Easter 2022 Makeup

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be showing you guys the makeup I did for Easter this year and how I did it. This year I went a little more simple, but I’m super happy with how it turned out and I would definitely do it again.

So, the first thing I did was prime my face and to do that I used the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set it with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Translucent.

IMG_1253

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze and to do that I used the Hanalei Beauty Company Matte Bronzer. I use this all the time, I love it, and the glow you get from it is fantastic. Then I applied the blush from the e.l.f Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee. I highlighted with the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette and I mixed the shades Radiant and Icy.

For my eyes, I first primed them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the Anastasia Beverly Hills/Norvina Mini Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 1 Palette and I took the third shadow from the second row, putting it across my entire lid. I then went into the Anastasia Beverly Hills/Norvina Mini Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 3 and dabbed the first shadow from the first row on top as a little bit of a topper. I then went back to the Vol. 1 palette and took the first shadow from the third row and brought it under my eye all the way and in the inner corner of my eye I took the same Vol. 3 shadow I used before. I did forget to include the undereye shadow color in my swatch, but you can from the product photo that it’s a nice purple. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips I applied the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Muse and dabbed just the tiniest bit of the Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous on top of that. I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and I hope you have a great week :).

Recent Makeup Look-Easter 2020 Edition

Hi everyone,

Today I thought it would be fun to share with you the makeup look that I did for Easter and how I did it. For this look I wanted something fun with pastels and I’m really happy with the way it came out.

So the first thing I did for this look was prime my face using the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. This gives a great subtle glow under foundation. Then I went in with my foundation, the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory. Next I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes and a few other places I wanted more coverage. And I topped that off with the KVD Vegan Beauty Lock-It translucent setting powder.

IMG_5377

For the rest of my face I started with bronzer and used the Too Faced Extra Toasty, this is a lighter brown and it has a nice amount of pigment and it blends really nicely. I then used the Model Co blush in Peach Bellini, this has a little bit of shimmer and shine and isn’t too pink and I highlighted with the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold. This is such a beautiful highlighter, it’s the perfect shade and it has a great pop when the light hits it without it being over the top. This is probably my favorite drugstore highlighter.

IMG_5378

IMG_5379

For my eyes I didn’t have a real plan going into it but a few shadows stood out and I went for it. The first thing I did though was prime them with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance 24+ Hour Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette and put Fresh all over my lid as a base. Next I used Bloom, which is a matte pinky coral, from the Sultry palette and packed that into the crease and blended. From there I went into the big palette from the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party and packed That’s My Jam, a berry toned purple, on the outer corner of my eye and a little bit into the crease to meet Bloom. On my lid I used I Love Yule, a really pretty pink with gold sparkles and I lightly dabbed Tinsel Town, an icy and sparkly purple/white, on top to bring all the colors together. Eyeliner wise I used and KVD Vegan Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped off the eyes with the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. On my lips I applied a Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Queen B, a very pretty mauvey purple and set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always love doing posts like this so look out for more in the future and I’d love to know what your Easter makeup look was.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many sparkly eyeshadows :).

Easter Treats

Hi everyone,

As Easter is this weekend I thought today would be a great day to share some fun and delicious Easter treats, let’s get into it.

The first treat we have is Easter Funfetti Cookies. These are super simple to make and so yummy.

What You Need:

  • 1 box of funfetti cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of oil
  • 1/3 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of Easter M&M’s
  • 2 tablespoons of multi colored nonpareils

What You Do:

  • The first things you’re going to do are preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Then in a large bowl add your cake mix, eggs and oil and mix for about 1 minute or until it’s well combined.
  • To your cake batter add in the white chocolate chips, M&M’s and nonpareils. Give that a good stir and make sure everything is well distributed.
  • Next take your cookie scoop, I recommend using a 1/1.5 inch scoop, and scoop out the dough. Place on your cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • If you want, I do this, press extra M&M’s and white chocolate chips into the cookie balls before baking.
  • Bake the cookies for 8-9 minutes or until the edges are just golden brown.
  • Once the cookies are done take them out and place them on a cooling rack completely.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next treat we have is No Bake Chocolate Coconut Nests. I love little things like this, I’ve made this many times over the years and it’s always a hit.

What You Need:

  • 24 Cadbury mini eggs
  • 3/4 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups of unsweetened coconut

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Then you’re going to take your shredded coconut and spread it onto a baking sheet for toasting. Place in the oven for 5-10  minutes or until it’s lightly golden brown but make sure to keep and eye on it because coconut can burn quickly.
  • Once the coconut is toasted let it cool and while it’s cooling melt your chocolate chips. To melt the chips place them in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until it’s all melted and smooth.
  • In a large bowl add the coconut and melted chocolate and stir. Making sure everything is well coated and combined.
  • Then take a spoon and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture on to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and make into a nest shape. Fill the next with 2-3 mini eggs.
  • Let the nests set before eating, you can do this at room temperature or in the fridge.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last treat we have is Springtime Celebration Popcorn. I love popcorn and popcorn like this is great for every holiday.

What You Need:

  • 10 cups of popped popcorn
  • 3 tablespoons of salted sweet cream butter
  • 3 cups of mini marshmallows
  • Easter M&M’s
  • Easter sprinkles

What You Do:

  • The first step is to pop and salt the ten cups of popcorn. Once you’ve done that place it in a large bowl and set that aside.
  • Next take a medium sauce pan and to that add the 3 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter is melted add the mini marshmallows. Stir until the marshmallows are melted and turn off the heat once that has happened.
  • Pour about 3/4 of the marshmallow mixture over your popcorn and gently stir until all the popcorn is coated. Then pour the popcorn onto a parchment covered baking sheet and spread it out.
  • Then drizzle the rest of the marshmallow over the popcorn and add the candy and sprinkles.
  • Let the popcorn cool and place it in your preferred serving dish.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last treat we have is Cadbury Easter Fudge. This is such an easy recipe and fudge is always a great holiday treat.

What You Need:

  • 1, 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips. You can use any chocolate you like, I prefer milk chocolate
  • 1, 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/3 cups of Cadbury mini eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take an 8 x 8 pan and line it with parchment paper and place 1/2 of your mini eggs in the bottom on the pan.
  • Then in a microwave safe bowl add in your chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave that for 2 1/2-3 minutes and stir until smooth.
  • To the chocolate mixture add the marshmallows and stir to evenly distribute.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan with the mini eggs on the bottom and smooth it out. To the top of that add the rest of the mini eggs.
  • Place in the fridge for 30-45 minutes or until set.
  • Cut into desired size and place on whatever dish you’re using.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any go to Easter treats I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun baking and I hope you have a happy Easter :).

Easter Cocktails

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! As Easter is quickly approaching, I thought that today would be the perfect day to share some fun and festive cocktails with you. These all have a strong candy theme to them, so that being said, let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is Speckled Egg Mimosas. This is a very pretty cocktail and has a great mix of sweetness and freshness.

What You Need:

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of water
  • 8 blackberries
  • 1 bottle of champagne
  • 1 bag of speckled egg candy
  • 1 handful of edible flowers

What You Do:

  • So the first thing you’re going to do is grab a pot and add water, then bring that to a boil. Once your water is boiling add in your sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved. When your sugar has dissolved add the blackberries and muddle. Simmer for 3-5 minutes then remove from heat.
  • Allow your syrup to cool and once it has strain into a pitcher.
  • Then grab your glasses and place 3 speckled eggs in the bottom of each glass. To that add one shot, or 2 ounces, of the blackberry simple syrup to each glass and fill the rest of the way with champagne.
  • Garnish with the edible flowers.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next cocktail we have is Cotton Candy Margaritas. Although cotton candy can be very sweet, this isn’t a drink that’s too sweet.

What You Need:

  • 3/4 cup of tequila
  • 1/2 cup of fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 cup of cream soda
  • 1/4 cup of orange liqueur
  • 1 package of cotton candy
  • Ice
  • Lime wedges

What You Do:

  • In a mason jar, combine your tequila, lime juice, cream soda and orange liqueur. Shake that very well, making sure it’s well combined.
  • Take your glasses and fill them about 3/4 of the way with cotton candy and pour the drink over until the glass is roughly half full.
  • Top that with ice and stir to combine.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last cocktail we have is Blood Orange Mimosas. I love a good mimosa and this one is super fresh. This recipe does make a pitcher.

What You Need:

  • 10 to 12 blood oranges, juiced. This makes about 2 1/2 cups of juice
  • 1 bottle of chilled sparkling wine
  • 8 to 10 pieces of blood orange peel, twisted for garnish

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take your blood orange juice and pour it in your pitcher. I would recommend doing this a couple hours before serving so you can keep it chilled in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.
  • Then add in your chilled sparkling wine and stir combine. Pour into your glasses and top with your twisted blood orange peel.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The last cocktail we have is the Pink Jelly Bean. This cocktail is a really pretty color and super simple to make.

What You Need:

  • 1 ounce of vanilla vodka
  • 3 ounces of chilled ginger ale
  • 1 teaspoon of grenadine or maraschino cherry juice
  • Ice
  • Pink jelly beans

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take your glass and fill it with ice. Then pour in the vodka, ginger ale and grenadine/cherry juice and stir to combine.
  • Then take 3 or 4 pink jelly beans and put then on a skewer. Place that in your drink to garnish.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any favorite Easter cocktails I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun making drinks and I hope you all have a great Easter :).

Easter Decor

Hi everyone,

As Easter is this weekend and I’ve pretty much finished decorating, I thought it would be fun to show you guys my decorations. I basically revamped my decorations this year and a lot of it is new and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. And with that being said, let’s get into it.

The first thing we have is a couple of signs. This first one has a wood background and it says Hippity Hoppity Easter’s On Its Way in various colors and glitters. And it’s hanging on a piece of rope.

ED1

Next we have a felt baby chick with a green boarder that has little eggs in it. And it’s hanging on a green ribbon.

ED2

I really like this third one, it has three parts. The top says Happy in pink and it has a green background with a purple boarder. The middle says Easter in white with a purple background, polka dots and a pink boarder. The bottom is a green egg with pink, purple and white polka dots. And it’s hanging on a dark pink ribbon.

ED3

Next up is a wooden sign that is shaped like a wreath. The green when you get a good look at it is grass and it’s covered in eggs covered in various patterns and it says Happy Easter in the middle in purple and it’s hanging on a light pink ribbon.

ED4

The second to last sign is one of my favorites and it’s another stacked sign. One the top there’s a little bunny with a small egg and it says Happy Easter. And underneath is four eggs in various colors and patterns.

ED5

And this last sign is on my screen door facing out, hence the slight glare. It has a big bunny in the middle with flowers around it, Happy Easter on top, a really pretty blue background and a pink and yellow boarder.

ED6

Next up I have some lights. Around Christmas I bought extra boxes of multicolored lights so I could have them for any time of the year I wanted. I put up a couple strings of those in my dining room and in my living room. Then I accented with these specialty lights. The first string are carrots and the second string are eggs.

ED7

ED8

On my little drink cart I have this big plastic egg filled with smaller little glitter eggs. And I did just buy some Easter basket filling to add so it has more color and dimension.

ED9

And lastly I have these two bunnies that I’m going to stick in my garden. I bought purple and blue and I think they add the perfect little Easter touch without being too over the top.

ED11

The things that I still have to do are hang up two banners, I don’t know where they’re going yet, put on a festive tablecloth and I bought two packs of those gel window clings. I’ll probably put those on some mirrors instead of the windows though.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same decorations let me know which ones and if not I’d love to know what your favorite decoration of yours is.

Until next time, have fun decorating and have a happy Easter :).

Easter Treats

Hi everyone,

Today, as Easter is coming up, I thought that I would share some fun and completely delicious treats. I’ve always liked Easter, always found it really fun and as an adult that childhood enthusiasm that I had for finding eggs and eating candy has morphed into enthusiasm for making a fun dessert and let’s be honest, still eating candy. Because candy is more fun when it’s pastel colored. With that being said, let’s get into it.

The first treat we have is always a crowd favorite and super simple to make, Easter Muddy Buddies.

What You Need:

  • 9 cups of Chex cereal
  • 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar
  • 1 bag of Easter M&M’s
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is measure out your cereal, pour it into a large bowl and set aside. Then take a baking sheet and line that with wax/parchment paper, whichever you have, and set that aside.
  • Then add your chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter to a medium size microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute and stir when it comes out. Continue to microwave in 30 seconds blocks, making sure to stir after each block, until it’s completely melted. Once it is melted, add the vanilla and stir to make sure it’s well combined.
  • Take that mixture and pour it over the cereal. Mix gently until everything is evenly coated. Then put that mixture into a 2 gallon bag and add the confectioners sugar. Make sure the bag is fully sealed and shake it until the cereal is all coated.
  • Once coated in the sugar, pour the cereal onto the baking sheet to cool. Then add in the M&M’s and mini marshmallows, making sure to give it a little mix to combine everything.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second treat we have is Springtime Crinkle Cookies. I really like crinkle cookies and these have a good chance of being what I make on Easter. This recipe makes 32 cookies.

What You Need:

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 2 cups of white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons of lemon zest
  • 4 1/2 cups of flour
  • 4 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • Food coloring

What You Do:

  • The first step here is to cream the butter and sugar together. Mix until it’s well combined then add in the eggs. Mix that until the dough is fluffy.
  • Then add in the lemon juice and lemon zest and mix. Add in the baking powder. And finally add in the flour a third at a time, making sure to mix well between adds.
  • Once the dough is together, split it into four portions and color those portions pink, purple, yellow and blue.
  • Put the dough in the fridge for two hours.
  • After you take the dough out of the fridge form them into balls and roll the balls in the powdered sugar.
  • Bake the cookies at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
  • When the cookies are done let them cool on a wire rack.
  • Once cooled, serve and enjoy!

The last treat we have is Easter Oreo Bark. I’ve made bark a few times before, it’s always delicious and it takes almost no time to make.

What You Need:

  • 1 package of vanilla coating candy
  • 3/4 cup of crushed Oreos
  • Easter M&M’s
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs
  • Spring/Easter sprinkles

What You Do:

  • Take the vanilla coating candy and melt in a small pot over low heat. Making sure you’re stirring constantly until it’s all melted.
  • Then pour it over a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle on your crushed Oreos, M&M’s, Mini Eggs and sprinkles.
  • Place it into the fridge for thirty minutes to an hour.
  • Once you take it out of the fridge, break it into pieces.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these treats tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram. And if you have any treat suggestions, let me know.

Until next time, have fun baking and I hope you have a happy Easter :).

Four easy makeup looks and OOTD’s- March-April 2018

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing one of my favorite posts, four of my recent makeup looks and the outfits that went with them. Normally I would do three, but I couldn’t decide between two of them so I added them both. And with that being said, let’s get into it.

The first look is from St. Patrick’s Day. Outfit wise I was wearing a blue and green plaid shirt with a black, cami style bodysuit underneath and a pair of dark wash skinny jeans. I can’t remember where the shirt is from, I’ve had it for a little while, but the bodysuit is from Forever 21 and I think the jeans are from Macy’s but I’ve had them forever.

OOTDM1

OOTDM1a

Starting with my face, after I do my morning routine I start with my foundation, which is the L’Oreal Paris true match super-blendable foundation in the shade N2, Classic Ivory. With that I use the matching concealer in N 1-2-3 Fair/Light and on the spots I want heavier coverage the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige and I blend that in with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. I top all of that with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder and apply that with the e.l.f. powder brush. Bronzer wise I use the bronzer in the e.l.f. blush palette in light, top right in the palette on the left, I used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour brush to apply and the blush I used is the one on the bottom left from the palette on the right and to finish off my face I used the Dashing Through The Glow highlighter from the Too Faced Super Fun Night palette which is from the Too Faced Best Year Ever makeup collection. And I use an e.l.f. fan brush to apply that.

OOTDM1b

Moving on to eyes, I went with a simple brown shadow look. I really like to wear brown eyeshadows, I have green eyes and it tends to make them pop. For the shadow I went to the Too Faced Natural Beauty palette and picked Sleigh My Name. It’s a nice medium/dark brown with a bit of a shimmer. I applied that with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and I blended it out with a Skone Cosmetics blending brush. In the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows I used Angelic from the same palette. Mascara wise, I used Too Faced Better Than Sex, it’s one of my absolute favorite mascaras. Using an angled brush, I filled in my eyebrows with Too Faced Up in Smoke and I finished the whole look off with the Sephora Collection Rouge Matte Lipstick in Rebel Chic.

My second look is one that I wouldn’t normally add because it’s filtered but I really like it and the vintage feel it has. For the OOTD part of this I was wearing a white scoop neck shirt, which I believe is from Forever 21, the necklace I’m wearing is also from Forever 21, it’s a gold chain. I was also wearing really light washing skinny jeans, which are from Kohl’s.

OOTDM2

OOTDM1a

For my face, everything is the same as the last look.

OOTDM2a

I really like to play around with gold shadows, so this is one of my favorite looks. For the base shadow I used the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Rose Gold, not only is this shadow gorgeous but it’s highly pigmented. On top of that, mostly in the crease, I used a darker gold and blended it with my finger. In the inner corner and under my brows I used Angelic. The eyeliner that I used was the Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen in BlackNoir. The mascara is Essence Cosmetics I Love Crazy Volume in Deep Black, this is a great mascara it makes your lashes look really thick and defined. As always I filled in my brows with Up in Smoke and finished it all off with one of my favorite liquid lipsticks, the Caked Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. It smells like cake batter.

My second to last look is from Opening Day, one of my favorite days in March. My jersey is from the Mariners Team Store and my jeans are new and they are from Kohl’s.

OOTDM3

OOTDM3a

I changed up the blush in this look and the one I used is the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush.

OOTDM3b

This is a really simple look. Eyeshadow is from the Too Faced palette on the far left, it’s this shimmery emerald shadow and I only wear it a couple times a year and Opening Day is one of those days. It is really pretty though. I put White Lie in the inner corner and under my brows, used the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara on my lashes and Up in Smoke for my brows. And finally I used the MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro.

And my last look is from Easter. This is a better look at the new jeans I was talking about and the shirt is also new and it’s from Buckle. I love the pattern and the bell sleeves and it’s open in the back which is a great surprise when you turn around.

For this look I went back to how I normally do my face, but I did make a change to my morning routine, I did it with the last look to and I added in the Bobbi Brown Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm. You put it on before you do your makeup and it illuminates your skin and gives it an extra oomph.

For this look I wanted something light and springy and I think I achieved that, I’m really happy with the way it came out. For the shadow itself I used the Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment in Honey Dew. It’s a gorgeous light pink and it is highly pigmented. I used Angelic in the inner corner and under my brows, the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black, the Essence Cosmetics mascara on my lashes and Up in Smoke on my brows. And to top it all off I used the EM Cosmetics Infinite Lip Cloud in Rose Nude.

That about wraps it up for this post, I really like doing posts like this, so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun with your looks and take as many OOTD pictures as possible :).

Easter cocktails

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing the follow up to yesterday’s Easter Treats post with Easter Cocktails. These are all delicious and perfect for any Easter or spring party, so let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is the Pink Bunny. This is a really fun take on a Gin and Tonic and this recipe makes 3 drinks.

What you need:

  • 1 can of frozen pink lemonade, 12 ounces
  • 6 ounces of gin
  • 12 ounces of tonic water
  • Pink sanding sugar
  • For Easter, a pink Peep

What you do:

  • Mix your gin, tonic water and frozen pink lemonade in a pitcher.
  • Dip your glasses in water and press into the pink sanding sugar until sufficiently coated.
  • Pour your drink into the glasses. If this is for Easter serve with a pink Peep on the rim, otherwise serve as is and enjoy!

The second cocktail we have is the Cottontail Martini and this recipe makes one drink.

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 ounces of whipped vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces of coconut rum
  • 2 ounces of half and half
  • 1/2 ounce of cream of coconut
  •  A splash of pineapple juice
  • Sweetened coconut
  • Honey
  • Marshmallow

What you do:

Martini Glass:

  • Take two shallow dishes and put them next to each other. In one add the sweetened coconut and in the other put about a teaspoon of honey.
  • Dip the glass in the honey then the coconut until it’s sufficiently coated. Then set aside.

Martini itself:

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the whipped vodka, coconut rum, half and half, cream of coconut and pineapple juice. Shake and strain into your prepared glass.
  • Serve with a marshmallow on the rim and enjoy!

And the last cocktail we have is Berry Champagne Punch and this recipe makes 20 drinks.

What you need:

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 6 ounces of fresh raspberries
  • 6  ounces of fresh blackberries
  • 6 ounces of fresh strawberries
  • 1 bottle of champagne or sparkling wine
  • 2 liters of lemon lime soda
  • Fresh berries

What you do:

  • Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Take off the heat and let it cool. Store it in the fridge until you’re ready to use it.
  • Combine the raspberries and 1/4 cup of the previously made syrup and puree that until it’s smooth.
  • Repeat that process with the blackberries and strawberries and strain all the purees through a fine mess strainer to remove seeds.
  • Add one tablespoon of the berry puree to a wine glass or champagne flute and fill the glass half way with champagne. Gently stir until combined.
  • Top with more champagne and/or the lemon lime soda.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any cocktails that you love for Easter let me know and if you make any of these tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram.

Until next time, enjoy your cocktails and I hope you have a happy Easter :).

Easter treats

Hi everyone,

Today, as Easter is right around the corner, I thought I would talk about some simple and delicious Easter treats. I have another post going up tomorrow about Easter cocktails, so keep an eye out for that.

Starting off super simple, we have Peep Fruit Kabobs. There is a lot of sugar going around on Easter so this offers a slightly healthier option.

What you need:

  • Wooden skewers
  • Peeps, 1 to 2 packages depending on how many you plan on making
  • Fresh fruit, your choice

What you do:

  • Layer the fruit on the skewer, put the Peep in the middle and layer more fruit on top
  • Put on a serving tray/ platter. Serve and enjoy!

Next up we have something I wish I could take credit for, and it’s Rice Krispie Treats but made with Trix cereal. I loved Trix growing up and I am definitely going to be making these.

What you need:

  • One bag of mini marshmallows, 16 ounces
  • 10 cups of Trix cereal
  • 1/4 cup of butter

What you do:

  • Put the marshmallows and butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 2 to 3 minutes or until everything is melted. Once it is melted stir until smooth.
  • Add in the Trix and stir until well combined.
  • Pour your mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan and press down with a spoon making sure that they are even.
  • Cool, either at room temperature or in the fridge and once they’ve cooled cut them into squares.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The last treat we have is Cadbury Mini Egg Cookies. Mini Eggs are one of my favorite Easter candies and like the Trix treats I’m definitely going to be making these. And this recipe makes 36 cookies.

What you need:

  • 2 1/4 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of softened unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups of Cadbury Mini Eggs chopped in half

What you do:

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add the flour, baking soda and salt together in a bowl, mix and set aside.
  • In a large bowl add the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Add in the eggs and beat until well combined.
  • Mix in the dry ingredients until combined then gently stir in the Mini Eggs.
  • Spoon the dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Once out of the oven, cool on a wire rack, serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram. My links will be down below like always.

Until next time, have fun baking and if you guys have any treats you love for Easter let me know :).
