Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Summer 2017

Hi everyone,

Today, as summer is pretty much over, I wanted to share three of my favorite outfits and makeup looks from summer 2017. I’ve done a couple of these previously and I really enjoy them. So the first look is from July and I’m still so in love with it, I don’t know where the shorts are from as they were a gift but the necklace I bought at Forever 21 ages ago.

So, starting with my face and after going through my morning routine, I started with my foundation, which I am out of but I’m going on a little shop tomorrow to pick up another, I use the L’Oreal Paris true match super-blendable foundation in the shade N2, Classic Ivory. To go with that I use the matching L’Oreal true match concealer in N 1-2-3, Fair/Light and I top that with the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer and use an e.l.f. powder brush to apply. I’m almost out of that too, but I ordered the Tarte Amazonian Clay finishing powder so I’ll let you know what I think of that. As for my bronzer I use the bronzer in the e.l.f. blush palette in light and the blush I used is the blush from the palette on the right in the bottom left corner. And finishing off my face I use the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin, still my favorite highlighter definitely recommend it and I apply that with the e.l.f. fan brush.

Moving on to eyes, I went to one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, the e.l.f. Everyday Smoky palette. I used the two brown shades in the middle, I applied the lighter brown with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and blended the darker brown with the Skone blending brush and used another brush to apply a light shimmer, third from the left, to the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. Mascara wise I used my trusty Maybelline Falsies Volum Express and Maybelline Great Lash and using an angle brush, I filled in my brows using Too Faced Up in Smoke. And I finished the look with a Too Faced Melted Matte lipstick, which are some of my favorite lipsticks, in the shade Queen B.

My second look is from July 4th and I always love doing a festive look.

Face wise I kept everything the same as my last look.

For my eyes I used Smolder from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and blended it out and used White Lie in the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is one of my favorites, I’ve talked about it many times, and it’s the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a Brush Tip. The Falsies and Great Lash for my lashes and Up in Smoke for my brows. And of course I had to do a red lip, so I used the Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. This is hands down one of my favorite red lipsticks.

And my last look is actually from yesterday and not technically an OOTD. But I was wearing dark skinny jeans and a Ramones shirt.

For this look I did use a couple of different products. In addition to my normal concealer I used the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige, this gives great coverage and I definitely recommend it, and I apply that with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. I also used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush. It’s a great size and it’s one of the softest brushes I own. And the final thing I changed was my blush. This time I used the Balm, Balm Springs blush in the shade In Full Swing.

This look is something I don’t normally do and I didn’t know how it would look on me but I ended up really liking it and I already know a couple of things I want to do different next time to enhance it. For this I used the Hikari Cosmetics cream pigment in Honey Dew. I had used this as a highlight shade but not as a base, but it’s very pigmented and the color payoff is great. I then used White Lie on the inner corner and under my brows. The eyeliner I used is Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner. The Falsies and Great Lash on my lashes and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème in 246, Slow Burn. I really like the formulation of the Marc Jacobs lipsticks and they last, which is a major plus.

That about wraps it up for this post. Like I said, I really enjoy doing these posts so I’ll probably do another for fall.

Until next time, take as many OOTD pictures as possible and have fun with your looks :).

Three easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- Spring 2017

Hi everyone,

This week I wanted to do something I did last summer and really enjoyed. And that’s going through three of my recent outfits and makeup looks. I said that I may do one in the winter, but I totally forgot, and here we are. I went through my recent Instagram’s and picked the ones I liked best and I think the oldest is from April, so these are recent. And if you don’t follow me on Instagram, it will be below like always. So starting with the first one, this one is the one from April, so it was still a bit cold and rainy, and I wanted a fun look.

Starting with my face, after I did my morning routine and prepped it, I started with my foundation. I’m still using and still loving the L’Oreal true match super-blendable foundation and I’m the shade N2, Classic Ivory. For my concealer I use the matching true match concealer in N 1-2-3 Fair/ Light. Next I use the e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer on my whole face and apply with an e.l.f. powder brush. As for bronzer I used the e.l.f. Blush Palette in light, as you can see I ran out of it in the original palette, so I did buy another one and I use an angled contour brush. And finally for blush I use the same e.l.f Blush Palette and I use the blush in the bottom left corner (palette on the right) with a big fluffy brush. And finally for my highlight I used the Manna Kadar 3 in 1 highlighter/ bronzer/ eyeshadow in Fantasy and to apply that I use the e.l.f. fan brush. If you don’t own a fan brush I definitely recommend getting one.

Moving on to eyes, for my shadow I used a Hikari Cream Pigment in Latte and a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush to apply and blend. In the  inner corner of my eye and under my eyebrow I used White Lie from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette, then I used Maybelline Expert Wear in Velvet Black eyeliner. When it comes to my mascara I still use two, first I use the Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express, it has a slightly curved brush, which I love, then I use my eyelash curler and on top of that I use the Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes. I’ve been using that on my bottom lashes as well. And finally I comb out my lashes making sure there’s no clumps. The second to last thing I do is fill in my brows. I brush them out, then with and angled brush I fill them in using Up in Smoke from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette. It’s pretty much the perfect match for my brows, a nice ashy brown. And the last thing I do is my lips. For this look I used the NYX Butter Lipstick in Ripe Berry.  And I finished it with a top knot.

The second look is less of an OOTD, but I really like this look. In the interest of fair reporting I was wearing a Mariners shirt and blue skinny jeans.

For my face I used the same products, but changed my highlighter to the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder highlighter in Sin. This highlighter is amazing, I definitely recommend it.

For my eyes I used In a Flash from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette and White Lie in the inner corner and under my eyebrow. The EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip, if you’re looking for a liquid eyeliner this is a great one. The Falsies and Great Lash for my mascara, Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and one of my favorite lipsticks, the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb. And a braided, side ponytail to finish.

And my last look is from Monday. The weather has been gorgeous lately, so I went with a summer dress. I forgot how much I like wearing summer dresses.

I pretty much kept my face as the last look for this one.

This look I like a lot, for my eyes I used both colors in the Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense eyeshadow duo in Electric. I used the rose gold one as the base and blended in a tiny bit of the gold. In the inner corner and under my eyebrow I used the Hikari Cream Pigment in Honey Dew, it’s a gorgeous sparkly pink. Eyeliner was the EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner with a brush tip. The Falsies and Great Lash mascara. Up in Smoke to fill in my brows and finally for lips I used the Cake Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. And a top knot to finish off the look.

That about wraps it up for this post, I’ll probably do another one of these come summer because I really enjoy them.

Until next time, enjoy your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).

March favorites

Hi everyone,

As it is the end of March, I thought today would be the perfect time to do my March favorites.  I think I have a good mix this month, so lets get into it. Starting off with beauty, I have a couple of things from my March Glam Bag. If you haven’t read that post I’ll leave a link to it below. So, the first thing is actually the bag itself. I like this one the most out of the ones I’ve gotten so far. The design is super cute and the space is incredible. Because of the space, I started using it as a makeup bag in my new handbag.

My next favorite from the Glam Bag is the Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Rosé.  I already have two of these in different shades, Fly and OG, and I love them. I want one of every shade they make.

And my last Glam Bag favorite is the Marc Anthony True Professional aloe vera and jasmine deep repairing conditioning treatment. This really does do what it says it will. After using it my hair felt so soft and it was less frizzy. Plus it smells incredible. So I will definitely be ordering another one of these.

Sticking with beauty, my next favorite is an eyeshadow palette. It’s the Everyday Smoky palette from e.l.f. There is a mix of shimmery and matte shade, every color is so pretty and the color payoff is amazing. A lot of the palettes I have are mostly warm tones, so it’s nice to have another one that is cool tones. I highly recommend this and any of the e.l.f. eyeshadow palettes.

And the last beauty favorite is skincare related. I don’t have a picture, but it’s the e.l.f. Illuminating Eye Cream with Purified Water, Cucumber and Green Tea. I got a sample of this when I received my eyeshadow palette and fell in love. I do occasionally have puffiness and  bags under my eyes and this put the moisture back into my skin and made them disappear like a good eye cream should. So I’ve placed an order for a full sized version.

Moving on to fashion, recently I’ve been looking for a new handbag. Something not too spendy, but not cheap and will fall apart if it touches the ground and I definitely found that. This bag is from H&M and I’m so in love with it. It has two handles at the top plus a shoulder strap, which is detachable, the main compartment in the middle, plus one large compartment on each side that has a zipper. Another smaller zip pocket on the inside and two more small pockets. Four gold studs on the bottom and a black lining along the outer edge. I personally love all of the gold hardware and it doesn’t clash with the color which I think officially is Light Taupe. But I know you can also get this bag in black and white.

From fashion we go to books where we have How to Drag Race by Kevin McKenna. This book is honestly a fantastic resource for anyone who wants to break in to drag racing or needs help with the set up and tuning of their car. There is a ton of great information in there and I seriously recommend buying a copy, I bought mine on Amazon.

My second to last favorite is a song, and it’s Hangin’ Around by Edgar Winter. I came across this song by chance on Pandora and I thought it was great. I know a few Edgar Winter songs, but had never heard this one and I’m glad that I did. If you’re not familiar with it definitely look it up on YouTube. It’s a fun song.

And my last favorite for this month is a TV show. Dancing with the Stars to be exact. This season is season 24 and I’ve been watching since the beginning. There is a lot of talent this season and a little bit of crazy. If you follow me on Twitter, then you know on Monday nights there’s some DWTS tweets happening. But this season my favorite couples are Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko and David Ross and Lindsay Arnold. If any of you guys are watching this season let me know who you’re rooting for and what you think of the season so far.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any of the same favorites as me let me know and if not let me know what your favorites were for this month.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you’re having a good March :).

January favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of January I thought it was time for me to do my January favorites. I honestly can’t believe that it’s almost February. This month really did fly by. I think I have a pretty good mix of things this month, so le’s get into it. So starting with beauty, my first favorite is a product I talked about in my Glam Bag post, which I’ll link below, so I’m not going to get too much into it. But it’s the 3 in 1 highlighter/bronzer/eye shadow in Fantasy from Manna Kadar Beauty. I’ve been using it regularly since I unboxed it and I’m still loving it. The color is great and I recommend it. And it does look funny in the picture because I dropped it..

The next favorite is also from my January Glam Bag, but when I posted that I hadn’t had a chance to use it. But it’s a nail polish from Pretty Woman NYC in the shade I’m Not A Ballerina. I’m going to be honest with you guys, I’m so in love with this polish. From the color to the staying power, it’s great nail polish. The formulation is great and it pretty much does what it says on the box. Fast-drying, long-lasting, and resists chipping, cracking, fading and peeling for up to ten days. I can definitely see myself reaching for this a lot come spring and summer and the next time I’m looking for nail polish I will be browsing the Pretty Woman NYC website.

So keeping with the nail polish theme, my next favorite is from Sally Hansen in the Complete Salon Manicure range and it’s in the shade 581, Black and Blue. So basically for Christmas my friend Aimee gifted me with some nail polish and tools to create fun manicures and this is one of them. One of the things I like about this is how it changes depending on the light that’s hitting it and ultimately it’s really pretty. It almost in certain lights reminds me of a Sephora nail polish, I think it was Sephora x OPI in Mermaid To Order, which I really liked.

So my last nail polish themed item is also from Sally Hansen and it’s the Big Matte Top Coat. In the past I haven’t always liked matte nails but I’ve used this a couple of times and I like it a lot. In my opinion it’s one of the better matte top coats.

My last beauty favorite is something I talked about in my What I got for Christmas post, which I’ll link below, and that is the Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar 24 hour moisture ultra shea body lotion. This is one of my favorite lotions, it makes my skin so incredibly soft and if you don’t like this scent I would recommend any of the Bath and Body Works lotions.

So moving on to fashion, my first favorite is a pair of earrings. What I like about these earrings is the simple elegance. The gold with the intricate pattern in the center adds a lot of detail and they are incredibly light weight which I appreciate.

My next favorite is a shirt that I’m kind of obsessed with. It’s a nice blush pink with a crochet detail on the front and I can’t wait until the warmer months so I can wear this.

And my last fashion favorite is the slippers I got for Christmas. I’ve pretty much been wearing them non stop since I got them because it’s been freezing and they keep my feet so warm.

My next favorite is a music favorite and it’s a ukulele. I think that I’ve mentioned before that I’ve always been musical. I sing, I can kind of play the piano and I’ve been talking about wanting to play the ukulele for a few years so I’m super excited to learn. This ukulele is gorgeous and it has a great sound. It’s from Kala Brand Music Co. and I would recommend checking them out if you’re in the market for a ukulele.

To go with the ukulele I have the Absolute Beginners Ukulele by Steven Sproat. It comes with a CD to play along with, which I find super helpful. I can read music but sometimes it’s helpful to play by sound alone.

My next favorite is a food and drink favorite. Something that I absolutely love is tea. And specifically Pure Leaf tea. My favorite is the Sweet Tea. What I like about this brand is it tastes great and there’s only a few ingredients so you know what you’re drinking which is nice.

And finally, my last favorite I know I’ve talked about before, but it’s the IMSA racing series. Next to the NHRA, which I will be blogging about once the season starts, IMSA is my favorite series. They kicked off their season over the weekend with the Rolex 24 (24 Hours of Daytona) and from start to finish it was an incredible race. It made me really excited for the rest of the season because I know it’s going to be good.

That about wraps it up for this post. I’ll probably do another favorites post next month, but we’ll see. If you guys have any of the same favorites let me know and if not let me know what your January favorites are.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you all had a good January :).

What I got for Christmas/2016 wrap-up

Hi everyone,

This week I wanted to talk about some of the things that I got for Christmas, I’m not trying to brag or anything like that, I genuinely like reading/ watching things like this so I thought that I would do one, and I want to do a sort of 2016 wrap-up. I originally wasn’t going to post before the end of the year, but I figured why not. So I’m only including a few of the things I got for Christmas because I have a whole other post planned for the rest of them. So starting off in the area of beauty, the first thing is a couple of Bath and Body Works products. Bath and Body Works is a store that I absolutely love and I’m always buying things in there. Starting on the left, it’s a Vanilla Bean Noel hand sanitizer. I love these hand sanitizers and I have one in every handbag. I’ve always like this scent, it kind of reminds me of the Betty Crocker vanilla frosting my mom would frost cakes with when I was a kid. The next is Warm Vanilla Sugar 24 hour moisture ultra shea body lotion. This is my favorite of the vanilla scents. I think it has a brown sugary undertone, so it’s not overpowering and I love that it’s 24 hour moisture. Definitely recommend it. And the last is the Winter White Woods hand sanitizer. I had never smelled this scent before, but it has quickly become one of my favorites. It smells like coconut, but it also has a masculine undertone. Almost like a fresh man and it blends together nicely. It also leaves a nice sparkle behind after you use it.

The next thing is the Too Faced Melted Merry Kissmas The Ultimate Liquified Lipstick Set. I love Too Faced and I’ve been wanting to try some of their melted lipsticks for a while, but never got around to ordering any.

So far I’ve worn three of the four and I’m really happy with them.

So starting on the top we have Chocolate Honey. I would say in the past year I’ve been wearing more nude and brown toned lipsticks, and I really liked this one. Plus it smells like chocolate which is amazing. The second one is Chihuahua. It is in that nudey/brown mix and it looked different when I put it on my lips than it does on my hand, I should’ve taken a picture. But the next time I wear it I’ll post on to my Instagram. The third lipstick is the one I haven’t worn yet and that is Fig. It has nice berry tones, so I’m excited to wear it because I don’t wear a lot of berry toned lipsticks, but if I like this one I probably will. And the last one is matte and it’s in the shade Lady Balls. I’ve mentioned before that I tend to be picky with the red lipsticks I wear, but I like this one a lot. It’s slightly darker than what I usually go for, but it’s a definite keeper. It’s quick drying and it doesn’t feel like all the moisture is being taken out of my lips like it can with matte lipsticks. Overall I really like the formulation of these melted lipsticks and now I want to try all of the colors.

The last beauty thing I don’t have a picture of, but my sister gifted me with an Ipsy subscription. This is something that I probably wouldn’t buy for myself, but I’m excited about it because I love trying new products and I’ll definitely be talking about it come 2017.

So moving on to clothing, we have some Seahawks gear because it isn’t Christmas at my house without something Seahawks related. So the first thing is a Kam Chancellor shirt. Kam is one of my favorite players and he’s a beast, so I’m happy to wear this shirt. It has his number which is 31 on the front and the back and his last name on the back.

The next thing is a hat. I don’t have enough wintery hats so when I saw this one I instantly loved it and knew I had to have it. It’s a dark blue with silver running through it, it has the white pom pom on the top and the Seahawks logo on the front. It’s also knitted and incredibly soft.

The next thing is something that most people get every year and that is a calendar. This one in particular is a Beatles calendar and I love it. What I like about this one besides the pictures is that the dates are on what looks like sheet music and each month is a different song title.

So the second to last thing is a selfie stick. I was 100% one of those people who said how ridiculous they are and how I would never use one. But earlier in the month I was at a family event and couldn’t fit everyone in the picture, no one had long enough arms. But I never said it out loud, so it was kind of a surprise to me but I kinda love it. And I can see myself using it in the future.

And the last thing is something that I’m so happy about and that is new slippers. In the past I hadn’t really worn slippers a lot, but this winter has been so cold I’ve been wearing them every day and needed a new pair. These are from Dearfoams and they are the best slippers. They are lined with fur on the outside and a little on the inside where you put your foot in. I can honestly say these are the most comfortable slippers I’ve ever owned. It’s like walking on a pillow. I honestly recommend them as a brand if you’re looking for new slippers.

That wraps it up for the What I got for Christmas part. So now I want to talk about 2016 a little bit. And honestly, I want to thank every single person who read, liked, commented, followed and took the time to look at my blog. It means so much to me and I really appreciate it and it makes me a little emotional. I’m looking forward to 2017 and I’ve already started planning future blog posts. I think it’s going to be a great year.

Until next time, thank you again for all the support and I’ll see you in 2017 :).

November favorites

Hi everyone,

As it is the end of November, I figured it was time to do my November favorites. I can’t believe how fast this year has gone and that it’s about to be December, but I have some fun December posts planned that I’m excited for and hopefully you guys will be too. But coming back to now, the first thing I wanted to talk about is Thanksgiving. If you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, then I hope you had a good Thursday anyway. This year my family had a pretty small gathering and it was really chill and fun. We ate too much food, played games and along with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, we watched all of the football games and it was a lot of fun. But to go with all of that, I made an apple pie and I’m really happy with how it came out and it was so good.

It did end up cracking a little when I took it out of the oven. But other than that I think it’s one of my favorites that I’ve made and I’ll link my two pie recipe post down below.

My next favorite is something that’s relatively new and that is The Grand Tour on Amazon. The Grand Tour is Amazon’s newest motoring show starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May formerly of Top Gear. So far I’ve only seen two episodes and I love it. Top Gear was one of my favorite shows and when everything went down I really hoped that the boys would be able to go somewhere else and have a show and I’m so happy they were able to. It’s so nice to see them happy and being able to do what they love. So definitely check it out if you haven’t yet.

My third favorite is also from Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May and that is their new motoring blog if you will, DriveTribe. Basically if you like something on wheels you’ll probably be able to find a tribe about it and if you can’t then you can start your own which I’m not going to lie, I have considered but we’ll see. But I think it’s a great platform to get people together and talk about a common interest. This just officially launched on Monday, so if you haven’t had a chance to look at it yet definitely do. They also have a DriveTribe app that you can download.

I’d also like to point out that The Grand Tour now has their own Snapchat filter because they’ve completely taken over social media and I’m not mad about it.

My next couple of favorites are items of clothing that I wear throughout the whole year, but wore a lot in November because it’s gotten cold.

This first thing is kind of a cardigan/ throw on and go type of thing. I got it from Forever 21 and I love it. It’s a nice grey that goes with pretty much everything and it’s lightweight and has a little bit of stretch to it so layering under it wouldn’t be and isn’t a problem.

This next one I wear a lot in the winter months. It’s a knitted acrylic fabric and it’s an off white with strips of black, grey, and a blue/green in between. I like that the sleeves are cuffed and it keeps me warm and again layering is not a problem. And it goes with most anything and versatility is pretty great. And I bought this at Kohl’s.

Next up we have a sweatshirt that I absolutely love. My sister bought me this for my birthday two years ago and I think it’s perfect for this time of year for a couple of reasons. The first being that it’s fleece on the inside so it’s one of the softest and warmest things I own. And the second is it’s football season and I love my Seahawks. It’s kind of hard to tell, but on the front it’s a heart with the number 12 inside of it. Us Seahawks fans like to call ourselves the 12s because there are eleven men on the field and we make enough noise to impact the game and the plays that we feel like we’re part of the team and the Seahawks feel that way too. There’s a reason a 12 flag flies on top of the Space Needle.

And my last item of clothing is this Under Armour sweatshirt. I got this last Christmas and there are times when I can pretty much live in it. It’s incredibly soft on the inside and warm, it’s thicker than my 12 sweatshirt so I can wear it in colder temperatures. I don’t usually wear a lot of pink, but this is the right amount. It’s offset by the grey and it has different shades of pink and other colors in the logo and the hood. It’s also part of their Storm series so if you’re wearing it out in the rain and if it’s not pouring the water will bead off of it which is a plus.

And my last two favorites are two apps. The first is Timehop. I have mine synched to my Instagram, Facebook and Camera Roll and a lot of the times it makes me cringe seeing things I’ve posted in the past, but sometimes it makes me laugh a lot. It’s a great app.

And the last one is Duolingo. If you don’t know Duolingo helps you learn different languages which I’m all about. I took a little bit of French in high school, but I don’t remember a lot of it so I’m relearning it on Duolingo and I love it. It makes it super easy and it’s fun.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always enjoy writing favorites posts and I can’t wait until the next one :).

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a good November :).

Costumes of Halloweens past

Hi everyone,

Today, as Halloween is coming up and everyone is either throwing or going to parties, I wanted to talk about costumes. I love to dress up and always have, so this is a fun time for me. I figured I would take a look back at some of the costumes I’ve worn and kind of talk about how I styled them and whatnot. The first look is from 2012, and that’s the year that I was Sandy from Grease, but the bad Sandy. Probably since I first saw the movie I had wanted to be Sandy for Halloween, so when I got the chance I was so excited. And I think I pulled it off pretty well too :). I bought the outfit itself from Party City and when it came to styling I went, of course, with the curly hair and classic red lip. And I paired that with a smokey eye with colors from a Stila palette and winged liner. The lipstick I used was from Maybelline and it’s in 640, Ruby Star. And all that was finished off with nude heels, diamond stud earrings and red nails. I also had blue and pink feathers in my hair at the time, so that added a little extra fun :). Also, excuse my weird choice of pose.

The next costume is from 2013, and I called this Bloody Prom Queen. It was basically a riff on Carrie, but much less bloody. The cool thing about this costume is it ended up costing me about $3.00. The dress I had in the back of my closet, the shoes, which were the same ones I used for the previous years costume, I already had. Those heels weren’t purchased for Halloween purposes, but when it works it works. The plastic crown I already had from my birthday party, so all I had to buy was the fake blood. To bring that all together I curled my hair, did a brown smokey eye, with browns from a Stila palette I can’t remember the name of, the red lip was the Maybelline Ruby Star and I added some bracelets for extra bling.

Moving on to 2014, we have one of my all-time favorite costumes. Rosie The Riveter. This was a lot of fun for me. And I highly recommend it if you haven’t done it. It’s also super easy to DIY. All you need are coveralls or go denim on denim and add a red bandana and red lipstick. But for my costume I bought the outfit from Party City. It came with the red polka dot bandana, which I still use as a hair accessory now on certain looks. And to go with that I wanted to copy the hair on the poster as close as I could, so I asked my sister, who is a hair wizard, to do it for me and it turned out amazing. To go with that I did a dark blue eyeshadow, Smolder from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette, and my favorite e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet. And I paired that with white wedges and for that little extra I took a small wrench and put it on a chain for a necklace.

And finally, we have last years costume which was the no dress up, dress up look. I wasn’t planning on doing anything at all, but I ended up going with my sister to take my nephew trick or treating so I wanted to do something. So all I did was a simple jeans and black tank top with a leather jacket, grey boots and that paisley scarf I love so much that has the skulls on it. Along with simple eyeshadow, Nice Ash from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette, and Red Carpet on my lips.

I didn’t plan to wear red lipstick every Halloween, but it just ended up being that way and there’s a chance I’ll do it again this year :).

I’m really excited to dress up this year and if you want to see me in my costume I’ll be posting to all of my social media accounts. If any of you guys dress up I’d love to see and especially if you end up in any of the costumes I’ve shown here tag me :).

Until next, enjoy any Halloween parties you go to and have fun dressing up :).
