October Glam Bag unboxing

Hi everyone,

First off, I want to say that I know I’m a couple of days late with this so I want to apologize, I’ve been crazy busy. But anyway, I received my October Glam Bag from Ipsy the other day and I wanted to go through it with you guys. The theme for this month is Ipsy Spellbound. It’s about embracing everything bewitching and what this time of year brings, I love this time of year so I think this is a great theme. Something I don’t often talk about is the little cards that come in the bags, they usually have the hashtag for the month and explain what the theme is. This one in particular says In my defense the moon was full and I was left unsupervised. I think that it’s hilarious and completely accurate. Moving on to the bag itself, it’s red with a lace overlay and a little black bat as the zipper. It’s adorable and is perfect for Halloween without being overkill.

The first thing in this month’s bag is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. You guys know how much I love First Aid Beauty, so I was excited when I saw this. I don’t have particularly dry skin but this time of year with the cold I do find myself moisturizing more, especially as the day goes on, so I think I’ll get a lot of use out of this.

Next we have the Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics eyeshadow in Bronzed. My only previous experience with Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics was one of their blushes, which I loved, so I was interested to see what their eyeshadows would be like. I can only describe this color as a dirty gold. I haven’t worn it yet, but I have swatched it and it’s quite pretty. It has a nice sparkle to it, it’s very pigmented and it’s buildable. All good things and I can’t wait to wear it.

The next product is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. I always say that subscribing to Ipsy was the best thing for my eyeliner collection but it’s true and I’m not complaining about it. I wore this the other day and I bloody love it, it glides on so smooth, doesn’t smudge and it truly lasts all day. Definitely recommend it and it comes in a bunch of different and fun colors.

Second to last we have a product that I already love and brand that I have quickly come to love and it’s the MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro. I love a liquid lipstick, most days that’s what I go for so I was intrigued when I saw this in the bag. I’ve honestly fallen in love with it, I will post a picture of myself wearing it, but I did forget the other day. Besides the color being lovely, the formulation as well as the staying power are amazing. I’ll for sure be purchasing other MDMflow lipsticks and I highly recommend them, great brand.

And lastly, we have a Pretty Woman NYC nail polish in Wine With Ice, Garçon. I’m wearing now and it’s so pretty. It’s a deep wine color and if you wrapped up fall in a bag and put a bow on it, it would look like this nail polish. Some of the things I love about the Pretty Woman nail polishes is they’re long lasting, quick drying and high shine. If you’re looking for a good nail polish, check them out.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your October Glam Bag let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get in your bag.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

  1. I got that eyeliner too, except I disagree about the smudging. Apparently I wasn’t careful enough and accidentally smudged it the first time I tried to use it. It does glide on really smooth though.

    • So far I’ve only worn it once and I’m almost certain it going on without smudging was a fluke. If I’m going to mess up I’m more likely to do so with a pencil liner than a liquid and I know I’ll be wearing it more throughout the month so I’ll make sure and detail it in my monthly favorites :).
