Blogmas Day Three: Red Lipstick and Liner Collection

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Three! As one of the essentials for the holiday season is red lipstick, I thought it would be fun to show you my current collection of red liners and lipsticks.

IMG_6740

Starting with liners, the one red liner I have is the Beauty Vaulte liner in Natty Nat. As far as tone, this is a pretty true and classic red that goes with a lot of the lipsticks in my collection, but I also really like it as and all over lip color.

IMG_6741

IMG_6742

IMG_6743

Going into lipsticks, the first one we have is the NYX Shout Loud Satin Lipstick in Red Haute. This is a nice warm red. These lipsticks are nicely pigmented and are infused with mango and shea butter so you get 4 hours of hydration.

IMG_6744

IMG_6745

IMG_6746

Moving on, the next lipstick we have is the e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet. This is a lipstick that I’ve repurchased many times over the years. This is really rich and creamy when you put it on and the color is very vibrant. e.l.f. lipsticks have a great formula and I always recommend them if someone is looking for a good drugstore lipstick.

IMG_6747

IMG_6748

IMG_6749

Next up we have the Sephora Collection Matte Lipstick in 23-Cabin Fever/23-After Hours. This is a darker red and I really like it. It’s so pigmented and long lasting and during the holidays and during college football season, this is a lipstick I wear a lot.

IMG_6750

IMG_6751

IMG_6752

Next up we have the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. Bite Beauty did discontinue their Amuse Bouche lipsticks, I believe it was to reformulate and from what I understand they’re supposed to be relaunching sometime soon. I have quite a few of the Amuse Bouche lipsticks and I really like the formulation and pigmentation of them all. This one is a darker red, ever so slightly than the SC Cabin Fever, and it’s so pretty.

IMG_6753

IMG_6754

IMG_6755

The last of the bullet lipsticks is the MAC Matte Lipstick in 640, Red Rock. This is the first MAC lipstick I’ve had and when I was shopping for it there was no question in my mind that I had to buy a red because MAC does red so well. This shade in particular is a really classic, true red and it’s just so good in every way.

IMG_6756

IMG_6757

IMG_6758

The second to last lipstick we have is the YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Lip Stain in 5-Rosewood Gang. This is a lip stain so it’s a little bit lighter and I do like to layer it, but it stands up well to that and doesn’t get gloppy. Color wise this looks red on me, but it does have some pink/purple undertones. I’m actually running low and I need to pick up another one.

IMG_6759

IMG_6760

IMG_6761 (1)

And the last lipstick we have is the Clarins Velvet Lip Perfector in 03 Velvet Red. This is a liquid lipstick in a matte finish with shea butter that is super pigmented. This lipstick feels very light on the lips, which I appreciate and I do like the cushion applicator.

IMG_6763

IMG_6764

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have any of the same lipsticks let me know which and if not I’d love to know what your favorite red lipstick is for the holidays :).

Blogmas Day Six: Christmas Day Makeup

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Six! I can’t believe we’re already halfway through and that there’s only two weeks until Christmas. Today I’m going to be showing you guys what my Christmas day makeup is going to be. I like to decide what I’m going to do beforehand, so on the day I can just pop it on and have a chill day. For a while I’ve been doing gold eyes, but this year I wanted something different and this is what I came up with.

So, the first thing I did was moisturizer my face with the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I really like this, it makes my face really soft and it gives me a nice glow that peeks through my foundation. Then I went in with my foundation, the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless in 205, Ivory. After that I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes to brighten and in a few other places. And I topped that off with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder.

CHM2

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was go in with my bronzer and for that I used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Then I applied one of my favorite blushes, the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. And I topped it off with the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Highlighter in Sin.

CHM3

CHM4

For my eyes, the first thing I did was use the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, this is probably my favorite eyeshadow primer. Then I went in to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette and used Twig in the crease. It’s a really nice brown and I use it as a crease color for quite a few looks. Then I used the dark matte brown from the e.l.f. Eye Candy Eyeshadow Duo Set on the outer corner of my eye and I brought that in just a little. And on the rest of the lid I used the bright white shadow from that same e.l.f. duo. I then used the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and finished the look with the Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara, it gives you lashes for days.

CHM5

CHM6

ELF8

To top off the whole look I applied the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. This is a deep brick red and I love it. It’s a great red lipstick. And I locked it all in with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

CHM7

CHM8

CHM1

That about wraps it up for this post, I always like to do posts like this so look out for more in the future. I’d also love to know what you guys do on Christmas. Do you go a little glam with your look, keep it simple or rock no makeup?

Until next time, have fun creating your looks and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

July Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month, I thought today would be the perfect day to talk about my July favorites. I have an interesting mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my July Sephora Play Box, I’ll of course link that post below if you haven’t read it. And my Play favorite is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. You guys know how much I love this. I’ve been using it for ages and it not only takes off every stay proof, waterproof, long lasting bit of makeup, but it does so with a gentle formula so there’s no scrubbing or irritation.

JLSP2

Next up we have the Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Glace. Again, this is something I’ve been using for a little while and it’s just so good. This particular shade is like a dusty mauve and it’s so pretty. These lip crayons are super pigmented and really long wearing. I have quite a few Bite Beauty products and honestly they’re all great. If you’ve never checked them out then I highly recommend doing so.

JLSP7

JLSP8

My last Play favorite is the Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Love Eau So Sweet. This is a scent that I would describe as very summery. It’s floral, fruity and just a little bit sugary, which is perfect. This isn’t one of those perfumes that you have to worry about being completely faded by the end of the day, it wears well and lasts a long time. I definitely recommend smelling this if you haven’t and you get the chance.

JLSP9

My second to last beauty favorite is the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots. I received this first in my Walmart Beauty Box, link below, and in my Target Beauty Box later, link below. So I figured I would give it a try. I take pretty good care of my hair so I didn’t know if it would really do a lot, but I have to say that I’m impressed. You use this after you’ve shampooed and conditioned and you apply it from the middle of your hair to the ends. It’s purpose is to target any damage you may have and to help prevent split ends, what I’ve noticed is that the portion of my hair I applied it has been softer than normal and I quite like that.

WBB9

And my last beauty favorite is Aloe Vera. Earlier this month I was doing something I’m going to talk about later in this post, outside in the heat of the day, for a long period of time, and I got the worst sunburn I’ve had in a really long time. It was so red and so painful and using aloe absolutely saved me. It ended up not peeling and actually turned into a nice little tan.

My next favorite is a book and it’s Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I talked about the show adaptation in my favorites last month and after watching and loving that I decided that I had to read the book. I absolutely loved it, it was so funny and now I fully understand why so many people have loved this book for so long. It’s just fantastic. I 1000% recommend reading it if you haven’t and watching the show because David Tennant and Michael Sheen are incredible and do an outstanding job of bringing the characters to life.

JLYF5

Moving on, my next favorite is my sunflowers and the planter box I built for them, aka the thing that caused my sunburn. Back in June a neighbor of mine told me she had some extra sunflower starts that she didn’t have a use for and I very happily took them off her hands. I knew that sunflowers like to root pretty deep and have space to grow so I decided to build my own planter box. It came out so good, I’m super happy with it and the sunflowers have been thriving since I put them in there. I have to give a shout out to my dad for helping me with this because my woodworking experience is limited.

JLYF1

JLYF2

JLYF3

JLYF4

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the song Superstitious by Europe. I feel like Europe is a band that gets forgotten about/people don’t know has more songs than Final Countdown. But my discovering this song was totally random, it popped up in my recommended on YouTube and I’m glad I clicked because I really like it. I listen to a lot of music and this song has one of, in my opinion, the best guitar solos. It’s just so good. And I would definitely say to give this song a listen if you haven’t, it’s pretty great.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your July favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great July :).

July Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my July Play Box from Sephora and thought that today would be a good day to go through it. The theme this month is Desert Island Essentials, basically it’s products that if you were on a desert island would serve you well. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure, the front is a see through green with various beauty and lifestyle products and Play! By Sephora in the middle. The back is white with ‘Ready. Set. Play! #SephoraPlay’ written in green.

JLSP1

The first product we have is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. This is something I use often and have been using for a while. It has a gentle formula, you don’t have to tug to remove any makeup and it really does take everything off. This is something I always recommend to people and will probably continue to do so.

JLSP2

Next we have the Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser with Bamboo Booster. This is a cleansing balm that is supposed to take off all of the water resistant, long lasting makeup and remove any traces of makeup/dirt/sunscreen. It also comes with a little packet of Bamboo Booster which is a bamboo extract and charcoal powder mix. You add that to your Slaai and it is supposed to exfoliate and help to remove dead skin cells. I’ve never actually used anything from Drunk Elephant so I’m excited to try this out.

JLSP3

JLSP4

Moving on we have the Caudalie Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum. This is supposed to get rid of blemishes and reduce the look of pores, it also doubles as an overnight spot treatment. You guys know how much I like Caudalie as a brand, so I’m excited to try this and I’ll let you know what I think.

JLSP6

The next product we have is the Kiehl’s Ginger Leaf and Hibiscus Firming Mask. This is an overnight mask that you put on before bed and is supposed to leave you with smoother and firmer skin. I don’t usually wear overnight masks, but since I’ve been wearing the overnight lip mask I’ve been looking into them, so this one comes at a great time.

JLSP5

The second to last product we have is the Bite Beauty Matte Cream Lip Crayon in Glace. I have this exact lip crayon and I love the color. It’s a dusty mauve and it goes so well with so many different looks. It’s super pigmented, and long wearing. Bite Beauty has so many great products and if you haven’t ever checked them out I definitely recommend it.

JLSP7

JLSP8

And the last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Love Eau So Sweet. This is a very complex scent, it’s fruity, floral and a little sugary. But it’s so well balanced and every time you smell it you can pick out something different. It’s like the perfect summer scent. I would recommend smelling it if you haven’t and you get the chance to.

JLSP9

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your July Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Spring Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be sharing my spring skincare routine with you. I’ve done a few of these posts in the past and I quite like them. I have two routines, one from the beginning of spring and one that I’ve been doing more recently and that includes products that I got more recently. I will link all the products I mention below. That being said, let’s get into it.

So for the first routine, the first thing I do is use the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lips and Lashes. It has a great formula that is really gentle but super effective, no scrubbing needed. I put this on a cotton pad and swipe it over my eyes and lips.

JNSP4

My next step is to take off the rest of my makeup and for that I use the IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cleanser. All you do is gently massage this onto wet skin for about 30 seconds and rinse when you’re done. This is different to other cleansers because it not only cleanses but it moisturizes. The first time I used this I wanted to see how good it really was so I didn’t use anything else after and I was impressed. So it’s great in either application.

MRSP2

After that I use the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence. I put this on a cotton pad and swipe it over my entire face. This really helps to remove any dead skin cells so your serums and moisturizers can really sink in to work to their fullest.

JSP5

My next step is serum and I have two that I go between. The first is the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. This is really great for evening out your skin tone and brightening your skin. The second is the Olehenriksen Truth Serum. This is full of Vitamin C, aloe juice and green tea and orange extracts. It’s super hydrating and also brightens your skin.

OSP3

SSP7

I follow that with my moisturizer, which is the Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream. I recently repurchased this because I was using it almost everyday and it’s so good. It’s very moisturizing, it sinks in to the skin quickly and my skin loves it.

AGSP9

My second to last step is to apply eye cream. For that I use my holy grail eye cream that I talk about all the time, Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb. I’ve been using this for a while now and I love it.

FSP3

And the last thing I do, and I do this right before I go to bed, is to put on a lip product. I have two that I go between. The first is Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Natural, I’ve been using this for a while and it always makes my lips super soft. And the second is Vanilla Softlips. I’ve been using Softlips for years and it’s a product that I know is always going to hydrate my lips and smell good doing it.

JSP4

AF3

On to the second routine, this has quite a few new/different products starting with what I use to take off my eye makeup. And that is the Lancôme Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover. This easily takes off all of the long lasting/waterproof whatever I’m wearing and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

DSP5

My next step is to take off the rest of my makeup and to do that I use the Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water. This is a very recent addition to my skincare routine and I’ve really been liking it. I put it on a cotton pad and swipe over my entire face. This is soap free so you don’t have to rinse after using and it has Matcha Green Tea extract which is great for the skin.

APB8

I follow that with the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence.

JSP5

And my serums, Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum and Olehenriksen Truth Serum.

OSP3

SSP7

I then moisturize using the Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto Replenishing Hydrator. This is incredible. It sinks in to the skin quickly, it’s light and it does keep hydrating your skin. My face feels so soft after using it, it’s been a game changer in my routine.

FBSP3

My second to last step is eye cream and for that I use the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. This is the only thing I’ve tried that really rivals the Belif cream. This is really good. It hydrates, brightens and I can tell that I look more refreshed after using it.

APB9

When it comes to putting on a lip product, besides the Vanilla Softlips, I’m also using the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment in Dream. This always leaves my lips feeling really moisturized and it smells amazing.

AF3

APB4

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routine and you can never have too many skincare products :).

February Favorites

Hi everyone,

Today, as it’s the end of the month, I’m going to be doing my favorites. This month I feel like I tried a lot of new things and liked a lot of new things, so let’s get into it.

Starting off with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my February Sephora Play Box and if you haven’t read that post I’ll leave a link down below. The first favorite I have is the Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto Replenishing Hydrator. I’ve been using this since I got it and holy hydration Batman, it’s incredible. I’ve used and continue to use quite a few different moisturizers that have been great but this one is so different. It’s light and sinks into my skin quickly, my face feels so soft after using it and it really does hydrate for 72 hours. Over the weekend I had a day where I didn’t wear any makeup and I could feel this still working and I’m so impressed and I definitely recommend giving this a try.

FBSP3

My second Sephora Play favorite is the Clinique Quickliner for Eyes Intense in Intense Ebony. This is so good. It goes on really smooth, is nicely pigmented and once it’s on it stays in place. I know this comes in others colors, so I’m going to for sure take a look at those.

FBSP5

FBSP6

My last Play favorite is the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. I’ve mentioned before how much I like Bite Beauty, they make some of my favorite lipsticks, and this one has now become one of them. This is in a deep brick red shade and it’s so pretty. The formulation of these lipsticks is fantastic and they have great staying power.

FBSP7

FBSP8

FBSP9

I’m also including a picture of me wearing the Clinique eyeliner and the Bite Beauty lipstick so you can see what they look like on.

FBSP11

I have two more beauty favorites and the first of those is the Curel HydraTherapy Wet Skin Moisturizer. This came from the Winter Walmart Beauty Box, I’ll leave a link to that post below. For me the worst part about showering is moisturizing afterwards, I don’t know why, maybe because I feel like it takes too long. So when I saw this I was excited and I’m absolutely loving it. You apply it right after you get out of the shower, then towel dry and you’re good. I have noticed that my skin overall seems to be softer and I already went a bought a bigger version.

WWBB7

And my last beauty favorite is the Karrueche X ColourPop She Palette. I did a whole post on this palette, link will be below, and since getting it, I’ve been playing around and creating different looks and having a lot of fun. One of the main things that drew me to this palette was the fact that I don’t have a lot of these colors. There’s 12 overall, 4 lighter shimmers, 4 metallic and 4 mattes. ColourPop is a great brand and I always look forward to buying from them.

CPP1

CPP7

My next favorite is a racing favorite and it’s the NHRA. Racing season started again this month and the first two races have been great. We’re in for an exciting season and as always I’m back to writing about it, so if you’re interested keep and eye out for those posts.

And my last favorite is a music favorite. It’s the Doobie Brothers album World Gone Crazy. This album came out a few years ago, but it plays like the rest of the Doobie Brothers music, timeless. I grew up listening to their music, in fact when I was in the 4th grade we had to do one of those ‘get to know each other’ projects and when it came to part where we had to show our current favorite album, I pulled out the Best of the Doobies CD. So I’ve always been a fan. What I like about this album is that top to bottom, there isn’t a song that I don’t like. The songwriting is fantastic and to me it sounds like quintessential Doobie Brothers. If you haven’t listened to it I highly recommend doing so.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not, I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great February :).

February Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Today, I’m excited to say, we’re going to be unboxing my February Play box from Sephora. I received this yesterday and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme for this month is Lovestruck Beauty, so it’s all about giving yourself and your routine a little love. The bag is plastic with a snap and lock closure, the front is a see through red with various beauty and lifestyle objects and Play! By Sephora in the middle. The back of the bag is white and says ‘Open here to start your next beauty adventure #SephoraPlay’ in red with an arrow pointing towards the top of the bag.

FBSP1

The first product we have is the Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks. This is a set of gold foil eye masks that is supposed to reduce the appearance of any dark circles, while hydrating and brightening. I really like eye masks, so I can’t wait to try these and I’ll let you know what I think.

FBSP2

The second product we have is the Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto Replenishing Hydrator. This is a gel cream that is supposed to keep your skin very hydrated, moisturized and can do so for up to 72 hours. I’ve heard a lot of great things about this, and I’m always down to try a new moisturizer, but I hadn’t gotten around to trying it, so I’m excited to try it out.

FBSP3

Next up we have the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream. This has a vitamin fruit complex (orange and lemon extracts with vitamins C, E and B5) and is supposed to give your skin a nice glow, while helping to reduce any dullness and uneven skin tone. I did a little test of this on my hand and it not only smells really nice, but it was lightweight and seemed to sink in quickly.

FBSP4

The fourth product we have, I’m wearing today, and it’s the Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in Intense Ebony. This particular shade is a deep black and it’s nicely pigmented. When I put this on it went on really smooth and it hasn’t budged since. If you’re looking for a liner that’s going to stick around, then definitely check this out.

FBSP5

FBSP6

The second to last product I’m also wearing today, and it’s the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. Bite Beauty makes some of my favorite lipsticks and this one is no different. This shade is a really nice deep brick red, which is a red I don’t really have so this is a great addition to my lipstick drawer.  I really like that the Bite Beauty lipsticks have great staying power and the formulation is fantastic. And the fact that pretty much every shade is gorgeous.

FBSP7

FBSP8

FBSP9

I actually remembered to take a picture earlier, so this is my makeup today with the addition of the Clinique eyeliner and the Bite Beauty lipstick.

FBSP11

The last product we have, this month’s bonus, is the Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy. I can’t even tell you how good this smells. I find this to be a very well balanced fragrance. It has floral notes, but it’s not overpowering, with fruity and fresh/woody undertones. If you haven’t smelled this, I would definitely recommend doing so if you get the chance.

FBSP10

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your February Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Blogmas Day Six: Winter Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Six! Today I’m going to be showing you guys my winter skincare routine. I’ve done a couple of these posts before, I did one last winter and I’ll link that down below. I have two different routines that I’ve been doing, so I’ll go through them both. And I’ll also leave links for all of the products that I mention, so let’s get into it.

So, there are two things that I always use no matter what, and the first is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. I really like this, it has a gentle formula and you don’t have to scrub to get your makeup off. I put this on a cotton pad, swipe it over my eyes/lips and that’s it. Super easy and effective.

JNSP4

My next step is to remove the rest of my makeup, and for that I use the Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. With this, you put some in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together until it gets foamy and then you put it on your face. It takes off everything and leaves your skin feeling really good.

JLGB9

Next, I use the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence. You put this on before any serums and moisturizers and it removes any dead skin cells, so those serums and moisturizers can really sink into your skin and do what they’re supposed to do. And I just put this on a cotton pad and wipe it over my entire face.

JSP5

Since it’s winter and the cold can be so harsh on the skin, I’ve been using serums. I don’t always use a serum, but I think that’s probably going to change after this winter. This one is the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. This helps to even out your skin tone and it brightens, which I really appreciate this time of year.

OSP3

I follow the serum with my moisturizer and that is the Lancôme Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Face Cream. I like this a lot, the formulation is cool because it goes from a cream and transitions into a water gel. It makes my skin feel really soft and hydrated.

NSP4

The second to last thing I do is put on eye cream and for that I use the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb. This is probably my favorite eye cream that I’ve used and I swear by it.

FSP3

And the last thing I do, which I do right before I go the bed, is put on a lip product. I rotate between two products, it was three but I ran out of one and haven’t repurchased yet. But the two that I rotate between is Vanilla Softlips, which I’ve been using for years and Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. The Bite Beauty Lip Mask I’ve been loving for almost a year, it’s so moisturizing and makes my lips feel so soft.

JSP4

AF3

On to the second routine that I’ve been doing, the first couple steps are the same.

JNSP4

JLGB9

JSP5

So, for this routine one thing that’s different is the serum that I use. I’ve been using the Olehenriksen Truth Serum. This has Vitamin C along with orange and green tea extracts and aloe juice. It’s incredibly hydrating and brightens your skin. It also smells really good. It smells just like these Vitamin C tablets my parents would buy when I was a kid, so there’s some nostalgia there.

SSP7

The next step, moisturizing, is also different. The moisturizer I use here is the Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream. This has a little bit of a thicker consistency, but it’s quick absorbing and very hydrating.

AGSP9

The eye cream and the lip products are the same as the first routine.

FSP3

JSP4

AF3

Something I also make sure to really do during winter is moisturize my hands and the rest of my body. The cold can be harsh on the skin so moisturizing is extra important. What I’m using is the Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar 24 Hour Moisture Ultra Shea Body Cream. I keep this big one on my nightstand and I have a small one in my handbag. I also have in my handbag a small Jergens Ultra Healing lotion, I don’t have a picture of that one. It has vitamins C, E and B5. It’s a great lotion to have around.

DF2

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what you do use.

Until next time, you can never have too many moisturizers and I can’t believe we’re halfway through Blogmas :).

Summer skincare routine

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing my summer skincare routine, I did one of these during the winter and I enjoyed it so I figured I would do another. If you never read the winter one, I will link it down below. Before I get into this I’m going to be completely honest with you guys, I spent time yesterday taking some photos for this and it was great. I had the perfect lighting and I was really excited to post these pictures. However, when I went to look at the pictures on my laptop they were gone. I don’t know what happened or how it happened, but I’m not thrilled with it, so I’ll be using the existing pictures I have of these products. But if at any point in the future I’m able to recover the photos I will come back and insert them. I will be linking all the products down below, and with that said, let’s get into it.

I’ve been using a few different products this summer. Because I do subscribe to Sephora Play, I’m always getting new products and incorporating them into my routine, so I now have two routines that I switch between. At the very start of the summer, this is what it looked like. To take off my makeup I would use the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. One pump of this goes into my hand and I rub my hands together until it gets foamy then I put it on my face. I’ve been able to get away with just using this and not a secondary cleanser because I haven’t been wearing as much makeup/ not as heavy coverage wise, this summer.

JLGB9

The next thing I do is take the Caudalie Vine Activ Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum and put a couple drops of that into my moisturizer, which is the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. On it’s own the Moisturizing Sorbet is amazing and I absolutely love it, but the addition of the Serum gives your skin that extra boost.

SSK1

JLGB4

And the final thing I do is take my favorite eye cream, the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb and apply that. It really is one of the best eye creams I’ve ever used.

FSP3

The last thing I do is put something on my lips. I have three products that I use and I rotate through them. I’ll put all the pictures in the second routine so it’s not to repetitive.

The second routine I have is to start I’ve been using the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips. I really like this because it has a gentle formula and it doesn’t sting or irritate my skin and to apply I put this on a cotton pad.

JNSP4

Then to remove the rest of my makeup, I’ll use the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel.

JLGB9

The next thing I do is use the Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence. I put this on a cotton pad and rub it over my entire face and it removes your dead skin cells so whatever serums and moisturizers you’re using can really sink in and do what they’re supposed to do. And since getting this, I use it with my other routine to complete the Caudalie trifecta.

JSP5

Next I use the Murad Nutrient Charged Water Gel to moisturize my face and I honestly love this. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly moisturized.

JNSP3

The second to last thing I do is apply the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb.

FSP3

And the last thing I do, is put something on my lips. I rotate between Vanilla Softlips, SKYN Iceland Berry Lip Fix with Wintered Red Algae and Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. I wear a lot of lipsticks and other lip products, so I’ve always taken extra steps to make sure I moisturize my lips. I’ve been using Vanilla Softlips for ages and it never does me wrong, plus it has an SPF in it. The SKYN Iceland Berry Lip Fix is a favorite of mine from the winter and it does a great job of preventing lips cracking and it was great when I got sunburnt. And the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask is a product I love to pieces and I’ve loved for a while. It makes my lips feel so smooth and hydrated.

AF3

NGB3

JSP4

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys use any of the same products in your summer skincare routine let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, you can never have too many skincare products and I hope you’re having a great summer :).

January favorites

Hi everyone,

As today is January 30th, I thought it would be the perfect time to do my January favorites. I have a pretty good range of items so lets get into it.

Starting with beauty, I didn’t really try out a whole lot of new products this month so I only have two things, one actual product and one honorable mention. The actual item is the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. I ordered two of these, one in Champagne and the other in Natural, and the one I’m using right now is Champagne. But these are probably one of my favorite lip products I’ve ever used. Not only do they smell good, but they are incredibly moisturizing and they make my lips so soft. I highly recommend them. And my honorable mention is the Bite Beauty Sephora Insider birthday gift. I talked about that recently so I’ll leave a link to that post down below.

MJH1

Moving on to fashion, we have a pair of Fabletics leggings. I bought these recently and have since worn them a couple of times and I really like them. The fit is great and I love the pattern.

MJH9

Next up I have an app favorite and it’s Homescapes. I’ve been seeing this app everywhere for a while and a few of my friends have it so the other night when I couldn’t fall asleep I downloaded it and I love it. It didn’t help me with falling asleep because I was hooked and now I understand why it’s so popular.

Since I’m on the subject of apps, I know I mentioned Poshmark a little while ago, still loving it, and yesterday I added a bunch of new items to my closet. I’m KyraSage18 for anyone interested :).

From apps we go to TV shows, I don’t watch a whole lot of TV but this month I’ve really been loving season two of Better Late Than Never. If you’ve never watched it stars William Shatner, Henry Winkler, Terry Bradshaw, George Foreman and Jeff Dye and they go on adventures all over the world. In my opinion it’s one of the funniest shows, nothing makes me cry laugh like this show but there are also some really endearing moments. And I definitely recommend checking it out.

My second to last favorite is IMSA. Their season just started with the 24 of Daytona, one of my favorite races, and it was a great race. Besides drag racing, IMSA is my favorite series so I’m happy it’s back.

And my last favorite is a music favorite and it’s the song The Core by Eric Clapton. You guys know how much I love EC, he’s one of my favorites. This song is one that I heard a long time ago, really liked and then never really did anything about, didn’t buy it from iTunes or anything like that. Then last week I saw a video of Clapton playing it during a concert and it reminded me just how much I love it. It’s from the Slowhand album, which is an album I think people tend to forget about because it’s an earlier album but it has some of my favorite songs on it. Definitely check out the song and the album if you haven’t listened to either.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what you guys loved this month.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great January :).
