Three Recent Looks, Too Faced You Drive Me Glazy Palette

Hi everyone,

As promised, today we have one of my favorite styles of post, a Three Recent Looks, and this time it’s all about the Too Faced You Drive Me Glazy Palette. I’ve really been liking this palette a lot, there’s a lot of versatility and I definitely recommend.

So, for the first look I wanted to do something with the lighter shades, so I went for a champagne sparkle and it’s become one of my favorite subtle sparkly looks.

The first thing I did was prime my face, and you won’t see this in any of the pictures because I had a sample and simply threw it away when I was done without thinking, but I used the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Item Beauty Air Hug Concealer in 100 and I set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed and to do that, I used the third shade in the Ace Beaute Bronzed In Paradise Palette. Then I applied the Kiss Miss blush from the Too Faced You Drive Me Glazy palette and used the shade Glowing from the Ace Beaute Glow Essentials Highlighter Palette, to highlight.

When it came to my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette and in the crease, I applied a light-ish layer of Drummer Girl. Then, all over my lid, I applied Ho Ho-Nut. I then took Drummer Girl and ran it about 3/4 of the way under my eye and for the rest and the inner corner of my eye, applied Ho Ho-Nut. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Laura Gellar Lash Boss Mascara. For my lips, I lined them first with the Model Co Illusion Lip Liner and on top of that, applied the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

For my second look I did something that I do with most every palette, if it’s an option, a brown and gold combo. Now, with this palette there are multiple ways to do brown and gold, but this was the one I was feeling on the day.

The first thing I did was prime my face with the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Item Beauty Air Hug Concealer in 100 and I set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, I went into the Ofra Mini Mix Face Palette in Good To Go and used that for everything. Bronzer is Current, blush is Intentions and highlight is the lightest shade from All Of The Lights.

The first thing I did for my eyes was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into then palette and using Maple Bar, I created a little wing, then brought it about halfway onto my lid. For the rest of my lid I applied Such A Snowflake. I then brought Maple Bar under my eye about halfway and for the rest and the inner corner of my eye, applied more of Such A Snowflake. I wanted a little more depth, but didn’t want to overpower the look with a lot of liner, so I took the NYX Slide On Glide On Eyeliner Pencil in SL15 – Brown Perfection, and did just a little. I topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips, I started to line them with the Beauty Vaulte Kozy Kira liner, but ended up putting it all over my lips, and for a little shine, topped that with a very light layer of the Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Glossy Balm in Nearly Neutral. I set everything with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

For the third look I wanted to do something more dramatic and use one of the darker shades I had been eyeing because it’s really pretty in the pan and I liked the swatch. I will say, I don’t love how it translated onto the eye, and I had the same problem with this shadow that I did with the shade Jam Packed. I don’t know if it’s just a formulation issue, but by the end of the day, there was only a small line of it left on my eye.

But, as for how I did it, I first primed my face with the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Item Beauty Air Hug Concealer in 100 and I set it with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Translucent.

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer. Then I applied the Kiss Miss blush and highlighted with the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter.

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the palette, I applied a very light layer of Drummer Girl in the crease. Then all over my lid, I applied Blueberry Blitzen. I didn’t want too dark of an undereye, so I applied Drummer Girl 90% of the way, and for the inner corner of my eye, applied a little bit of the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Too faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I lined my lips with the Model Co Illusion Lip liner, then filled them in with a light layer of the Sephora Collection #LipStories Lip Balm in Roller Boogie, which I’m really liking, and for a little more shine, I topped that with just a bit of the Nars Afterglow Lip Shine in Orgasm. And I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have a favorite look let me know which, and if you have this palette, I’d love to know what your favorite look is that you’ve done with it. Like I said, this is one of my favorite styles of post, so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Hi everyone,

Today I’m back with one of my favorite types of posts, a Three Recent Looks. This time with the Ace Beaute Falling For You Palette. I received this palette in my October BoxyCharm box and I really like it. It’s versatile, the shadows are all very pigmented, smooth, blendable and I think that this is a great fall palette. I’m having a lot of fun playing around with it.

For the first look I wanted to do something with the pink and purple shadows and I’m so pleased with how it came out. I’ve recreated this look since and I think it’s a fun one. For the other half and the inner corner of my eye, I applied Apple. I lined my eyes with the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black and topped it off with the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara. For my lips I lined them using the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil and filled them in with the KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Muneca. For the third look I wanted to do something that was bright. I should have included pictures of another look I did after this because I did bright with it in another way, but if I recreate it, I’ll post pictures on my social media. 3 Recent Looks Lime Crime Venus III Palette Edition

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! Today I have a post that I really like doing, and that is a 3 recent looks. This time it’s going to be about the Lime Crime Venus III Palette. This is a palette that I really like a lot and I’ve been having fun playing around with it.

The first look we have is the first look I did with the palette and I wanted to do something fun a bright, so this is what I came up with. The first thing I did was prime my face and to do that I used the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and Ofra Pressed Banana Powder to set it.

IMG_7721

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed using the Nars Laguna bronzer. Then I applied just a little bit of the Too Faced Makeup & Be Merry blush and highlighted using the Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

IMG_7728

IMG_7730

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette and the first shadow I used is Ecstasy and I put that in the crease, but I did so with a light hand and built it up just a little bit. Then I took Paradise and packed that on the outer and inner corners of my eyes, making sure to bring it in a little bit on both sides but leaving a space in the middle. For the space in the middle, I mixed Beam and Rapture and it created a really pretty effect. I then took Paradise and put it under my eye from the outer corner to about 2/3rds of the way in and for the rest and into the inner corner I used Beam. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips I wanted a nice pink, so I used the Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous and I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

IMG_7724

IMG_7571

For the second look I wanted to do something with the pink shadows in the palette and I really like how this look came out. The first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nuge Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 250, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_7721

For the rest of my face I used the same products as the first look. Nars bronzer in Laguna, Too Faced Makeup & Be Merry blush and Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

IMG_7728

IMG_7730

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them with the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. I then went into the palette and used the shade Dreamy. I took that and put it in the crease, building it up just a little bit. I then took Bliss and packed that onto the outer corner of my eyes, bringing it up into the crease just a little and onto the lid. For the rest of my eye I applied Beam and blended that with Bliss. I then took Bliss under my eye from the outer corner about 2/3rds of the way in and for the rest and into the inner corner, I applied Beam. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I wanted a pink, so I used the Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous. And I set everything with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

IMG_7725

IMG_7732

IMG_7597

For the third look I wanted to do something different to the first two and I think it came out so good. I like this one a lot. The first thing I did was prime my face using the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_7726

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze using the Too Faced Extra Toasty bronzer. I then applied the Too Faced Daydreamer blush and Too Faced Angel Kisses highlighter.

IMG_7727

IMG_7734

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I took Ecstasy and packed that into the crease. I really like using eyeshadow as liner, so I took and angled brush and lined my eyes using Ecstasy. I then connected the crease and the tip of the liner for a bigger effect and for a bit of sparkle I tapped on a little bit of Heavenly. I topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara. For my lips I wanted something brown to bring it all together, so I took the Beauty Vaulte Kozy Kira Lip Liner and put it all over my lips, topping it with the Nars AfterGlow Lip Balm in Laguna. And I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

Blogmas Day Eight: BoxyCharm A Yearish In Review

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Eight! Today I thought it would be fun to have a look through the BoxyCharm boxes I’ve received this year and talk about my favorites and what I’m still using. I called this a yearish in review because I subscribed at the end of April, after Sephora Play ended. Just a quick refresher, BoxyCharm is a $25 a month subscription box and you get 5 full size items. There are multiple levels of this box so you can upgrade and each month they have great sales if you’re a subscriber.

Like I said, I first subscribed at the end of April, but they were nice enough to send me the April box and that immediately let me know that I had made the right decision in subscribing to them. So the April box was a good intro of what was to come.

The first thing and the thing I use the most from the April box is the Murad Hydra-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes. I’ve been using this eye cream since I got it and it’s incredible. The Alamar Cosmetics Colorete Blush Trio in Medium-Tan has become a mainstay in my blush rotation and recently Alamar upgraded the packaging and I think they tweaked the formula a little. These blushes are super pigmented, but they’re also very buildable and easy to work with. The last item in the box that I use a lot is the Vintage By Jessica Liebeskind Cashmere Lip Penchil in Mocha. This is a nice medium brown, as the name would suggest and it works great as a liner and an all over lip color. I do want to give an honorable mention to the Ciate London Eye Lustre Creme Eyeshadow in Cupid. I do like it a lot, but I don’t use it as often as the items I mentioned.

IMG_5507

The May box was, if I’m being honest, not my personal favorite and not very well liked in the Boxy community. But despite that I did have two things that I liked. The first is the Ayam BeautyCare Dead Sea Minerals + Vitamin C Serum Makeup Remover Wipes. I don’t use makeup wipes a lot, but I used these on my face a few times and the rest of them I used to remove swatches and they did an incredible job. This is definitely a good item to have in the skincare cabinet. The other item is the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. This is a tackier primer, but it dries down translucent and it really helps your eyeshadow pop.

IMG_5532 (1)

The June Box had quite a few good things in it, starting with the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm. This is a super hydrating primer that comes from a Korean skincare brand and Korean skincare is pretty incredible. This smells really good, sinks into the skin quickly and gives you a nice glow. Then we have the Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Coco Bling. This is a light silver and it has a really pretty glow. I like to use this on my face, but it’s also great for all over the body. My last favorite from the June box is the Beauty Vaulte Circadian Lip Liner Trio. This has three liners, a true brown, a rusty brown and a red. These are all really creamy, long lasting and are great as liners and all over lip colors.

IMG_5648 (1)

The July box really felt like summer to me. It featured one of my favorite beauty tools that I literally use every day, the Lavish Quick Color Switch Dry Brush Cleaner. This is a sponge that you swirl your brush on and it removes the pigment. This is also super easy to clean and I appreciate that. One of my favorite products this summer came from this box and it’s the Ciate London Everyday Vacay Coconut Setting Spray. Not only does this smell incredible, but it gives you a glowy and dewy finish. 10/10 setting spray. My last July favorite is the Pur Cosmetics Festival 2.0 Eyeshadow Palette. This is something I wanted from the minute I saw the pictures and since then I’ve used it a ton and created some really fun looks. This has 6 shimmers/glitters shadows, 4 mattes and 2 satins. The color range is really nice, so I find it to be a versatile palette.

IMG_5842 (1)

August was another really good box. It featured what has become a staple in my skincare routine, the Minetan Body Skin Hydra Glow Sleep Serum. This does wonders for the skin, it works in time release, so as you’re asleep it continues to hydrate. The second item I love and use often is the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Primer. This does a great job of not only enhancing your eyeshadow, but it also locks it in. The Trestique Summer Glow + Go Set is something that I’ve been using a ton since I got it. It is a four piece set with a cream blush, cream highlight, eyeshadow and brow pencil. Out of the four, I use the highlighter which is in the shade Maldives, a gorgeous champagney shade that has the perfect amount of shimmer and the eyeshadow, which is in the shade Tahitian Shimmer, a brown/gold/bronze color, the most. The last item I love from the August box is the Clarins Velvet Lip Perfector in 03, Velvet Red. This quickly became one of my favorite red lipsticks and I wear it all the time.

892AEC5B-6C9A-4959-BF71-C7FE90F9976B (1)

My favorites from the September box came in the form of two eye products. The first is Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Shadows in Private Jet & Shimmering Sunset. Private Jet is a light pink with a lot of warmth and Shimmering Sunset is an amber/rose gold glitter. The matte has a doe foot applicator and shimmer has a pointed brush. My other favorite is the Alamar Cosmetics Spanglish Pressed Pigment Palette. This has 8 shadows, 4 mattes and 4 shimmers. It does have a lot of fun colors, but it also has some more neutral shades so you can create a number of different looks.

752A01FE-F2A1-44AA-8255-5F28B69F2DC9 (1)

The October box had a few things that I still use, but my favorites from the box were the Ciate London New England Editor Palette. This is an 18 pan palette and has a great mix of metallics, glitters and mattes. There is a wide color range and I find this to be a very versatile palette. My other favorite is the RealHer Ultimate Glow Getter Cheek Trio. This has a blush, bronzer and highlighter that are all very nicely pigmented, blendable, buildable and the packaging with the marbling and rose gold lettering is super cute.

BBFD2F26-306C-4FDB-BDF8-BFF3A2A3FB06 (1)

The November box gave me my first Natasha Denona experience in an exclusive palette for BoxyCharm, the Natasha Denona Peak Palette. This is a 5 pan palette that has all the colors of fall in it. I really like these mini ND palettes and I’m definitely going to be picking up a few more. The other item I really liked is the Bodyography Eye Pencil Duo. This came with two eye pencils in Black Walnut and Onyx. These are infused with coconut oil so they glide on but you can also get a crisp line and if you’re going for a smoky look, they smudge easily.

IMG_6587 (1)

I’m not going to talk about the December box because I’m going to be mentioning my favorites from it in my December Favorites post.

That about wraps it up for this post, this is definitely the best beauty subscription I’ve had and I’m excited to see what products I’ll get in 2021. If you guys are Boxy subscribers, I’d love to know what your favorite box was this year.

Until next time, I can’t wait to see what’s in my January box and I hope you’re enjoying Blogmas :).

Blogmas Day Three: Red Lipstick and Liner Collection

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Three! As one of the essentials for the holiday season is red lipstick, I thought it would be fun to show you my current collection of red liners and lipsticks.

IMG_6740

Starting with liners, the one red liner I have is the Beauty Vaulte liner in Natty Nat. As far as tone, this is a pretty true and classic red that goes with a lot of the lipsticks in my collection, but I also really like it as and all over lip color.

IMG_6741

IMG_6742

IMG_6743

Going into lipsticks, the first one we have is the NYX Shout Loud Satin Lipstick in Red Haute. This is a nice warm red. These lipsticks are nicely pigmented and are infused with mango and shea butter so you get 4 hours of hydration.

IMG_6744

IMG_6745

IMG_6746

Moving on, the next lipstick we have is the e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet. This is a lipstick that I’ve repurchased many times over the years. This is really rich and creamy when you put it on and the color is very vibrant. e.l.f. lipsticks have a great formula and I always recommend them if someone is looking for a good drugstore lipstick.

IMG_6747

IMG_6748

IMG_6749

Next up we have the Sephora Collection Matte Lipstick in 23-Cabin Fever/23-After Hours. This is a darker red and I really like it. It’s so pigmented and long lasting and during the holidays and during college football season, this is a lipstick I wear a lot.

IMG_6750

IMG_6751

IMG_6752

Next up we have the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. Bite Beauty did discontinue their Amuse Bouche lipsticks, I believe it was to reformulate and from what I understand they’re supposed to be relaunching sometime soon. I have quite a few of the Amuse Bouche lipsticks and I really like the formulation and pigmentation of them all. This one is a darker red, ever so slightly than the SC Cabin Fever, and it’s so pretty.

IMG_6753

IMG_6754

IMG_6755

The last of the bullet lipsticks is the MAC Matte Lipstick in 640, Red Rock. This is the first MAC lipstick I’ve had and when I was shopping for it there was no question in my mind that I had to buy a red because MAC does red so well. This shade in particular is a really classic, true red and it’s just so good in every way.

IMG_6756

IMG_6757

IMG_6758

The second to last lipstick we have is the YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Lip Stain in 5-Rosewood Gang. This is a lip stain so it’s a little bit lighter and I do like to layer it, but it stands up well to that and doesn’t get gloppy. Color wise this looks red on me, but it does have some pink/purple undertones. I’m actually running low and I need to pick up another one.

IMG_6759

IMG_6760

IMG_6761 (1)

And the last lipstick we have is the Clarins Velvet Lip Perfector in 03 Velvet Red. This is a liquid lipstick in a matte finish with shea butter that is super pigmented. This lipstick feels very light on the lips, which I appreciate and I do like the cushion applicator.

IMG_6764

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have any of the same lipsticks let me know which and if not I’d love to know what your favorite red lipstick is for the holidays :).

3 Recent Looks, Pur Cosmetics Festival 2.0 Palette Edition

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! Today I’m going to be doing one of my favorite types of posts, a Recent Looks. This time it’s all about looks I did with the Pur Cosmetics Festival 2.0 Palette. I really like this palette a lot, I think it’s very versatile and I like every look I’ve created with it.

The first look we have is the first look I did when I got the palette. I thought that one of the best ways to test the palette would be grab the brightest shade and just go for it. I’m really happy with how it came out. So the first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I went in with my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless foundation in 205, Ivory. Next I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes and a few other places and I set the whole thing with the KVD Lock-It Translucent Setting Powder.

IMG_6094

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze using my Too Faced Extra Toasty bronzer. I then used the Too Faced Daydreamer blush and highlighted using the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

IMG_6096

IMG_6097

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow primer. Then I went in with Dreamland which is a matte peachy/salmon shade and I put that in the crease. Next I applied Turn It Up, a really vibrant hot pink satin shade and I put that on the outer corner on my eye and blended into the crease a little. For the rest of my eye I applied Euphoric, a cream toned glitter. I put a little bit of Turn It Up and Dreamland under my eye and Euphoric in the inner corner of my eye. I lined my eyes using the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner, then applied the Too Faced Damn Girl mascara. Because I did a bold eye I wanted to do a neutral lip, so I lined my lips using the Model Co Illusion Lip Liner and on top of that used the KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Muneca. I set the entire look using the Ciate London Everyday Vacay Coconut Setting Spray.

IMG_6098

IMG_6099

IMG_5854

For the second look I wanted to use the more neutral shades in the palette. The first thing I did was prime my face using the Touch In Sol Glassy Skin Balm. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless foundation in 205, Ivory. Used my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory and set everything with the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder in Translucent Peach Whisper.

IMG_6095

For the rest of my face I first used my Benefit Hoola bronzer. Then I applied the Alamar Cosmetics Isla blush and highlighted with the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

IMG_6100

IMG_6101

When it came to my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Pretty Vulgar Eyeshadow primer. The first shadow I used was Photo Op, a matte light orangey brown and I put that in the crease. Then I used On Set, a matte chocolatey brown and I put that on the outer corner of my eye, a little bit in the crease and blended. For the rest of my eye I applied Pure Bliss, which is a medium toned gold glitter. I put a bit of On Set under my eye and Pure Bliss in the inner corner. I used the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooperto line my eyes and applied the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. For my lips I took the Beauty Vaulte Lip Liner in Natty Nat and put that all over my lips, this is a fantastic red. And I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

The third look I did the other day and I just wanted to have fun with the bold glittery shades. The first thing I did was prime using the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory and set everything with the KVD Lock-It Translucent Setting Powder.

IMG_6094

For the rest of my face I started first with the Too Faced Extra Toasty bronzer. Then I applied the Model Co Blush in Peach Bellini and highlighted with the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

When it came to my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow primer. Then I went in with Insta-Worthy, a matte pinky/brown and I put that in the crease. I then took Electric, a deep blue glitter, and put that on two thirds of my eye. For the rest of my eye I applied Utopia, a light blue glitter with flecks of white and yellow glitter and I blended those together a bit. I then took Insta-Worthy and put that under my eye. I lined my eyes with the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and applied the Benefit They’re Real mascara. For my lips I used the Model Co Illusion Lip Liner and the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Crush. I set the whole look with the Ciate London Everyday Vacay Coconut Setting Spray.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette Looks

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! Today I thought it would be fun to share with you a couple of looks I’ve did recently with the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette. I’m gonna be honest, I did do an additional look and completely forgot to take a picture of it, but the next time I use this palette I’ll recreate the look and put it on Instagram. That being said, let’s get into it.

The first look we have is something I did based off of a couple different looks I saw on Pinterest. The first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. This is one of my favorite primers and it gives a great glow under foundation. Then I went in with my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory. I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes and a few other places and set my face with the KVD Lock-It Translucent setting powder.

IMG_5831

For the rest of my face I went in first with the Too Faced Extra Toasty bronzer, then I applied the Model Co blush in Peach Bellini and I topped it off with the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

IMG_5832

IMG_5833

When it came to my eyes I wanted to do something I hadn’t done before and I’m super happy with the way this came out. The first thing I did was prime my eyes with the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went in to the Cocoa Blend palette and the first shadow I used is Substitute For Love. This is a lighter brown and I lightly applied that in the crease. Then I went in with Freshly Toasted, a rusty matte brown and lightly applied that in the crease as well. Then to build some depth I did a light layer of Beans Are White, a matte black that isn’t too deep and when you do a little amount like I did the gray in it comes through. On the outer corner of my eye and about halfway on the lid I applied Warm Notes which is berry-ish sparkly pink, a really pretty shadow. Then on the other half of my lid I applied Bitter Start which is a light matte nude. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped off the eyes using the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. I wanted a nude lip, so I went in first with the Model Co Illusion Lip Liner then used the KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Muneca and I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I will say that I messed up my swatches because I was trying to do them lightly and they ended up looking weird.

The second look is actually the first one I did when I got the palette and I’ve done a few times since because it’s so good. The first thing I did was prime my face using the First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Pores Be Gone Matte Primer. Then I went in with my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory and set it with the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder in Translucent Peach Whisper.

IMG_5837

For the rest of my face I first went in with the Benefit Hoola bronzer, then I applied the Too Faced Daydreamer blush and topped it off with the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

IMG_5838

IMG_5839

For my eyes I first primed them with the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. The first shadow I used from the Cocoa Blend palette was Substitute For Love and I put that in the crease. Then on the outer corner and in the crease a bit I pack on Freshly Toasted. On the rest of my lid I applied Pure Ganache, this is such a gorgeous shadow. It’s a sparkly copper and it’s super pigmented. It might be my favorite shadow in the palette. I lined my eyes with the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner and topped off the eyes with the Benefit BADgal Bang! mascara. I wanted a neutral/brown lip so I first lined my lips with the Beauty Vaulte Lip Liner in Kozy Kira then applied the Too Faced Peach Kiss Comfort Matte Long Wear Lipstick in the shade Sex On The Peach. I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I did almost forget to take a picture of this look so I grabbed the one that was on my Insta Story so ignore the random caption.

4th Of July Makeup Look

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! Today I thought it would be fun to share with you the makeup look I did for the 4th of July and how I did it. I had quite a few ideas leading up to the 4th about what I wanted to do and ultimately I’m really happy with the one I chose.

So the first thing I did was prime my face and to do that I used the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm. I’ve been liking this a lot. It’s really moisturizing, gives a nice glow under foundation, smells super good and gives you a great base to work with. Next I went in with my foundation, Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless in 205, Ivory. I have to say, now that I’ve switched to the liquid version I like it a lot more and I feel like I’m getting much better coverage. I then applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory, under my eyes and a few other places. And I set it all with the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder in Translucent Peach Whisper.

IMG_5800

For the rest of my face I started with bronzer and used Benefit Hoola. Then I went to what is becoming a go to of mine, the Alamar Cosmetics Colorete Blush Trio in Medium/Tan and used the shade Isla. And I highlighted using the Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

IMG_5801

IMG_5802

When it came to my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer. For this look I wanted to use a palette I hadn’t fully explored, so I went with the Too Faced Pretty Rich Diamond Light Palette. The first shadow I used, as a base, was It’s Designer, a matte nude shadow. Then I went in with Coal Under Pressure, this is somewhere between a medium and deep black and it has flecks of silver glitter in it. I put this in the crease, on the outer corner of the eye and brought it in about halfway on the eye. For the rest of the lid I applied Set The Jewel Tone, which is a really pretty shimmery sapphire blue. Then, for a little extra fun and sparkle, I dabbed Diamond Life on my entire lid. When I originally saw this glitter I thought it would be a great topper and it is. It has a mix of white, blue, black and a darker silver glitter in it. And for a little brightness I put Clutch Your Pearls in the inner corner of my eye and under my brows. To line my eyes I applied the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooperand I topped off the eyes with the Too Faced Damn Girl mascara, it really does give you lashes for days. I knew I wanted to do a red lip so I looked through all of mine and decided on the Beauty Vaulte liner in Natty Nat and on top of that, the Sephora Collection LipStories Matte Lipstick in 23, After Hours. This is a great deep red that I wear a lot during the holidays and college football season. And to set the look I used the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

June Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of the month, I thought today would be the perfect time to do my June favorites. There were so many things I tried and liked this month, but didn’t include because I have them set aside for other posts. I do think I still have a pretty good mix though, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a few favorites from my June BoxyCharm box, and if you haven’t read that post I’ll link it. My first Boxy favorite is the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm. This is a very hydrating primer that leaves your skin super smooth and gives you a lasting glow. I like that it’s enough of a glow that you can see it under foundation but it’s not too much. If you want more of a glow you can apply multiple layers of it to build it up. It also sinks in to the skin pretty quickly and it smells really good.

IMG_5650

IMG_5651

My next Boxy favorite is the Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Coco Bling. This is a loose highlighting powder that has a good amount of shimmer and pigment. This comes in a bunch of different shades, but Coco Bling is a light silver. I find this to be great for face and body and it’s very buildable. I don’t have any other highlighters in this shade or tone, so I’m really enjoying this.

IMG_5658

IMG_5659

IMG_5660

My last Boxy favorite is the Beauty Vaulte Circadian Lip Liner Trio. I really like these. I’ve worn all three of them as liners and as all over lip colors, they go on really smooth and creamy and they have great staying power.

IMG_5661

The first one we have is Kozy Kira and it’s a nice medium brown, this is a brown shade that I didn’t already have as a liner, and I’m glad I do now because it goes with so many of my brown lipsticks.

IMG_5662

IMG_5665

Then we have Beau Babe and this is a rusty brown. This is a perfect match for the Too Faced Gingerbread Man Melted Matte Lipstick.

IMG_5663

IMG_5666

Then we have Natty Nat. This is a deep red and it’s a really good red, I like it a lot.

IMG_5664

IMG_5667

And my last beauty favorite is the e.l.f. Bite Size palette in Cream & Sugar. This has a nice range of light to dark neutral mattes and shimmers. These are colors I tend to gravitate towards when doing a neutral look and I’ve already gotten a lot of use out of it.

IMG_5672

IMG_5673

IMG_5678

Moving on I have a couple of fashion favorites. The first is a black and white American flag shirt from Tactical Pro Supply. I always buy myself new America gear, so I have options not only for July 4th, but for any time of the year. Tactical Pro Supply is a veteran owned company who donates a portion of their proceeds to a charity that’s important to them and I really like that. This shirt in particular is black with a white flag on the back that’s sitting in a cool way, a flag on the right arm and an eagle on the left side on the front.

IMG_5716

IMG_5720

My second fashion favorite is a Team Penske hoodie. Now that racing is slowly but surely starting back up, I thought it was time to treat myself to some new gear. I’m always rooting for the Penske cars in IndyCar and IMSA, and I have so much respect for Roger, I mean he’s The Captain for a reason. But I didn’t have gear to support, so I went to the website and found quite a few things that I’ll probably go back and purchase at some point, but I liked this hoodie a lot. It’s dark grey with the red line and ‘Team Penske’ written in white. It’s so soft on the inside and it keeps me warm and cozy but it’s also really light so I can wear it all year. Additionally it has the holes for your thumbs, which I like.

IMG_5626

And my last favorite is a music favorite and it’s Let Me Love You Baby by B.B. King and Eric Clapton. This is the second previously unreleased song from their album Riding With The King. This song is straight up two blues masters doing what they do best and it’s just so good. I highly recommend giving it a listen if you haven’t heard it.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your June favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great June :).

June 2020 BoxyCharm Unboxing

Hi everyone,

The other day I received my June Box from BoxyCharm and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. I did get a little card this month, so I can tell you that the theme is The Oasis.

IMG_5648

So the first product we have is the QMS MediCosmetics Intensive Eye Care Day & Night Eye Cream. This is supposed to help reduce puffiness, fine lines and dark circles along with hydrating and rejuvenating the under eye. I did a little research into QMS and they seem like a really good brand. I love a good eye cream, so I’ll let you know what I think of this.

IMG_5649

The next product we have is the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm. This is a super hydrating primer that is supposed to leave your skin feeling really smooth and give you a lasting glow. Touch In Sol is a Korean skincare brand and Korean skincare is some of the best. I’ve worn this a couple times since receiving it and so far I do like it. It smells incredible, sinks in to the skin pretty quickly and did give my skin a nice little glow.

IMG_5650

IMG_5651

Moving on, we have the Shared Planet Tiger Collection Eyeshadow Palette. Shared Planet donates a percentage of their proceeds to different animal related charities all over the world, so each purchase you make is likely to help tigers, polar bears and others. This palette in particular is inspired by the tiger and it’s natural habitat, so you have 12 shades, a mix of mattes, shimmers and glitters, that are neutrals with some greens and golds.

IMG_5652

You also get a pretty good size mirror in this palette.

IMG_5654

IMG_5655

I swatched these on my arm in the order they appear in the palette. The first shadow we have is Siberian, a really light matte nude. Next to that is Tiger Eye, a medium gold glittery shade. I found that these more glittery shades had a bit of fall out and glitter sticks around for a bit afterwards. Next to that is Whiskers, a lighter matte brown, then there’s Paw Print, a light pink glittery shadow. Fiery is next and that is like a milk chocolate matte brown and the last shadow in the row is Lush which is a really pretty green with gold glitter.

IMG_5656

The second row starts with Roar, a white/gold glittery shadow. Next to that is Clawed which is a matte rusty brown. Then there’s Sher Khan, a medium chocolatey brown shimmer. Predator is next and that is a dark matte brown, you’ll be able to see, but this one didn’t swatch the best. Then there’s Bengal, a really pretty orange shimmer and the last shadow in the row is Stripes, a matte black. This one didn’t swatch too great either, the darker mattes are a little patchy in my opinion.

IMG_5657

The second to last product we have is the Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Coco Bling, this was my Choice item for the month. This powder comes in a ton of different shades, but Coco Bling is a light silver. It has a nice shine to it and is very buildable.

IMG_5658

IMG_5659

IMG_5660

And the last product we have is actually three products because it’s the Beauty Vaulte Circadian Lip Liner Trio. I’ve worn two of these since I got them and they’re really creamy and long lasting. These would be great as all over lip colors as well.

IMG_5661

The first liner is Kozy Kira and it’s a medium brown shade.

IMG_5662

IMG_5665

Then we have Beau Babe, a rusty brown shade.

IMG_5663

IMG_5666

And finally Natty Nat, which is a deep red.

IMG_5664

IMG_5667

That about wraps it up for this post, if you got any of the same products in your June Box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get in my July box :).
