Blogmas Day Twelve: Christmas Day Makeup

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Twelve! I can’t believe we’re already at the end of Blogmas, it truly flew by. For Day Twelve I thought I would share with you guys what my Christmas Day makeup is going to look like. I usually mention it every year, and this year it took me a little while to decide what I wanted to do. I like to do a little glam but not full glam for Christmas Day because we have a very relaxing day and chill in our lounge wear and I’m happy with what I came up with.

The first thing I did for this look was prime my face with the Smashbox The Original Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Nars Laguna Bronzer. Then I applied the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo Blush in Lychee and highlighted with the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter.

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the Violet Voss Violet Sunset Palette and the first shadow I used was Desert Sand. I took that and put it in the crease. Then I took Amber Sky and also put that in the crease, making sure to blend well. I then took Dusk and packed on the outer corner of my eye. For the rest of my lid I went into the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party Palette and applied the shade Snow Fake. I then took Dusk and ran it about halfway under my eye and for the other half and into the inner corner of my eye, I applied Snow Fake. I lined my eyes with the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips, I lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled them in with the MAC Matte Lipstick in Russian Red. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

That about wraps it up for this post, I want to thank everyone for reading along this Blogmas, I had such a great time doing it. It’s always one of my favorite things to do. If you guys have figured out your Christmas Day makeup I’d love to know what you’re going to do and if you go makeup free on Christmas Day let me know that too, I’m always interested in what people do.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Seven: Christmas Day Activities

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Seven! Today I’m going to be talking about some of my favorite Christmas Day activities. I’ve mentioned this before, but on Christmas Day my family has a really chill day and it’s pretty much always been that way. I do my makeup on the more glam side, do a simple hairstyle and put on some cozy loungewear. We take our time opening presents and just enjoy ourselves.

After the present opening there’s a good amount of time before dinner and after everyone has messed with their presents it’s only natural to want to fill that time with something, so for us it’s always been games. As my siblings and I have gotten older the games have changed, but now we have our favorites.

One of my favorites is darts. This is a newer addition to the holidays but I think it’s one of the most fun. I highly recommend buying a dartboard if you don’t have one because it’s a great game and kids and adult alike can have a lot of fun with it.

Something I try to do at least once during the holiday season is put together a festive puzzle. I love puzzles always but especially during the holidays because it’s such a cozy thing to do. And the festive puzzles are so cute and have great pictures.

Ever since I was a little kid and I know before I was born, my parents would buy my siblings a new video game or video games. That tradition has continued on as we all have consoles and love to play games, there are some we play team up and play together and others only one of us will play. But on Christmas day one or multiple of us will open up a game and we’ll all play.

The last activity we have is dominoes. On Christmas night after dinner we all gather around and play dominoes. This is something we’ve been doing for years and all have a lot of fun with, especially because we’re all a little competitive with each other but there’s always so many laughs.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have any games you play with your family on or during Christmas I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, enjoy your traditions and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Six: Christmas Day Makeup

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Six! I can’t believe we’re already halfway through and that there’s only two weeks until Christmas. Today I’m going to be showing you guys what my Christmas day makeup is going to be. I like to decide what I’m going to do beforehand, so on the day I can just pop it on and have a chill day. For a while I’ve been doing gold eyes, but this year I wanted something different and this is what I came up with.

So, the first thing I did was moisturizer my face with the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I really like this, it makes my face really soft and it gives me a nice glow that peeks through my foundation. Then I went in with my foundation, the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless in 205, Ivory. After that I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes to brighten and in a few other places. And I topped that off with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder.

CHM2

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was go in with my bronzer and for that I used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Then I applied one of my favorite blushes, the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. And I topped it off with the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Highlighter in Sin.

CHM4

For my eyes, the first thing I did was use the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, this is probably my favorite eyeshadow primer. Then I went in to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette and used Twig in the crease. It’s a really nice brown and I use it as a crease color for quite a few looks. Then I used the dark matte brown from the e.l.f. Eye Candy Eyeshadow Duo Set on the outer corner of my eye and I brought that in just a little. And on the rest of the lid I used the bright white shadow from that same e.l.f. duo. I then used the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and finished the look with the Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara, it gives you lashes for days.

To top off the whole look I applied the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. This is a deep brick red and I love it. It’s a great red lipstick. And I locked it all in with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always like to do posts like this so look out for more in the future. I’d also love to know what you guys do on Christmas. Do you go a little glam with your look, keep it simple or rock no makeup?

Until next time, have fun creating your looks and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Five: Christmas Day Makeup

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Five! Today I’m going to be talking about my Christmas day makeup. I did this post last year and really liked it, as I like doing posts of this nature, so I figured I would do another. This look is different than the look last year, but I will post the link to that one down below.

CMU1

So, starting with my face and after my morning routine, I start with my primer. I don’t always use a primer, but lately I’ve really been loving this one and it’s the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer. It’s incredible and I highly recommend it. Next I apply my foundation, which is the L’Oreal True Match super-blendable foundation in N2. Then I use my concealers, the first one is the matching L’Oreal True Match concealer in N 1-2-3 and in the places I want a heavier coverage, I use the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige and I put that on with a Micro Mini Beauty Blender. To top it all off I use the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, it’s one of my favorites when it comes to powders and I apply it with an e.l.f. Powder Brush. Then I go to bronzer and for this look I used the Too Faced Warm My Heart bronzer from the Too Faced Best Year Ever makeup collection and the Natural Beauty palette and I used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush to apply that. The blush I used is the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose Gold Blush and I just used a big fluffy brush for that. And lastly, for my highlighter I used the Too Faced Dashing Through The Glow highlighter, which is also from the Best Year Ever makeup collection and this is from the Super Fun Night palette. And I applied that with an e.l.f. Fan Brush.

CMU2

For my eyes, I went with something a little bit different, but it’s a look I really love. This is pretty much all from the Too Faced Super Fun Night palette, I will link the post I did where I reviewed the Too Faced Best Year Ever makeup collection so you can see all of the palettes and colors up close and in depth. For the base I went with Sleighhh Girl, which is kind of a dirty gold and it has a nice shimmer to it, and I applied that with a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush. On top of that, primarily in the crease, I used Tipsy, which is a gray shade, but it has some pink flecks that give it a really nice complexity and a great shimmer, and I blended that with a Skone Blending Brush. If you’re in the market for some new brushes, I would recommend Skone. In the inner corner of my eye and under my brows I used Lucky Star, and it’s very light shimmer gold. Eyeliner wise, I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, this is one of my favorite eyeliners and anything Kat Von D is generally amazing. For my mascara I wanted some volume, so I used the Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir, it’s one of the best. I then curled my lashes using my Revlon eyelash curler and I combed through them to make sure they were smooth. Taking a little angled brush, I filled in my eyebrows with Up In Smoke from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette. I topped this look off with a red lip. I combined two red lipsticks when I did this, the e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet, then on top of that I dabbed LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Color Me Confident. I don’t know what shade of red I’ll wear on Christmas Day, but I like the way this combo came out.

CMU3

That about wraps it up for this post, I always like doing these so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun with your Christmas looks and I can’t believe there’s only two weeks until Christmas :).

Blogmas Day 6: Christmas day makeup

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day 6! Today I’m going to be talking through what my Christmas Day makeup will be. Basically on Christmas Day my attire consists of a tank top, leggings, a cardigan/ blanket/ Snuggie, my slippers and either a Santa hat or antlers. So I like to put a little extra into my makeup to balance it out.

CDM1

Starting with my face, after I go through my morning routine, I start with my foundation which is the L’Oreal True Match super-blendable foundation in the shade N2, Classic Ivory. On top of that I used the matching L’Oreal True Match concealer in N1-2-3, fair/light and for the areas that I want a heavier coverage I used the YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB Power Brightening in Light Beige, you guys know how much I love this product and I still highly recommend it. And to apply that I use a green, and very dirty Micro Mini Beauty Blender. On top of all that I used the Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder, it’s just the best finishing powder and I apply that with an e.l.f. Powder Brush. Bronzer wise I put on the bronzer from the e.l.f. blush palette, in Light, top corner of the palette on the left and my blush was from the same palette but the one in the bottom corner of the palette on the right. To apply my bronzer I used the Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush, I’ve said this before but the Firma brushes I have are my favorite. If you’re looking to buy some new ones look there, the quality is fantastic. And to apply my blush I just used a big fluffy brush. I also did a bit of highlighter and for that I used the lighter side of the Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey and an e.l.f. fan brush.

CDM2

As for my eyes, I chose one of my absolute favorites eyeshadows. It’s from the little Too Faced palette on the left and it’s in the middle of the top row, it’s a very sparkly cream shade and it’s absolutely gorgeous. To put that on I used a Bare Escentuals eyeshadow brush and I used my finger to blend it out a little, I was kind of in a rush and didn’t want to dirty another brush. In the inner corner of my eye and under my brows I used White Lie from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette. For my eyeliner I used the Pixi by Petra  Endless Silky Eye Pen in BlackNoir, come Christmas Day I don’t know if I’ll use this exact eyeliner it depends on my mood but it is one of my favorites. It really is silky and glides on like butter. I’m still using my trusty mascara duo, Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express and Maybelline Great Lash. I use the Falsies first, curl my lashes with my Revlon eyelash curler, then use Great Lash and comb them through at the end so there’s no clumps. Using a little angle brush and Up in Smoke from the Too Faced Smokey Eye palette I fill in my brows. And I topped it all off with the LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Color Me Confident. It’s a gorgeous cranberry shade and one of my favorites for this time of year. Again, I don’t know if this will be the exact red I’ll wear on Christmas. But I do have a post going up later this month on red lipsticks for Christmas that I’m excited about, so keep an eye out for that.

CDM3

And this is the finished look. It’s been getting colder recently and so far it’s been bloody cold this week, today especially so I’ve broken out the scarves.

That about wraps it up for this post, you guys know how much I like doing these posts, and I have plans to continue them in the future. Maybe I’ll do an NYE look.

Until next time, have fun with your makeup looks and are you guys going fancy or casual this Christmas? 🙂
