Valentine’s Day Makeup Looks/Inspiration part one

Hi everyone,

As we’re getting close to Valentine’s Day I thought it would be fun to do some different looks to give some inspiration and just have a little fun with the holiday. I did six looks in total and decided that that would be too many for one post, so I’m doing it in two and this is part one.

Starting with the first look, I wanted something on the softer side because sometimes a soft, romantic look is the perfect thing. The first thing I did was prime my face and for that I used the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer. I got a sample of this but had yet to use it, so I used it in full for every one of these looks. I do actually quite like it and would consider buying a full size. Next I applied my Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed using the Hanalei Beauty Company Matte Bronzer. I like this a lot, it gives a nice bronzed and glowy look and it’s very buildable. For blush and highlight I went into the Ofra Mini Mix Palette in Good To Go. I used the Intentions Blush and a mix of the lightest and pink shades in the All of the Lights Highlighter.

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them using the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. I went with this one because I wanted a white base. I then went into the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party Palette and taking Cream Filling, put that over my whole lid. I then took Sled No One Ever, and put it in the crease and on the outer corner out of my eye. For a little bit of sparkle and highlight, I took Tinsel Town and put that in the inner corner of my eye. I also took Sled No One Ever and put that under my eye all the way. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips, I first lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner Pencil, then I filled them in with the Trestique Prime + Shine Lip Crayon in Paris Pink. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

For the second look I wanted to do something with purple because I don’t wear it very often, but I think it can be a fun shade to play around it and I’m very happy with how this one came out. The first thing I did was prime my face with the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the Lime Crime Venus III Palette and put the shade Dreamy in the crease. Then I went into the Ace Beaute Nostalgia Palette, took the shade Carnival and packed it not only onto the outer corner and into the crease a bit, but I brought it about 3/4 of the way onto my lid. For the rest of my lid I went back to the Lime Crime Venus III Palette and used Beam. I then took Carnival and ran it about 3/4 of the way under my eye and for the rest and in the inner corner of my eye I applied Beam. I lined my waterline with the ColourPop Gel Creme Liner in Amethyst Hour and I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner. I topped it off with the KVD Go Big or Go Home Mascara. For my lips, I applied the Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous and I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

For the third look, and last of this post, I wanted to do a fun, bright pink look and honestly this one might be my favorite. For my face the first thing I did was prime using the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer. I then applied my Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Translucent

For my eyes, I first primed then with the Ace Beaute Eyeshadow Amplifying Base in Light. Then I went into the Powerpuff Girls x ColourPop Palette ( a Three Recent Looks post is coming with this palette), and took the shade The Fashionistas and not only packed it onto the outer corner of my eye and winged it a bit, but I brought it onto my lid about 3/4 of the way. For the rest of my lid I applied Prof. Utonium. I then brought The Fashionistas under my eye about 3/4 of the way and for the rest and in the inner corner of my eye, I applied Prof. Utonium. I lined my eyes with the Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner and topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara. For my lips, I first put on a very light layer of the Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous and topped it with the Trestique Prime + Shine Lip Crayon in Paris Pink. I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for part one of this post, if you have a favorite of these looks I’d love to know which one.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and part two is coming this week :).
