volume. I filled in my brows with Up In Smoke and I finished it off with one of my favorite lipsticks, Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Let’s Go Crazy.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always enjoy doing these, so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun with your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).

Summer and other bits haul

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing a haul. Over the past month/month and a half I’ve been doing a little shopping and picked up some fun bits and pieces that I’m excited about, so let’s get into it.

Starting with fashion, spring in the Pacific Northwest has been very cold and rainy it’s basically an extension of winter with a small handful of nice days thrown in so far. So when I do go shopping I’ve been buying for mainly summer and the first thing I bought is a black and white polka dot dress from H&M. If I can find a link for this and any other item I will put down below. I don’t normally wear a lot of dresses, I have one in my wardrobe that I really love to wear in the summer and I have a couple for dressier occasions, but that’s about it. But when I saw this one I really liked it so I went for it and I’m glad I did. The fit is fantastic and it’s one of those dresses that is super versatile. It can easily be worn as is, dressed up or dressed down.

SPH1

Next I went to Forever 21 where I picked up two things and the first is a pair of shorts. Recently I’ve really been liking floral patterns and one of the things I like about these shorts is the pattern isn’t overwhelming.

SPH2

And the other thing I picked up is a pair of white with black polka dot flip flops. I wear a lot of flip flops during the summer so I’m always buying new pairs.

SPH3

Moving on to beauty, you guys know how the e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet is one of my favorites, well, I went to put mine on last week and it broke. Having a lipstick break is always an inconvenience so I picked up another one.

SPH6

SPH7

The last beauty item I purchased is the Bath and Body Works Pineapple Colada Gentle Exfoliating Hand Soap with Monoi Oil. I cannot even tell you how good this smells, it’s the perfect summer smell. I hadn’t really looked into the Bath and Body Works hand soaps before but I definitely recommend them.

SPH5

Second to last we have two practical things, both from Amazon. The first is an Anker phone charging cable. This is just the basic three foot cable, but Anker is a great brand for all cables/cords or anything else you might need.

And the second item is a wallet. I had my old wallet forever and kept saying that I was going to get a new one but never did. It finally quit and I couldn’t keep it closed. I found this one kind of by accident but it’s absolutely perfect. It’s turquoise with a gold bow and gold hardware and it has a ton of room on the inside.

SPH4

And lastly we have the thing that I’m probably the most excited about in this whole haul. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but one of my hobbies is coin/currency collecting and I’m always on the lookout for new things to add to my collection. I was on Etsy looking for a birthday present for my dad and I came across this shop called Coin Corner and was immediately interested. I ended up finding a present for my dad, I got him a wheat penny from his birth year, and I found a steel penny from 1943 which I knew I had to have. I knew steel pennies existed but I had never seen or held one, so I did buy it and I’m so happy with it. I think it’s the coolest thing.

SPH9

SPH10

That about wraps it up for this post, I always like doing hauls so look out for more of them in the future.

Until next time, have fun shopping and I can’t wait for warmer weather :).

December favorites/2017 wrap up

Hi everyone,

Today, as we are in the last couple days of December and of 2017, I thought it would be the perfect day to do my December favorites and wrap up this year. So, starting with beauty and I have a couple of favorites from my December Glam Bag, if you haven’t read that post I’ll link it below, and the first is the bag itself. It’s silver with a band of silver sparkles around the top and the inside as well as the zipper is aqua and I love it. Not only is it wintery, but it’s so my colors.

DF13

My next Glam Bag favorite is the Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume Mascara in Deep Black. I’ve worn this a couple of times and I really like it. It does give my lashes volume and thickness.

DGB3

And my last Glam Bag favorite is the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Legendary. I’ve always liked the Smashbox lipsticks and this one is no different. It’s a gorgeous red, it’s long lasting and it doesn’t dry out your lips like some red lipsticks can do. I definitely recommend it.

DGB6

I want to make a note quickly and say that I haven’t yet had a chance to try out the Purlisse sheet masks, but I will let you know what I think once I have.

Next up I’m going to talk about a few of the things that I got for Christmas and for that I’ll start with my stocking. The first thing I pulled out of my stocking was a set of four gold rings from H&M. I love rings and these are the perfect simple accessory.

DF1

The next thing was a full sized Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar 24 hour moisture Ultra Shea body cream. This is one of my favorite scents from Bath and Body Works and probably my favorite lotion.

DF2

The rest of my stocking was full of a loofa, some toiletries (toothpaste, makeup wipes, etc) and candy.

Moving on to some of my presents, there are a few that I wanted to mention and the first is a curling iron. I was in desperate need of a medium sized curling iron, I have one with a small barrel and one with a really big barrel, but I was lacking some middle ground so this is perfect. It’s a Conair Instant Heat curling iron with a 1 1/4 barrel. I’ve always liked  Conair because I have a lot of hair and it’s thick and these get really hot and create nice curls.

DF3

Next up is one of my favorite gifts I received and it’s the Too Faced Best Year Ever collection. You guys know how much I love Too Faced and I’m so in love with this. It comes in a little zip up case that is gold with pink stripes on the outside and it says “I have way more makeup at home” on the front.

DF4

When you open it you see black and white stripes and the three palettes are stacked on one another and there is a mini Better Than Sex mascara on the top. It also comes with a little booklet that has four different looks and how to create them.

DF5

Like I said, there’s three palettes and they are I Believe in Pink, Natural Beauty and Super Fun Night.

DF6

I Believe in Pink has six eyeshadows ranging from super light pink to purple with a blush in the shade Pink Poinsettia. I have over the last three days worn at least one color from each palette and these shadows are very pigmented and look fantastic on.

DF7

Natural Beauty has six eyeshadows in the gold and brown shades and a bronzer in Warm My Heart.

DF8

And Super Fun Night has six eyeshadows in a mix of different colors and a highlighter in Dashing Through The Glow.

DF9

I will be doing a more in depth post on the Best Year Ever in the new year, so look out for that.

And the last beauty related thing is actually a sample that I got with the Too Faced collection. It was a small bottle of the Atelier Mandarine Glaciale perfume. I’m going to be honest with you guys, the second I smelled it I was in love. It has mandarin, ginger and vetiver and is a really fresh and warming scent. It also reminds me of something from when I younger, but I can’t remember what it is. I did order a full size bottle of this and it is on the pricier side but Sephora offers it in at least two sets that I’ve seen that have other Atelier scents.

I have a couple of clothing favorites, this Christmas was very sports heavy for my family and none of us were mad about it. When it comes to college football USC is my team and I was lacking in things to wear on game day but now that’s not the case. First up is a racerback ombre tank top. Ignore the wrinkles, I had it folded. But I love a tank top and can’t wait to wear this.

DF10

Next we have a white V-neck t-shirt that says Fight On! which is the name of the USC fight song. What I like about this shirt is it’s incredibly soft and it’s slightly on the baggy side, not overly but I tried it on and it looks great tucked into jeans.

DF11

And finally we have a black and gray hoodie. I don’t think I’ve taken this off since I got it, it’s fleece lined on the inside and it does a great job keeping me warm.

DF12

USC plays Ohio State tomorrow in the Cotton Bowl and I think it’s going to be a great game. Go Trojans!

And my last couple of favorites are music favorites. The first is the Ed Sheeran song Perfect. Everyone has been talking about this song recently and with good reason, it’s fantastic. If you somehow haven’t heard it yet, go and listen to it.

The last two are from Robbie Williams Under The Radar Vol. 2 album, which came out recently and my two favorites from this album are Bambi and 9 To 5. Bambi is one of my favorite songs of 2017, it’s a fun and very Robbie Williams. And I love the fact that he covered 9 to 5, if you like the original version of the song then you’ll like this one.

That about wraps it up for this post and I want to take a minute and thank you guys for reading, liking and commenting this year. 2017 was a crazy year and I can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring.

Until next time, I hope you all had a great December and 2017 and I appreciate every one of you :).
